Digital Protection and Inheritance Path of Intangible Cultural Heritage based on Image Processing Algorithm

This study addresses the urgent need to preserve and transmit Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) in the face of global cultural homogenization and rapid modernization.The primary aim is to explore how digital technologies can be effectively utilized to safeguard and inherit ICH, ensuring that these cultural practices continue to thrive.The research employs a multi-faceted approach, including case studies, technological assessments, and expert interviews to analyze the application of digital technologies in preserving ICH.Specifically, the study investigates the use of digital tools such as 3D scanning, virtual reality (VR), and multimedia archives in documenting, storing, and disseminating cultural artifacts.By examining both successful and challenging implementations, the study provides a comprehensive overview of how these technologies can be applied in various cultural contexts.The findings highlight the significant advantages of digital technologies in ICH preservation, including their ability to create detailed records, enhance accessibility, and facilitate global dissemination.Specific examples include the use of VR in creating immersive experiences of cultural practices, and 3D scanning for preserving the intricacies of traditional crafts.These technologies not only ensure the preservation of ICH but also contribute to its dynamic transmission across generations and geographies.The study concludes that integrating digital technologies into ICH preservation strategies is not just beneficial but essential for the sustainability of cultural heritage in the digital age.The implications of this research extend to policymakers, cultural institutions, and technologists, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts in developing and implementing digital preservation strategies that respect and enhance the value of ICH.

This study explores the participation and pathways of vocational education in the cultivation of talent for intangible cultural heritage. As the protection of intangible cultural heritage receives increasing attention, vocational education, as an important talent training system, carries the mission of inheritance and innovation. The article first analyzes the current status of vocational education's involvement in the protection of intangible cultural heritage, highlighting issues such as resource shortages, insufficient curriculum design, and low student engagement. It then proposes pathways for exploration, including innovations in curriculum and teaching models, interdisciplinary course development, practical teaching design, school-enterprise cooperation, and social participation, offering feasible suggestions to enhance the role of vocational education in the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. By establishing policy support and evaluation mechanisms, the aim is to promote vocational education's better service to the protection and development of intangible cultural heritage.

In the context of the rapid development of digital technology, the Internet and other media are used to strengthen the promotion and protection of intangible cultural heritage, and strive to promote the inheritance and development of China’s intangible cultural heritage. This article summarizes the connotation of Gan embroidery culture, summarizes the development problems faced by the current development of Gan embroidery, and explores the feasibility of Gan embroidery art’s innovative ideas and digital redesign in the digital age. Intangible cultural heritage encompasses a nation’s traditional culture and wisdom, offering a profound reflection of the lives and thoughts of its predecessors. This heritage manifests in diverse forms, including artistic performances, music, handicrafts, and festivals. Despite its cultural significance, the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage face numerous challenges in modern society. These challenges are exacerbated by rapid urbanization, globalization, and the decline of traditional practices. Previous studies have predominantly explored these issues from cultural and historical perspectives, often overlooking the critical economic factors that influence heritage preservation. This article seeks to fill this gap by examining the difficulties and problems faced by intangible cultural heritage through a comprehensive lens that includes cultural, economic, and social aspects. By analyzing these multifaceted challenges, we aim to uncover the underlying economic dynamics that hinder effective heritage preservation. Moreover, this research will propose innovative solutions to address economic challenges and enhance the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. Ultimately, this article aims to provide new perspectives and positive impacts on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, highlighting the importance of an economic approach to its preservation and transmission to future generations.

The protection of intangible cultural heritage is not the static preservation of sites, but the recording and dissemination of culture, which is the continuation and presentation of cultural memory. The intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities in southeast Chongqing is rich in cultural memory, which is one of the best carriers for the transmission and inheritance of local ethnic culture. Driven by the rapid change of media technology, the memory of national intangible cultural heritage has been reconstructed, which is typical of the times. The use of media technology provides convenience for the dissemination of national intangible cultural heritage, but it also brings many challenges. From the perspective of media memory, this paper finds that in the transmission of ethnic intangible cultural heritage in southeast Chongqing, media memory originates from the individual memory of non-genetic heirs, which is the "megaphone" of individual memory and the "safe box" of cultural memory, but there are problems in the effective interaction and connection between the three. This paper puts forward the function mechanism of media memory in the protection of intangible cultural heritage, and then proposes to explore the practical path of activating and spreading the cultural heritage in Southeast Chongqing from the perspective of media memory, and finally realize the protection and inheritance of national intangible cultural memory.

