An Algorithm to Evaluate Power Supply Performance of Distribution Networks

It is an important requirement for the operators to control the power grid to evaluate the operation performance of the smart power distribution network reasonably and accurately. This paper from the perspective of the smart grid efficiency, effect and benefit, build up a set of evaluation index of the performance of the smart grid distribution network state system. First, through the expert method, experts from the perspective of three index system screen the center index and the non-central index, next using the improved fuzzy clustering method to correct the center index and the non-central index again, and then using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to improve the group gray correlation method to correct the rest of the center again and eliminate redundant indicators. The mixed weight obtained by analytic hierarchy process and entropy weight method is used to evaluate the final determined evaluation system. Finally, an example of a regional power grid is used to verify that the evaluation system and method proposed in this paper can easily and accurately reflect the smart power grid efficiency status.

Many evaluation problems in product scheme design belong to multi-person, multi-level and multi-objective comprehensive evaluation problems. At present, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is widely used in the evaluation of complex product design scheme. In the establishment of judgment matrix, experts compare the value of each evaluation index and give them scores, with strong subjective factors. And another commonly used method of determining the weight -- the entropy weight method is to determine the objective weight according to the size of the index variance. According to the characteristics of complex product scheme evaluation and the actual needs, this paper will establish the decision-making model with the AHP method and entropy method, realizing the comprehensive evaluation of the scheme of complex products.

In order to study the teaching quality of online Chinese courses for international students, the teaching quality evaluation indexes were constructed from two aspects: expert rating and student evaluation, by collecting the data samples of class teaching evaluation of international students from a university. In order to deeply mine the characteristic information in the data, considering the influence of subjective decision-making and objective data of evaluation indexes on teaching quality evaluation, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and entropy weight method are adopted to determine the weight coefficient of indexes, and the weight of each index is determined by combining the two methods. Through the analysis of the teaching quality of different courses in the online Chinese course for foreign students, the conclusion shows that the overall teaching quality score of H01 course is the highest, and that of H33 course is the lowest. It is expected that the results will provide some suggestions for curriculum teaching reform, strengthen teachers' attention to the evaluation of teaching quality, perfect the evaluation system of teaching quality in colleges and universities, optimize the evaluation mechanism of teaching quality in colleges and universities, and provide some analysis methods and research ideas for the evaluation of teaching quality in colleges and universities.

Evaluation of key nodes is a hot issue in social networks. Existing research primarily evaluates the importance of nodes in social networks based on centrality metrics, neglecting the node’s own attributes. After analyzing the topology attributes and the basic attributes of nodes, this article proposes a key nodes evaluation method for social networks, which is based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and improved Vise Kriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR), termed AE-VIKOR. Considering global attributes, local attributes, and positional attributes of nodes, three evaluation metrics are constructed. The subjective and objective weights are computed by AHP and entropy weight method, respectively. The comprehensive weights of metrics are determined by combination weighting method based on square sums of distance. Due to the excessive weight of specific metrics and excessive difference in data distribution, the computation of individual regret value depends too much on a single metric in VIKOR method, individual regret value is optimized by weighted sum of closeness between the scheme to be evaluated and the negative ideal scheme. Multimetric evaluation schemes are ranked to achieve the evaluation of key nodes. Experiments on two real social network datasets show that the key nodes evaluated by AE-VIKOR have stronger information spread ability and more fans than the ones of the existing methods. In addition, the validity of the three metrics and the two improvements on the VIKOR method are verified by ablation experiments.

