Executable Agda Script for ‘A Tale of Two Zippers’

The ICSE 2021 paper titled "Data-Oriented Differential Testing Object-Relational Mapping Systems" comes with a replication package, which has been awarded with the "Available" badge by the Artifact Evaluation Committee. The artifact contains scripts, and step-by-step instructions to (1) get yourself familiar with the corresponding bug-finding tool(namely CYNTHIA ), (2) reproduce the results of the main paper, and (3) re-run the bugs discovered by CYNTHIA. The artifact is archived on Zenodo at https://zenodo.org/record/4455486. It is also publicly available on Github at https://github.com/theosotr/cynthia-eval under the GNU General Public License v3.0. The artifact is packaged as a Docker image. This image can be manually built from source, or it can be fetched from Docker hub. The execution of scripts is solely done inside Docker containers. Overall, our replication package has the following requirements: (1) a Unix-like operating system (tested on Ubuntu), (2) a Docker installation, and (3) at least 6GB of available disk space.

This paper introduces ASReview Makita, a tool designed to enhance the efficiency and reproducibility of simulation studies in systematic reviews. Makita streamlines the setup of large-scale simulation studies by automating workflow generation, repository preparation, and script execution. It employs Jinja and Python templates to create a structured, reproducible environment, aiding both novice and expert researchers. Makita’s flexibility allows for customization to specific research needs, ensuring a repeatable research process. This tool represents an advancement in the field of systematic review automation, offering a practical solution to the challenges of managing complex simulation studies.

This paper presents a new method of web services development that allows the execution of client-defined scripts on the server side. The new system architecture and features are implemented as an ontology server for the CancerGrid project. The authors believe that there will be broad applicability of the proposed method for future web services.

This study investigated execution of scripts by children with intellectual disability (ID), with and without turning back in the script. Seventeen children with ID and 17 typically developing (TD) children matched on vocabulary skills completed a doll-dressing task designed to assess script execution under standard and turning-back conditions. The task consisted of two tests: a script checking test (SCT), which measured execution without turning back, and a turning-back test (TBT), which required flexible execution with turning back. No significant difference was found between the ID and TD groups on the SCT. However, children with ID outperformed TD children on the TBT. These findings indicate that children with ID executed the scripts primarily on the basis of knowledge acquired through daily life experience.

Blockchain is the core technology underlying the first decentralized cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, introduced by Nakamoto in 2008. Since then, blockchain technology has many more advancements that are being developed and experimented. In particular, recent blockchain platforms such as Ethereum offer general and executable scripts, namely smart contracts, that can be employed to develop decentralized applications (DApps) in many domains beyond payment. However, the transparency of blockchain data raises concerns for many applications that require high privacy level. Therefore, many privacy enhancing technologies have been applied to DApp development, including zero knowledge proof (ZKP). This paper focuses on a particular kind of ZKP, called zero knowledge range proof (ZKRP), that has been applied in blockchain-based payments for banks. ZKRP allows a user to convince other people that a secret value actually lies within an interval without revealing any information about the secret. Here we introduce a new ZKRP which has the following remarkable features: (1) Non-interactive: No communication is required between a user and a verifier during the proof. (2) Range-flexibility: There is no limitation on the lower bound and the upper bound of the range except that they are natural numbers. (3) Efficiency: Our scheme is modified from that of Pang et al. (2010), yet achieves better security and is more efficient than their scheme. We believe our new ZKRP can be beneficial to the development of DApps and can extend the application scope to more scenarios.

A home automation system means monitoring and controlling various kinds of devices in the home remotely using the Internet of things (IoT). Technologies such as natural language processing techniques, user-friendly visual programming, and machine intelligence programming are already available for home automation. For such systems, the increase in the number of devices often makes users focused on the system’s ability to perform complex or composing tasks. However, some existing natural language processing systems can only perform simple tasks and cannot meet users’ needs. Thus, it is difficult for users to develop the home automation systems they need using visual programming systems because of the large amount of programming knowledge required. Meanwhile, automatic programming without user action can only write a few lines of code and implement little functionality. There are relatively few tools available for generating home automation scripting languages. To address this problem, we propose a practical method for generating executable home automation scripts using Chinese texts. Our method includes the following steps: it extracts critical information from the command sentences in Chinese; it uses first-order logic to check the validity of the extracted information; based on the validation, the correct sentences are mapped into the intermediate language scripts, which can interface with different home platforms. We conducted experiments on Home Assistant, converted intermediate scripts to Home Assistant, and collected 600 scenario descriptions. The experimental results show that the method can automatically generate executable scripts for the Home Assistant platform, and the correct rate was 93.66%.

