Hierarchical gene selection and genetic fuzzy system for cancer microarray data classification.

A number of studies have been carried out on the factors determining port choice, derived from the perspectives of shippers, carriers or both. Recently, some studies using multi-criteria analysis, more specifically Saaty's analytical hierarchy process (AHP), have been undertaken to address port competitiveness and port selection by shipping lines. Based on a review of the literature on port selection, this article proposes a decision support system (DSS) for port selection using AHP methodology. The proposed DSS is web-based and thus it can be accessed by more decision makers and data collection can be carried out faster. Moreover, AHP addresses the issue of how to structure a complex decision problem, identify its criteria, measure the interaction among them and finally synthesise all the information to arrive at priorities, which depict preferences. AHP is able to assist port managers in obtaining a detailed understanding of the criteria and address the port selection problem utilising multi-criteria analysis. This article presents the architecture and the port selection procedure of the web-based DSS, and then illustrates three different cases. It shows how technology advancement can bring positive effects of strategic planning to shipping firms.

With the rapid development of science and technology, new technology is starting to be used in various fields including education. Education has a very important progress in a nation, because it can optimize individual potential. The educational process in higher education has a big influence on a student's future. However, there are many students who experience difficulties in choosing a college major after graduating from vocational high school (SMK) or senior high school (SMA), because of the complexity in identifying the suitability between interests and study programs. Decision making is a problem that everyone faces, especially in choosing an appropriate college major. There are many factors to consider, and with many options available, the decision-making process can be difficult. To overcome this problem, this research aims to create a decision support system (DSS) using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) and TOPSIS (Technique For Order By Similarity To Ideal Solution) methods. The AHP method is used to solve complex problems by structuring a hierarchy of criteria and developing weights or priorities. However, when the AHP method is used with many criteria and alternatives, other methods are needed for more effective results. Therefore, a combined method of AHP and TOPSIS was chosen, where AHP focuses on pairwise comparison matrices and consistency analysis, while TOPSIS can measure relative performance and alternative decision making simply and efficiently. The results of research on decision support systems for selecting majors using the AHP and TOPSIS methods show that the application of the combined AHP-TOPSIS method can be used to determine the best alternative in selecting majors by comparing alternatives based on predetermined criteria. In addition, system testing results show that the system functions as expected and meets user needs. With a decision support system for selecting college majors implemented on the website, it can simplify the decision-making process for students and BK teachers in choosing college majors. The results of the calculation of the percentage of system feasibility in blackbox testing show a value of 95.71%, which indicates that this major selection decision support system website can be used.

After going through the stages in accordance with the selected development method hence in implementing decision support system for the selection of this department have follow-up testing system consisting of alpha testing where this test using blackbox testing method that focuses on the functional requirements of the software. After testing it can be concluded that the Decision Support System created by using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), which is expected to assist in the selection of high school majors. In an effort to address the risk of stunting in families in the Dewantara District, this study aims to design and implement a decision support system using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to provide information related to the highest factors causing families at risk of stunting in the Dewantara District. The data used in this study consisted of 250 data on families at risk of stunting in the Dewantara District for the period of 2023. The data was then normalized and processed through a web-based system developed using the Python programming language and SQLite database. The use of Python as a programming language, and SQLite as a database, created an effective and efficient system for processing data, as well as supporting the analysis required in this study. The results of the analysis showed that the number of children was the dominant factor causing families at risk of stunting in the Dewantara District with a value of (26.244), then followed by maternal age (15.015), latrine factor (14.102), welfare ranking factor (12.455), drinking water source factor (2.893), and birth spacing factor (0.525). This study concludes that the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is effective in identifying the highest risk factors for families at risk of stunting based on data on families at risk of stunting and producing a clear ranking. Data tersebut kemudian dinormalisasi dan diolah melalui sistem berbasis web yang dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python dan database SQLite. Penggunaan Python sebagai bahasa pemrograman, dan SQLite sebagai database, menciptakan sistem yang efektif dan efisien untuk mengolah data, serta mendukung analisis yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor jumlah anak merupakan faktor dominan penyebab keluarga berisiko stunting di Wilayah Kecamatan Dewantara dengan nilai sebesar (26,244), kemudian diikuti faktor usia ibu (15,015), faktor jamban (14,102), faktor peringkat kesejahteraan (12,455), faktor sumber air minum (2,893), dan faktor jarak kelahiran (0,525). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa metode Analitycal Hierarchy Process (AHP) efektif dalam mengidentifikasi faktor tertinggi penyebab keluarga berisiko stunting berdasarkan data keluarga berisiko stunting dan menghasilkan perangkingan yang jelas. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam merumuskan kebijakan dan merencanakan program intervensi yang lebih terarah, sehingga mendukung upaya pencegahan dini serta penurunan prevalensi stunting yang berkelanjutan.Kata Kunci: Sistem Pendukung Keputusan, Keluarga Berisiko Stunting, AHP, Kecamatan Dewantara, Python.

