Big Data Processing and Data Analytics

The present spreading out of big data found the realization of AI and machine learning. With the rise of big data and machine learning, the idea of improving accuracy and enhancing the efficacy of AI applications is also gaining prominence. Machine learning solutions provide improved guard safety in hazardous traffic circumstances in the context of traffic applications. The existing architectures have various challenges, where data privacy is the foremost challenge for vulnerable road users (VRUs). The key reason for failure in traffic control for pedestrians is flawed in the privacy handling of the users. The user data are at risk and are prone to several privacy and security gaps. If an invader succeeds to infiltrate the setup, exposed data can be malevolently influenced, contrived, and misrepresented for illegitimate drives. In this study, an architecture is proposed based on machine learning to analyze and process big data efficiently in a secure environment. The proposed model considers the privacy of users during big data processing. The proposed architecture is a layered framework with a parallel and distributed module using machine learning on big data to achieve secure big data analytics. The proposed architecture designs a distinct unit for privacy management using a machine learning classifier. A stream processing unit is also integrated with the architecture to process the information. The proposed system is apprehended using real-time datasets from various sources and experimentally tested with reliable datasets that disclose the effectiveness of the proposed architecture. The data ingestion results are also highlighted along with training and validation results.

The prosperity of modern human civilization is attributed to the huge amount of resources and energy. With the increasing population and technological advancements, thedemand for energy will definitely continue to increase. Howto save energy has become an important issue. In this work, we proposed a system to collect the electricity usage data in campus buildings through smart meters and environmental sensors, and process the huge amount of data by big data processing techniques. Therefore, we introduced cloud computing and big data processing architecture as solutions to build a real-time energy monitoring system for smart campus. In this work, we used Hadoop ecosystem which is built on big data processing architecture to improve the capacity of big data storage and processing for our system. The proposedsystem has been implemented in Tunghai University. Finally, the system interface vividly displays the electricity usage states in campus buildings; thus, users can monitor the electricity usage in the campus and historical data at any time and any place.

