DEVELOPMENT TEACHING MATERIALS OF MATHEMATICS BASIC CONCEPTS BASED ON INTERNALIZATION OF ISLAMIC VALUE TO INCREASING CONCEPT UNDERSTANDING ABILITY

Character education based on Islamic values is a crucial aspect in the formation of students’ personalities, especially in vocational education environments with a semi-military system. The campus environment, encompassing physical, social, and cultural aspects, is believed to play a strategic role in the process of internalizing Islamic values. However, the extent to which these elements contribute to the Islamic behavior of students is still rarely studied in depth. This research aims to comprehensively analyze the impact of the campus environment on the internalization of Islamic educational values. The approach employed was qualitative descriptive, utilizing data collection techniques that included participatory observation and in-depth interviews with six final-year students, two lecturers, and two campus staff members. Data analysis was conducted thematically, through coding, categorization, and the identification of key themes that describe the relationship between the physical, social, and cultural aspects of the campus and the practice of Islamic values. The study’s results indicate a gap between the availability of worship facilities and religious programs, and the internalization of Islamic values in students’ daily behavior. Student participation tends to be formal and inconsistent, while semi-military discipline has not been fully integrated with the development of Islamic character. The social and cultural environment of the campus has not formed a collective culture that supports the practice of Islamic values as a whole. These findings confirm that strengthening Islamic educational values requires synergy between campus structure, social interaction, and culture, not just through the provision of formal facilities or programs. The implications of this research can serve as the basis for formulating a more effective Islamic character development strategy in semi-military vocational education.

This study aims to determine the understanding of students' mathematical concepts taught using the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) with a problem-based learning (PBM) approach with a heuristic approach; the effect of STAD learning with the PBM approach on students' understanding of mathematical concepts in terms of high and low Initial Mathematical Ability (KAM); the effect of STAD learning with a heuristic approach on students' understanding of mathematical concepts in terms of high and low KAM; the effect of the interaction between STAD learning (with the PBM approach and the heuristic approach) and the initial mathematical ability (high KAM and low KAM) on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This research was conducted at SDN 112233 Sidorejo, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency from October to December 2019. A sample of 44 people was taken by random sampling. The instruments for collecting data were the students' mathematical concept understanding test and the KAM test. The data analysis used the one way annova test, simple regression test, and two way annova test. The results of the analysis show that the students' understanding of mathematical concepts taught using STAD with the PBM approach is higher than that of the STAD with a heuristic approach; There is a positive effect of STAD learning with the PBM approach on students' understanding of mathematical concepts in terms of high and low KAM; there is a positive effect of STAD learning with a heuristic approach on students' understanding of mathematical concepts in terms of high and low KAM; There is a significant interaction effect between STAD learning (with the PBM approach and with the heuristic approach) and the initial mathematical ability (high KAM and low KAM) on students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

The purpose of the research conducted at Inabah 2 Putri is to find out how much influence individual counseling has on drug addicts, to find out how much influence the internalization of Islamic values has on drug addicts, and to find out how much influence individual counseling has on the internalization of Islamic values for drug addicts. The framework of thought used is individual counseling, internalization of Islamic values and drug addicts. Quantitative method with experimental approach. The results of the study show that 22% is the result of the influence of individual counseling (X1) on drug addicts. Furthermore, 19.2% is the result of the influence of internalizing Islamic values (X2) on drug addicts. And 19.2% is the result of the influence of individual counseling (X1) in the internalization of Islamic values (X2) against drug addicts.

This research is motivated by the lack of students' ability in understanding concepts so that it has an impact on students in learning mathematics. Because the ability to understand concepts is the basis of understanding principles and theories with the aim of making it easier for students to understand concepts in subsequent material in studying mathematics. One of the factors of the lack of students' ability to understand concepts is math anxiety which has a large influence on student learning processes, both at school and on the student's environment. This study aims to find out how students' conceptual understanding abilities are viewed from mathematics anxiety in the implementation of learning in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Mazo. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at Mazo 1 Public Middle School with a total of 35 research informants. Data collection techniques through written tests, student math anxiety questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it shows that there are students who have the ability to understand mathematical concepts with high anxiety, moderate and low anxiety. Students with high anxiety still cannot solve the test questions in a structured way due to a lack of focus and feeling a little anxious. students who are anxious are students who are good at completing test questions coherently, it's just that there are some that are not done. Students who are low on anxiety, students are able to solve test questions that are given in a structured way because students are calm and don't feel anxious when facing math problems, it's just that they can't finish up to the final result, so that this can have an impact on student learning. So in this case the ability to understand concepts with math anxiety is that the higher the level of students' math anxiety, the lower the students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. Conversely, the lower the students' math anxiety level, the higher the students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of interactive learning media (wordwall) on the understanding of basic mathematical concepts of grade IV students at SDN 1 Tebaban. This type of research is a quantitative research of experimental methods with a quasi-experimental design of pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study is class IV A and IV B which totals 35 students. The sample of this study uses a saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study uses observation sheets, questionnaire sheets and pretest and posttest test sheets. The data analysis techniques in this study include observation and questionnaire data analysis, descriptive analysis, normality test, variance homogeneity test and independent samples test. The results of the observation sheet showed that the students' understanding of basic mathematical concepts in the experimental class reached 75% ('Very Good'), higher than the control class which only reached 62.99% ('Good'). Based on the results of the questionnaire, the use of wordwall interactive media was proven to be more effective in improving students' understanding than mind mapping learning media and teaching aids in the control class, with 91% of students in the experimental class supporting the use of wordwalls, compared to 80% in the control class. The t-test showed a value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.02, so that the alternative hypothesis was accepted, indicating a significant influence of interactive learning media on the understanding of mathematical concepts of grade IV students at SDN 1 Tebaban.

