Many ontologies have been developed recently, and evaluation is important for researchers or users when searching ontologies needed in their work. Ontology evaluation also is important phase of ontology development, refinement or evolution process. Automatically-developed ontologies as a result of ontology learning also need from evaluation. So, ontology evaluation is important both for selecting ontologies, meeting some requirements, and as a part of ontology life cycle. In this paper we propose deep analysis of ontology evaluation and discuss how multilingualism affects ontology evaluation. We classify ontology evaluation approaches, methods and metrics according to several dimensions. Our analysis and conclusions will be helpful for development of good ontologies and for finding or selection of needed ontologies.

Personal memories composed of digital pictures are very popular at the moment. To retrieve these media items annotation is required. During the last years, several approaches have been proposed in order to overcome the image annotation problem. This paper presents our proposals to address this problem. Automatic and semi-automatic learning methods for semantic concepts are presented. The automatic method is based on semantic concepts estimated using visual content, context metadata and audio information. The semi-automatic method is based on results provided by a computer game. The paper describes our proposals and presents their evaluations.

Photovoltaic-storage integrated systems, which combine distributed photovoltaics with energy storage, play a crucial role in distributed energy systems. Evaluating the health status of photovoltaic-storage integrated energy stations in a reasonable manner is essential for enhancing their safety and stability. To achieve an accurate and continuous assessment of the health status of photovoltaic-storage integrated energy stations, a dynamic evaluation method is proposed in this study. This method integrates both subjective and objective characteristics. Initially, considering the evaluation needs of low-carbon operation and health status for photovoltaic-storage integrated energy stations, a comprehensive health status evaluation system is developed. The significance of each indicator is subjectively analyzed, while also considering objective characteristics and sensitivity of indicators. The integration of subjective and objective characteristics is achieved using principles from game theory. Subsequently, through the establishment of the Grey-TOPSIS evaluation model, both positive and negative correlations of the health status of photovoltaic-storage integrated energy stations are determined, resulting in the derivation of a health status vector. Furthermore, the introduction of time-weight vectors and the incorporation of a time dimension enable dynamic evaluation and the comprehensive observation of health status. Finally, the scientific validity and effectiveness of the proposed evaluation method are demonstrated through practical examples, with comparisons made to traditional evaluation methods. The results clearly indicate that this method offers higher sensitivity when evaluating the health of photovoltaic-storage integrated energy stations.

Previous studies of operating performance of listed companies usually adopt static comprehensive evaluation method but not dynamic evaluation method. Besides, the evaluation information is aggregated in a simple weighted method, without integration of management tool. Considering these two deficiencies, this paper puts forward a dynamic incentive evaluation model and applies it in the comprehensive evaluation of the operating performance of listed companies. The paper first introduces dynamic incentive evaluation model, and then carries out an empirical study, using the annual reports data (2005-2009) of 13 refrigeration and air-conditioning industry listed companies. The results indicate that, compared with the evaluation results of traditional static method and dynamic method, the evaluation results of dynamic incentive model can reflect the operating performance of listed companies more objectively and comprehensively. Thus this model achieves good evaluation effect and has practical value.

Dynamic evaluation method of water-sealed gas for ultra-deep buried fractured tight gas reservoir in Kuqa Depression, Tarim Basin, China

Low back pain of caregiver has serious problem in welfare field. Transfer motion is thought as a cause of the low back pain, and it is necessary to reduce the lumbar burden. Also practical quantification method of lumbar burden is required strongly. This study aims to develop a practical and dynamic evaluation method of lumber burden by measuring surface muscle potential of the Erector spine muscle. This study delas with transfer motion and divide it into three motions, "lifting motion", "rotation a motion" and "unloading motion". Experiments have been conducted to show that "lifting motion" and "rotation a motion" can be evaluated by the surface muscle potential of the erector spine muscle by previous studies. This paper focuses on the "unloading motion" and, the relationship between the load and the "surface muscle potential of the erector spine muscle" is confirmed by experiments. It is also shown that the lumbar burden during "unload motion" is possible to be evaluated by using the surface muscle potential. In addition, this study evaluates, whether dynamic evaluation by using the proposed evaluation method is possible. Because caregivers are required to slow down during the "unoad motion", inertial force increass the load during decelerated motion. For an example, a dynamic evaluation in the case of deceleration during the "unloading motion" were confirmed by experiments. Conducting experiments, we found that the value of the potential of the surface of the erector spine was increased during slow down motion. This result indicates that the lumbar burden can be increased by decelerated motion. This study showed the effectiveness of the dynamic evaluation method by surface muscle potential.

Evaluation function is one of the core components of the computer game system. The traditional way to build evaluation function is usually to use a number of features on the board extracted by human, according to experience and game rules, which gives a set of parameters, and design a static linear evaluation function to calculate the evaluation value of current situation. This paper proposes a method to dynamically adjust and optimize the parameters in the evaluation function by least mean squares, and implements a dynamic evaluation function. Experiments based on Surakarta chess show that the method of dynamic evaluation is effective.

