Implementation of Bioinformatics Learning in Senior High School: A Systematic Review

This paper reports condition of transitivity system of ideational function realized in the text of Daqaaiqul Akhbar, as a useful form of local cultural text that can nurture creativity of Sasak ethnic group. Investigation in this research was carried out with some focuses as fomulated in the research questions, such as 1) “What is the most dominant type of transitivity system realized in the text of Daqaaiqul Akhbar "Khabar Nature News Hereafter?”; 2) “How is the relevance of the findings with discourse learning in high school?” The purpose of this study was to describe the most dominant type of transitivity system Daqaaiqul Akhbar text and to illustrate the relevance of the findings with discourse learning in senior high school. The investigation was conducted with the application of combination research approach of qualitative and quantitative research approach. Qualitative research approach refers to the basic assumptions as the best effort to gain an understanding of the phenomena. Data of the research was collected with utilization of observation, documentation and record method. The result shows that types of transitivity system found in text of Daqaaiqul Akhbar, which consists of 86 clauses including process items 84 (78.83%), participant 149 items (140.21%), and circumstance 87 items (81.79%). Relevance of the findings with discourse learning in senior high school is, 1) text of Daqaaiqul Akhbar can be a reference that explores the values (value) related learning objectives achievement. Discourse can analyzed based on character in Curriculum 2013, 2). Examination of the text of discourse in high school is not monotonous on the view of structural grammar (conventional) which is still at the traditional level.

Academic supervision is is the part of activity to improve the professionality of teacher in elevating the education quality. One of the important thing to ensure the quality of school education is to provide the supervision of teacher through the couching activity in target shcool. Academic supervision is an important part to improve the quality of education. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effect of different gender of supervisor in order to implement the academic supervision in senior high school, vocational high school and special needs school in several section of learning, which is planning, learning implementation and learning evaluation. The present study use a survey method to collect the information in implementing the academic supervision management by school supervisors in senior high school, vocational high school and special needs school, based on gender differences of supervisors. We used an instrument to collect the data, then we analyze the data using a descriptive analysis The result shows that female supervisors are better in academic supervision management than male supervisors in carrying out their duties. The present study shows that gender of supervisor may affect the result of academic supervision. Furthermore, we expected that the study will become a consideration in order to improve the educational quality by implementing the academic supervision management.. Textbooks are still considered as the most popular learning tool in school education. Since language and culture are inextricable, teachers are now challenged in defining the best textbook that enables students, especially who are in senior high school learn both the language and the culture. To know what cultural content is represented in the textbook it is necessary to analyse its content in the form of cultural themes. This content analysis research aimed to investigate the stated cultural themes of English textbook at senior high school learning in Indonesia. The researcher collected the data through a textbook analysis checklist made based on the criteria of cultural themes proposed by Chen. The results showed that some parts of the book have been engaging culture in small “c” and big “C”. However, the amount is in a small number. In order to enrich cultural learning, students need more cultural themes of small “c” and big “C” to develop students’ cultural knowledge and competence. Knowledge about cultures will build students’ cultural competence and awareness. Thus, the inclusion of cultural should be the concern for the material developer of English textbook and English educators in the level of senior high school, especially in Indonesia.

The learning process running in the 21st century has been integrated with technology and can be accessed easily anywhere and anytime. This research aims to describe the results of website design for interactive teaching materials assisted and describe the responses of teachers and students to interactive website teaching materials assisted by Notion and PhET on the topic of linear motion in senior high school. This research uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model design to create an interactive design website. There are six steps: concept, design, material collection, manufacture, testing, and distribution with research data collection methods, namely by conducting interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Based on research, the design of an interactive teaching material website with the help of Notion on the topic of linear motion received a really good response from teachers and students and can be used for learning in senior high school.

This study aims to describe students' understanding of historical learning in online learning in high school, the results of research in analysis using cognitive theory, then research methods using qualitative methods using case study approach. Techniques used in conducting research and data collection using observation and interview techniques. The results showed that the transition from offline learning methods to online learning is quite affecting the effectiveness of teachers in delivering their material to students, where not all lessons can easily adapt to the transition of offline learning to online learning, one of which is history that at first students have a little difficulty to absorb and understand the learning done offline, but with the application of online learning due to covid-19 is enough to make it difficult for students to digest materials in online history learning .

