Enhancing Creativity of Generation Z Through Project-Based Learning

The application of the learning model is an operational step to achieving maximum learning goals. Based on the results of the author's observation on Indonesian Language subjects, especially in the field of writing skills, the Report on Observation Results (LHO) is often found to be a problem, students find it difficult to make sentences and paragraphs of LHO text. This is because the teacher often implements an inappropriate learning model, so students have not been able to fully understand the concept of the LHO text. The selection of creative and innovative learning methods and models can influence the ability of students to construct their knowledge well. The application of creative and innovative learning models can also be developed from a local wisdom in each region, for example the local wisdom of Bawi Kuwu folklore in Central Kalimantan. Folklore Bawi Kuwu can be modified into a learning model by paying attention to the cultural value of the story. The Bawi Kuwu (BK) learning model is a group learning model based on the cultural value of folklore in Central Kalimantan and the collaboration between the concept of cooperative jigsaw learning models and peer teaching. The application of the Bawi Kuwu learning pattern in writing the Observation Results Text is very suitable to be applied because in its application the students in the group try to construct their knowledge and convey it to a student in his group with the guidance of the teacher.

This study aims to determine the Effect of Using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes of Grade IV Students at UPTD SD Negeri 125549. The design of this study was pre-Experimental with the form of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this study was all students of grade IV-B UPTD SD Negeri 125549 totaling 20 students. The hypothesis in this study is, (1) there is an effect of the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the learning outcomes of grade IV students at UPTD SD Negeri 125549 (Ha), (2) there is no effect of the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the learning outcomes of grade IV students at UPTD SD Negeri 125549 (Ho). Data collection was carried out by giving pretest and posttest questions to students. Data were analyzed using the normality test (Shapiro-Wilk) and the score increase test (N-Gain). The results showed that the average pretest score of students was 43 with a completion rate of 20%, which increased to 83 with a completion rate reaching 90% in the posttest. The results of the normality analysis showed that the pretest data had a significant value of 0.135 more than 0.05 and the posttest data had a significant value of 0.349 more than 0.05 so that the results of the normality analysis had normally distributed data, and an average N-Gain score of 0.7163 showed a high increase category, with learning effectiveness of 71.6262%.

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in science subjects at SMPN 4 Pariaman. For this reason, in the teaching process it is necessary to use appropriate learning models. One learning model that can be used is the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of implementing the PjBL learning model on the learning outcomes of class VII students at SMPN 4 Pariaman in the subjects of Ecology and Indonesian Biodiversity. This research uses a quasi-experimental type of research with a non-equivalent control group design. The research population was class VII students of SMPN 4 Pariaman TP.2023/2024, with a purposive sampling technique. Class VII.1 was chosen as the experimental class and class VII.2 as the control class. The experimental class uses the PjBL model, while the control class uses the conventional model. The instruments used were observation sheets on the implementation of the PjBL model and objective test questions adapted to the KKTP on Indonesian Ecology and Biodiversity material. The data obtained was analyzed and prerequisite tests and hypothesis tests were carried out. The results of the posttest value hypothesis test using the t test show tcount of 8.13 and ttable 2.00. The data shows tcount > ttable so that H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a significant difference between the average posttest scores of experimental class and control class students after being given different treatment. It can be concluded that providing treatment by applying the PjBL model has an influence on student learning outcomes in Indonesian Ecology and Biodiversity Material for class VII SMPN 4 Pariaman.

The research with the aim to know the difference of metacognitive and scientific writing skill of students at ecology topic in biology instruction learned by project-based learning (PjBL) and guided discovery learning (GD) models in class X Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) Al-Wasliyah has been done. This research is quasi experiment designed as nonequivalent pretest-postest control group design. Reseach sample was determined by cluster random sampling. Class XA was taught with a project-based learning model and XB class with guided discovery learning model. The research instrument used questionnaire for metacognitive skill and description test for scientific writing skill. Data analysis was done by using t student test. The research results showed that there was significant difference of metacognitive skills of students who taught by project-based learning and guided discovery models (tcount = 2.05; P = 0.04) and there was also significant difference of scientific writing skill of students who taught by the project-based learning and guided discovery models (tcount = 2.21; P = 0.03). The research result recommends the implementation of project-based learning model at ecology topic in biology learning process in order to improve the metacognitive and scientific writing skills of the Indonesia students.