 Introduction
 With the rapid advancements in neurotechnological machinery and improved analytical insights from machine learning in neuroscience, the availability of big brain data has increased tremendously. Neurological health research is done using digitized brain data.[1] There must be adequate data governance to secure the privacy of subjects participating in brain research and treatments. If not properly regulated, the research methods could lead to significant breaches of the subject’s autonomy and privacy. This paper will address the necessity for neuroprotection laws, which effectively govern the use of big brain data to ensure respect for patient privacy and autonomy.
 Background
 Artificial intelligence and machine learning can be integrated with neuroscience big brain data to drive research studies. This integrative technology allows patterns of electrical activity in neurons to be studied in detail.[2]Specifically, it uses a robotic system which can reason, plan, and exhibit biologically intelligent behavior. Machine learning is a method of computer programming where the code can adapt its behavior based on big brain data.[3] The big brain data is the collection of large amounts of information for the purpose of deciphering patterns through computer analysis using machine learning.[4] The information that these technologies provide is extensive enough to allow a researcher to read a patient’s mind. AI and machine learning technologies work by finding the underlying structure of brain data, which is then described by patterns known as latent factors, eventually resulting in an understanding of the brain’s temporal dynamics.[5]
 Through these technologies, researchers are able to decipher how the human brain computes its performances and thoughts. However, due to the extensive and complex nature of the data processed through AI and machine learning, researchers may gain access to personal information a patient may not wish to reveal. From a bioethical lens, tensions arise in the realm of patient autonomy. Patients are not able to control the transmission of data from their brains that is analyzed by researchers. Governing brain data through laws may enhance the extent of patient privacy in the case where brain data is being used through AI technologies.[6] A responsible approach to governing brain data would require a sophisticated legal structure.
 Analysis
 Impact on Patient Autonomy and Privacy 
 In research pertaining to big brain data, the consent forms do not fully cover the vast amounts of information that is collected. According to research, personal data has become the most sought out commodity to provide content to corporations and the web-based service industry. Unfortunately, data leaks that release private information frequently occur.[7] The storage of an individual’s data on technologies accessible on the internet during research studies makes it vulnerable to leaks, jeopardizing an individual’s privacy. These data leaks may cause the patient to be identified easily, as the degree of information provided by AI technologies are personalized and may be decoded through brain fingerprinting methods.[8]
 There has been an extensive growth in the development and use of AI. It is efficient in providing information to radiologists who diagnose various diseases including brain cancer and psychiatric disease, and AI assists in the delivery of telemedicine.[9] However, the ethical pitfall of reduced patient autonomy must be addressed by analyzing current AI technologies and creating more options for patient preference in how the data may be used. For instance, facial recognition technology[10] commonly used in health care produces more information than listed in common consent forms, threatening to undermine informed consent. Facial recognition software collects extensive data and may disclose more information than a person would prefer to provide despite being a useful tool for diagnosing medical and genetic conditions.[11] In addition, people may not be aware that their images are being used to generate more clinical data for other purposes. It is difficult to guarantee the data is anonymized. Consent requirements must include informing people about the complexity of the potential uses of the data; software developers should maximize patient privacy.[12] Furthermore, there is a “human element” in the use of AI technologies as medical providers control the use and the extent to which data is captured or accessed through the AI technologies.[13] People must understand the scope of the technology and have clear communication with the physician or health care provider about how the medical information will be used. 
 Existing Laws for Brain Data Governance 
 A strict system of defined legal responsibilities of medical providers will ensure a higher degree of patient privacy and autonomy when AI technologies and data from machine learning are used. Governing specific algorithmic data is crucial in safeguarding a patient’s privacy and developing a gold standard treatment protocol following the procurement of the information.[14] Certain AI technologies provide more data than others, and legal boundaries should be established to ensure strong performance, quality control, and scope for patient privacy and autonomy. For instance, currently AI technologies are being used in the realm of intensive neurological care. However, there is a significant level of patient uncertainty about how much control patients have over the data’s uses.[15] Calibrated legal and ethical standards will allow important brain data to be securely governed and monitored.
 Once brain signals are recorded and processed from one individual, the data may be merged with other data in Brain Computer Interface Technology (BCI).[16] To ensure a right and ability to retrieve personal data or pull it from the collection, specific regulations for varying types of data are needed.[17] The importance of consent and patient privacy must be considered through giving patients a transparent view of how brain data is governed.[18] The legal system must address discriminatory issues and risks to patients whose data is used in studies. Laws like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Protection Act (CCPA) can serve as effective models to protect aggregated data. These laws govern consumer information and ensure the compliance when personal data is collected.[19] California voters recently approved expansion of the CCPA to health data. The Washington Privacy Act, which would have provided rights to access, change, and withdraw personal data, failed to pass. Other states should improve privacy as well,[20] although a federal bill would be preferable. Scientists at the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences argue for data security to be governed in a manner that balances patient privacy and autonomy with the commercial interests of researchers.[21] The balance could be achieved through privacy protections like those in the Washington Privacy Act. Although the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) provides an overall framework to deter the likelihood of dangers to patient protection and privacy, more thorough laws are warranted to combat pervasive data transfer and analysis that technology has brought to the health care industry.[22] Breaches of patient privacy under current HIPAA regulations include releasing patient information to a reporter without their consent and sending HIV data to a patient’s employer without consent.[23] HIPAA does not cover information being shared with outside contractors who do not have an agreement with technology companies to keep patient data confidential. HIPAA regulations also do not always address blatant breaches on patient data confidentiality.[24] Patients must be provided with methods to monitor the data being analyzed to be able to view the extent of private information being generated via AI technologies. In health research, the medical purposes of better diagnosis, earlier detection of diseases, or prevention are ethical justifications for the use of the data if it was collected with permission, the person understood and approved the uses of the data, and the data was deidentified.
 A standard governance framework is required in providing the fairest system of care to patients who allow their brain data to be examined. Informed consent in the neuroscience field could reaffirm the privacy and autonomy of patients by ensuring that they understand the type of information collected. Laws also could protect data after a patient’s death. Malpractice in the scope of brain data could give people a cause of action critical in safeguarding patient’s rights. Data breach lawsuits will become common but generally do not cover deidentified data that becomes part of big data collection. A more synchronized approach to the collection and consent process will encourage an understanding of how big data is used to diagnose and treat patients. Some altruistic people may even be more likely to consent if they know the largescale data collection is helpful to treat and diagnose people. Others should have the ability to opt out of sharing neurological data, especially when there is not certainty surrounding deidentification.[25]
 Conclusion
 Artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies have the potential to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of people globally by extracting and aggregating brain data specific to individuals. However, the secure use of the data is necessary to build trust between care providers and patients, as well as in balancing the bioethical principles of beneficence and patient autonomy. Machine learning for Big Data analytics in plants.