Groundwater resources are essential for drinking water, irrigation, and the economy mainly in semiarid environments where rainfall is limited. Currently, unpredictable rainfall due to climate change and pollution on the Earth’s surface directly affects groundwater resources. In this area, most people depend on groundwater resources for irrigation and drinking purposes, and every summer, most of the area depends on groundwater in a semiarid environment. Hence, we selected two popular methods, the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and multiple influence factor (MIF) methods, which can be applied to map groundwater potential zones. Nine thematic layers, such as land use and land cover (LULC), geomorphology, soil, drainage density, slope, lineament density, elevation, groundwater level, and geology maps, were selected for this study using remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS) techniques. These layers are integrated in ArcGIS 10.5 software with the help of the AHP and MIF methods. The map of the groundwater potential zones in the study area revealed four classes, i.e., poor, moderate, good, and very good, based on the AHP and MF methods. The groundwater potential zone area is 241.50 (ha) Poor, 285.64 (ha) moderate, 408.31 (ha) good, and 92.75 (ha) very good using the AHP method. Similarly, the MIF method revealed that the groundwater potential classes were divided into four classes: 351.29 (ha) poor, 511.18 (ha), moderate, 123.95 (ha) good, and 41.78 (ha) very good. The results were compared to determine which methods are best for planning water and land resource development in specific areas that have basaltic rock and drought conditions. Both groundwater potential zone maps were validated with water yield data. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and area under the curve (AUC) model results are found to be 0.80 (good) and 0.93 (excellent) using the MIF and AHP methods, respectively; hence, the AHP method is best for delineation of groundwater potential zone maps and groundwater resource planning. The present study’s framework and the results will be valuable for improving the efficiency of irrigation, conserving rainwater and maintaining the ecosystem in India.

Within our expanded VIKOR model, which encompasses various decision criteria, we utilize the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine weights through fuzzy analysis. Taking the remaining resource areas of the Baorixile open-pit coal mine in the Chenbalhu Banner mining area as the premise, the optimization problem of the remaining mining area division plan of the Baorixile open-pit coal mine was studied. Based on fully considering the current production situation, an improved analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and entropy weight method (EWM) combined with the method of approaching the ideal solution (TOPSIS) were constructed to conduct theoretical research using a multi-scheme and multi-index scheme optimization model, and combined it with A comparative analysis of two traditional evaluation models, the AHP method and the uncombined EWM method was conducted, and the advantages of the improved AHP-EWM method over the traditional method were elaborated. Then, the three remaining mining area division schemes proposed for the Baorixile open-pit coal mine were analyzed. In the case of twelve evaluation indicators, the closeness of the three decision-making schemes to the positive and negative ideal points of the TOPSIS method was calculated. Based on the principle that the decision-making scheme is closest to the positive ideal solution, the decision-making scheme was selected in terms of economic benefits, long-term development, and subsequent mining area continuation—the optimal decision-making solution from all angles. Option three also verified the effectiveness and practicability of the improved AHP-EWM method. It provided reference value for other open-pit coal mines to propose various mining area division decision-making plans with certain theoretical and practical significance.

With the rapid development of science and technology, new technology is starting to be used in various fields including education. Education has a very important progress in a nation, because it can optimize individual potential. The educational process in higher education has a big influence on a student's future. However, there are many students who experience difficulties in choosing a college major after graduating from vocational high school (SMK) or senior high school (SMA), because of the complexity in identifying the suitability between interests and study programs. Decision making is a problem that everyone faces, especially in choosing an appropriate college major. There are many factors to consider, and with many options available, the decision-making process can be difficult. To overcome this problem, this research aims to create a decision support system (DSS) using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) and TOPSIS (Technique For Order By Similarity To Ideal Solution) methods. The AHP method is used to solve complex problems by structuring a hierarchy of criteria and developing weights or priorities. However, when the AHP method is used with many criteria and alternatives, other methods are needed for more effective results. Therefore, a combined method of AHP and TOPSIS was chosen, where AHP focuses on pairwise comparison matrices and consistency analysis, while TOPSIS can measure relative performance and alternative decision making simply and efficiently. The results of research on decision support systems for selecting majors using the AHP and TOPSIS methods show that the application of the combined AHP-TOPSIS method can be used to determine the best alternative in selecting majors by comparing alternatives based on predetermined criteria. In addition, system testing results show that the system functions as expected and meets user needs. With a decision support system for selecting college majors implemented on the website, it can simplify the decision-making process for students and BK teachers in choosing college majors. The results of the calculation of the percentage of system feasibility in blackbox testing show a value of 95.71%, which indicates that this major selection decision support system website can be used.

