Behavioral psychological problems and interventions in child with asthma

Objective To explore the psychological behavioral features and problems of child with bronchial asthma (asthma) and family management style.Methods Cluster random sampling was conducted to recruit 150 caregivers whose child suffered from asthma in 4 Third-Grade Class-A hospitals in Tangshan from 2012 to 2013.One hundred and fifty caregivers were investigated by chiild behavior checklist and family management measure.Results The rate of abnormal behavior was higher in asthmatic children (23.9％) than that in healthy children (12.97％),(x2=12.34,P＜ 0.05).Asthmatic children's behavioral problems mainly included bad communication,social withdrawn,aggressive behaviour in boys and depression,social withdrawn and schizoid behavior in girls.Asthmatic children' s behavioural problems were negatively associated with child daily life,parental management ability and parental mutuality (r =-0.21,-0.25,-0.29,P ＜0.05),and positively correlated with parental worries about the disease,family life difficulty and state of parental energy exhaust (r =0.26,0.24,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The rate of abnormal behavior was high in child with asthma.The model of family management is mainly bearing with asthmatic child.Medical staff should provide family support to promote rehabilitation of psychological behavior of asthmatic child. Objective To evaluate the impact of psychological and behavioral intervention on self-concept of school- age children with asthma. Methods The intervention group and the control group in-cluded 50 patients each. Those in the intervention group attended a 6-month psychological behavioral inter-vention in addition to routine follow-up visit and inhalation therapy, while the control group received the routine follow-up visit and inhalation therapy only. Piers-Harris children's self-concept scale (PHCSS) was administered to evaluate the self- concept of the sample repeatedly at 3 months and 6 months. Data about the incidence times of asthma, time of absent from school and hospitalization time were collected within 6-month intervention. Results After 6- month intervention ,the incidence times of asthma and time of ab-sent from school in the intervention group were less San those of the control group. No statistical difference was seen in hospitalization time between the two groups. The total self- concept level and the scores of most subscales, including intelligence and academic competence, physical appearance and attribute, anxiety and popularity in the intervention group were higher than those of the control group. Conclusions Psycholog-ical behavioral intervention was effective in reducing psychosomatic effect of asthma, improving self-con-cept of school- age children with asthma, and promoting the physical and mental health of them. The outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia is a public health emergency, which not only threatens people's physical health, but also brings psychological impact to the public, causing corresponding psychological and behavioral problems. On January 26, 2020, the government issued the guiding principles of emergent psychological crisis intervention in the novel coronavirus pneumonia. This paper summarizes the general contents of the guiding principles from five aspects: who provides (psychological crisis intervention service), provides to whom, what to provide, how to provide and precautions, and puts forward some thoughts to help the mental health workers who provide relevant services better understanding and implementing the guiding principles. Review objective The objective of this review is to synthesize the best available evidence on the effectiveness of psychological and psychosocial interventions on quality of life (QoL) of patients with schizophrenia and related disorders. Review questions In patients with schizophrenia and related disorders: what is the effect of a psychological intervention as compared to usual care on QoL? what is the effect of a psychological intervention as compared to another psychological or psychosocial intervention on QoL? what is the effect of a psychosocial intervention as compared to usual care on QoL? what is the effect of a psychosocial intervention as compared to another psychosocial intervention or psychological intervention on QoL? Inclusion criteria Types of participants This review will consider studies that include patients with schizophrenia or related disorders (schizotypal and delusional disorders) in all stages of their illness and in all treatment settings. We will include studies where the majority of participants are adults (18 years or over) and were the majority of participants have a diagnosis of schizophrenia or a related disorder (schizotypal disorder, persistent delusional disorder, F20-F22; schizoaffective disorder, F-25) based on International Statistical Classification of Diseased and related health Problems 10 th Revision (ICD-10). Types of interventions This review will consider studies that evaluate psychological or psychosocial interventions. Included interventions will be family interventions, psychoeducation / patient education, cognitive-behavioral therapy, cognitive remediation, social skills training, and supported employment / vocational rehabilitation. These interventions are most often recommended in practice guidelines for the treatment of patients with schizophrenia 16,17,18,19 . The format of the intervention may be individual or group-based. The providers of interventions may include nurses, physicians, psychologists, social workers or other allied health providers. The control comparison will be any other psychological or psychosocial intervention or standard care (also called “treatment as usual”) defined as the care a person would normally receive if they would not been included in the research. Standard care includes any appropriate mental health care as deemed necessary by the clinician without program of the types described above. Types of outcomes This review will consider studies that include QoL as an outcome measure. Studies will be reviewed for evidence of standardized valid and reliable tools measuring subjective QoL, such as the Quality of Life Scale, the World Health Organization Quality of Life, the Lehmans Quality of Life Interview or the Manchester Short Assessment of Quality of Life.

