Facing Global Environmental Change
Security and reliability of cloud computing services remain among the dominant concerns inhibiting their pervasive adaptation. The distributed and the multi-tenancy nature of the cloud computing paradigm can be considered as the root causes for their increased risks and vulnerabilities. Resource sharing and virtualization can also be mentioned as additional main factors contributing to or augmenting cross-site scripting and other cloud vulnerabilities. Cloud are also exposed to the risks and liabilities faced by other networked systems. Poorly designed APIs that may cause security problems or distributed denial of services attacks are the examples of this category that are considered in this paper. Public key infrastructure provides the foundations for provision of some essential security services. These include services such as confidentiality, authentication, and privacy that are of vital importance for establishing trust and confidence between the cloud providers and their clients. In this work, we will discuss the potential flaws of this infrastructure and examine how they may deteriorate the security and reliability levels of the cloud environments. To enable a comprehensive study of the challenges in security and reliability of the cloud computing environments, we categorize the risks and vulnerabilities they face. Traditional techniques, based on cryptography, can address some of these challenges to a certain degree. We will argue that they may not be efficient for use in cloud environments. We then focus on data-centric and homomorphic encryption methods that may provide more appropriate solutions in addressing the challenges in cloud computing security and reliability.

Paradigmatic Approach to Cloud Security: Challenges and Remedies
Cloud computing is an amalgamation of resources over the Internet which dynamically allocates capacity and resources without setting up a new physical environment. Enterprises understand the convincing monetary and operational profits provided by cloud computing. Virtualization and usage of pooled IT resources in the cloud environment, provided to the organizations, makes them realize noteworthy cost savings and speeds up deployment of new applications. On the contrary, the valuable benefits of business cannot ajar without comprehending the challenges of data security. This work emphasis on the practices that can be incorporated into the cloud environment to provide enhanced security. It highlights a set of control-based technologies and protocols to provide regulatory consent and protect information, infrastructure, and data applications associated with the use of cloud. This work proposes a design which can be used to control the data, authenticity, and security at all the levels to solve the problem of security in cloud computing environment.

ABSTRACTSecurity and privacy are fundamental concerns in cloud computing both in terms of legal complications and user trust. Cloud computing is a new computing paradigm, aiming to provide reliable, customized, and guaranteed computing dynamic environment for end users. However, the existing security and privacy issues in the cloud still present a strong barrier for users to adopt cloud computing solutions. This paper investigates the security and privacy challenges in cloud computing in order to explore methods that improve the users’ trust in the adaptation of the cloud. Policing as a Service can be offered by the cloud providers with the intention of empowering users to monitor and guard their assets in the cloud. This service is beneficial both to the cloud providers and the users. However, at first, the cloud providers may only be able to offer basic auditing services due to undeveloped tools and applications. Similar to other services delivered in the cloud, users can purchase this service to gain some control over their data. The subservices of the proposed service can be Privacy as a Service and Forensics as a Service. These services give users a sense of transparency and control over their data in the cloud while better security and privacy safeguards are sought.

Cloud computing technology is causing a shift in Information Communication Technology usage by transforming the approaches businesses employ information technology services. This benefits computing usage by allowing users to share hardware resources via multiplexing of virtual machines which are the basic units of cloud computing. Small and new businesses which often lack good financial standing but desire to use the cloud, need not own these resources, but only pay for their use at a reduced price. This alleviates the cost of technological maintenance and operation. However, the services provided by third-party cloud service providers involve inherent security threats. The relocation of corporate resources to an external administrative jurisdiction escalates security concerns such as trust, assurance and transparency. There may be devastating effects to clients, should their financial transactions and corporate information be compromised as a result of a service provider's security challenges. This research employs a quantitative case study to analyse the security challenges of popular cloud computing services existing within the past four years. An overview of security vulnerabilities in cloud computing is presented; a preliminary cloud security framework is developed and the role of computing formalisms is investigated.

Cloud computing security (sometimes referred to simply as security) is an evolving sub- domain of Computer security, Network security and, more broadly, Information security It refers to a broad set of policies, technologies, and controls deployed to protect data, applications, and the associated infrastructure of cloud computing. Cloud security is not to be confused with security software offerings that are cloud-based (a.k.a. security-as-a-service).There are a number of security issues/concerns associated with cloud computing but these issues fall into two broad categories: Security issues faced by cloud providers (organizations providing software, platform, or infrastructure as a service via the cloud) and security issues faced by their customers. In most cases, the provider must ensure that their infrastructure is secure and that their clients' data and applications are protected while the customer must ensure that the provider has taken the proper security measures to protect their information. The extensive use of virtualization in implementing cloud infrastructure brings unique security concerns for customers or tenants of a public cloud service. Virtualization alters the relationship between the OS and underlying hardware - be it computing, storage or even networking. This introduces an additional layer - virtualization - that itself must be properly configured, managed and secured .Specific concerns include the potential to compromise the virtualization software, or hyper visor. While these concerns are largely theoretical, they do exist. Cloud computing offers great potential to improve productivity and reduce costs, but at the same time it possesses many security risks. In this paper we identify the possible security attacks on clouds including: Denial of Service attack, Authentication attack Man-in-the Middle attack, Wrapping attacks, Malware-Injection attacks, Flooding attacks, Browser attacks, and also Accountability checking problems. We identify the root causes of these attacks and propose specific solutions. In this paper, the authors discuss security issues for cloud computing and present a layered framework for secure clouds and then focus on two of the layers, i.e., the storage layer and the data layer. In particular, the authors discuss a scheme for secure third party publications of documents in a cloud. Next, the paper will converse secure federated query processing with map Reduce and Hardtop, and discuss the use of secure co-processors for cloud computing. Finally, the authors discuss XACML implementation for Hardtop and discuss their beliefs that building trusted applications from untrusted components will be a major aspect of secure cloud computing. Keywords : Accountability, Authentication attacks, Computer security, Cloud Computing, Flooding attacks, Hypervisor, Virtualization, Wrapping attacks, Browser attacks, secure clouds.