The AHP method used in this decision support system can help decision makers in solving complex problems by considering existing criteria and sub-criteria. It is hoped that this decision support system will make it easier for the faculty to assess lecturer performance objectively and effectively so that it can improve the quality of education at Dehasen University, Bengkulu. Waterfal method, ready-made software that is operated by the user and carried out maintenance. Maintenance allows developers to make corrections to errors that were not detected in previous stages. Maintenance includes repairing errors. Based on the research that has been carried out through the stages of analysis, design, system development, system testing and implementation, it can be concluded that, the system built using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in selecting the best lecturers can provide information in the form of the best lecturers in accordance with the criteria and also the conditions that the user enters, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method uses input in the form of assessments for each criterion that can run well according to the design, the decision support system uses the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method where the value obtained is a consistent value if the value of CR is equal to or more than 0.1 (10%).

Students play an important role in learning computers, especially in the process of education and learning. On the other hand, information technology continues to develop rapidly, one of the developments in information technology is the emergence of Decision Support Systems. Decision support system is a system that helps decision makers in making a decision.There are many methods or algorithms that can be used in decision support systems, including Weighted Product (WP), TOPSIS, Simple Addictive Weighting (SAW), Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) methods and others. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is one method that has been widely used in Decision Support Systems. This method has the ability to measure the degree of consistency of the decisions to be made. One of the consistency calculations performed in the AHP method is the calculation of the consistency ratio, which in this calculation is done using the value of the random index (IR). Over time, many researchers have conducted research on the value of the Analytical Hierarchy Process random index, so there are many new random index values in addition to the AHP random index found by students.

Style Queen Kebaya Store (SQ Kebaya) is a store that is engaged in apparel, its product sales focus includes adult and children's kebaya. The negative impact of the Covid 19 Pandemic has proven that the Store (SQ Kebaya) has experienced a decline in sales turnover in 2020, therefore the SQ Kebaya Store's efforts to restore its sales activities are by giving gifts for customer appreciation during the COVID 19 season through selecting the best customers for the 2020 period. However, the problem faced by SQ Kebaya Stores in the process of evaluating the best customer selection is that there is no criterion weight so that the decision making is not right on target, making the best customer decisions less efficient because they have to look for customer sales records manually in the sales record book. This study produces a web-based decision support system for selecting the best customers at SQ Kebaya Stores using the AHP (criteria weight), SAW and WASPAS (best customer ranking) methods, this study produces priority weights and importance levels of each criterion, namely status (0.37 ), method of payment (0.23), total spending (0.14), quantity (0.13), intensity of visits (0.07), length of subscription (0.07) and the result of ranking the percentage of the largest alternative value is the alternative SAW method with an average of 0.6952 , while the WASPAS method is 0.6405. It can be concluded that the right method used to obtain the best alternative value is the SAW method.

This paper proposed a concept of the Group Decision Support System (GDSS) to evaluate the performance of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Projects in Indonesian regional government agencies to overcome any possible inconsistencies which may occur in a decision-making process. By considering the aspect of the applicable legislation, decision makers involved to provide an assessment and evaluation of the ICT project implementation in regional government agencies consisted of Executing Parties of Government Institutions, ICT Management Work Units, Business Process Owner Units, and Society, represented by DPRD (Regional People’s Representative Assembly). The contributions of those decision makers in the said model were in the form of preferences to evaluate the ICT project-related alternatives based on the predetermined criteria for the method of Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). This research presented a GDSS framework integrating the Methods of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and Copeland Score. The AHP method was used to generate values for the criteria used as input in the calculation process of the TOPSIS method. Results of the TOPSIS calculation generated a project rank indicated by each decision maker, and to combine the different preferences of these decision makers, the Copeland Score method was used as one of the voting methods to determine the best project rank of all the ranks indicated by the desicion makers.

