Data Security and Privacy Protection for Cloud Storage: A Survey

To study and solve the issues of big data security and privacy protection is the key to promote the healthy development of big data. In this paper, a 3D big data security and privacy protection model based on life cycle, security goal and user role is presented, and the security challenges and security goals of big data are analyzed from different aspects. The feasible technology and its application in big data security and privacy protection are expounded and analyzed, and the in-depth research direction of big data security and privacy protection is discussed and summarized.

<span lang="EN-US">Cloud Computing is the ability to improve the utility or train new human resources without investing in new infrastructure, or add capabilities to existence without the latest software licensing. It expanded the capabilities of Information Technology (IT). From the past few years, cloud computing has developed from a good business concept in the best rising sectors of the IT industry. But more information on individuals and companies was put in the cloud, and concerns began to think about how secure the cloud environment was. Despite cloud surrounding structures, enterprise users still do not want to expand their business in the cloud. Security reduces the growth of cloud computing and continues to spread the market with complexity with data privacy and data protection. The security of cloud computing has constantly been an significant aspect of improved quality of service from cloud service providers. Data storage in the cloud has a problem related to data security. However, cloud computing construct many new security challenges which have not been well examine. In order to ensure that the user's data in the cloud is secure, we have proposed an effective mechanism with a distinctive feature of data integrity and privacy. This paper focusing on problems relating to the cloud data storage techniques and security in virtual environment. We recommend a method for providing data storage and security in cloud using public key Cryptosystem, which uses the concept of the modified RSA algorithm to provide better security for the data stored in the cloud. </span>

With the rapid digitalization of educational institutions and the widespread adoption of training management platforms, ensuring robust data security and privacy protection has become a critical concern for educational stakeholders worldwide. This study presents a comprehensive testing design framework specifically tailored for data security and privacy protection in training management platforms. The research systematically examines the unique challenges posed by educational data environments, including sensitive student information handling, multi-stakeholder access controls, and regulatory compliance requirements under contemporary data protection legislation. Through the development of an integrated testing methodology that combines automated security scanning, privacy impact assessment procedures, and compliance verification protocols, this investigation demonstrates significant improvements in identifying and mitigating privacy vulnerabilities within educational platform environments. The proposed framework achieves 94% coverage of critical security scenarios while reducing privacy risk exposure by 67%, providing educational institutions with practical tools for maintaining data protection standards and ensuring regulatory compliance in increasingly complex digital learning environments.

Personal big data pricing method based on differential privacy

This study aims to explore how big data and the Internet of Things can improve the economic benefits of enterprises in online marketing. We first introduced the concept and development trend of big data, Internet of Things, and Internet marketing and then collected a large number of empirical data through the design and implementation of questionnaire survey. Our data analysis results show that the level of use of big data and the Internet of Things has a significant positive impact on business sales. However, there are also some problems and challenges in the implementation of big data and the Internet of Things, such as resource and technology limitations, and legal and ethical issues such as data security and privacy protection. Therefore, we suggest that enterprises should reasonably plan the use of big data and the Internet of Things according to their own resources and capabilities, while constantly upgrading their own technical level, focusing on data security and privacy protection, and tracking the latest technology and market trends. In addition, the government and industry organizations should also formulate and improve relevant policies and standards to support the development of big data and the Internet of Things and protect the interests of consumers. In general, big data and the Internet of Things provide new opportunities and challenges for enterprise online marketing, which need further research and discussion.

Multi-authority proxy re-encryption based on CPABE for cloud storage systems

In view of the wide application and popularization of large data, more and more data security and privacy issues have brought great challenges to the development of large data. Starting from the characteristics of big data, this paper analyses various risks of information security, and puts forward the corresponding development strategy of big data security. The results show that the combination of technology and relevant policies and regulations can better solve the problem of big data security and privacy protection.