Large-scale distributed generation (DG) accessing to the distribution network (DN), will affect the distribution network equipment utilization rate (DNEUR). However, at present, there is a lack of comprehensive research on the effect of DG connected to grid on the comprehensive evaluation of DNEUR. Hence, this paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation system of DNEUR, according to the characteristics of DG power generation and the influence of DG connected to grid on the DNEUR. Comprehensive evaluation system includes six aspects: power supply reliability, safety criterion, grid structure, load characteristics, grid construction margin and equipment load capacity. In order to overcome the limitations of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and entropy weight method, a new AHP-entropy weight combination weighting method based on Pignistic probability distance optimal evidence synthesis is proposed. And on this basis, a comprehensive evaluation model is constructed. Finally, the operation data of five typical regions are used to verify the model. The results show that the method proposed in this paper can effectively reduce the influence of deviation from the expert weight. In the process of AHP-entropy weighting, the weight of the subjective and objective weights is adjusted scientifically according to the optimization results.

This research article explores the use of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as a decision support tool for evaluating and rehabilitating the water distribution network in Mila City, Algeria. The study identifies key challenges, such as water loss, infrastructure deterioration, and inadequate service delivery. By employing AHP, the researchers systematically prioritize various performance indicators, including water quality, pressure, and operational efficiency. Data is gathered from field assessments and stakeholder interviews to develop a hierarchical model that reflects the network's critical factors. The findings demonstrate that AHP facilitates informed decision-making by allowing stakeholders to weigh different rehabilitation options effectively. The results indicate that targeted investments can significantly improve the system’s performance. The AHP method has revealed that the performance of the "network condition" criterion is around 36%, and the performance of the "customer complaint handling" criterion is 0.49, indicating that the network is in poor condition. On the other hand, the performance of the "physical-chemical quality of the distributed water" is approximately 80%. Overall, the performance of the distribution network is average at about 50%, suggesting the need for renovation to improve its efficiency and functionality. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating AHP into water management practices, suggesting that it can enhance the sustainability and reliability of water services in Mila City. The conclusions provide actionable recommendations for local authorities and utility managers to guide future rehabilitation efforts, contributing to improved water resource management in Algeria.

In this study, it is aimed to examine the studies based on the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method in the field of education and to present the researcher's perspective on how to use the AHP method in the field of education. Within the scope of this aim, firstly the AHP method was introduced with a sample application and then the results were interpreted. The other aim of the research; studies which based on the AHP methods in the field of education in the last five years have been examined through content analysis. AHP; is one of the “Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDC)” methods that can determine the priority or weights among the criteria and alternatives based on comparative judgments. The content analysis conducted within the scope of the research was carried out in the context of eight criteria determined by the researchers. According to the results of the analysis; the AHP method has shown an increasing tendency compared to the years, and usually is used for determining and prioritizing teaching priorities. Especially in Asia Pacific countries, the AHP method is used much more intensive. Another result is that the AHP method is used to make group decisions rather than individual decisions. It has been seen that the research has been done especially with undergraduate students. In addition to these, there are lots of studies with academicians and experts.

The central composite design (CCD) method is considered to evaluate the effect of three process parameters; namely pulse on time (Ton), peak current (Ip) and flushing pressure (Fp) on the responses like material removal rate (MRR), tool wear rate (TWR), Radial over cut (ROC) and surface roughness (Ra). The Entropy weight measurement method evaluates the individual weights of each response and, using VIKOR method, the multi-objective responses are optimized to get a single numerical index known as VIKOR Index. Then the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) technique is used to determine the significance of the process parameters on the VIKOR Index. Finally, the result of the VIKOR Indexed is validated by conformation test using the liner mathematical model equation develop by responses surface methodology to identify the effectiveness of the proposed method. At present, the operation and management of power grid enterprises is facing a complicated situation. Facing the new market-oriented reform situation and development trend, power grid companies must strengthen the awareness of input and output efficiency, fully integrate the key factors that determine investment and cost allocation and the evaluation results of enterprise production and operation, and do a good job in production and operation and grid development. This paper takes the county companies in the S area as the empirical analysis object, proposes a power grid management development evaluation index system, and combines the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) and the entropy weight method(EWM) to determine the weight, uses the TOPSIS theory to comprehensively evaluate the actual situation of the county companies, and through comparative analysis, The rationality of the indicator system and evaluation method is verified, and it can provide support and reference for further improving the level of fine investment management.