Development and evaluation of an ontology for guiding appropriate antibiotic prescribing

In this study, we put forward multilayer behavior evaluation indicator system and dynamic multistage evaluation method based on individual advantage. From the perspective of best to each evaluated entrepreneur to determine each object's evaluation indicator weight vector that reflects advantages and disadvantages, one stage comprehensive evaluation method is put forward. Each stage weight is driven from individual comprehensive value with the thought of best to each entrepreneur, so to rank all the objects on multistage. It is helpful to encourage entrepreneur bearing environment society responsibility and sustainable development. Through calculation example, feasibility and effectiveness of the method is proved.

This paper introduces a new method for evaluating dynamic stress caused by rotor-stator interaction (RSI) in Francis turbines and pump turbines. Traditional methods for dynamic stress evaluation using fluid-structure interaction (FSI) analysis are accurate but time-consuming and less practical for iterative design optimization. The proposed method utilizes FSI analysis to quickly assess dynamic stress by replacing transient response analysis with frequency response analysis using single-frequency excitation. The effectiveness of this method is validated through comprehensive analysis and comparison with on-site stress measurements, demonstrating its accuracy and efficiency for practical use. Mapping the unsteady computational fluid dynamics (CFD) result as the excitation force is crucial for obtaining precise analysis results, as it accurately represents the hydraulic load distribution caused by RSI. This ensures the dynamic stress and vibration characteristics of the turbine runner are evaluated with high accuracy and improving the reliability of the design.

Ontology Evaluation: An Example of Delay Analysis

With the reform and development of education, there is a clear gap between our country’s current evaluation theories, methods and systems and the requirements of quality education, which has become a bottleneck restricting the overall implementation of quality education. Therefore, explore and try to change the evaluation function, evaluation method, evaluation technology and other content, establishing a developmental mathematics teaching evaluation system that embodies the theory of quality education is an objective requirement for the overall implementation of quality education. The purpose of this article is to research and design the dynamic evaluation algorithm of classroom mathematics teaching. This article takes the city’s key teaching reform subject “Research and Practice on the Dynamic Evaluation Method of Classroom Mathematics Teaching” as the research background to develop a classroom math teaching quality evaluation system. On the basis of inheriting the original, feasible and effective classroom mathematics teaching evaluation methods and means, this paper establishes a set of classroom mathematics teaching evaluation system structure, and uses the network-based computer evaluation system as a tool to complete the collection and arrangement of evaluation data And analysis process, provide a random evaluation platform for each evaluator, record all evaluation activities and evaluation results of the evaluator, and provide it to the evaluators for evaluation information query. This article gives a comprehensive evaluation method for teachers’ mathematics teaching effect, which can be both quantitative and qualitative. It can give a comprehensive evaluation of the combination of quantity and sex to each link of teacher’s mathematics teaching according to the change of evaluation information. Experimental research shows that teachers with a Ph.D. degree in language behavior are about 12% higher than those with a master’s degree, and the proportion of classroom silence and technology usage is lower than that of teachers with a master’s degree.

Evaluating an Information Technology (IT) based research and development project from an end-user's perspective is necessary in order to discover whether or not the outcomes of the project are successful. However, it is not straightforward to design and implement a generic user evaluation methodology that can be applied to a large-scale collaborative integrated research and development project. In this article, we share our experience based on the research evaluation carried out in a large-scale integrated ICT research project - The HUMBOLDT project. The project develops IT tools and services for cross-border geospatial data harmonization, which are applied to nine different application scenarios. A novel user-oriented evaluation methodology, namely - Criteria Indicators and Metrics (CIM) - is defined and utilized for the evaluation of the project research outcomes. The user evaluation results reveal the extent to which the research and development objectives of the project are achieved, and also demonstrate the benefits and limitations of the evaluation methodology. The results of this article can be usefully applied to other collaborative research projects in a variety of domains. © The Author 2012. Published by Oxford University Press. All rights reserved.

Two-level semantics and abstract interpretation

Today there is increasing emphasis on knowledge exchange (KE), the movement of knowledge and expertise amongst diverse groups to enhance research uptake, use, and impact in healthcare, government, and community settings. Library and information science (LIS) professionals are central actors in KE though community engagement, scholarly communication, literacy, and cultural heritage initiatives, but (how) is this work formally documented and evaluated? Through interviews with 24 information professionals working in varied settings, we considered how KE activities fit into the current library assessment and evaluation landscape. Using thematic analysis, we identified challenges with placing this work within current assessment practices and evaluation frameworks and showing its value, as well as a desire for alternative, more dynamic assessment and evaluation methods. We discuss these findings with respect to previous research in LIS and KE more broadly to consider professional and organizational implications.