Data security and privacy protection are increasingly becoming a bottleneck in the development of cloud computing. To improve the existing homomorphic encryption technology, ECC homomorphic encryption algorithm is proposed, and ECC homomorphic encryption algorithm is designed and implemented. Based on this, the aggregation model of data privacy protection is constructed, and the effect of ECC homomorphic encryption data security operation is analyzed. Compared with the traditional RSA encryption algorithm, ECC homomorphic encryption algorithm shows a higher level of security. When the key length increases gradually, the security of ECC with more than 300 bits is much greater than that of RSA with more than 2000 bits. At the same time, ECC homomorphic encryption algorithm is better than RSA in terms of encryption time and cipher size. ECC homomorphic encryption algorithm has the advantages of low computational complexity and good security performance.

Modern technological advances have given rise to the popularity and success of cloud in organizations and industries because it provides data storage facility and computing services at minimal cost. Data security is one of the important requirements for outsourced data in a cloud storage environment. It also brings new security vulnerabilities for assuring the data confidentiality, data integrity and data access control. Data security of a cloud system depends heavily on the cloud service provider, data owner and cloud users. So, there needs to be some methodology to monitor security vulnerabilities and providing data security in cloud environment. Now a day’s providing data security in cloud storage is one of the most critical tasks. For the past few years many works have been done to assure data security but they are failed in providing data security such as information leakage, secret-key management, cloud-user authentication, breach of data confidentiality, because of collusion attack and lots of computational activities (because of large number of secret keys).In this paper, we used threshold cryptography technique for providing data security in cloud storage system. Proposed approach addresses the data security issues in cloud system more efficiently. In this Threshold cryptography technique data owner create users in groups based on place or location, project, and department, data owner allocates single secret key to each group of users for decryption of data and every users in the group shares parts or pieces of the secret key. Proposed methodology also uses data access control list to control the data access. Proposed approach provides data security more efficiently, it also increases the performance of the system and also it minimizes the number of secret keys.

The rapid advancements in big data, cloud computing, and cloud storage technologies are profoundly reshaping the operational models of smart manufacturing supply chains. The integration and application of these technologies not only drive the enhanced data collection and analysis capabilities across various supply chain segments but also significantly improve the accuracy of demand forecasting, the rationality of resource allocation, and the scientific nature of decision support. Consequently, the collaborative efficiency and dynamic response capabilities of supply chains have been substantially elevated, providing robust technological backing for enterprises in navigating the intricately volatile market environment. Nonetheless, while reaping the benefits of these technological advancements, challenges such as data security and privacy protection, system integration, and technical selection cannot be overlooked. By judiciously selecting technology platforms, reinforcing data security management, and continuously investing in technological advancements and talent cultivation, the holistic effectiveness of smart manufacturing supply chains will be further optimized.

Against the backdrop of the continuous development of the data economy and the widespread application of algorithm technology, the protection of data security and privacy has increasingly become a concern for countries, society, enterprises, and individuals. As a new algorithm technology, privacy computing is known as the “optimal solution for data security and privacy protection” due to its “available and invisible” technical characteristics and wide applicability. However, the issue of immature privacy computing technology is becoming increasingly prominent, and the deep-seated contradiction between data utilization and data protection cannot be fundamentally resolved, which seriously restricts the practicality of privacy computing application scenarios. The risks faced by privacy computing not only have their own technological flaws, but also traditional risk prevention and regulation methods still have incompatibilities in addressing compliance issues in privacy computing. There are a series of risks such as unclear legal status of participating methods, high cost of algorithm interpretation, and inaccurate calculation results. Resolving these risks requires starting from the current development status of privacy computing. Targeted modifications and improvements should be made to the application difficulties of China’s risk regulation methods for privacy computing, in order to explore the establishment of a data governance compliance system to solve algorithmic problems and promote the practicality of new algorithmic technologies represented by privacy computing.