Objective To explore the effect of pulmonary rehabilitation training combined with psychological intervention on the quality of life of COPD patients in stable stage. Methods 58 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in stable stage who received pulmonary rehabilitation training in our hospital from January 2017 to January 2018 were randomly divided into two groups, 29 cases in each group. The control group was given routine pulmonary rehabilitation training, and the research group was given psychological intervention on the basis of the control group. SDS score and SAS score, 6 min walking distance, pulmonary function, and SF-36 score were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, SDS and SAS scores in the research group [(23.2±2.1) points, (25.6±1.9) points] were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, 6 min walking distance, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, and the scores of physical function, social function, cognitive function, role function of SF-36 scale in the research group [(353.8±21.6)m, (71.53±1.23)%, (67.35±1.25)%, (84.3±5.6) points, (88.2±3.8) points, (83.6±5.3) points, (83.9±4.6) points] were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Pulmonary rehabilitation training combined with psychological intervention can more effectively improve the rehabilitation effect of COPD patients in stable stage, improve their psychological status, and then improve their quality of life. Objective To investigate the causes and countermeasures of hematologic malignancies combined with mood disorder.Methods The date of one patients with acute non-lymphocytic leukemia complicated with anxiety and depression were analyzed,and the related literatures were reviewed.Results In cancer patients,the incidence rate of depression was significantly higher than that in healthy control group,there was significant difference.Conclusions Early and effective antidepressant,anxiety treatment,including psychological counseling are conducive to the recovery of patients with mood disorders before hematologic malignancies are eased.In the comprehensive treatment,psychological treatment should be given actively to enhance their confidence and courage to overcome the disease.The quality of life after transplantation,the psychological problems of this population can not be ignored. Objective To explore effect of psychological intervention on negative automatic thoughts,self acceptance and social support for patients with type 2 diabetic cataract.Methods Patients with diagnosed type 2 diabetic cataract(n=105)were divided into the research group(56 cases)and the control group(49 cases).The centrol group received routine treatment.The research group was given psychological and behavioral intervention based on routine treatment.They underwent evaluation by negative automatic thoughts questionnaire (ATQ),self-acceptance questionnaire(SAQ)and social support rate scale(SSRS)before intervention and in the 2th and 6th weeks after intervention.The results were subsequendy analyzed. Results ATQ score of the research group in the 2th and 6th weeks were lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).ATQ score,total SAQ score,score of SA and SD factors,total SSRS score and score of objective support,subjective support and utilization of support were all lower than those before intervention from the 2th week in the research group.While these happened in the control group only in the 6th week(P＜0.05).Total SAQ score and score of SA and SD factor were lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05).Total SSRS score and score of objective support,subjective support and utilization of support were lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05).Relative analysis showed total score of social support and its factors was negatively related with ATQ score,but was positively related with SAQ score and score of SA and SD factors(P＜0.05).Conclusions Psychological and behavioral intervention could reduce the negative automatic thoughts,allevinte self acceptance and increase social support degree for patients with type 2 diabetic cataract. Introduction: Suicide is a traumatic event for close relatives due to various factors, with bullying acting as a mediator. Bullying has been identified as a primary predictor of suicidal ideation and a contributing factor to suicide. Objective: This study aims to describe the pathway from bullying victimization to suicidal attempts in adolescents. Results: Adolescence is a period of peak physical health and a time of behavioral and emotional problems due to developmental factors, which can increase susceptibility to suicidal behavior. Adolescents who experience bullying report suicidal ideation more frequently, often on a weekly basis, due to psychiatric morbidity (OR = 7.78). The relationship between bullying and suicide is mediated by poor physical and mental health, especially among victims. Bullying victimization triggers psychological or behavioral problems that can lead to suicidal behavior, often mediated by mental health or psychological problems, such as internalization or substance use which serve as maladaptive coping strategies, with suicide ultimately becoming a final coping strategy. Conclusion: Psychological or mental health problems mediate the risk of suicidal attempts among bullied adolescents, although other pathways may also be involved.

