Most of knowledge management documents use a single dimension or individual case study as the foundation to carry out studies into management performance and the studies into how knowledge management performance influence knowledge management driver are very few. Consequently, this study integrated the theories from different studies to propose three individual drivers of knowledge management, and the knowledge management performance of organizations was the dependent variable. Through questionnaires, the mutual relationship between the three individual drivers of knowledge management would be discussed, and then the relationship between the drivers of knowledge management and the knowledge management performance in the organization would be discussed too. Two-step approach of Anderson and Gerbing (1988) was the main study method of this study, and SPSS statistical software was used to carry out reliability test and exploratory factor analysis, and assessment of validity and measuring model were then carried out. LISREL8.51 statistical software was used to carry out verification for the measuring model. The study result showed that the more popular the application of relevant information system of knowledge management, the better the performance of organization’s knowledge management. Positive participation of the leaders and creation of knowledge management culture are important factors of the optimal knowledge management performance in the organization. On the other hand, appropriate use of information technology allows the formation of knowledge management culture. This culture could guide or stimulate the organization too. Leader’s behavior is the significant factor of creating excellent knowledge management culture. This study attempted to urge the enterprises to check on its organization and operation, and correct their major problems during the preparation of implementing knowledge management, so as to promote the probability of being successful when the enterprises implement knowledge management. The theme of the research is to look into the relatedness among IT lead-in, “knowledge management”, “marketing orientation” and “job performance” in T Company in mobile communication industry. From 2005, mobile communication industry starts the tendency of internationalization and diversification. Meanwhile, the enterprise faces the pressure of accelerated innovation.Therefore, most enterprises lead in “knowledge management” concept and use IT (Information Technology) infrastructure, deal with the changes of international products through organization learning. Accordingly, the target of this research is to study how the telecommunication operators learn from cross-unit (IT Role) base on the acknowledgement of “knowledge management” and”marketing orientation” , and get job performance in result. The case study instrument is pretested with T Company which goes public and is one of the top three telecommunication companies. To construct related materials of “knowledge management”,”marketing orientation”and ”job performance” which are suitable to employees of T Company through data collection. Process the PLS analysis model base on 80 emplyees of 5 major departments to validate the causal relation among the variables of “IT role”,”knowledge management”,”marketing orientation” and “job performance”. Findings are that “knowledge management” is the important effect parameter of IT system and “marketing orientation”, and “marketing orientation” is also the significant effect of firm performance. The case study connects “IT role”and “knowledge management”in theoretical foundation, and links IT and “marketing orientation”via “knowledge management”to make positive effects. Moreover, the case study extends more effects of “marketing orientation”theory to firm performance. Key words: “IT Role”,”Knowledge Management”,”Marketing Orientation”,”Job Performance”.

The concept of librarians. library officers, information scientists has got trivia to up keep its myth for longer journey of information age in the present cutting edge of information technology. KM has its roots in several disciplines including data modeling and simulation organization behaviour, information management and behavioral sciences among others. KM encompasses identifying and mapping intellectual assets within the organization thereby generating valuable knowledge capital for competitive advantages within the organization. Presents the principles of KM. which are experimented and observed by Davenport. This article aims at presenting holistic views of changed phenomenon from the stored knowledge to ultimate resource of knowledge assets of any organization through the nodes of information processes and activities.

