Learning management systems are characterized by the fact that the scenarios of their operation are related to various aspects of educational activity, which in turn requires costs for the creation of professional training programs, electronic educational resources and their exploitation. These problems confirm the relevance of research aimed at developing models of life cycles for electronic educational resources, programs and qualification levels of specialists, as well as at creating effective tools for automated management of the learning process. The purpose of this study is to optimize the life cycles of electronic educational resources, training programs, employer requirements and increase efficiency in managing the continuous process of training specialists. Analytical studies of life cycle models of electronic educational content, learning and educational activity management systems, content management systems were carried out in the work in order to select and develop tools for automated design and filling of educational resources, as well as synthesis of the life cycle management system of its main components. Models of the life cycles of the main components of the educational environment have been developed, which allow for their coordination and optimization for the system of automated management of training processes and professional development. Distinctive features of the models are the comprehensive synchronization of the life cycles of all components with the assessment of the effectiveness of this process, as well as adjustment to the changing requirements of the external environment. A model for synchronizing the life cycles of the components of the educational environment, including electronic educational content and a system for managing learning and professional development processes, has been developed. A feature of the model is a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the synchronization process at all its stages for the automated selection and/or synthesis of personalized training programs and electronic resources in accordance with the changing requirements of standards and employers.

Semantic technologies have recently gained considerable influence and attention in the field of technical communication and information management. While metadata management is already a well-known field of content management technologies, its semantic extension addresses more recently, for example, problems of model-based product development and related content engineering processes. On the other hand, dynamic search technology and content delivery can benefit from semantic modelling by enhancing search functionalities or by integrating various data sources utilizing semantic mapping. In this evolving environment, we propose a logical layer of content correlations as so-called semantic correlation rules (SCR). This layer can be understood as an interface between content management systems, semantic modelling systems and content delivery portals. Semantic correlation rules serve as a light-weight ontology consisting primarily of untyped semantic relations between metadata classes. In doing so, class-to-class linking mechanisms can be implemented in content delivery and search environments while serving as a basis for the previously introduced microDoc concept

This study evaluated a WebCT course content management (CCMS) system at the University of Botswana. Survey methodology was used and questionnaires were distributed to 503 students selected from six faculties, and an in-depth interview were conducted involving (20) twenty lecturers who teach via the WebCT platform. Findings reveal that, generally, WebCT CCMS is doing well at the University of Botswana and that the system has been a success. The results also confirm the quality of course materials uploaded on the system, that is, service quality and the quality of the teaching and learning via the system. Furthermore, by learning through WebCT, students are able to self regulate their learning and, given the opportunity, they are ready to use and continue learning using the WebCT platform. Results also indicate that generally students are satisfied with the performance of WebCT and that there are many benefits associated with the system in context to teaching and learning at the university. Problems associated with WebCT CCMS that are experienced by staff and students of the University include access, network /server failure, lack of link between ITS and WebCT, lack of teaching expertise using WebCT, and failure to remove completed courses from the system.

Internet has become priceless tool that enables corporate world to show their capabilities. While Web applications have gained importance on the Internet, security is the only thing to worry. Business data is very critical that floats on the cloud and that's why Web Application Security is rapidly becoming a growing concern for all enterprises. In this paper we tried to show what is Hacking and its symptoms. In web development Content Management System (CMS) is gaining so much popularity as it uses to make easy editing and publishing process for novice even if he doesn't know web programming. There are over thousand of open source CMS available in the market. When we just talk about content management concept two or three names like Joomla, Drupal and WordPress strike in mind. As these are the one of the best CMSs in the market and their community provides nice basic security still we want to compare these CMS and want to know which CMS provides best security. To do the comparison we have done two case studies. In case 1 we have developed one common page in all CMS and host it then after we have applied different web attacks like SQLi, XSS, CSRF etc. and derived their hacking results. In case 2 we used Acunetix WVS Reporter v6.0 to find out the strength of security in different CMS. Apart from this we also try to find out Broken links in all listed CMSs.