In this research, an integrated framework on the big Earth data analysis has been developed in the context of the geomorphology of Jordan. The research explores the correlation between several thematic datasets, including machine learning and multidisciplinary geospatial data. GIS mapping is widely used in geological mapping as the most adequate technical tool for data visualization and analysis. GIS applications encourage geological prospective modeling by visualizing data aimed at the prognosis of mineral resources. However, automatization using machine learning for big Earth data processing provides the speed and accurate processing of multisource massive datasets. This is enabled by the application of scripting and programming in cartographic techniques. This study presents the combined machine learning methods of cartographic analysis and big Earth data modeling. The objective is to analyze a correlation between the factors affecting the geomorphological shape of Jordan with respects to the Dead Sea Fault and geological evolution. The technical methodology includes the following three independent tools: 1) Generic Mapping Tools (GMT); 2) Selected libraries of R programming language; 3) QGIS. Specifically, the GMT scripting program was used for topographic, seismic and geophysical mapping, while QGIS was used for geologic mapping and R language for geomorphometric modeling. Accordingly, the workflow is logically structured through these three technical tools, representing different cartographic approaches for data processing. Data and materials include multisource datasets of the various resolution, spatial extent, origin and formats. The results presented cartographic layouts of qualitative and quantitative maps with statistical summaries (histograms). The novelty of this approach is explained by the need to close a technical gap between the traditional GIS and scripting mapping, which is wider for big data mapping and where the crucial factors are speed and precision of data handling, as well as effective visualization achieved by the machine graphics. The paper analyzes the underlying geologic processes affecting the formation of geomorphological landforms in Jordan with a 3D visualization of the selected fragment of the Dead Sea Fault zone. The research presents an extended description in methodology, including the explanations of code snippets from the GMT modules and examples of the use of R libraries ‘raster’ and ‘tmap’. The results revealed strong correlation between the geological and geophysical settings which affect geomorphological patterns. Integrated study of the geomorphology of Jordan was based on multisource datasets processed by scripting. A thorough analysis presented regional correlations between the geomorphological, geological and tectonic settings in Jordan. The paper contributed both to the development of cartographic engineering by introducing scripting techniques and to the regional studies of Jordan including the Dead Sea Fault as a special region of Jordan. The results include 12 new thematic maps including a 3D model.

This book explores the significant role of granular computing in advancing machine learning towards in-depth processing of big data. It begins by introducing the main characteristics of big data, i.e., the five Vs—Volume, Velocity, Variety, Veracity and Variability. The book explores granular computing as a response to the fact that learning tasks have become increasingly more complex due to the vast and rapid increase in the size of data, and that traditional machine learning has proven too shallow to adequately deal with big data. Some popular types of traditional machine learning are presented in terms of their key features and limitations in the context of big data. Further, the book discusses why granular-computing-based machine learning is called for, and demonstrates how granular computing concepts can be used in different ways to advance machine learning for big data processing. Several case studies involving big data are presented by using biomedical data and sentiment data, in order to show the advances in big data processing through the shift from traditional machine learning to granular-computing-based machine learning. Finally, the book stresses the theoretical significance, practical importance, methodological impact and philosophical aspects of granular-computing-based machine learning, and suggests several further directions for advancing machine learning to fit the needs of modern industries.

The purpose of the work is to study the current problems and prospects of the solution for processing big data received or stored in the Internet (web data), as well as the possibility of practical realization of Data Mining technology for big web data on practical example. Materials and methods. The study included a review of bibliographic sources on big data analysis problems.Data Mining technology was used to analyze large web data, as well as computer modeling of a practical problem using the C # programming language and creating a DDL database structure for accumulating web data.Results. In the course of the work, the specifics of big data were described, the main characteristics of big data were highlighted, and modern approaches to processing big data were analyzed. A brief description of the horizontal-scalable architecture and the BI-solution architecture for big data processing is given. The problems of processing large web data are formulated: limiting the speed of access to data, providing access via network protocols through general-purpose networks.An example showing the approach to processing large web data was also implemented. Based on the idea of big data, the described complexities of web data processing and the methods of Data Mining, techniques were proposed for effectively solving the practical problem of processing and searching patterns in a large data array.The following classes have been developed in the C # programming language:Class of receiving web data via the Internet; Data conversion class;Intelligent data processing class;Created DDL script that creates a structure for the accumulation of web data.A single UML class diagram has been developed.The constructed system of data and classes allows to solve the main part of the problems of processing large web data and perform intelligent processing using Data Mining technology in order to solve the problem posed of identifying certain records in a large array. The combination of object-oriented approach, neural networks and BI-analysis to filter data will speed up the process of data processing and obtaining the result of the studyConclusion. According to the results of the study, it can be argued that the current state of technology for analyzing large web data allows you to efficiently process data objects, identify patterns, get hidden data and get full-fledged statistical data.The obtained results can be used both for the purpose of the initial study of big data processing technologies, and as a basis for developing an already real application for analyzing web data. The use of neural networks and the created universal classes-handlers makes the created architecture flexible and self-learning, and the class declarations and the base DDL structure will greatly simplify the development of program code.

