Multiple solutions of second-order three-point singular boundary value problems on the half-line

Let T be a time scale. Let T be a time scale. We study the existence of positive solutions for the nonlinear three-point singular boundary value problem with higher-order p-Laplacian dynamic delay differential equations on time scales, subject to some boundary conditions. By using the fixed-point index theory, the existence of positive solution and many positive solutions for nonlinear four-point singular boundary value problem with p-Laplacian operator are obtained.

In this paper, the existence of positive solutions for a singular second-order three-point boundary value problem is investigated. By using Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorem, several sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions and the eigenvalue intervals on which there exist positive solutions are obtained. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the importance of results obtained.

<p/> Some new existence and uniqueness theorems of fixed points of mixed monotone operators are obtained, and then they are applied to a nonlinear singular second-order three-point boundary value problem on time scales. We prove the existence and uniqueness of a positive solution for the above problem which cannot be solved by using previously available methods.

In this article, we investigate the existence of solutions for boundary value problems of fractional differential equations and inclusions with semiperiodic and three-point boundary conditions. The existence results for equations are obtained by applying Banach’s contraction mapping principle, Schaefer-type fixed point theorem, Leray-Schauder degree theory, Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorem, and Leray-Schauder nonlinear alternative, whereas the existence of solutions for convex and nonconvex set-valued maps (inclusion case) is shown via nonlinear alternative of Leray-Schauder type for multivalued maps and Wegrzyk’s fixed point theorem for generalized contractions, respectively. We emphasize that a variety of fixed point theorems are used to obtain different existence criteria for the problems at hand. Several examples are discussed for illustration of the obtained results. Moreover, an interesting observation related to symmetric second-order three-point boundary value problems is presented.

Monotone iterative method for the second-order three-point boundary value problem with upper and lower solutions in the reversed order

In this paper, we study a nonlinear second-order periodic boundary value problem, in which the equation has a singular and discontinuous nonlinearity. By using perturbation techniques and comparison principles, we obtain the existence of solutions for this problem.

Positive solutions for a singular second-order three-point boundary value problem

In this paper, we study the existence of nontrivial solutions for the second-order three-point boundary value problem with impulses. Under certain growth conditions on the nonlinearity function and by using Leray-Schauder nonlinear alternative, sufficient conditions for the existence of a nontrivial solution are obtained. Furthermore, we illustrate our results with some examples.

In this paper, we study the existence of nontrivial solution for the fourth-order three- point boundary value problem having the following formu(4) (t) + f (t, u(t)) = 0, 0 &lt; t &lt; 1,u(0) = α(η), u'(0) = u''(0) = 0, u(1) = βu(η),where η ∈ (0, 1), α, β ∈ R, f ∈ C ([0, 1] × R, R). We give sufficient conditions that allow us to obtain the existence of a nontrivial solution. And by using the Leray-Schauder nonlinear alternative we prove the existence of at least one solution of the posed problem. As an application, we also given some examples to illustrate the results obtained.

We consider the second-order nonlinear boundary value problems (BVPs) with Sturm–Liouville boundary conditions. We define types of solutions and show that if there exist solutions of different types then there exist intermediate solutions also.

The existence of positive solution for the singular second-order nonlinear boundary value problem arising in the boundary layer theory for the strong suction is studied.