The aims of this research are: 1). To find out the description of implementation, obstacles, and solutions from HOTS-based learning, 2). To find out how teachers implement HOTS in the learning process. The subjects of this study were 21 PJOK teachers in Central Maluku District, Maluku Province at the senior high school level. This research is a type of experimental research using a quantitative descriptive approach to the survey method. Instruments used for data collection namely Questionnaire with a rating scale in a rubric using a Likert scale.Based on the results of the research and data analysis, it shows that: 1) In the implementation of PJOK learning in high schools in Central Maluku district, Maluku Province, there are several obstacles in the application of learning. 2) The implementation of HOTS-based PJOK learning in junior high schools in Central Maluku Regency was in the adequate category with a score of 71.43% or only 15 teachers implemented HOTS-based learning with all the limitations.

The results of student’s analysis of physics mastery of class X in several high schools in the city of Padang, showed the lowest value found in Newton‘s laws of motion. This shows that students experience various obstacles in mastering this material. One of them is the factor of the perception of students towards learning physics. This study aims to reveal the tendency of students’ perceptions of learning physics in Newton‘s law material, student mastery, their relationship and the factors of difficulty in learning Newton’s laws of motion, in terms of student perception. This study included descriptive correlational study in high school in Padang city in semester from January to June 2019. With stratified random sampling technique obtained by 60 students as samples to represent a clever student, medium and less, which is derived from 4 SMA and one private school. The instrument used to obtain data, in the form of 60 items of perception questionnaires and 24 items of mastery of material compiled based on a grid combination of 4 dimensions of knowledge and 6 levels of cognitive processes refers to Bloom’s revised taxonomy. The instrument used has fulfilled its validity and reliability. The results showed that a) the perception of students towards learning the laws of Newton at the high category, b) mastery of physics students are on the low category, c) There are positive correlation between the perceptions of teaching physics with students mastery to the material laws Newton‘s motion, with 36.2% contribution. b) The proportion of understanding dimensions of students’ knowledge: factual, conceptual, procedural, and metacognitive respectively, are 51.42 %, 36.88 %, 13.96 %, and 4,54 %. c) the proportion of mastery of cognitive process levels for the ability to remember, understand, apply, analyse, evaluate and create are: 54.44 %, 33.56 %, 38.75 %, 14.44 %, 13.19 % and 5.81 %. d) study difficulties were found in learning Newton’s law materials according to the perceptions of students, in terms of factors: students individual; properties inherent in physical matter; and student learning conditions created by the teacher.

<p>Local wisdom as part of the cultural values possessed by certain communities is considered as a form of defense of culture against incoming foreign cultures. This study aims to describe (1) the aspects of local wisdom in Serat Menak Lare; (2) the most prominent cultural aspects contained in Serat Menak Lare; (3) the relevance of Serat Menak Lare with Indonesian language learning in senior high school. The research type was descriptive qualitative study with an anthropological literary study approach. The source of data was taken from the book Menak Lare I-IV by R. Ng. Yasadipura I which has been transliterated and translated by Sulistijo HS. The data collection technique used is intensive reading and note-taking. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling which is analyzed by interactive analysis model. The results of the research in the form of local wisdom contained in Serat Menak Lare can be identified in the form of the names of figures, animals, plants, and adjustments to the description of the place setting. The cultural aspects that stand out in Serat Menak Lare are the system of tools and equipment for human life, the arts, and the religious system. Equipment that is often found is palace equipment and war equipment. Local wisdom in the arts is in the form of gamelan musical instruments, dance, and Javanese-style architecture. The religious system found is the nuances of the Islamic religion. Furthermore, Serat Menak Lare is very relevant to be used as an alternative study material of Indonesian language learning in high school/equivalent.</p><p>Keywords: local wisdom, Menak Lare, literary anthropology</p>

This study aims to (1) get a valid and practice prototype mathematics’ blog support for learning in senior high school, (2) see the effect of blog support for learning mathematics. That is used in this study is a developmental research that consist of conception, designing, collecting materials, assembling, trying out and distributing. Mathematics’ blog support was tried out to eleventh grade of senior high school student in SMA YPI Tunas Bangsa. The instruments for collecting data are test, observation, questioner, and document analyzing. Test is used to see students’ achievement. Observation is used to see students’ activities. Questioner is used to see students’ opinion after using mathematics’ blog support. Document analyzing is used to see opinions of expert review about validity and practically of mathematics’ blog support. The results of analysis are: (1) mathematics’ blog support which is developed has been valid and practice. Valid is based on expert review. Practice is based on one to one and small group. <p>This research sheds a light on students’ problems on writing English paragraphs, the special attention would be given to the way students generating proper vocabulary and lexeme and the word orders. The researchers attempt to reveal the relationship between students’ learning preferences during the process of English learning in senior high school and the error being produced while producing the academic texts or paragraphs.This is a survey research by employing 50 students as the research subjects from department of Elementary School Teacher Training and Mathematic Education of University of PGRI Yogyakarta. They are, both female and male, from various background and amount of exposure to English. Students were asked to produce four paragraphs, narrating the process of English learning during the high school. The errors are classified into errors in diction and error in word orders. The researchers make relation between the error and the learning styles being implemented during the school process. The results would be descriptively explainedBased on the research results, it is revealed that Kinesthetic was the most-used method by the students who have the highest level of English comprehension. The reason is that the students are scaffolding, doing something to support the learning process. So, the learning goals are easily comprehended. It is strongly suggested that the teachers do carefully consideration to find the best approaches to teach materials by recognizing all students learning preferences in a classroom.</p>