This article delves into the communication quality monitoring system driven by big data under the C/S (client/server) architecture, aiming to provide a comprehensive, real-time, and efficient security monitoring solution for factory production and manufacturing environments. The system integrates LoRa wireless communication technology, big data processing and analysis technology, and innovative dynamic expansion algorithms to achieve real-time monitoring and rapid response to various safety hazards in the production environment. The core of the system lies in the construction of LoRa wireless communication network, which adopts an innovative umbrella shaped network structure to ensure stable and fast transmission of sensor monitoring data to the server. By using the STM32 development board with LoRa module, dynamic expansion of hardware integration modules has been achieved, enhancing the flexibility and scalability of the system. At the level of data transmission and processing, introducing Kafka distributed message queue as a data cache effectively alleviates the pressure of processing massive real-time data. Combining the Spark Streaming streaming data processing framework, a distributed data processing model was constructed to achieve real-time consumption and efficient parallel processing of messages in Kafka queues. At the same time, the designed dynamic extension algorithm model can automatically persist the data of new monitoring points, ensuring the system's rapid adaptation to data changes. In terms of data storage and visualization, a data persistence layer architecture for a big data platform has been constructed. Real time data, historical data, and log data are stored separately in Redis, MySQL, and HDFS systems through a data streaming model, improving data storage efficiency and system performance. Based on Tomcat network server and SSM architecture, a B/S structured web server visualization platform has been developed, which supports users to remotely query the security status of the production environment through computer or mobile browser, and receive alarm notifications in case of abnormalities. The system integration test results show that the communication quality monitoring system performs excellently in wireless communication quality, data processing speed, data storage efficiency, and data visualization, and can meet the complex monitoring needs of factory production and manufacturing environments, providing solid technical support for enterprise safety production. However, there is still room for improvement in real-time data collection loss rate, alarm function completeness, and mobile access experience. Future research will focus on optimizing data transmission software models, adding multi-channel alarm functions, and developing mobile apps to enhance user experience.

As new scientific instruments generate ever more data, we need to parallelize advanced data analysis algorithms such as machine learning to harness the available computing power. The success of commercial Big Data systems demonstrated that it is possible to automatically parallelize many algorithms. However, these Big Data tools have trouble handling the complex analysis operations from scientific applications. To overcome this difficulty, we have started to build an automated parallel data processing engine for science, known as ARRAYUDF. This paper provides an overview of this data processing engine, and a use case involving a feature extraction task from a large-scale seismic recording technology, called distributed acoustic sensing (DAS). The key challenge associated with DAS data sets is that they are vast in volume and noisy in data quality. The existing methods used by the DAS team for extracting useful signals like traveling seismic waves are complex and very time-consuming. Our parallel data processing engine reduces the job execution time from 10s of hours to 10s of seconds, and achieves 95% parallelization efficiency. ARRAYUDF could be used to implement more advanced data processing algorithms including machine learning, and could work with many more applications.

The complexity of the Internet and the volume of network traffic have dramatically increased in the last few years, making it more challenging to design scalable Network Traffic Monitoring and Analysis (NTMA) systems. Critical NTMA applications such as the detection of network attacks and anomalies require fast mechanisms for on-line analysis of thousands of events per second, as well as efficient techniques for off-line analysis of massive historical data. The high-dimensionality of network data provided by current network monitoring systems opens the door to the massive application of machine learning approaches to improve the detection and classification of network attacks and anomalies, but this higher dimensionality comes with an extra data processing overhead. In this paper we present Big-DAMA, a big data analytics framework (BDAF) for NTMA applications. Big-DAMA is a flexible BDAF, capable to analyze and store big amounts of both structured and unstructured heterogeneous data sources, with both stream and batch processing capabilities. Big-DAMA uses off-the-shelf big data storage and processing engines to offer both stream data processing and batch processing capabilities, decomposing separate engines for stream, batch and query, following a Data Stream Warehouse (DSW) paradigm. Big-DAMA implements several algorithms for anomaly detection and network security using supervised and unsupervised machine learning (ML) models, using off-the-shelf ML libraries. We apply Big-DAMA to the detection of different types of network attacks and anomalies, benchmarking multiple supervised ML models. Evaluations are conducted on top of real network measurements collected at the WIDE backbone network, using the well-known MAWILab dataset for attacks labeling. Big-DAMA can speed up computations by a factor of 10 when compared to a standard Apache Spark cluster, and can be easily deployed in cloud environments, using hardware virtualization technology.

