Analysis of robust stability for uncertain time-varying delay discrete singular systems

The stochastic stability and robust stochastic stabilization for time-delay discrete Markovian jump singular systems with parameter uncertainties are discussed. Based on stochastic Lyapunov functional, a delay-dependent linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) condition for the time-delay discrete Markovian jump singular systems to be regular, causal and stochastically stable is given. With this condition, the problem of robust stochastic stabilization is solved. A numerical example to illustrate the effectiveness of the method is given in the paper.

The problem of robust strictly passive analysis for a class of uncertain discrete singular time-delay systems is investigated in this paper. The discrete singular systems under consideration involve constant time-delay and norm-bounded uncertainties. Based on an integral inequality, a new sufficient condition is firstly obtained, which guarantees that the discrete singular time-delay systems are admissible and strictly passive. Meanwhile, the sufficient condition for robust strictly passive is also obtained in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI). A numerical example is also given to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method.

The problem of robust stabilisation for uncertain discrete singular systems with time-varying delay is discussed in this article. First, a new delay-distribution-dependent Lyapunov function is established. Then, sufficient conditions are proposed for guaranteeing that the uncertain discrete singular system with time-varying delay has the properties of regularity, causality and stability. Finally, a suitable robust state feedback controller is designed by linear matrix inequality. Numerical examples illustrate that the results derived from the proposed method are less conservative than the existing ones.

This paper deals with the problem of robust stability of uncertain singular continuous systems with time-varying delays. The parametric uncertainties are assumed to be norm bounded. Delay dependent conditions are given to ensure that the uncertain singular system is regular, impulse free, and stable for all admissible uncertainties. The results are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, and to compare with previous works.

This paper is concerned with the problem of robust stability of uncertain linear systems. The considered system has an interval time-varying delay and norm-bounded uncertainty. Based on a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, which considers the fraction of both the lower and upper bounds of the interval time-varying delay, a delay-dependent criteria for robust stability is established in terms of strict linear matrix inequality (LMI). The use of avionics networks for flight control system has reduced aircraft weight, system installation, integration and maintenance costs as well as introduced time delays and structured uncertainties. This paper studies the robust stability and stabilisation problem of uncertain networked flight control system with random time delays. Some new sufficient criteria with simple mathematical forms for robust stability and stabilisation of networked flight control system are derived by a free weighting matrix approach. A memoryless state feedback robust controller and the maximum bound of time delay are obtained based on the solution of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which are established by the Lyapunov-Krasovskii stability theory. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of design procedure.

In this paper, we consider the problems of robust stability and stabilization of Lurpsilae control systems with time-varying delay. Firstly, by making use of an integral inequality, some delay-dependent robust stability conditions of the system are presented. Then, a sufficient stabilization criterion is established in the terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI), based on the above stability condition and matrix decomposition technique. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.

This article addresses the robust stability for a class of nonlinear uncertain discrete-time systems with convex polytopic of uncertainties. The system to be considered is subject to both interval time-varying delays and convex polytopic-type uncertainties. Based on the augmented parameter-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, new delay-dependent conditions for the robust stability are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The dissipative analysis and control synthesis for uncertain singular systems with interval time-varying state and input delays are investigated in this paper. The parametric uncertainty in this paper is assumed to be norm bounded. A sufficient condition, in the form of linear matrix inequality (LMI) with nonlinear constraints, on the existence of robust dissipative controller is established based on the Lyapunov stability theory. In order to solve the nonlinear problem, Cone Complementarity Linearization (CCL) is offered.

This paper investigates the problem of the robust delay-dependent stability for uncertain stochastic systems with interval time-varying delays. By establishing a new Lyapunov function and using the convex function theory, the delay-dependent sufficient criteria is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which takes into account the range of the upper and lower bound of interval time-varying delays. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The robust stability and stabilization, and H-infinity control problems for discrete-time Markovian jump singular systems with parameter uncertainties are discussed. Based on the restricted system equivalent (r.s.e.) transformation and by introducing new state vectors, the singular system is transformed into a discrete-time Markovian jump standard linear system, and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions for the discrete-time Markovian jump singular systems to be regular, causal, stochastically stable, and stochastically stable with γ-disturbance attenuation are obtained, respectively. With these conditions, the robust state feedback stochastic stabilization problem and H-infinity control problem are solved, and the LMI conditions are obtained. A numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the method given in the paper.

In this paper, we consider robust stability and stabilization of uncertain Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy time-delay systems where uncertainties come into the state and input matrices. Some stability conditions and robust stability conditions for fuzzy time-delay systems have already been obtained in the literature. However, those conditions are rather conservative and do not guarantee the stability of a wide class of fuzzy systems. This is true in case of designing stabilizing controllers for fuzzy time-delay systems and it thus leads to a conservative fuzzy controller design as well. We first consider rather relaxed robust stability conditions of uncertain fuzzy systems. To this end, we introduce an auxiliary system to the original fuzzy time-delay system to obtain generalized delay-dependent stability conditions. Such an auxiliary system has some arbitrary matrices that generalize not only the system representation but also delay-dependent stability conditions. Conditions we obtain here are delay-dependent conditions that depend on the upper bound of time-delay, and are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Then, we compare our delay-dependent stability conditions with other conditions in the literature, and show that our conditions guarantee the stability of a wider class of systems than others. Next, we consider the robust stabilization problem with memoryless and delayed state feedback controllers. Based on our generalized robust stability conditions, we obtain delay-dependent sufficient conditions for the closed-loop system to be robustly stable, and give a design method of robustly stabilizing controllers. Finally, we give three examples that illustrate our results.

Robust linear controller design of uncertain discrete systems with time-varying delay

This paper deals with the problems of robust stability and stabilization for uncertain continuous descriptor systems. We propose a new necessary and sufficient condition in terms of a strict linear matrix inequality (LMI) for a nominal continuous descriptor system to be admissible (stable, regular, and impulse‐free). Based on this, the state‐feedback admissibility problem is solved and the solution is extended to the case of uncertain descriptor systems. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the results.

This paper addressed the delay-dependent design problem for BAM neural networks with time-varying delays. By employing the integral inequality and constructing Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, the delay-dependent linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions are obtained to estimate the neuron states through available output measurements such that the dynamics of the estimation error is globally asymptotically stable. These criteria can be easily verified by utilizing the recently developed algorithms solving LMIs. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