This study aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Models on Students' Mathematical Communication Ability. The population in this study were all 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sukorejo in the 2021/2022 academic year. Samples were taken randomly as many as 3 classes, namely class A, B and D as the control class and the experimental class with simple random sampling technique. The research design used is Posttest-Only Control Design. The data collection used in this research is by observing, documenting, and giving written tests. The results of this study state that (1) There are differences in students' mathematical communication skills in learning mathematics using Problem Based Learning (PBL), Project Based Learning (PjBL) and conventional models. (2) Students' mathematical communication skills in Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning models are better than conventional learning models. (3) Students' mathematical communication skills in the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model are better than the conventional learning model. (4) There is no difference in students' mathematical communication skills in the Project Based Learning (PjBL) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) models.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PBL) learning model and the descriptive text writing skills of class IX G students of SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Hulu, Ketapang Regency. The background of this study is based on the low writing skills of students, especially in writing descriptive texts that require creative thinking skills, language mastery, and structural accuracy. The Project Based Learning model was chosen because it is considered capable of increasing active student involvement, fostering a sense of responsibility, and developing critical and creative thinking skills through project-based learning activities. The method used is correlational research with a quantitative approach. The study population included all class IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Hulu, and the sample was determined by simple random sampling, namely class IX G, which consisted of 31 students. Data were collected through a questionnaire to measure the level of PBL implementation and a writing test to assess descriptive text writing skills. Data analysis was carried out using normality and linearity tests using statistical software. The results showed that the implementation of the PBL learning model was in the high category with an average value of 3.66 on a scale of 1–4. Students' descriptive text writing skills were also classified as good to very good, with scores ranging from 75 to 90. The linearity test showed a significance value of p = 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant linear relationship between the implementation of PBL and descriptive text writing skills. The Deviation from Linearity value of 0.372 (>0.05) indicates that the relationship is consistent and does not deviate from the linear pattern. Therefore, it can be concluded that the better the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model, the higher the students' descriptive text writing skills. This model is effective in creating an active, collaborative, and meaningful learning environment, while simultaneously enhancing students' critical thinking skills and creativity in Indonesian language learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the project-based learning (PjBL) model compared to the cooperative learning (CL) model in improving the critical thinking skills and chemistry self-efficacy of class 10 students simultaneously and consecutively. This quasi-experimental study with a post-test-only control group design was conducted at Public Senior High School in Yogyakarta. The research sample consisted of 65 students from an experimental group of class 10 A 4, totaling 33 students, and a control group of class 10 A 1, totaling 32 students, obtained through cluster random sampling techniques. The instruments used were critical thinking ability tests and self-confidence questionnaires. Before being used, the instruments were tested for content and empirical validity, and normality tests and multivariate outlier tests were carried out, followed by unidimensional assumption tests, parameter invariance, and local independence. The experimental group was taught using the PjBL model, while the control group was taught using the CL model. Critical Thinking Skill Fest (CTST) and Chemistry Self-Efficacy Scale (CSES) were applied as post-tests only to students in both groups. One-way multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) and post hoc test between subjects (Tukey Test) showed that applying the PjBL model was significantly better than applying the CL model on students' critical thinking skills and chemistry self-efficacy simultaneously and individually. The effectiveness of the PjBL model on students' critical thinking skills and chemistry self-efficacy simultaneously and individually is in the moderate category compared to the CL model. This research provides actionable insights into the advantages of implementing PjBL to improve critical thinking and self-efficacy among students. This research can serve as a reference for future research exploring the effectiveness of PjBl learning models in other subjects or educational levels.

