This paper presents the use of gamified crowdsourcing for knowledge content validation. Constructing a high-quality knowledge base is crucial for building an intelligent system. We develop a refinement process for the knowledge base of our word retrieval assistant system, where each piece of knowledge is represented as a triple. To validate triples acquired from various sources, we introduce yes/no quizzes and present them to many casual users for their inputs. Only the triples voted “yes” by a sufficient number of users are incorporated into the main knowledge base. Users are incentivized by rewards based on their contribution to the validation process. To ensure transparency of the reward-giving process, blockchain is utilized to store logs of the users’ inputs from which the rewards are calculated. Different strategies are also proposed for selecting the next quiz. The simulation results indicate that the proposed approach has the potential to validate knowledge contents. This paper is a revised version of our conference paper presented at the 12th Asian Conference on Intelligent Information and Database Systems (ACIIDS 2020).

The added material concerns issues related to the following aspects:– increased visibility of the object of monitoring of ore-preparation operations of concentrating mills, where, as a rule, ore of various quarries is processed;– detailing the functional structure of the automated system for operational monitoring of characteristics of processed ores;– an assessment of the adequacy of the operational model of the input characteristics of the processed ores and the adaptation of its parameters.

The problem of obtaining a global state or snapshot of a distributed processing system is considered. A message-efficient protocol is presented for obtaining incremental snapshots. First, worst-case lower bounds on the number of messages used by any protocol that solves the incremental snapshot problem are given, and then a protocol that is message-efficient is provided. This protocol obtains a snapshot of the system using the most recent snapshot. The message complexity of the incremental snapshot protocol matches the two lower bounds simultaneously, and hence the protocol is asymptotically message optimal. For applications in database systems, debugging distributed programs, monitoring events, or checkpointing, the protocol is asymptotically message optimal. Because of its simplicity, the protocol can be used readily, and since it uses the minimum number of additional messages, the throughput of the distributed system is not adversely affected.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>

The subject of research in the article is the processes of constructing explanations in intelligent systems based on the use of causal dependencies. The aim is to develop a hierarchical representation of causal relationships between the actions of an intelligent system to form an explanation of the process of the system's operation with a given degree of generalization or detailing. Representation of the hierarchy of cause-and-effect relationships allows you to form an explanation at a given level of detail using the input data in the form of a temporally ordered sequence of events reflecting the known actions of an intelligent system. Tasks: structuring the hierarchy of cause-and-effect relationships for known variants of the decision-making process in an intelligent information system, considering the temporal ordering of the corresponding actions; development of a model of a multi-level representation of causal dependencies for description for explanations in an intelligent system. The approaches used are: counterfactual analysis of causality, used to describe alternative dependencies for possible decision-making options; linear temporal logic to reflect the temporal aspect of causation. The following results were obtained. A generalized hierarchy of cause-and-effect relationships is highlighted for the known variants of the process of obtaining recommendations in an intelligent information system based on the temporal ordering of the corresponding decision-making actions. A model of hierarchical representation of causal dependencies has been developed to describe explanations in an intellectual system with a given degree of detail. Conclusions. The scientific novelty of the results obtained is as follows. A model of hierarchical representation of time-ordered causal relationships is proposed to describe the explanations of the operation of an intelligent system with a given degree of detail. At the top level of the hierarchy, the model defines a generalized causal relationship between the event of using the input data and the event of the result of the system's operation. This connection describes the current task that the intelligent information system solves. At the lower level, cause-and-effect relationships are set between events sequential in time, between which there are no other events. At intermediate levels of the hierarchical representation, the causal dependencies of pairs of events are determined, between which there are other events. The developed model creates conditions for constructing explanations with a given degree of detailing of the actions of the decision-making process in an intelligent system. The model also provides the ability to describe early and late anticipation of alternative sequences of the decision-making process by describing causal dependencies for events between which there are other events.

Development of an intelligent pavement management database system

The aim of the study is to develop a model of consistent knowledge about the decision-making process in intelligent systems, which would consider their logical consistency and provide an opportunity to explain the process and outcome of such systems. The object of study is the process of constructing explanations in intelligent systems. Research objectives: development of a generalized approach to the harmonization of knowledge to build explanations in intelligent information systems; development of a model for the presentation of consistent knowledge, considering their logical consistency. The following results were obtained. A generalized approach to the harmonization of knowledge to build explanations in intelligent information systems has been developed. The approach provides the possibility of forming a set of agreed explanations that reflect different aspects of the decision-making process and the result obtained by the intelligent system, which simplifies the application of these results in the subject area of the user. The model of representation of the coordinated knowledge considering their logical consistency is offered. The model makes it possible to check the consistency of knowledge directly in the formation of explanations, which creates conditions for the formation of explanations on the principle of the black box and allows to supplement functioning systems with explanations, as well as to adapt explanations when changing their functionality.

Exploring and analyzing the effectiveness of an intelligent pacifying strategy information system based on assisted decision-making in reducing the sedation rate of children in short-duration magnetic resonance scans. A total of 125 children aged 3–5 years who underwent MRI scans at a children's hospital from July to December 2021 participated in this study, during which 62 children were assigned to a control group from July to September, and 63 children were assigned to an intervention group from October to December. In the intervention group, the pacifier used the intelligent pacifying strategy information system based on assisted decision-making to assess children's temperament, and utilization of a system-generated pacification plan according to assessment results. In the control group, the pacification plan was formulated by the pacifier based on their own experience and discussion with families of the participating children. The success rate of pacification, duration of pacification, and image quality of the two groups were compare. Compared with the control group, the intervention group had a higher success rate of pacification and lower duration of pacification, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). There was no difference in image quality between the two groups (P > 0.05). The intelligent pacifying strategy information system can help reduce the use of the sedative drugs in children aged 3–5 years who underwent a short-duration MRI scan.

Distributed heterogeneous integrates asset of autonomous database systems to provide global database functions. The client/server-based distributed heterogeneous database system has a limited concurrency and scalability. In this paper, we proposed a new distributed heterogeneous database system model based on intelligent agent approach. In this model, we implement the functions of the system using agent approach. We defined several agents, such as, UIagent, Transagent, GIagent, parti-agent, coord-agent, etc. We discussed the transaction processing process and discussed the ACID properties of the transaction. This model can farthest develop the concurrency of the transaction and it is suitable for the large scale distributed heterogeneous database system.