Sampling was carried out using a simple random sampling technique. The sample in this study was students from class XE2 as the experimental class, totaling 33 people, and class XE4 as the control class, totaling 33 people. The research instrument used was a test of students' mathematical concept understanding abilities. The data analysis technique using the t-test obtained t_hitung=5,08 and t_tabel=1,67. While using Minitab Software obtained P_Value=0,000. Because t_hitung>t_tabel and P_Value<α with a significance level of α=0,05, H_0 is rejected. The results of the study are "There is an influence of the MURDER learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts." PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to identify the dimensions of service quality in the context of Islamic higher education (IHE); explain the determinant dimensions of overall perceived service quality (PSQ) according to students; and explains the difference in the level of quality felt by students in each dimension based on gender, year of study and level of education of students in Indonesia.Design/methodology/approachA survey method from 384 questionnaires collected from students in four major cities in Indonesia; 378 questionnaires were declared valid for explanatory analysis using SEM-PLS and t-test.FindingsThe new model called Islamic Higher Education Service Quality (i-HESQUAL) with seven dimensions of quality that are considered important by students i.e. teaching capability and competence of academic staff (TCC), reliability of service (ROS), reputation of university (REP), responsiveness of employees (RES), empathy of employees (EMP), internalization of Islamic values (IIV) and library service support (LSS). The dimensions that influence the overall PSQ are the IIV and LSS. In addition, students based on the year of study have differences in assessing the dimensions of quality, namely the dimensions of TCC, ROS, IIV, LSS, while the level of education also has differences, especially on the dimensions of ROS, REP and LSS.Research limitations/implicationsThis research was only carried out at four public Islamic universities, for that there is a need for further research in the form of longitudinal studies with different geographical samples e.g. in the perspective of private universities to generalize research results.Practical implicationsThe i-HESQUAL dimensions can be used by IHE managers to measure their performance according to students' perspectives. The two dimensions that determine the overall PSQ should be IHE's strategic advantages and the dimensions that do not affect the overall PSQ are feedback to identify weaknesses.Originality/valueThese findings contribute to PSQ research in the context of IHE, which operates on the values and culture that surrounds it (Islamic culture), while most of the previous research was conducted in the context of developed countries with a secular education system.

This quasi-experimental research aims to determine the effect of Think Pair Check (TPC) learning models on understanding of mathematical concepts in terms of cognitive style. A purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample of 54 students from a junior high school in Patamuan sub-district, Indonesia. The data were obtained from mathematical concept understanding tests and Group Embedded Figure Test (GEFT) to determine students' cognitive styles. Data were analyzed using t-test. The findings indicated that students who learned using TPC method had a better understanding of concepts than those learning using the conventional model. Furthermore, the TPC learning model positively influenced the understanding of mathematical concepts of students with the Field Independent cognitive style but had no influence on students with the Field Dependent cognitive style. Therefore, the TPC learning model can be used to improve the understanding of mathematical concepts, especially for students with the Field Independent cognitive style.

The aims of this study are: 1) to describe the ability to understand concepts through students' mathematical reasoning on the Cube and Block material; and 2) to determine the relationship between the mathematical reasoning abilities of MTs. students NW Senyiur with the ability to understand the concept of Cube and Block material. This research is a qualitative descriptive study conducted on 25 MTs. students NW Senyiur on the material of cubes and blocks. Data on students' mathematical reasoning abilities were collected through Mathematical Reasoning Tests (non-routine questions), while students' conceptual understanding abilities were collected through Concept Understanding Tests (routine questions). The two tests given each consist of 2 questions. In addition, interviews were conducted to collect more complete information from the sample that had been studied. Research data were analyzed by Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Test. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the average grade IX MTs. students NW Senyiur has good reasoning ability and conceptual understanding; and 2) there is no relationship between mathematical reasoning ability and concept understanding ability of grade IX MTs. students NW Senyiur on the material of cubes and blocks. The magnitude of the significant value that exceeds the provisions and the standard significance value is > 0.05, then there is no significant correlation (H0 is accepted). Thus, it can be concluded that, in this study, there is no relationship between mathematical reasoning abilities and students' conceptual understanding abilities.

