Abstract

As for the Larger Grotto at Taq-i Bustan near Kermanshah in North-Western Iran, it is well known that more that thirty years ago there had continued between E. Herzfeld and K. Erdmann a hot controversy as regards the identification of the Sasanian king represented on the rock-cut reliefs thereof.(1)