This research inspects methodologies for enhancing the classification accuracy of medical decision systems by leveraging ML algorithms and big data analytics procedure. In this study, a broad evaluation of existing literature on ML applications in healthcare and medical decision-making is carried out to discover current challenges and potential areas for improvement. The research explores the integration of diverse data sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), medical imaging, genomic data, and patient-generated data, to build robust predictive models. Moreover, the research emphasizes the importance of interpretability and transparency in ML models for medical decision-making, particularly in critical healthcare settings where the rationale behind predictions is crucial. Techniques for model explainability, such as feature importance analysis and model-agnostic interpretability methods, are explored to enhance trust and adoption of ML-driven decision systems by healthcare professionals. Furthermore, the study investigates advanced ML algorithms such as deep learning, ensemble methods, and feature engineering techniques to extract meaningful patterns from large and complex medical datasets. Through experimentation with real-world medical datasets, the efficacy of these algorithms in improving classification accuracy is evaluated and compared against traditional methods. The result of this research contributes to the advancement of ML-driven medical decision systems by providing insights into strategies for improving classification accuracy, thereby facilitating more exact diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment recommendations. Big data is the biggest challenges as we need huge processing power system and good algorithms to make an decision. According to McKinsey There will be a shortage of 15000000 big data professionals by the end of 2020. There are lots of technologies to solve the problem of big data Storage and processing. Such technologies are Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and many more. Here we analyse the processing speed for the 4GB data on cloudx lab with Hadoop mapreduce with varing mappers and reducers and with pig script and Hive querries and spark environment along with machine learning technology and from the results we can say that machine learning with Hadoop will enhance the processing performance along with with spark, and also we can say that spark is better than Hadoop mapreduce pig and hive, spark with hive and machine learning will be the best performance enhanced compared with pig and hive, Hadoop mapreduce jar.

Big data platforms strive to achieve scalability and realtime for query processing and complex analytics over “big” and/or “fast” data. In this context, big data warehouses are huge repositories of data to be used in analytics and machine learning. This work discusses models, concepts and approaches to reach scalability and realtime in big data processing and big data warehouses. The main concepts of NoSQL, Parallel Data Management Systems (PDBMS), MapReduce and Spark are reviewed in the context of scalability. The first two offering data management, the last two adding flexible and scalable processing capacities. We also turn our attention to realtime data processing, lambda architecture and its relation with scalability, and we revisit our own recent research on the issue. Three approaches are included that are directly related to realtime and scalability: the use of a realtime component in a data warehouse, parallelized de-normalization for scalability and execution tree sharing for scaling to simultaneous sessions. With these models and technologies we revisit some of the major current solutions for data management and data processing with scalability and realtime capacities.

Big data applications in healthcare have provided a variety of solutions to reduce costs, errors, and waste. This work aims to develop a real-time system based on big medical data processing in the cloud for the prediction of health issues. In the proposed scalable system, medical parameters are sent to Apache Spark to extract attributes from data and apply the proposed machine learning algorithm. In this way, healthcare risks can be predicted and sent as alerts and recommendations to users and healthcare providers. The proposed work also aims to provide an effective recommendation system by using streaming medical data, historical data on a user’s profile, and a knowledge database to make the most appropriate real-time recommendations and alerts based on the sensor’s measurements. This proposed scalable system works by tweeting the health status attributes of users. Their cloud profile receives the streaming healthcare data in real time by extracting the health attributes via a machine learning prediction algorithm to predict the users’ health status. Subsequently, their status can be sent on demand to healthcare providers. Therefore, machine learning algorithms can be applied to stream health care data from wearables and provide users with insights into their health status. These algorithms can help healthcare providers and individuals focus on health risks and health status changes and consequently improve the quality of life.