IT Governance is a branch of the corporate governance system focused on information technology (IT) as well as performance and risk management. IT Governance is defined as the processes that ensure the effective and efficient use of IT in enabling an organization to achieve its goal. There are many different frameworks that can be used for managing the delivery of cost-effective IT services. IT managing the delivery of cost-effective IT services does not always give the advantage to the company. There are times when the IT managing the delivery of cost-effective IT services does not provide any benefit, it can cause IT Productivity Paradox. ISO 20000-focusing upon IT service management. ISO 17799 / ISO 27001 - focusing upon information. Six Sigma-focusing upon operational performance and defect identification. COBIT - framework for information IT management risks. Control Objectives for Information and related Technology (COBIT) provides good practices across a domain and process framework and presents activities in a manageable and logical structure. COBIT’s good practices represent the consensus of experts. They are strongly focused more on control, less on execution. These practices will help optimise IT-enabled investments, ensure service delivery and provide a measure against which to judge when things do go wrong. This research is intend to find out whether Cobit mapping Business Goal to IT Goal appropriate with case study. The result The results using SEM approach shows that the mapping of COBIT is not significant in the case studies of academic administration.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to analyze the value of a strong decision-making information technology (IT) influence within organizations. Although research and managerial practice has repeatedly shown the importance of IT departments within firms and has commented on the influence of IT departments on business performance, prior research has still no evidence about the value of a strong decision-making IT influence yet.Design/methodology/approachTo prove the influence of the IT department within the company, this study identifies and operationalizes a formative construct determined by four main specifics of the IT department: IT department size, IT department value assessment, IT experience of the top management and degree of digitization. A questionnaire was used to collect the data of 124 experts from companies that could be assigned mainly to the sectors manufacturing, trade as well as information and communication. The data were analyzed using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. Further, partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM) was used to test the proposed model.FindingsThe results show that both investments in the size of the IT department as well as in top managers with IT experience, and a high degree of digitization in a company positively influence the role of the IT department. It also shows that a higher general appreciation of the IT department goes hand in hand with a higher influence of IT in the company. The measures are significant as companies, which do have an influential IT department, actually have higher monetary as well as non-monetary business performances.Practical implicationsThe study is aimed equally at science and practice, as it provides information on the extent to which more importance should be attached to IT management in the future and what organizational adjustments need to be made.Originality/valueDespite the ongoing discussions on the importance of IT management for business performance, no existing studies have delivered evidence that there is a significant direct link between the decision-making influence of IT and the extent of corporate performance. The present work therefore has two objectives. The theoretical goal is to clarify the impact of the IT department on business performance and to identify the factors that make up an influential IT department. The practical objective of the research is to provide recommendations on how firms could establish or expand the IT department.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the relationship between information technology, strategic leadership, and knowledge management on competitive advantage in chemical companies in Indonesia. Competitive advantage has become a major concern for companies in today's global market, especially the chemical industry. Based on an analysis of past research, there has been no research investigating information technology, strategic leadership, and overall knowledge management of competitive advantage in the context of chemical companies in Indonesia. Furthermore, the novelty of this research is to examine the relationship between information technology, leadership, and knowledge management on the competitive advantage in a research model. This study uses a quantitative method with a research population of chemical companies in Indonesia, total 1519 companies and a sample of 114 companies. The sampling technique uses an intentional sampling method, and the data analysis uses multiple regression analysis with SPPS 25. The results of this study indicate that information technology, strategic leadership, and knowledge management have a significant positive relationship with a competitive advantage. The implications of this study indicate that a manager's leadership strategy ability and the application of knowledge management for employees in this industry significantly influence competitive advantage. The use of information technology for strategic purposes should be more widely applied to increase competitive advantage.

Objective Current study used quantitative research methods to reveal the regional medical information research in hotspots, and summarize the mainstream knowledge base to provide the reference for researchers in the field. Methods A systematic search was conducted to find publications in CNKI, Wanfang Database and PubMed. Bibliometrics method, social network analysis, co-word analysis, principal component analysis and multidimensional scaling analysis were used in this study. Results ① total 11, 482 articles published from 1984 to 2013 were screened out. The development of research publications showed an increasing trend, and the papers were distributed in 1233 types of journals. The number of authors who located in Beijing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Shandong ranked top five. ② The top 59 high-frequency key words were identified that representing the hot contents in regional health information technology research field, and was used to build knowledge network map. Among them, HIS, electronic medical records, hospital information technology, information technology were at the core of this research area. ③ We summarized research and development in the field of nine major mainstream knowledge base include: research on electronic medical records, medical personnel, information systems, information security, information networks, information sharing, information integration, information technology, and information management, resident’s health record related studies; qualitative analysis and problem-oriented research; HIS and telemedicine-related research; community-related research, two-way referral related research, health care reform and cloud computing-related research, telemedicine related research and V43 related research. Conclusions The development of regional medical information research has good momentum and closely follow the international trend, but the research contents and methods are still distance from international standard.. Research mostly focused on hospital information system construction, regional research and applied research are weak and need to be further improved. Present standards guiding the corporate governance of information technology (IT) provide useful frameworks for organizations’ governing bodies to direct the effective use of information technology (IT) within their organizations. However, existing standards still fail to resolve the dilemma regarding the actual allocation of IT roles and responsibilities between governing bodies and IT management, while such an allocation represents a major challenge in many contemporary organizations. To advance on this issue, we explore IT managers’ interpretation of the allocation of IT roles and responsibilities to either the governing body or managerial levels in nine Ibero-American Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). We used the ISO/IEC 38500 and COBIT standards to define a unique set of 212 management and governance activities and responsibilities. We surveyed 30 IT managers in Higher Education Institutions from nine Ibero-American countries and identified the divergence in the allocation of IT Governance and Management tasks between respondents and expert judgments. Using regression analysis, we show that the degree of such divergence depends on organizational contingency factors such as the formalization of IT procedures, centralization, the complexity of the organization, and the size of IT departments. This is the first study in the literature conducting a thorough analysis of IT task allocation between the governing level and the management level. This study is also the first to identify four organizational factors influencing the divergence between respondents and expert opinion regarding this allocation. The findings and propositions presented in this paper have the potential to extend our understanding of the IT governance dilemma in other professional organizations similar to HEIs.

