Automorphism Group of Generalized Cayley Graph of Upper Triangular Matrices

Let [Formula: see text] be a finite field with [Formula: see text] elements, [Formula: see text] a positive integer, [Formula: see text] the semigroup of all [Formula: see text] upper triangular matrices over [Formula: see text] under matrix multiplication, [Formula: see text] the group of all invertible matrices in [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] the quotient group of [Formula: see text] by its center. The one-divisor graph of [Formula: see text], written as [Formula: see text], is defined to be a directed graph with [Formula: see text] as vertex set, and there is a directed edge from [Formula: see text] to [Formula: see text] if and only if [Formula: see text], i.e. [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are, respectively, a left divisor and a right divisor of a rank one matrix in [Formula: see text]. The definition of [Formula: see text] is motivated by the definition of zero-divisor graph [Formula: see text] of [Formula: see text], which has vertex set of all nonzero zero-divisors in [Formula: see text] and there is a directed edge from a vertex [Formula: see text] to a vertex [Formula: see text] if and only if [Formula: see text], i.e. [Formula: see text]. The automorphism group of zero-divisor graph [Formula: see text] of [Formula: see text] was recently determined by Wang [A note on automorphisms of the zero-divisor graph of upper triangular matrices, Lin. Alg. Appl. 465 (2015) 214–220.]. In this paper, we characterize the automorphism group of one-divisor graph [Formula: see text] of [Formula: see text], proving that [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] is the automorphism group of field [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] is a direct product of some symmetric groups. Besides, an application of automorphisms of [Formula: see text] is given in this paper.

The group of automorphisms of a zero-divisor graph based on rank one upper triangular matrices

Then there exist an invertible matrix T ∈ Tn , a function satisfying ϕ (C) =0 for every strictly upper triangular matrix C ∈ Tn , and an automorphism f of the field , such that for all [aij ]∈ Tn , or for all [aij ] ∈ Tn , where .

Let ${\mathbb F}$ be a field, let $N_{\infty}({\mathbb F})$ be the ring of all ${\mathbb N}\times {\mathbb N}$ strictly upper triangular matrices over ${\mathbb F,}$ and let $T_{\infty}({\mathbb F})$ be the ring of all ${\mathbb N}\times {\mathbb N}$ upper triangular matrices over ${\mathbb F}$. In this paper, we completely characterize additive maps $f:N_{\infty}({\mathbb F})\to T_{\infty}({\mathbb F})$ satisfying $[f(x),x]=0$ for all $x\in N_{\infty}({\mathbb F})$. As applications, we obtain the finite fields versions of the two main results recently obtained by Slowik and Ahmed [Electron. J. Linear Algebra 37:247-255, 2021].

A graph in this paper is nontrivial, finite, connected, simple, and undirected. Graph consists of a vertex set and edge set. The vertex local antimagic chromatic number is the minimum number of colours taken over all colourings induced by vertex local antimagic edge labelling of . In this paper, we discuss about the vertex local antimagic chromatic number on disjoint union of some family graphs, namely path, cycle, star, and friendship, and also determine the lower bound of vertex local antimagic chromatic number of disjoint union graphs. The chromatic numbers of disjoint union graph in this paper attend the lower bound.

For a finite commutative ring R and a positive integer k ≥ 2, we construct an iteration digraph G(R, k) whose vertex set is R and for which there is a directed edge from a ∈ R to b ∈ R if b = ak. In this paper, we investigate the iteration digraphs G(𝔽prCn, k) of 𝔽prCn, the group ring of a cyclic group Cnover a finite field 𝔽pr. We study the cycle structure of G(𝔽prCn, k), and explore the symmetric digraphs. Finally, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions on 𝔽prCnand k such that G(𝔽prCn, k) is semiregular.

Graded polynomial identities for the upper triangular matrix algebra over a finite field

The Harary Index is an important topological parameter for examining the structure of a graph. This work presents a quantitative analysis of the structural features of zero-divisor graph using the Harary Index. In this research article, we compute the Harary Index for the zero-divisor graph of the ring of upper triangular matrices over a finite commutative ring and non commutative ring. In this study, we have computed the Harary index for directed and undirected zero-divisor graph obtained from upper triangular matrix [Formula: see text].

