Based on the new development concept, this paper integrates statistical data, vector data, and raster data to construct a high-quality development evaluation system for new urbanization. The high-quality development of new urbanization in 21 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province is evaluated from five dimensions: innovation, coordination, green, opening, and sharing. Moreover, the variation coefficient, Dagum Gini coefficient, and other methods were used to further investigate the spatial difference of high-quality development of new urbanization. This study found that the new high-quality development of urbanization level has obvious spatial differences and significant development gaps between the Western Region, the Northern Region, the Eastern Region, and the Pearl River Delta Region in Guangdong Province. Additionally, the opening index, followed by the innovation index, presented the most significant development gap, and the inter-regional gap is a crucial contributor to the high-quality development differences of new urbanization in Guangdong Province.