Test automation involves the automatic execution of test scripts instead of\nbeing manually run. This significantly reduces the amount of manual effort\nneeded and thus is of great interest to the software testing industry. There\nare two key problems in the existing tools and methods for test automation - a)\nCreating an automation test script is essentially a code development task,\nwhich most testers are not trained on; and b) the automation test script is\nseldom readable, making the task of maintenance an effort intensive process. We\npresent the Accelerating Test Automation Platform (ATAP) which is aimed at\nmaking test automation accessible to non-programmers. ATAP allows the creation\nof an automation test script through a domain specific language based on\nEnglish. The English-like test scripts are automatically converted to machine\nexecutable code using Selenium WebDriver. ATAP's English-like test script makes\nit easy for non-programmers to author. The functional flow of an ATAP script is\neasy to understand as well thus making maintenance simpler (you can understand\nthe flow of the test script when you revisit it many months later). ATAP has\nbeen built around the Eclipse ecosystem and has been used in a real-life\ntesting project. We present the details of the implementation of ATAP and the\nresults from its usage in practice.\n

This chapter will cover CRON jobs for UNIX machines and task scheduling for Windows machines to automate routine execution of trading scripts. We will discuss which jobs should be run when, referencing Appendix A frequently for production-ready code examples.

Application Layer Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are very challenging to detect. The shortfall at the application layer allows formation of HTTP DDoS as the request headers are not compulsory to be attached in an HTTP request. Furthermore, the header is editable, thus providing an attacker with the advantage to execute HTTP DDoS as it contains almost similar request header that can emulate a genuine client request. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, there are no recent studies that provide forged request headers pattern with the execution of the current HTTP DDoS attack scripts. Besides that, the current dataset for HTTP DDoS is not publicly available which leads to complexity for researchers to disclose false headers, causing them to rely on old dataset rather than more current attack patterns. Hence, this study conducted an analysis to disclose forged request headers patterns created by HTTP DDoS. The results of this study successfully disclose eight forged request headers patterns constituted by HTTP DDoS. The analysis was executed by using actual machines and eight real attack scripts which are capable of overwhelming a web server in a minimal duration. The request headers patterns were explained supported by a critical analysis to provide the outcome of this paper.

Action affordances and visuo-spatial complexity in motor imagery: An fMRI study

While testing suspicious transactions that cause performance problems in a production database it is helpful to use a specialized tool that can simulate an increased workload. In the paper, we show the model and architecture of the DBPerfTester@UMAP stress testing application that allows the controlled execution of various SQL scripts from many workstations. It thus provides the possibility to test how the specified database behaves under a large pressure from concurrent transactions.DBPerfTester@UMAP is based on the UMAP multi-agent system, which allows the dynamic scalability and extensibility of the testing system. As an addition, we present sample tests of the chosen database management system while running a long transaction.

Over the years, the browser has become a complete runtime environment for client-side programs. The main scripting language used towards this purpose is JavaScript, which was designed so as to program the browser. A lot of extensions and new layers have been built on top of it to allow e.g. DOM navigation and manipulation. However, JavaScript has become a victim of its own success and is used way beyond its possibilities, leading to increased code complexity. We suggest to reduce programming complexity by proposing XQuery as a client-side programming language. We wrote an extension for Microsoft Internet Explorer, based on the Zorba XQuery engine, which allows execution of XQuery scripts in the browser. An extension for Firefox is on the way as well. This paper demonstrates how client-side applications in XQuery look like and what they can do within a very small amount of code.
