Varieties of algebras
This paper provides a complete classification of four-dimensional complex Poisson algebras, extending previous work on lower-dimensional cases. We develop a systematic approach that combines the classification of four-dimensional complex commutative associative algebras with the classification of four-dimensional complex Lie algebras, allowing us to determine all compatible Poisson structures up to isomorphism. Our main result presents 71 distinct types: 60 isolated non-isomorphic Poisson algebras with non-trivial commutative product and 11 one-parameter families of non-isomorphic Poisson algebras. In addition to these, we include the known four-dimensional complex Lie algebras, viewed as Poisson algebras with trivial commutative product. This purely algebraic classification provides a foundation for future studies, including the geometric classification of Poisson algebras, their degenerations, and the analysis of orbit closures in the corresponding algebraic variety.

Representation Theory of Finite Dimensional Algebras
Methods and results from the representation theory of finite di- mensional algebras have led to many interactions with other areas of mathe- matics. Such areas include the theory of Lie algebras and quantum groups, commutative algebra, algebraic geometry and topology, and in particular the new theory of cluster algebras. The aim of this workshop was to further de- velop such interactions and to stimulate progress in the representation theory of algebras.
Read moreConnected (graded) Hopf algebras
We study algebraic and homological properties of two classes of infinite-dimensional Hopf algebras over an algebraically closed field k k of characteristic 0 0 . The first class consists of those Hopf k k -algebras that are connected graded as algebras, and the second class are those Hopf k k -algebras that are connected as coalgebras. For many but not all of the results presented here, the Hopf algebras are assumed to have finite Gel’fand–Kirillov dimension. It is shown that if the Hopf algebra H H is a connected graded Hopf algebra of finite Gel’fand–Kirillov dimension n n , then H H is a noetherian domain which is Cohen–Macaulay, Artin–Schelter regular, and Auslander regular of global dimension n n . It has S 2 = I d H S^2 = \mathrm {Id}_H , and it is Calabi–Yau. Detailed information is also provided about the Hilbert series of H H . Our results leave open the possibility that the first class of algebras is (properly) contained in the second. For this second class, the Hopf k k -algebras of finite Gel’fand–Kirillov dimension n n with connected coalgebra, the underlying coalgebra is shown to be Artin–Schelter regular of global dimension n n . Both these classes of Hopf algebras share many features in common with enveloping algebras of finite-dimensional Lie algebras. For example, an algebra in either of these classes satisfies a polynomial identity only if it is a commutative polynomial algebra. Nevertheless, we construct, as one of our main results, an example of a Hopf k k -algebra H H of Gel’fand–Kirillov dimension 5, which is connected graded as an algebra and connected as a coalgebra, but is not isomorphic as an algebra to U ( g ) U(\mathfrak {g}) for any Lie algebra g \mathfrak {g} .
Read morePre-Poisson Algebras
A definition of pre-Poisson algebras is proposed, combining structures of pre-Lie and zinbiel algebra on the same vector space. It is shown that a pre-Poisson algebra gives rise to a Poisson algebra by passing to the corresponding Lie and commutative products. Analogs of basic constructions of Poisson algebras (through deformations of commutative algebras, or from filtered algebras whose associated graded algebra is commutative) are shown to hold for pre-Poisson algebras. The Koszul dual of pre-Poisson algebras is described. It is explained how one may associate a pre-Poisson algebra to any Poison algebra equipped with a Baxter operator, and a dual pre-Poisson algebra to any Poisson algebra equipped with an averaging operator. Examples of this construction are given. It is shown that the free zinbiel algebra (the shuffle algebra) on a pre-Lie algebra is a pre-Poisson algebra. A connection between the graded version of this result and the classical Yang–Baxter equation is discussed.
Read moreHamiltonian formalism of extended magnetohydrodynamics
The extended magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) system, including the Hall effect and the electron inertia effect, has a Hamiltonian structure embodied by a noncanonical Poisson algebra on an infinite-dimensional phase space. A nontrivial part of the formulation is the proof of Jacobiʼs identity for the Poisson bracket. We unearth a basic Lie algebra that generates the Poisson bracket. A class of similar Poisson algebra may be generated by the same Lie algebra, which encompasses the Hall MHD system and inertial MHD system.