Cloud Computing is a model based on computing system which provides convenient and customizable services to the users for accessing to different cloud applications. It provides a way for storing and accessing cloud data from anywhere via connecting the cloud application utilizing internet. The cloud computing and its related safety problems is one of widely discussed concerns in today generation's research field. While numerous cloud security investigations are previously widespread, there residues a definite distance in properly identifying these issues and find the appropriate solutions. Some studies discuss the problems of virtualization and approach the target, while others talk about access control mechanisms, but what's missing is a standard framework which simultaneously extends the concept of cloud security and describes its specific requirements. In addition, countermeasures given in a survey must clearly illustrate the problem it deals with. This analysis paper took all of these elements into consideration so that the necessary areas were properly connected and a number of open issues were discussed in this area. This paper also reviews the most significant security techniques to data protection and cloud security in the cloud computing. Moreover, security techniques for data protection will be recommended in order to have enhanced security in cloud computing. It will concentrate primarily on issues related to data security and provides solutions.

<span lang="EN-US">Cloud Computing is the ability to improve the utility or train new human resources without investing in new infrastructure, or add capabilities to existence without the latest software licensing. It expanded the capabilities of Information Technology (IT). From the past few years, cloud computing has developed from a good business concept in the best rising sectors of the IT industry. But more information on individuals and companies was put in the cloud, and concerns began to think about how secure the cloud environment was. Despite cloud surrounding structures, enterprise users still do not want to expand their business in the cloud. Security reduces the growth of cloud computing and continues to spread the market with complexity with data privacy and data protection. The security of cloud computing has constantly been an significant aspect of improved quality of service from cloud service providers. Data storage in the cloud has a problem related to data security. However, cloud computing construct many new security challenges which have not been well examine. In order to ensure that the user's data in the cloud is secure, we have proposed an effective mechanism with a distinctive feature of data integrity and privacy. The concept of cloud computing has recently changed how hardware, software, and information are handled. However, security challenges and credibility requirements have never changed and may have increased. Protecting cloud computing and providing security for its resources and users is one of the critical challenges. As a result, most users are afraid to use their resources, because many security problems must be met. For example, authentication and reliability are major security constraints and must be provided in a cloud computing environment. There is a wide range of authentication protocols in use, but the researcher has recommended the Kerberos protocol to represent and test it in a complex environment such as a mixed cloud environment. A model has been developed to implement Kerberos authentication in a hybrid cloud computing environment to securely access the cloud computing services provided. This model is represented using the OPNET Modeler 14.5 simulation system. The network efficiency was measured before and after the hacker. Findings presented in this research are supporting the ability of the Kerberos protocol to prevent illegal access to cloud computing services, whether from within the private cloud or the public cloud. While maintaining the efficient performance of the network.

Job scheduling system problem is a core and challenging issue in Cloud Computing. How to use Cloud computing resources efficiently and gain the maximum profits with job scheduling. Job scheduling system is one of the Cloud computing service providers’ ultimate goals. In this paper, firstly, by analysis the differentiated QoS requirements of Cloud computing resources users’ jobs, we build the corresponding non-pre-emptive priority M/G/1 queuing model for the jobs. Then, considering Cloud computing service providers’ destination which is to gain the maximum profits by offering Cloud computing resources, we built the system cost function for this queuing model. After that, based on the queuing model and system cost function, considering the goals of both the Cloud Computing service users and providers, we gave the corresponding strategy and algorithm to get the approximate optimistic value of service for each job in the corresponding no-pre-emptive priority M/G/1 queuing model. Finally, we also provide corresponding simulations and numeral results.Analysis and number results show that our approach for job scheduling system can not only guarantee the QoS requirements of the users’ jobs, but also can make the maximum profits for the Cloud computing service providers. While the economic case for cloud computing is compelling, the security challenges it poses are equally striking. In this work we strive to frame the full space of cloud-computing security issues, attempting to separate justified concerns from possible over-reactions. We examine contemporary and historical perspectives from industry, academia, government, and “black hatsâ€. We argue that few cloud computing security issues are fundamentally new or fundamentally intractable; often what appears “new†is so only relative to “traditionalâ€computing of the past several years. Looking back further to the time-sharing era, many of these problems already received attention. On the other hand, we argue that two facets are to some degree new and fundamental to cloud computing: the complexities of multi-party trust considerations, and the ensuing need for mutual audit ability.