Emerging telemedicine frameworks with dynamically adaptive content management systems deliver the proper information at the time and place, when and where it is needed. Aggregated telemedicine sensory data is customized and dynamically presented to the suitable recipient. Such systems and methods have already been in some way available for scientific and industrial application. This presented paper extends the underlying adaptive eHealth content management methodology to the coherent structural implementation of weighted majority voting algorithm. This cognitive human-machine interaction drives the targeted dynamically adaptive eHealth content management system in runtime mode. Telemedicine embraces information technology and telecommunication solutions for the sake of serving healthcare services at remote locations outside of the premises of classical medical institutions. These systems produce and process exponentially growing amount of sensory data. Moreover, they support real-time processing which requires a dynamically scalable and fault tolerant architecture. Utilizing cognitive services, the suitable methods determine the adequate system landscape delivering the suitable medical information from the collected body-sensory data. The underlying methodology utilizes correlation-data between different factors, thus invoking eHealth customizable cognitive content management system. The paper also demonstrates the corresponding sociotechnical environment, the applied cognitive infocommunicational methodologies and the related adaptive technological elements. Finally, the future improvement potential and also the challenges of the presented dynamically adaptive eHealth content management system are analyzed in the paper thoroughly.

In the present time open source content management system (CMS) has gained a big market. Lots of varieties are available based on functionality and platform. As no CMS is best for everyone but when content management principles are concerned, two to three CMS names like Joomla, Drupal and WordPress stick in mind. These CMSs perform well in their preferred conditions. But if anyone wants informative types of website and doesn't require much functionality the question arises that out of these three CMSs which is to be preferred. As there are lot of surveys has been carried out in this area, we have tried to prove statistically by comparing their page performance criteria that which CMS is to be preferred. For doing the same we have created same pages in three CMSs to evaluate their page performance. To evaluate the page performance of these CMSs the pages had been hosted on local as well as live server. By requesting this page from client side different values of page performance criteria were recorded like page load time (PLT), page size (PS), number of request, number of CSS and JS files etc. while comparing all these parameters we could come to conclusion that which CMS should be used under what conditions.

Existing content management systems (CMSes) usually do not offer flexible, customizable means to create semantic, domain specific indexing and search mechanisms. Therefore, they either do not provide any semantic retrieval, search, browsing functionalities at all on the managed content or the semantic search functionality provided is limited as it depends on the manual annotation of content by users. So, in this study we describe a semantic content management flow by extracting implicit knowledge from both the structure of the CMSes and actual content within them. The task of additional semantic knowledge gathering and providing semantic operations on the content is a challenging task which includes adoption of several latest advancements in information extraction (IE), information retrieval (IR) and Semantic Web areas. In this study, we propose a new approach which provides automatic annotation of content managed in CMSes with the information retrieved from the Linked Open Data (LOD) cloud and several semantic operations on the content in terms of storage and search. We use a simple RDF path language to create custom indexes and retrive semantic knowledge from the LOD cloud suitable for specific use cases. All additional knowledge is materialized along with the actual content of document in dedicated indexes. This semantix indexing infrastructure allows semantically meaningful search facilities on top of it. We realize our approach in the scope of Apache Stanbol project, which is a subproject developed in the scope of IKS project, by focusing on document storage and retrieval. We evaluate our approach in healthcare domain with different domain ontologies (SNOMED/CT, ART, RXNORM) in addition to DBpedia as parts of LOD cloud which are used to annotate documents and content obtained from different health portals.

The adoption of high-level models for temporal, data-intensive Web sites is proposed together with a methodology for the design and development through a content management system (CMS). The process starts with a traditional ER scheme; the various steps lead to a temporal ER scheme, to a navigation scheme (called N-ER) and finally to a logical scheme (called T-ADM). The logical model allows the definition of page-schemes with temporal aspects (which could be related to the page as a whole or to individual components of it). Each model considers the temporal features that are relevant at the respective level. A content management tool associated with the methodology has been developed: from a typical content management interface it automatically generates both the relational database (with the temporal features needed) supporting the site and the actual Web pages, which can be dynamic (JSP) or static (plain HTML or XML), or a combination thereof. The tool also includes other typical features of content management all integrated with temporal features.

7 - Tackling a Content Management Project

In Knowledge Management (KM) discipline, the nature of KM itself has long been discussed and sometimes even its existence and meaning have been questioned. At the same time, research focusing on the difference between KM and Information Management (IM) was scarce. Therefore we tried through empirical investigation of differences between KM and IM to distinguish the KM from IM and to try to draw a distinct line between both approaches. To fulfil our goal we employed exploratory inductive qualitative research design as not many studies have tried to empirically distinguish KM from IM. For data gathering we used expert semi-structured interviews. The interviews and also results were structured according to 8 perspectives: conceptual, process, technological, organisational, implementation, human resources, economical, and administration. For each perspective, we examined the context of IM and KM and analysed, described and interpreted the differences.