In an effort to achieve the development of students' critical thinking skills in elementary school science learning, various innovative learning models can be used, one of which is the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The PjBL model is a learning method that can improve critical thinking skills through problem solving. This type of research is a quantitative meta-analysis study. The meta-analysis study aims to determine how big the effect of the PjBL model is on students' critical thinking skills in elementary school science learning? The collection of articles using the publish or perish application with the keywords project based learning model, critical thinking, elementary school science learning as many as 200 articles and 12 theses. Articles that meet the inclusion criteria are analyzed by calculating the effect size of each journal and thesis. The average effect size analysis of 0.59 is in the moderate category. The PjBL model has an effect on elementary school students' critical thinking skills with r RE = 0.59 in the moderate category. This shows that the application of the PjBL model has an effect on students' critical thinking skills in elementary school science learning. PjBL-based science learning allows students to apply and develop theories, skills, and techniques to solve problems. PjBL enriches students' learning experiences and knowledge, providing more meaningful education in innovative learning

This research aims to obtain a clearer picture of how PBL can be implemented effectively in social studies learning in elementary schools, and can provide input for educational policy makers in formulating policies that support the implementation of innovative learning models and in accordance with dynamic curriculum demands. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. This approach was chosen because it is suitable for measuring the effectiveness of implementing the Project-Based Learning (PBL) learning model in improving student learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects. The research results show that the t test results show that the calculated t value (4.321) is greater than the t table (2.001) with a p-value 0.05. Meanwhile, the results of critical thinking, collaboration and creativity skills experienced a significant increase after implementing PBL, with an average increase of 16.7 to 17.9 points. This indicates that there is a statistically significant difference between the learning outcomes of students who use the PBL model and those who use conventional learning methods. Therefore, it can be concluded that the PBL learning model is more effective in improving students' social studies learning outcomes.

The project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is a learning model that identifies, through research, real-world problems, from local to global, and develops solutions using evidence to support claims, offers solutions using multimodal approach to a presentation based on a set of 21st century skills. This research aims to analyze the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model based on video content in learning the basic concepts of science for students. This descriptive research uses phenomenological approach, which is a study that describes the meaning of individuals regarding their experience of a concept or phenomenon. The data collection techniques are conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The interactive analysis model from Matthew B Miles and Hubermen is used for data analysis. The model technically consists of 4 (four) main phases: data collection, data reduction or simplification, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The analysis results show that the implementation of the PjBl learning model is effective, as seen from the students activities which closely complies to the steps. In addition, students are more creative, active, and innovative in learning science and show more confidence. Students are also more independent in learning about the topic they are interested in and becoming tutors for their friends

Children's creativity, especially in combining colors, shapes, and textures, as well as their ability to experiment and explore, is not yet optimal. This problem arises due to inappropriate and less interesting learning methods. This research aims to analyze the effect of applying the project-based learning (PjBL) model on increasing creativity in early childhood. This research uses quantitative methods with a pre-experimental design in the form of a pre-test and a post-test for one group. The research population was 30 children, with a sample of 15 children selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through observation using validated guidelines. Hypothesis testing was performed using nonparametric analysis, Wilcoxon test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed a significant increase in creativity in children, with the average score increasing from 23.93 in the pre-test to 49.07 in the post-test. Statistical analysis shows a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05), indicating that applying the PjBL learning model has a positive effect on the creativity of young children. These results reflect that children's ability to combine visual elements creatively, solve problems in a simple way, and experiment increased after applying the PjBL model. This research concludes that PjBL can be an innovative solution in supporting the development of creativity in early childhood, especially in the context of learning centered on exploration and direct experience. These results recommend the widespread use of PjBL to increase children's creativity in various early childhood education institutions.