With increasing survival estimates for cystic fibrosis (CF) long-term management has become an important focus. Psychological interventions are largely concerned with adherence to treatment, emotional and social adjustments and quality of life. We are unaware of any relevant systematic reviews. Assess whether psychological interventions for CF provide significant psychosocial and physical benefits in addition to standard care. Trials were identified from two Cochrane trial registers (CF and Genetic Disorders Group; Depression, Anxiety and Neurosis Group), Ovid MEDLINE and PsychINFO; unpublished trials were located through professional networks and Listserves. Most recent search: September 2007. Randomised controlled trials of a broad range of psychological interventions in children and adults with CF and their immediate family. Two authors independently selected relevant trials and assessed their methodological quality. The review includes 13 studies (five new at this update) representing data from 529 participants. Studies mainly assessed behavioural and educational interventions:1. gene pre-test education counselling for relatives of those with CF;2. biofeedback, massage and music therapy to assist physiotherapy;3. behavioural and educational interventions to improve dietary intake and airway clearance;4. self-administration of medication and education to promote independence, knowledge and quality of life; and5. systemic interventions promoting psychosocial functioning.A substantial proportion of outcomes were educational or behavioural relating to issues of adherence, change in physical status or other specific treatment concerns during the chronic phase of the disease. Some evidence was found for relative's acceptance of a genetic test for carrier status when using home-based rather than clinic-based information leaflets and testing. There is some evidence that behavioural interventions improve emotional outcomes in people with CF and their carers, and that psychoeducational interventions improve knowledge in the short term. There was no consistent effect on lung function, although one small study showed that biofeedback-assisted breathing re-training helped improve some lung function measurements. Some studies point to educational and behavioural interventions aiding nutrition and growth in people with CF. Currently there is insufficient evidence for interventions aimed at other aspects of the disease process. Currently no clear evidence exists on the best psychological interventions to help people with CF and their carers manage the disease. Trials of interventions to improve adherence to treatment are needed. Multicentre approaches, with consequent funding implications, will increase the sample size of trials and enhance the power and precision of their findings.

Many approaches are used to address behavioural problems in childhood including medication or, more usually, psychological treatments either directly with the child and/or his/her family. Behavioural and cognitive-behavioural interventions have been shown to be highly effective but access to these treatments is limited due to factors such as time and expense. Presenting the information parents need in order to manage these behaviour problems in booklet or other media-based format would most likely reduce the cost and increase access to these interventions. To review the effects of media-based cognitive-behavioural therapies for any young person with a behavioural disorder (diagnosed using a recognised instrument) compared to standard care and no-treatment controls. The following electronic databases were systematically searched: CENTRAL (The Cochrane Library Issue 3, 2005), MEDLINE (1966 to August 2005), EMBASE (1980 to August 2005), PsycINFO (1887 to August 2005), CINAHL (1982 to August 2005), Biosis (1985 to August 2005) and Sociofile (1974 to August 2005). References in all selected trials were checked for other trials and experts in the field were contacted for additional information. Randomised and quasi-randomised controlled trials (e.g. trials which used sequential randomisation) of media-based behavioural treatments for behaviour problems in children. Abstracts and titles of studies identified from searches of electronic databases were read to determine whether they met the inclusion criteria. Full copies of those possibly meeting these criteria from electronic or other searches were assessed by the reviewers and queries were resolved by discussion. Data were analysed using RevMan 4.2. Eleven studies including 943 participants were included within this review. In general, media-based therapies for behavioural disorders in children had a moderate, if variable, effect when compared with both no-treatment controls with effects sizes ranging from -0.12 (-1.65, 1.41) to -32.60 (-49.93, -15.27) and as and adjunct to medication with effect sizes ranging from -2.71 (-5.86, -0.44) to -39.55 (-75.01, -4.09). Significant improvements were made with the addition of up to two hours of therapist time. These formats of delivering behavioural interventions for carers of children are worth considering in clinical practice. Media-based interventions may, in some cases, be enough to make clinically significant changes in a child's behaviour, and may reduce the amount of time primary care workers have to devote to each case. They can also be used as the first stage of a stepped care approach. Consequently this would increase the number of families who could possibly benefit from these types of intervention, releasing clinician time that can be reallocated to more complex cases. Media-based therapies would therefore appear to have both clinical and economic implications as regards the treatment of children with behavioural problems.

