Abstract
From 1996 to 1999, he developed medical laser systems with Aesculap-Meditec (now ZEISS Meditec).In 2003 he received a PhD in physics from the Free University Berlin.For his degree, he did research on ultrashort and ultra-intense laser pulses at the Max-Born-Institute Berlin.