The ICT environment has been rapidly developed by ubiquitization and cloud computing and has become far more convenient to use. On the other hand, the negative side also exists, such as threats of viruses and unlawful access, in which the use of the safe and secure ICT environment is threatened. Public key infrastructure (PKI) construction is desired as a structure to achieve the safe and secure use of the ICT environment at universities. However, PKI has not been widely constructed in universities because of the cost. In this paper, we introduce the concept of the level of assurance (LoA) on the cost structure at a campus PKI based on the university PKI (UPKI) specifications of the National Institute of Informatics. Moreover, we clarify the relationship between the cost structure of PKI and the security guarantee level so that campus PKI can be constructed at an appropriate cost and used more widely.

Multi-tenant approaches like cloud computing are vulnerable because separate tenants share a single hardware and networking platform. Privacy, acquisition, and segregation/removal of data resources are big challenges that they face. As a result, the following security challenges can be mitigated by harnessing the fairly recent graph-based models that allow for a more logical depiction of tenants, resources, and services herein. This paper presents the use of graph theory in a multi-tenant cloud to enhance the cloud environments' security in terms of access control, anomalies, and risk measures. These changed cloud resources and the tenants' touch points can be modeled as graph structures to construct security models that are useful in continuously assessing risks, identifying pre-specified anomalies, and containing them where necessary. Moreover, the paper provides an overview of existing graph-based techniques and algorithms such as graph search, community detection, and machine learning for anomaly detection for security improvement of multi- tenanted cloud platforms. These models help prevent cross-tenancy data compromise and framework invasion and illustrate VM deployment for controlling the battles over scarce resources through an actual example's plausibility. The work also includes negative aspects such as scalability, privacy invasion, and integration with conventional security models, with corresponding research areas considering the interaction with AI and Blockchain. However, the models based on graphs offer a rather sound approach to providing specific multiple-tenant security in the cloud; further developments remain imperative for enhancing cloud security. Read moreAn assessment of audio file from library system (social networks) using cloud computing
Accessing data from social networks using cloud computing has been adopted by many IT enthusiasts. It allows easy access to data and easy sending of data for communication purposes. For many social network users, cloud computing can simplify processes and save time and money. This article defines cloud computing and shows how one can quickly, safely and easily access data. It also discusses how cloud computing solutions could be beneficial to libraries in these basic areas: technology and acquisition.Today’s more libraries and social networks are joining the cloud. But despite the numerous social networks and data acquisition sites demand for data are still escalating—as they always will. To be able to access data conveniently today’s data competitiveness users of search engines must carefully scrutinize various libraries as well as social media to ensure that they match key data and communication needs and deliver intended results in the most efficient and cost-effective way. To meet these challenges, IT organizations are increasingly moving away from a device-centric view of IT, to a view that is application-, information- and people-centric. Cloud computing aligns with this new world view. Cloud computing technology is enabling IT to do more with the infrastructure that already exists, as well as adding new ways to expand capacity quickly and economically by using external cloud computing resources. This technology is enabling IT managers to treat infrastructure as a common substrate on which they can provision services to users faster in a much more flexible and cost-effective way –without having to re-design or add to the underlying infrastructure. Given the benefits of cloud computing, its broad appeal is not surprising. However, this new approach does raise some concerns. Chief among them is securing data in the cloud. This white paper will briefly review the basic fundamentals of cloud computing and describe how virtualization are enabling enterprises to move toward a flexible, federated computing model with a cohesive mix of private external and internal cloud environments. It then discusses the security implications of cloud computing and provides insights into addressing them, and offers a view of security best practices to adopt when considering cloud services.Cloud computing has become an increasingly popular means of delivering valuable, IT-enabled business services. Adopting cloud technology can be an affordable way to get access to a dynamically scalable, virtualized computing environment. Optimal IT hardware, software, expertise and infrastructure management resources that may not otherwise be available from a cost perspective can be rapidly deployed and easily scaled. Processes, applications and services can be available on demand, regard-less of the user location or device. The cloud provider is responsible for the environment, so organizations can make use of resources for short periods of time without having to maintain the environment when it is not being used. While cloud computing models are attractive because of their flexibility and cost effectiveness, certain challenges must be addressed in order to provide a viable option to traditional data services. First and foremost is the issue of security. The externalized aspect of outsourcing can make it harder to maintain data integrity and privacy, support data and service availability, demonstrate compliance, and secure highly available access to applications and information. In short, cloud computing can present an added level of risk. Organizations must therefore establish trust relationships with their cloud computing providers and understand risk in terms of how these providers implement, deploy, and manage security on their behalf. Whether delivered as part of the service or as specific components added in, your cloud provider should address the fundamentals of security and risk management through a comprehensive approach.
