This paper presents the experiment in the transmission of the acoustic OFDM signal through the air channel, herewith transmitting device is static and speed (frequency) of receiving device is changed in accordance with the fixed law. In the framework of the experiment approbation of the author’s algorithms of OFDM signals frequency synchronization was performed. Timing accuracy characteristics, achieved while applying author’s algorithms of “weighted summation” and “adjacent peaks”, were compared, the computations were performed using matched filters bank as a timing accuracy method. Here author’s synchronization algorithms are based on method of matched filters bank.It is shown that it is possible to estimate varying Doppler scale factor OFDM block, involving the presented algorithms. For this purpose, the standard errors of Doppler scale estimates for each algorithm were analyzed. The results of simulation study, considering signal multipath propagation in hydroacoustic channel with different Doppler scale factors of propagation paths, are presented. In the performance of a task of synchronization based on method of matched filters bank there occurs an issue related to absence of the peak value among maximum values of the responses of the filters. While applying author’s algorithms, this issue is resolved using preliminary estimation of the mean value near maximum value of response. It is shown, that “weighted summation” and “adjacent peaks” algorithms proved their productivity in the framework of experiment based on varying of the Doppler scale factors during the block. It is shown, that it is possible to achieve 4 times more accurate results using author’s algorithms, taking in account an experimental correction; and it is possible to achieve 2 times more accurate results using author’s algorithms, without taking in account an experimental correction. This result corresponds to the result, achieved with simulation modeling. Herewith the accuracy of Doppler scale estimation, based on author’s algorithms, exceeds the theoretical limit of accuracy of the basic approach, relied on bank of matched filters.
