ANALYZING QUALITATIVE DATA

Qualitative research is a simple, inexpensive and effective tool in medical research. The data analysis in qualitative researches, though based on certain ground rules, do not follow a rigid process like the data analysis of quantitative researches. It is ongoing through and through method. One interesting feature of data collection and analysis in qualitative research is “constant comparison”. This is a highly unique method in this type of research as compared to the quantitative research. Qualitative researches usually involve inductive reasoning, but there is deductive reasoning also. The first step of analyzing qualitative data is to transcribe all data into English from vernacular language. This transcript is then subjected to selection of “codes” which are nothing but descriptive names applied to certain thoughts coming up repeatedly in a transcript. Several codes together make a broader “category”. Themes are emerged from categories which are broad categories of information. The process of transcript analysis is called “content analysis” and this is at the end converted into “thematic analysis” which gives the meaning of the whole research and the answers to the original research question(s). There is ‘consolidated criteria’ for reporting qualitative research (COREQ) which is a 32 item check list for interviews and focus group discussions.

The rise of non-cash transactions today has made people tend to switch from manual transactions that use cash to electronic transactions. LinkAja Syariah service is an application-based electronic money service designed to facilitate user transactions. LinkAja Syariah Services prioritizes three main categories of sharia service products, namely the ZISWAF, mosque-based economic empowerment and digitization of Islamic boarding schools, micro small and Medium Enterprises. Thus, this study seeks to reveal the contribution of LinkAja Sharia Services in the city of Cirebon, where the majority of the population is Muslim and there are many religious institutions. This study aims to determine the practice of using LinkAja Syariah Services in Cirebon City from an Islamic law perspective. The method used in this research is qualitative by inductive means, that is, from data to a higher level of abstraction, including synthesis and theory development (if necessary and the data supporting). This means that data analysis in qualitative research is more open-ended and must be adjusted to data in the field, such as the results of interviews, observations, and documentation. In addition, the data analysis technique used in this study was qualitative analysis as stated by Miles and Hubberman, namely data collection, data education, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are: LinkAja Sharia services that prioritize three main products, namely the ZISWAF ecosystem, mosque-based economic empowerment, and digitization of Islamic boarding schools and UKM. In Cirebon City LinkAja Syariah services can be used for zakat, infaq and shodaqoh payments at LAZISMU Cirebon Regency, donations at At-Taqwa Mosque, and shopping at traditional markets such as Gunung Sari Market, PGC Morning Market, and Kanoman Market

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas Kepatuhan Wajib Pajak, Faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhinya, dan Upaya Pemerintah untuk Memotivasi Wajib Pajak sehubungan dengan Peraturan No. 44 Tahun 2017. Penelitian ini digunakan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang esensi Kepatuhan Wajib Pajak dan Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Tingkat Kepatuhan Wajib Pajak untuk meningkatkan pendapatan pemerintah provinsi dari PKB BBNKB. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung di lapangan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan kegiatan secara interaktif. Analisis data dalam penelitian kualitatif dilakukan pada saat pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepatuhan pajak sangat penting dalam rangka meningkatkan pendapatan daerah. Pemerintah perlu meningkatkan layanan, membuat transparansi, dan meningkatkan fasilitas dan infrastruktur dalam membayar pajak.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Complete Systematic Land Registration Program (PTSL) at the Ex-Transmigration Settlement Unit at Batu Balai Village in Seluma Regency. This research is a qualitative research with a narrative study approach. In this study, the informants by defining or pointing directly purposive sampling were 5 (five) people. Data analysis in qualitative research consists of four interacting components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and verification. Data validity through triangulation data collection techniques, namely triangulation of sources, triangulation of techniques and triangulation of time. The results showed that the preparatory stage for the socialization had been carried out well and juridical data collection as well as the issuance of SK Hak / legalization of physical data and juridical data has not been carried out properly and at the post-implementation stage the issuance of certificates has not been carried out properly, and reporting has been carried out properly