In this paper,we introduce the generalized Cayley graph denoted by which is a graph with a vertex set consisting of all column matrices in which all components are in and two vertices and are adjacent if and only if , where is a column matrix that each entry is the inverse of the similar entry of and is matrix with all entries in , is the transpose of and and m . We aim to provide some basic properties of the new graph and determine the structure of when is a complete graph for every , and n, m .

This paper proposes a new algorithm for detecting and generating simple circuits within a directed graph. Before generating all simple circuits in a directed graph, the algorithm first detects whether there is a simple circuit in directed graph, and the detection can divide the directed graph into trivial graphs or strongly connected components. In the process of detecting the existence of simple circuit, the algorithm repeatedly reduces the number of vertices in vertex set along with edge pruning. Based on depth-first traversal, we can get all simple circuits of the directed graph. Especially, instead of proceeding depth-first traversals based on all vertices, the algorithm starts with a random vertex in a strongly connected component to reduce the number of depth-first traversals, and obtain all simple circuits of this strongly connected component. The difficulty of the algorithm is to detect and delete the repeated circuits in the process of generating all simple circuits, which can reduce both the storage space and time complexity. As a result, the output of the algorithm does not contain any repeated circuits. The algorithm simplifies the edge set of directed graphs and greatly reduces the number of depth-first traversals, thereby reducing the computational complexity and improving the computational efficiency.

A matrix A over a field F is said to be an AJT matrix if there exists a vector x over F such that both x and Ax have no zero component. The Alon–Jaeger–Tarsi (AJT) conjecture states that if F is a finite field, with |F|≥4, and A is an element of GL n (F) , then A is an AJT matrix. In this paper we prove that every nonzero matrix over a field F, with |F|≥3 , is similar to an AJT matrix. Let AJTn (q) denote the set of n×n, invertible, AJT matrices over a field with q elements. It is shown that the following are equivalent for q≥3 : (i) AJTn (q)=GL n (q) ; (ii) every 2n×n matrix of the form (A∣B)t has a nowhere-zero vector in its image, where A,B are n×n, invertible, upper and lower triangular matrices, respectively; and (iii) AJTn (q) forms a semigroup.

Denote by the semigroup of all nxn upper triangular matrices over the field F (q) of order q. It is shown that the variety generated by is hereditarily finitely based if and only if na parts per thousand currency sign2. Moreover, the semigroup is not hereditarily finitely based for any na parts per thousand yen3 and any qa parts per thousand yen2.

A word is a finite sequence of symbols. Parikh matrix of a word is an upper triangular matrix with ones in the main diagonal and nonnegative integers above the main diagonal which are counts of certain scattered subwords in the word. On the other hand, a picture array, which is a rectangular arrangement of symbols, is an extension of the notion of a word to two dimensions. Parikh matrices associated with a picture array have been introduced, and their properties have been studied. Here, we obtain certain algebraic properties of Parikh matrices of binary picture arrays based on the notions of power, fairness, and a restricted shuffle operator extending the corresponding notions studied in the case of words. We also obtain properties of Parikh matrices of arrays formed by certain geometric operations.

Since the undecidability of the mortality problem for 3 × 3 matrices over integers was proved using the Post Correspondence Problem, various studies on decision problems of matrix semigroups have emerged. The freeness problem in particular has received much attention but decidability remains open even for 2 × 2 upper triangular matrices over nonnegative integers. Parikh matrices are upper triangular matrices introduced as a generalization of Parikh vectors and have become useful tools in studying of subword occurrences. In this work, we focus on semigroups of Parikh matrices and study the freeness problem in this context.

The multiplicative complexity of an S-box over a finite field is the minimum number of multiplications needed to implement the S-box as an arithmetic circuit. In this paper we fully characterize bijective S-boxes with multiplicative complexity 1 up to affine equivalence over any finite field. We show that under affine equivalence in odd characteristic there are two classes of bijective functions and in even characteristic there are three classes of bijective functions with multiplicative complexity 1. Moreover, in (Jeon et al., Cryptogr. We generalize this concept to arbitrary finite fields.