Samosir regency is a from North Sumatera province which dominantly people is live on agriculture. The most of the farmers using autodidact learning to determining the types of plants that will be process the appropriate with their land, where farmers just learn from their experiences and exchange opinion with another farmers. Based of the problem, the system will be built by Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with Genetic Algorithm. The result of the testing from method Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) obtained result with consistency ratio values < 0,1, which is -0,5936 while the result of the testing from Genetic Algorithm obtained value of the fitness is 157,25. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the method Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) obtained the result more consistent with the value of consistency ratio should be < 0,1, so it will be easier to making decision, while on the analysis of Genetic Algorithm, obtained result are probabilistic as always having random process, so that decision making can not be consistent. So, Decision Support System to determination of plants based by contents of soil which are good and suitable is method Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).

The use of the internet is now with the increasing human need for information obtained using internet media. A decision support system (SPK) that is able to assist internet package users in determining the selection of internet packages and criteria can be used as a solution. This SPK implements the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Weighted Product (WP) methods, the AHP method is used to determine the value of the weight criteria which is then used to calculate the WP method in determining the ranking of alternative internet packages. The criteria used in the AHP method include price, quota, signal quality, speed, and package type. The input data in the form of the weight value is calculated using the WP method to determine the best internet package. The results of the implementation of the AHP method were obtained on the criteria of price, quota, signal, speed, and package of 0.351; 0.279; 0.16; 0.14; and 0.07. The results of the implementation of the WP method based on the value of the weighting of the criteria from the results of processing the AHP method obtained Axis 1 GB data package as the selected internet package with a value of 0.256.

Currently, the need for an internet connection is increasing due to the human need for information and communication that can be obtained through the internet. A decision support system with criteria is needed to solve the challenge of choosing an internet package with many components or criteria that must be evaluated. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) are two multi-criteria decision support system techniques, but they use different measurement techniques. This research aims to identify the best Internet Service Provider by applying the Simple Additive Weight (SAW) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) techniques. The objects used in this research are the providers Indihome, Biznet, and Solnet. The weight of each criterion is determined using the AHP technique, and the best suppliers are ranked using the SAW approach. The sampling technique used in this research was Purposive Sampling. In this study, the ranking results of 100 respondents showed that the ranking for the AHP method was 60% and for the SAW method was 92%. Thus, global calculations using the AHP and SAW methods were obtained for the best alternative ISP, namely Indihome.

The decision support system (DSS) for employee performance appraisal is a decision support system used in the employee performance appraisal process at PT. Surya Toto Tbk. Currently, the employee performance appraisal process is still done manually (paper based) so that the reports produced are not real time. From the existing problems, this research aims to analyze and design a decision support system according to the existing criteria using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method with the aim of being able to be developed into a Web-based DSS. The method used begins with communication with management, especially the perpetrators of employee performance appraisals. Furthermore, planning, data collection process, analysis, design and finally making reports are carried out. The conclusion of this study provides a suggestion for the addition of subcriteria from the existing criteria. After calculating with AHP, the value that appears for the work outcome criteria (A) on the quantitative subcriteria A11 with a score of 0.123, qualitative A12 with a score of 0.033, delivery A13 with a score of 0.024 and Implementation of SOP A14 with a score of 0.018. The score is for a very good value (BS).

During the current Covid-19 pandemic, it has a direct impact on decreasing motorcycle sales at PT. Astra Honda Motor in large enough numbers, resulting in losses for the company. This study aims to analyze the forecasting of motorcycle sales in the future and supported by a decision support system in selecting the type of motorbike that consumers are most interested in. The method used in this research is the Trend method and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The results of this study are based on the mean square error analysis, sales forecasting method at PT. Astra uses exponential trend analysis. The results of forecasting sales for the next 2 periods using the exponential trend analysis method are 2,715,032 units and 2,671,937 units, the sales levels tend to be the same as sales in the 2020 period. Meanwhile, the results of the decision support system analysis use the Analytical Hierarchy Process method (AHP), in choosing the type of motorbike that consumers are most interested in is an automatic motorbike at 0.63 with the preferred alternative is the fuel consumption aspect of 0.36.

In determining the selection of candidates for admission badminton talented athletes, many criteria that must be possessed by the prospective athlete as a condition of the receipt of a talented athlete badminton. There are several criteria to be considered in the PB. Djarum Kudus, namely the physical aspects, technical aspects, aspects of tactics and psychological aspects. Enrollment talented badminton athletes was conducted by a talent scout to help aspiring athletes who are less able or accomplished during a certain period. To assist in the determination of the candidate set badminton talented athlete who deserves it takes a decision support system. This research will be appointed a case of finding the best alternative based on predetermined criteria using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). Research carried out by finding the weights for each attribute, and then carried ranking process that will determine the optimal alternative, which is the best athlete.