We construct a class of new Lie algebras by generalizing the one-variable Lie algebras generated by the quadratic conformal algebras (or corresponding Hamiltonian operators) associated with Poisson algebras and a quasi-derivation found by Xu. These algebras can be viewed as certain twists of Xu’s generalized Hamiltonian Lie algebras. The simplicity of these algebras is completely determined. Moreover, we construct a family of multiplicity-free representations of these Lie algebras and prove their irreducibility.
Read moreBrauer-Clifford group of Poisson $(S,H)$-Hopf algebras
In this paper, we extend the notion of the Brauer-Clifford group to the case of an Azumaya-Poisson $(S,H)$-Hopf algebra, when $H$ is a commutative Hopf algebra and $S$ is an $H$-comodule Poisson algebra. This is the situation that arises in applications with connections to algebraic geometry. We give three useful examples : an affine algebraic group acting rationally on a Poisson algebra, a Hopf algebra coacting on the localization of a Poisson algebra and a direct product of Hopf algebras coacting on a direct product of Poisson algebras.

Let n be an arbitrary natural and let ℳ be a class of universal algebras. Denote by Ln(ℳ) the class of algebras G such that, for every n-generated subalgebra A of G, the coset a/R (a ∈ A) modulo the least congruence R including A × A is an algebra in ℳ. We investigate the classes Ln(ℳ). In particular, we prove that if ℳ is a quasivariety then Ln(ℳ) is a quasivariety. The analogous result is obtained for universally axiomatizable classes of algebras. We show also that if ℳ is a congruence-permutable variety of algebras then Ln(ℳ) is a variety. We find a variety ℘ of semigroups such that L1(℘) is not a variety.

The notion of Reiter's Segal algebra in commutative group algebras is generalized to a notion of Segal algebra in more general classes of commutative Banach algebras. Then we introduce a family of Segal algebras in commutative Banach algebras under considerations and study some properties of them.
Read moreStability of the Blok Theorem
W. Blok proved that varieties of boolean algebras with a single unary operator uniquely determined by their class of perfect algebras (i.e., duals of Kripke frames) are exactly those which are intersections of conjugate varieties of splitting algebras. The remaining ones share their class of perfect algebras with uncountably many other varieties. This theorem is known as the Blok dichotomy or the Blok alternative. We show that the Blok dichotomy holds when perfect algebras in the formulation are replaced by ω-complete algebras, atomic algebras with completely additive operators or algebras admitting residuals. We also generalize the Blok dichotomy for lattices of varieties of boolean algebras with finitely many unary operators. In addition, we answer a question posed by W. Dziobiak and show that classes of lattice-complete algebras or duals of Scott-Montague frames in a given variety are not determined by their subdirectly irreducible members.
Read moreReflection Groups and Rigidity of Quadratic Poisson Algebras
In this paper, we study the invariant theory of quadratic Poisson algebras. Let G be a finite group of the graded Poisson automorphisms of a quadratic Poisson algebra A. When the Poisson bracket of A is skew-symmetric, a Poisson version of the Shephard-Todd-Chevalley theorem is proved stating that the fixed Poisson subring AG is skew-symmetric if and only if G is generated by reflections. For many other well-known families of quadratic Poisson algebras, we show that G contains limited or even no reflections. This kind of Poisson rigidity result ensures that the corresponding fixed Poisson subring AG is not isomorphic to A as Poisson algebras unless G is trivial.
Read moreSemisimple radical classes of involution algebras
J. Wichman has asked about semisimple radical classes of involution algebras. In the present paper we describe the semisimple radical classes of involution algebras over a field K* with involution *. If K* is infinite, then there are only trivial semisimple radical classes. If K* is finite then these classes are subdirect closures of strongly hereditary finite sets of finite idempotent algebras. In proving this result we determine the structure of certain simple involution algebras. We prove that the variety of symmetric involution algebras over Z(2) does not have attainable identities, answering a problem posed by Gardner [2]. Most of the results are valid also for involution rings (over the integers).

The algebraic and geometric classification of nilpotent Leibniz algebras
This paper is devoted to the complete algebraic and geometric classification of complex 5-dimensional nilpotent Leibniz algebras. In particular, the variety of complex 5-dimensional nilpotent Leibniz algebras has dimension 24 it has 10 irreducible components (there is only one rigid algebra in this variety).