The protection of intangible cultural heritage is of great importance, but traditional display methods are limited and difficult to attract young groups. The rapid development of meta-universe technology has great potential in the field of culture, which brings new opportunities for the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. This paper focuses on the virtual display platform of intangible cultural heritage in meta-universe, which covers the platform design concept and architecture, related technology application, digitization and creation of intangible cultural heritage, functional module implementation and operation, and promotion strategy, etc. Through the use of various technological means, such as VR, AR, 3D modelling, blockchain, etc., and the construction of the platform through multi-source data collection, storytelling and narrative, the platform realizes the functions of virtual showroom browsing, interactive experience, social sharing and other functions. The platform helps to increase the popularity of intangible cultural heritage, promote heritage and innovation, expand the audience, provide innovative ideas and effective ways to protect intangible cultural heritage, and is of far-reaching significance in the field of cultural heritage.

Intangible cultural heritage has been passed down from tradition to the present day, and as a living culture in the folklore, it plays an important role as a carrier for the transmission of national spirit and Chinese emotion, and also plays a pivotal role in maintaining national unity, social development and prosperity. However, with the development of the economy and the impact of various trends, the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage is facing unprecedented challenges and dilemmas. In this paper, we analyze the current dilemmas and challenges faced by the Yugur intangible cultural heritage through field research and a combination of questionnaires and interviews, and propose how to realize the living heritage and dissemination of intangible cultural heritage in the new media context.

This paper explores ways to preserve the intangible cultural heritage of Korean sports inherited by colleges and universities through digital technology and RBM neurons. The non-heritage information and images collected through the method of data collection and data storage are presented in 3D with the help of a neural network. The protection of intangible cultural heritage is achieved by using data restoration technology to trace the past and break the limitations of time and space. Using artificial intelligence technology, a database of intangible cultural heritage can be built, and different types of intangible cultural heritage can be divided using a neural network. The characteristics of Korean sports culture are summarized by analyzing intangible cultural items related to Korean sports. The results show that the feature extraction method incorporating RBM has the highest extraction rate of strong and healthy in sports, with an extraction rate of 0.8, the extraction rate of mighty features is 0.75, and the extraction rate of strength degree of sports is 0.75. The intangible culture of Korean sports is promoted and developed through this paper’s research to a certain extent.

Non-professional groups, consisting of members gathering together out of the same hobby, have long been deemed as auxiliary power in the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage (ICH). Being widely considered as less important than professional groups, non-professional ones seem to mostly function like governments, IGOs, NGOs, among other things, to indirectly help professionals inherit ICH almost by practicing this heritage as a way of dissemination to build a better social environment friendly towards ICH to live well. However, their role in the direct and faithful inheritance of ICH can be underestimated, or even ignored. In this paper, China’s Kunqu Opera is taken as an example, one professional group (Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe) and one non-professional group (Shanghai Kunqu Study Society) are chosen to do some comparative analyses in pronunciation, melody, literary form of lyrics, and performing scenes of this art. It is concluded that even though not living off this art, non-professional groups could inherit some traditional factors of Kunqu Opera to a larger degree than professional ones, especially in pronunciation and melody. And one major reason can be summarized that non-professional groups, who cherish the art’s tradition heavily, don’t need to cater to the mass-market and most modern audience, who are highly influenced by modernization and globalization so that they can preserve these traditional factors carefully by studying, practicing as well as imparting them to other amateurs seriously. Thus, paying more attention to their role in the inheritance of ICH is not only sensible but also essential.

Cultural heritage is not limited to material manifestations; indeed it also includes intangible, living and fragile expressions, such as oral traditions, performing arts, festive events, or the knowledge and skills necessary to produce traditional crafts. This essay focuses on the issue of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, especially in the framework of the French and Italian national cultural policies. In particular, it begins by following the evolution of the concept of heritage towards intangible cultural heritage and examining the principal historical events, programs and debates that in 2003 led to the adoption of a new international legal instrument: the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Then, considering the main changes of today's global economy, this study underlines the importance of intangible heritage from an economic, cultural and social perspective. Finally, the article seeks to examine different ways to implement the 2003 Convention at the national level. Traditional models of protection, valorization, and safeguarding need to be rethought on the basis of the specific characteristics of intangible heritage and of the needs of individuals, groups and communities that create, maintain and pass cultural heritage onto future generations. Two case studies, the French model and the Italian one, will be illustrated to identify the main measures necessary to implement an effective policy for the safeguarding of this fragile heritage.