This study aims to draw a link between various versions or variants in the folklore of Langsa City to obtain local wisdom content that is intended to be utilized to strengthen the identity of the Langsa City community as a plural society. The method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research types and field studies. This research consists of three stages, namely documenting or collecting data, classifying or classifying and analyzing. The main data was obtained directly by researchers through interviews with informants and observations with natural settings. In collecting research data, several kinds of methods are used, namely observation, interviews, literature study and documentation. Data analysis in qualitative research is carried out during data collection and after completing data collection within a certain period.The results of the folklore analysis With the majority of its classification as oral folklore. The folklore of Langsa city origin can be analyzed from the approach of language, background of toponim and development of the form of folklor. The implementation of local wisdom in the cultural and social system is found in local wisdom meulaot, peulara uteun and duek pakat.

The article, based on an analysis of qualitative research data undertaken by the author in the context of memory studies in 2020 (in-depth interviews with 35 residents of the Republic of Mordovia from among the descendants of victims of mass repression) and 2023 (in-depth interviews with 30 students of the National Research State University), reveals the social role of the institution of family and women in the preservation of traditional cultural values in the region during the period of Soviet social transformations. The results of the study allow us to characterize the family as the predominant factor in preserving traditional family and religious values during the Soviet period, and the role of women in this process as the most significant. The author highlights a number of family functions in the context of the reproduction of traditional values in an unfriendly Soviet institutional environment, including the performance of “domestic” religious rituals, the initiation of children into religion through baptism, attendance of church services, reading liturgical books, and prayer instruction; reproduction of the structure of religious communities as parishioners or informal religious leaders who have been blessed to perform rituals and sacraments; personal examples of behavior and lifestyle that demonstrate loyalty to traditional values and willingness to suffer for them; preservation in family memory of such actions and significant information about the family’s origin and the past, significant from the point of view of tradition, which was transformed into a social “frame” of family memory. The article problematizes the principle of reflexivity in the methodology of research and management of social memory about the Soviet period in the context of possible mnemonic conflicts and the construction of cultural traumas.

This paper focuses on the interrelationship between the mechanical and conceptual aspects of qualitative data analysis. The first part of the paper outlines the support role a computer program, HyperQual2, plays in the mechanical analysis process. The second part of the paper argues that the most important aspect of analysis in any research endeavour is conceptual in nature. It provides a snapshot of the in-depth analysis of one interview protocol. The metaphor snapshot is apt because the intention is to capture the essence of the analysis process. Such a focused approach is one way of reporting and making transparent the qualitative research process. It can be used as a framework so that readers of the research are better able to judge the fidelity of the results of the final analysis.

In the fast-paced world of the 21st century economic landscapes evolve rapidly and financial literacy has become vital for leaders across all sectors. It equips them to navigate complex financial environments, make informed decisions and adapt to economic shifts. In Malaysia, the government has formed the Community Leaders under the rural development program for village development. As a result of that, the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development has allocated resources to assist community programs. Therefore, these community leaders should be equipped with financial literacy to ensure that the financial resources are managed efficiently and effectively. Financial literacy is one of the most important requisites to financial well-being. It is also described as the measurement of how well an individual can understand and use information related to finance to make decisions. The objective of this study is to examine the needs of the Financial Literacy Model for community leaders. Further, it will also determine the components to be included in developing the Financial Literacy Model to enhance the public financial management system among community leaders. A mixed method research design, which combined qualitative (focused group interviews on selected community leaders) and quantitative (questionnaires) data will be employed in this research. Data analysis in qualitative research focuses on the process of systematically searching and arranging the interview transcripts. Interview sessions are crucial for gaining a thorough understanding of financial knowledge and skills among leaders. The research is anticipated to assist policymakers, community leaders and the government in improving sustainable community development.

This article addresses three issues: 1) it explains the characteristics and the process of the analysis of empirical, qualitative data; 2) it introduces a method for qualitative analysis, as relevant to business research, i.e., the matrix method; 3) it presents a coherent approach about structuring the research report.