According to Cisco Global Cloud Index, cloud storage users will store 1.6 Gigabytes data per month by 2019, compared to 992 megabytes data per month in 2014. With this trend, it has been shown that more and more data will reside in cloud storage and it is expected to grow further. As cloud storage is becoming an option for users for keeping their data online, it comes with security concerns for protecting data from threats. This thesis addresses the need to investigate the security factors that will enable efficient security protection for data in cloud storage and the relationships that exist between the different security factors. Consequently, this research has developed a conceptual framework that supports security in cloud storage. The main contribution of this research is the development of a Cloud Storage Security Framework (CSSF) to support an integrative approach to understanding and evaluating security in cloud storage. The framework enables understanding of the makeup of security in cloud storage and measures the understanding of security in cloud storage. Drawing upon established theories and prior research findings, the framework indicates that security in cloud storage can be determined by nine factors: (1) security policies implementation in cloud storage, security measure that relates to (2) protecting the data accessed in cloud storage; (3) modifications of data stored; (4) accessibility of data stored in cloud storage; (5) non-repudiation to the data stored; (6) authenticity of the original data; (7) reliability of the cloud storage services; (8) accountability of service provision; and (9) auditability of the data accessed and stored in cloud storage. An example of CSSF application has been demonstrated through the development of a measuring instrument called Security Rating Score (SecRaS) and through a series of experiments, SecRaS has been validated and used in a research scenario. The instrument consists of several items generated using goal-question-metric approach. These potential items were evaluated by a series of experiments; the security experts assessed using content validity ratio while the security practitioners took part in the validation study. The validation study completed two experiments that look into the correlation analyses and internal reliability. SecRaS instrument was later applied in a research scenario; the validated instrument was distributed and a number of 218 usable responses were received. Using structural equation modelling, the data has revealed a good fit of the measurement analyses and structural model. The key findings were as follow: the relationships between factors were found to have both direct and indirect effects in the result. While establishing the relationship(s) among the factors, the structural model proposes three types of causal relationships in terms of how the security implementation in cloud storage could be affected by the security factors. This thesis presents a detailed discussion of the CSSF development, confirmation, and application in a research scenario. For security managers, CSSF offers a new paradigm on how stakeholders can make cloud storage security implementation successful in some depth. For security practitioners, the CSSF enables deconstruction of the concept of security in cloud storage into smaller, conceptually distinct and manageable factors to guide the design of security in cloud storage. For researchers, the CSSF provides a common framework in which to conceptualise their research and make it easier to see how the security factors fit into the larger picture.

The "Big Data" era brings massive data inflows from diverse sources, creating opportunities and privacy/security challenges. With rising public concern due to frequent data breaches, protecting privacy and data security has become crucial. This paper summarizes current academic research and developments in data protection technologies, including encryption, anonymization, and access control. It aims to provide insights into data security and privacy in big data, examining future technological prospects and challenges.

Aviation Internet of Things (AIoT) data sharing can create tremendous value for participants. With the development of AIoT and intelligent civil aviation, data security and privacy protection have become more prominent. To improve the data security and privacy of AIoT, and allow heterogeneous devices to participate in federated training, in this article, a blockchain-based federated knowledge distillation (BFKD) is proposed. First, federated knowledge distillation is used for knowledge transferring between clients to protect client data privacy. Second, a clustering algorithm is used to select aggregated soft labels to enhance Byzantine resistance. Finally, the consortium blockchain validates the data exchange process of federated knowledge distillation. In addition, a federated score grouping practical Byzantine fault-tolerant algorithm is proposed for improving consensus efficiency and to encourage participants to contribute more public data and honestly participate in federated training. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that BFKD boasts high data mining performance and communication efficiency while safeguarding data privacy and security.

To solve the problem of big data security and privacy protection, and expound the concept of cloud computing, big data and the relationship between them, the existing security and privacy protection method characteristic and problems were studied. A reference model is proposed which is based on cloud platform. In this model the physical level, data layer, interface layer and application layer step by step in to implement the system security risk early warning and threat perception, this provides an effective solution for the research of big data security. At the same time, a future research direction that uses the blockchain to solve cloud security and privacy protection is also pointed out.