One of the innovations that can be developed based on the problem of the learning angle created is a learning resource based on outdoor learning as an alternative learning media for students. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the use of PjBL Teaching Materials with Ethnomathematics Based Outdoor Learning. The sample consisted of 34 students from class VIII D with one group pre-test-post-test design. The results showed that the designed teaching materials were feasible to use. First, the data shows an N-gain coefficient, which indicates the effectiveness of teaching materials on students' mathematical communication. Other data collection shows that students understand the content of teaching materials. In conclusion, this teaching material makes students not only aware of the Pythagorean theorem material but also gives them a different learning atmosphere so that the material is imprinted more deeply in their memory. Objective: The Industry 4.0 era brings challenges and opportunities in education and entrepreneurship, particularly in technopreneurship, which combines technological innovation and entrepreneurship. However, the integration of Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, and sustainability into technopreneurship remains limited, both in research and curriculum. This study aims to develop a learning approach that integrates technology, entrepreneurship, and Islamic values to shape ethical technopreneurs who contribute to sustainable development. Method: This study employed a qualitative approach. Participants were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key patterns. Results: The study reveals that Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, and sustainability play a significant role in supporting ethical and spirituality-based technopreneurship. Their integration into the technopreneurship curriculum helps students develop both technical and moral competencies, supported by academic environments and external communities. Novelty: This study offers a distinctive framework that formally embeds Islamic values into technopreneurship education, positioning them as essential competencies rather than complementary ethics. In contrast to prior research that treats spirituality as external motivation, this model integrates values like amanah and maslahah within structured academic, mentorship, and community systems. It highlights the transformative potential of value-based innovation, despite persisting institutional challenges.

Background: Character development requires an interesting and relevant approach by developing an integrative model based on games and competitions that also instills Islamic values. Objective: This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of a game-based learning model combined with Islamic values in shaping the character of young children Methods: The research used a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation at the Hidayatul Mubtadi'in Islamic Kindergarten which was analyzed using Thematic Analysis. The research subjects consisted of 2 teachers and 41 students who were divided into two groups per class. Result: The learning model applied was proven to strengthen the character of cooperation, honesty and sportsmanship through game rules and reflection of Islamic values. The integration of the values ​​of trust, manners and caring also improves children's social skills. The main contribution of this research is the preparation of a structured model that combines games, competition, and the internalization of Islamic values, which has not previously been researched much in the PAUD context. Conclusion: This integrative model is effective in cultivating children's character that is in line with Islamic values, with the role of the teacher as the main facilitator. The research recommends further development in broader learning contexts and media.

This study aims to determine students' abilities in understanding mathematical concepts when solving mathematics problems on the topic of common tangents of circles, as viewed through Pirie and Kieren's Theory. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this research are 36 students of class XI.6 at SMA N 2 Semarang, with three students selected from each category of low, medium, and high abilities. The data collection technique used was a test. Subjects were analyzed based on indicators from Pirie and Kieren, namely Primitive knowing, Image making, Image having, Property noticing, Formalizing, Observing, Structuring, and Inventising. The study results show that students with low conceptual understanding abilities only met the indicators of restating concepts and classifying objects according to their properties, thus, they remain at the Image Having layer. Students with medium conceptual understanding abilities have reached the indicators of using, utilizing, and selecting specific operational procedures, thus, they remain at the Observing layer. Meanwhile, students with high conceptual understanding abilities have met all the indicators of conceptual understanding abilities but are still at the Structuring layer.

One of the goals of learning mathematics is to understand mathematics concepts.. However in practice the Grade 8 students of SMPN 6 Sawahlunto still have very little understanding of mathematical concepts. One of the efforts to improve understanding of mathematical concepts is to implement a team assisted individualization cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study was to find out whether students in class VIII SMPN 6 Sawahlunto who learned through direct instruction have a better understanding of mathematical concepts than students who learned through team assisted individualization models. This type of study is quasi-experimental and uses a non-equivalent post-test-only control group design. Learning tools are tests for understanding mathematical concepts. A t-test is used to test hypotheses. Based on the data analysis it was found that the students had a better understanding of the mathematical concepts taught in the team-assisted individually collaborative learning model compared to the students under the direct instruction. This study aims to analyze the mathematical concept understanding ability of seventh grade students at SMP Swasta Bhayangkari 3 Rantauprapat regarding the topic of two-dimensional quadrilaterals. The assessment of concept understanding focuses on determining the extent of students' abilities in solving problems related to mathematical concepts, using the following indicators: Understanding mathematical concepts includes the ability to define a concept both verbally and in writing, group objects based on certain properties, provide examples and counter-examples of a concept, present the concept in various forms of representation, and apply concepts or algorithms to solve problems. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, involving 24 students as research subjects. Data were collected through a concept understanding test consisting of 5 questions related to two-dimensional quadrilaterals. The results indicate that 8 students, or 33.3%, are categorized as having high understanding, 12 students, or 50%, are in the moderate category, and 4 students, or 16.6%, fall into the low category. Thus, the mathematical concept understanding ability of the students is considered to be quite good. The research results show that students' understanding of mathematical concepts still needs to be improved, especially in the ability to explain concepts, clarify the nature of objects, and present concepts in various representations.
