Abstract
On April 15 I was awarded the “Röntgenplaquette” from the “Verein der Freunde und Förderer des Deutschen Röntgen-Museums” by the Mayor of the City of Remscheid-Lennep (120,000 inhabitants), which is understandably proud of her famous citizen and has inaugurated the “Röntgen-plaquette”. After the annual award is made, the recipient gives the special annual lecture in the large auditorium of the Röntgen-Gymnasium, which Röntgen attended before his expulsion from the school due, as Glasser's biography suggests, to a conflict Röntgen had with one of his teachers at school, which led to his emigration to Appeldorn in Holland.