Saudi Arabia boasts a diverse and abundant cultural heritage that reflects a fusion of pre-Islamic and Islamic civilizations, serving as a precious legacy for future generations. Confronted with the challenges arising from globalization and rapid development, preserving intangible cultural heritage has become increasingly challenging, particularly in the absence of comprehensive heritage policies. The initial steps toward conservation were taken in 1972 when legislation was enacted to protect historical and cultural sites. However, it was not until 2014 that a new law was introduced to address the gaps left by the 1972 law. Unfortunately, this legal protection predominantly centered on tangible aspects of cultural heritage, leaving the equally important intangible cultural heritage neglected and unprotected. This study aims to evaluate the existing legal mechanisms in Saudi Arabia for the preservation and protection of intangible cultural heritage. It identifies the existing deficiencies and obstacles in the current cultural heritage framework regarding the preservation of intangible cultural heritage in Saudi Arabia. Our analysis focuses on how Saudi Arabia aligns with the principles and guidelines established by the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The present research, supported by research reviews, inquiries, and personal assessments, determines the primary policy, socio-economic, ecological, and cultural motorists of conflicts stemming from the interplay of recreational fishing a significant shipping activity in Mediterranean maritime safeguarded areas and other coastal consumers. Intelligent media is a new media form with the comprehensive application of mobile Internet technology, Internet of Things technology, big data technology, and artificial intelligence technology to realize high human-machine interaction and collaboration. The functions of information production, information experience, information push, information storage, and information utilization are realized through intelligent media and intelligent platforms. The application of smart technology builds a new form of communication, making the transmission of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) more efficient and accurate. It can promote ICH's more effective dissemination and higher quality utilization through intelligent media technology by establishing a larger cultural communication platform, stimulating wider cultural consumption, and transforming cultural resources. ICH Fisheries Management (ICHFM) is an effective carrier of national spirit and emotion, representing the nation's past, present, and future, and is the core of social and cultural development. The protection and inheritance of ICH are related to the continuation and development of Chinese culture, and it is an essential cultural project that is urgently needed. As one of the products of human civilization, the ICHFM is facing a complex situation of coexisting challenges and opportunities in contemporary times, which needs to respond to the significant changes in living environment and values, and at the same time, it meets with the awakening of human awareness of cultural diversity and the improvement of cultural heritage protection ability. Therefore, researchers and decision-makers should have a positive and advanced attitude towards technology innovation under the background of intangible protection and inheritance of all kinds of innovation practice, especially intangible knowledge popularization, culture, and social education transmission behavior, which should be encouraged and emerging technology, communication channels, consumption forms, explore the intangible spread in the contemporary digital potential value, focus on intangible digital transmission present "video and experience" "elements of open source and digital potential" "digital survival and virtual community inheritance" trend. The findings indicate that the persistent contradictions resulting from the conflict originate from divergent notions of history, resource adoption, and conservation.

This paper explores innovative development and pathway innovation in the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) through the utilization of modern internet education technologies. Taking Tujia brocade weaving as a case study, we establish a resource repository and develop virtual reality (VR) scenes to propose a conceptual framework where virtual reality technology serves the “vision” of intangible cultural heritage inheritance. This framework aims to construct a digital innovation “model” for the preservation of intangible cultural heritage. The paper deliberates on the feasibility, effectiveness, and innovativeness of combining virtual interactive technology with intangible cultural heritage protection.

As an important part of cultural heritage, the protection of intangible cultural heritage is of great significance for the promotion of traditional culture and national image. In this paper, we propose a novel digital protection method of intangible cultural heritage. Firstly, we analyze main characteristics of the Intangible cultural heritage, which contains products and processes of a culture which can be preserved and passed on through a long history. Intangible cultural heritage is widely distributed all over the world. Secondly, we carefully analyze the augmented reality technology, which can greatly improve user experiences. Thirdly, we discuss how to construct the system for the digital protection of intangible cultural heritage. Particularly, our proposed system contains three components: 1) Intelligent terminal, 2) Fusion of cultural digital content and realistic scene video images, and 3) Object target tracking in realistic scene. Finally, we conclude the whole paper and point our future works.

The protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage is not only the responsibility of the government and the cultural sector, but also based on the "living culture" level to unite the strength of the whole society to protect intangible cultural heritage in all aspects, and carry out effective inheritance and development. Vocational education is an important base for the inheritance and development of non-heritage, which can train excellent talents for non-heritage inheritance in a standardised, scientific and sustainable way. As the top layer of vocational education, higher vocational colleges and universities should give full play to their unique advantages in the process of cultural inheritance of non-heritage and cultivation of inheritance talents, and continuously expand the field of integration with the local non-heritage industry, so as to fundamentally solve the problem of shortage of talents for the inheritance of non-heritages and difficulty in cultivation. The article introduces the current situation of the cultivation of intangible cultural heritage inheritance talents in higher vocational colleges and universities, analyses the existing problems, and puts forward the countermeasures for the cultivation of intangible cultural heritage inheritance talents.
