Drs. Robert and Mary Margaret Capraro are professors at Texas A&M University, and Dr. Jerry Goldin is a Regents Professor II at Rutgers University. This editorial team will assume their new roles beginning in March 2012.After serving as an associate editor from 2006 to 2009 and editor-in-chief since 2009, University of Alabama, Dr. Vicki L. Schmitt, assistant professor, will complete her 3-year appointment in the spring 2012. As founder and managing editor, I will serve in an advisory capacity to the new editorial team.MGRJ was founded in 2006 to provide a hard-copy professional journal wherein middle grades research could be published. Now beginning its seventh volume year, MGRJ remains the only hard-copy research quarterly focused on middle grades issues. Studies published in the journal are among the very best middle grades research produced internationally, and a number of university faculty rely on MGRJ as a priority outlet for their work.I am pleased to welcome our new editorial staff and look forward to a very prosperous 2012. Over the coming years, Dr. Spielhagen and her associate editors will no doubt lead MGRJ into a new era of productivity, recognition, and value to middle grades research, policy, and practice.