This research is a preliminary study on a small and limited scale that aims to identify local potentials in the Lampung area as a source of learning biology with conformity to the Basic Competencies in the 2013 Curriculum. This study used a qualitative method with a survey technique through an exploratory descriptive approach. Participants in this study were all biology teachers from 17 public high schools in Bandar Lampung totaling 30 teachers (5 males and 25 females). The selection of participation was done through purposive sampling technique using certain criteria. The results of the study show 18 local potentials of Lampung consisting of 6 natural resource potentials, 4 conservation areas, 4 culinary delights, 2 arts, 1 handicraft and 1 traditional ceremony. The grouping of local potentials can be related to the subject of biology at the high school level. Local potential can be categorized as use in the field of education, namely natural resources and conservation areas. It can alsobe used as practicum activities with the help of LKPD media. Furthermore,local culinary potential can be used as practicum activities on learning devices (RPP), local potentials for arts, crafts. moreover, traditional ceremonies can be used as an additional reference for enrichment programs on learning devices (RPP).

This study examines the use of syntax in written French by learners of French at the Senior High School (SHS) level in the Tamale Metropolis. The specific objective was to find out the areas of difficulties students have with regard to the use of syntax and suggest didactic solutions to the problems. The data collected as a basis for this study was an essay-writing test by 85 learners of the third year in five Senior High School (SHS) in the Tamale Metropolis where French is taught as a foreign language namely, Ghana Senior High School, Presbyterian Senior High School, St. Charles Senior High School, Tamale Senior High School and Tamale Girls' Senior High School. It was discovered from the study that students really have difficulties in the area previously mentioned. It was noticed in their written essays that they used inadequate syntactic constructions, wrong and repetitive syntactic structures. It was therefore suggested that some elements of textual grammar should be introduced in the teaching of essay writing at the SHS level. Teaching activities that contribute to improvement in essay-writing are also suggested in this study. It is finally recommended that the teachers introduce practical training activities in the use of syntax examined in this article and regular exercises in French which lead to the development of essay-writing competence in the learner. The COVID-19 pandemic has catalyzed a significant shift from traditional face-to-face classes to online learning, profoundly impacting educational practices. This study employs a descriptive qualitative case study approach to investigate the implementation of online learning at MAN 2 Kota Kediri. Data were collected through questionnaires and structured interviews with English teachers to examine their challenges and experiences during this transition. Findings indicate that teachers effectively utilized the discovery learning model, which comprises three key stages: preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities. Each stage includes critical steps such as stimulation, problem identification, data collection, data processing, and generalization. The results highlight the importance of structured online learning frameworks in enhancing educational outcomes during challenging times. Additionally, the study underscores the role of information technology in education and the necessity for planned, effective human resource development to boost productivity and community welfare. This research contributes valuable insights into the adaptation of teaching methodologies in the face of unprecedented challenges, emphasizing the effectiveness of active learning strategies in an online context.

This study examined the difficulties encountered by senior high school learners in the Cookery strand of Home Economics at Manjuyod Senior High School, Division of Negros Oriental. Utilizing a descriptive research design, data were gathered from 61 purposively selected respondents through a validated researcher-made questionnaire. The study aimed to identify learners' demographic profile, assess the level of difficulties encountered in various instructional areas, and determine differences when grouped according to selected variables. Findings revealed that the respondents were predominantly female (75%) and came from families with moderate to high income levels (68%). Among the identified areas of difficulty, assessment of learning obtained the highest weighted mean of 3.92, interpreted as 'often,' indicating that students considered assessment-related tasks as their most significant challenge. This was followed by adequacy of tools and equipment (M = 3.86), teacher competence (M = 3.74), content knowledge (M = 3.69), and objectives (M = 3.52). Further analysis using the Mann–Whitney U test revealed significant differences in the level of difficulties when grouped according to grade level (p = 0.03) and parents' educational attainment (p = 0.02), suggesting that these factors influence students' ability to cope with cookery-related tasks. The study concludes that addressing resource limitations, teacher upskilling, and assessment strategies is essential to enhance cookery instruction. It recommends that the Department of Education allocate additional funds for facilities and training programs to improve the teaching and learning experience in Home Economics.