In this narrative review, we summarize relevant literature pertaining to psychosocial risk factors for headache and migraine progression, current behavioral and psychological treatments, and consider promising treatments. Headache and migraine are common and associated with significant burden and disability. Current treatments targeting psychosocial risk factors show modest outcomes and do not directly address the impact of early life adversity, including the development of maladaptive emotional processing. An intervention that could address these factors and include components of current evidence-based interventions may lead to improved outcomes. We searched PubMed and Google Scholar for articles through December 2022. Search terms included headache, migraine, psychological interventions, behavioral interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psychiatric comorbidities, adverse childhood experiences, trauma, and emotional processing. Trauma and childhood adversity show a correlation with headache and migraine progression. Developmental adversity and trauma interfere with adaptive emotional processing, which may worsen headache and migraine symptoms, while adaptive ways of experiencing emotions are shown to improve symptoms. Current behavioral and psychological interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness therapies, are effective treatments for headache, but they produce small to medium effect sizes and do not directly address the impact of trauma and emotional conflicts-common factors that contribute to chronicity and disability, especially among certain subpopulations of headache patients such as those with migraine. Thus, there exists a gap in current treatment. There is a gap in headache and migraine treatment for those patients who have a history of trauma, childhood adversity, and maladaptive emotional processing. We suggest that an integrated psychological treatment that includes components of current evidence-based interventions and addresses gaps by focusing on processing trauma-related emotions may improve chronic and debilitating symptoms.

Objective To analyze and compare behavior problems of school aged children between high functioning autism(HFA) and Asperger syndrome(AS). Methods Using the Child Behaviour Checklist(CBCL) to investigate and compare behavior problems of 20 children with HFA,25 children with AS and 27 matched con-trois,and to analyze the relation of behavior problems and age in children with HFA and AS by linear regression. Results (1) Compared with the control group,behavior problems in both HFA group and AS group had a signifi-cant differenee(P<0.05). (2)Compared with the HFA group, scores of learning ability in AS group had a signifi-cant increase [(1.96±1.08) vs (3.13±1.07 ), P<0.05]. (3) There was linear regressive relation between age and the scores of behavior problems such as uncomfortable describing in body, associating disability, violating disci-pline in both HFA and AS group. With the increasing of age, these behavior problems increased, but their increas-ing relative degree was different. Conclusion There are some difference in behavior problems of school age chil-dren between HFA and AS, which supported a view AS is an independent subgroup in pervasive developmental dis-orders. With the development of society, psychological health becomes a basic standard for a college student to grow into a qualified person. This study is aimed at using data mining principles and methods to excavate the factors that lead to psychological problems of college students, to purposefully carry out psychological interventions, use visual art design methods to promote college students' psychological health treatment, and build a perfect system of college students' psychological treatment. Based on the theories of data mining, we built a data analysis model, elaborated the data preprocessing method, and applied the Apriori algorithm to analyze the data of obsessive-compulsive symptoms and interpersonal sensitivity symptoms, and various psychological problem attributes extracted the strong association rules and analyzed the results. Take advantage of the corresponding unique school environment and educational advantages, to build a set of mental health education methods suitable for modern college students, and truly enable them to obtain satisfactory psychological interventions in a reasonable art design treatment phase. Based on the above association pattern mining results, a series of preprocessing operations were performed on the data, and then, the Apriori algorithm was applied to discover the potential association relationships among 9 psychological dimension factors of college students, and then, the ID3 decision tree algorithm was used to construct a decision tree and pruning process, from which the classification rules of students' psychological problems were analyzed and discovered. These studies provide some practical reference basis for school counseling work.

Objective: To explore the psychological problems affecting the quality of life of cancer patients and nursing intervention. Methods: 60 cancer patients were included in this study, all of whom were admitted from January 2022 to January 2023. The above patients were all self-made psychological problems questionnaire to understand the patients' psychological problems. Random number table method is divided into experimental group and reference group, the routine nursing application in the reference group, the experimental group to take psychological nursing intervention. There were 30 patients in each group. The nursing effects of the two groups were evaluated by anxiety and depression scores, treatment compliance, quality of life and nursing satisfaction. Results: The psychological problems of the two groups of patients were investigated by questionnaire, in which the proportion of anxiety was 58.33%, depression 51.67%, fear 41.67%, agitation 43.33%, irritability 30.00%. The difference of anxiety and depression scores between the two groups was small before nursing (P > 0.05), and the experimental group was lower after nursing (P < 0.05). The treatment compliance of the experimental group was higher than that of the reference group (P < 0.05). The survival quality of the experimental group was higher (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the reference group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: There are many negative psychological problems such as anxiety, depression, fear and irritability in cancer patients, which are mainly caused by adverse reactions of treatment and lack of effective support. By taking psychological nursing intervention, patients can alleviate negative emotions, improve their treatment compliance, help to improve their quality of life, so that patients are more satisfied.