The collaborative creativity learning (CCL) model is a collaborative-based scientific creativity learning to improve scientific creativity, science process skills, and collaborative skills of the junior high school students. The purpose of this research is to improve science process skills of junior high school in physics learning through the implementation of CCL model. This research used one group pre-test and post-test design toward 144 students of State Junior High School 2 Jember and State Junior High School 3 Jember (Jember, Indonesia) academic year 2017/2018. The student’s science process skills were measured by using Science Process Skills Instrument (SPSI) with indicators of formulating problems, formulating the hypothesis, identifying variables, formulating the operational definition of variables, designing the data table, carrying out the experiment, analysing the data, formulating the conclusions. The data analysis technique used the Wilcoxon test, n-gain, and Mann-Whitney U test. The results show that: (1) The average post-test score was in the medium category, (2) There is improvement of student’s science process skills at α = 5%, (3) N-gain average score of student’s science process skills was in medium category, and (4) There is no difference (consistent) n-gain on student’s science process skills in all groups. Therefore the CCL model has proven to be effective to improve the science process skills of junior high school in physics learning. The implication of this research is that CCL model can be used as a solution to improve science process skills of junior high school in physics learning.

Teaching materials for Sekolah Penggerak should be prepared based on a creative thinking learning model such as project-based learning (PjBL). However, based on the needs and situation of teachers towards the implementation of PjBL-based learning, implementation of PjBL in learning is still low, since the teachers in Padang need the advance training of preparation in PjBL learning material. The Community service activities have been carried out to provide experienced chemistry teachers in developing teaching materials based on Project-Based Learning. The implementation methods carried out in this activity are: (1) Analyzing the needs and situation of teachers towards the implementation of PjBL-based learning through questionnaires distributed, (2) Submission of material to service participants related to the PjBL learning model and syntax in this learning model explained by the speaker, then (3) Teachers are given the task of compiling and designing chemistry LKPDs using the PjBL model, (4) Teachers will present the results of the LKPD design compiled, and (5) evaluation of activities. The results of the service activities carried out can provide experience and understanding for chemistry teachers in Padang city regarding the PjBL learning model. Participants who attended this service activity could prepare chemistry teaching materials using the PjBL model so that teachers could be more innovative and creative. This activity service can provide motivation for teachers to prepare teaching materials in accordance with the demands of the Kurikulum Merdeka, especially in the implementation of project-based learning.

Project-Based Learning is a learning model that uses projects as the core of learning (Permendikbud, 2014:20). This learning model is an innovative learning model that involves project work where students work independently in constructing their learning and culminating it in real products (Nanang Hanafiah and Cucu Suhana, 2009:30). Project Based Learning learning model is a learning strategy where students must build their own content knowledge and demonstrate new understanding through various forms of representation (NYC Department of Education 2009:8). characteristics of the PJBL Learning Model The Project Based Learning, learning model was developed based on the level of development of students' thinking, centered on students' learning activities so as to enable them to carry out activities according to their skills, comfort and learning interests. This model gives students the opportunity to determine for themselves the project they will work on, both in terms of formulating questions to be answered, choosing topics to research, and determining research activities to be carried out. The teacher's role in learning is as a facilitator, providing materials and work experience, encouraging students to discuss and solve problems, and ensuring students remain enthusiastic while they carry out the project. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of mentoring the implementation of the Project-based Learning (PjBL) model in the Independent Curriculum for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) Educators. This study uses a quantitative approach with one group pretest-posttest. Respondents were 80 PAUD educators in Bruno District, Central Java, Indonesia, using a quota sampling technique. Data were collected as scores and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The study results indicate that mentoring in implementing the PjBL model effectively improves the competence of PAUD educators. The score of PAUD educators reinforces this finding, as mentoring participants show an average post-test score of 61.14. This score is higher than the pre-test result, which is 77.55, with a significance (sig.) of 0.000 < 0.05. T-test calculation describes the difference where tcount is 0.445 > ttable is 0.220. Thus, mentoring the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model can improve the competence of PAUD educators in supporting the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Indonesia.