Comptroller division is a staff unit of government organization, in charge of the business of year’s account、accounting、statistic. The purpose of year’s account is to build up the government’s budget system, distribute resources reasonably, and value the efficiency of government’s application, expect to combine the government policy and the budget. Accounting can assist budget execution and compile an accounting report correctly, showing the real financial station. For statistics, it is to collect the execution results of public affairs, and various statistic data for further analysis and application, being the reference materials to affirm government’s policy and budget. Since time progresses and ideas innovate unceasingly, the financial officer works must keep pace with the times, for following time pulsation and society’s need. In recent years, for our national troops promoting organization restructuring, our human resources has been simplified and national defense affairs are getting more diverse than before, in order to make more contributions to each specialized field, comptrollers should study new knowledge continuously, apply information technology to improve working method and innovate business. In this era of knowledge economy, how comptroller division to induct the concepts and practices of knowledge management and make use of it properly、set it into action has been a present important topic for government to display it’s high efficiency and high service quality. This research regards to above explanation, first collect and discuss the related theory of knowledge management, secondly explain present execution situations of our military comptroller division’s knowledge management inducting. finally uses scientific questionnaire analysis methods, including Fuzzy Delphi method、Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process、and Fuzzy theory, providing a systematic critical key successful factors knowledge management estimation model. This model contains four sections, these are: organization culture、strategy and leadership、information technology、and achievements measurements, total up to 22 targets. By way of relating each major section’s relative weight then sorting it, we can understand the priority items when department of defense comptroller division promotes knowledge management, then supplying consulting data for organization’s policy maker to improve their strategy.

Managers’ perception of information management and the role of information and knowledge managers: The Malaysian perspectives

In Knowledge Management (KM) discipline, the nature of KM itself has long been discussed and sometimes even its existence and meaning have been questioned. At the same time, research focusing on the difference between KM and Information Management (IM) was scarce. Therefore we tried through empirical investigation of differences between KM and IM to distinguish the KM from IM and to try to draw a distinct line between both approaches. To fulfil our goal we employed exploratory inductive qualitative research design as not many studies have tried to empirically distinguish KM from IM. For data gathering we used expert semi-structured interviews. The interviews and also results were structured according to 8 perspectives: conceptual, process, technological, organisational, implementation, human resources, economical, and administration. For each perspective, we examined the context of IM and KM and analysed, described and interpreted the differences.

Since the 1990s, organizations have gradually become involved in the transformation of their information technology (IT) management process. In order to determine the direction of IT development in correlation with business needs, a consolidated management approach is imposed. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive assessment of the maturity level of IT management process in an organization. For this purpose, an empirical study in a Romanian public service company was done by using the benchmarking technique and Capability Maturity Model to describe the maturity level of IT management process. Four benchmarking classes, including a number of 24 benchmarks, were taken into account to focus on the main key issues - IT management strategy and IT planning; alignment of business strategy, IT strategy, organizational structure, and IT infrastructure; and information systems security management. The study reveals that the IT management process is mainly focused on technological dimension and less on the managerial one. It was observed that IT managers have a low awareness of managerial skills in planning, organizing, controlling, and leading the IT activities. Practical implication of the study presents two major issues: 1) on one hand, the need to approach a transversal vision in managing the IT process by aligning it to a complex set of choices, reflecting both a strategic and functional perspective and, 2) on the other hand, this study may be useful for managers looking to improve management of the IT department as well as the quality of their services. The study also indicates specific recommendations to refine the IT management process of Romanian companies.

ABSTRACTThe archival and record‐keeping practices of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (SPI) reflect a unique intersection of queer activism, roles and structures borrowed from Catholic religious hierachies, and the organizational demands of 501(c)(3) nonprofit work. This study examines how these contexts shape the individual and community information work of members of SPI with an emphasis on their use and management of information and communication technologies (ICTs). Through findings from interviews with members from 10 different SPI houses within the United States, the paper discusses how ICTs inform the information activism of SPI members. Themes discussed in the paper include how SPI members prioritized ICT choice and use, the role of management of house information via ICTs, and how ICTs impacted member accountability across houses. Findings reveal that compliance with nonprofit regulations informed which ICTs members and houses prioritized and, by extension, shaped their advocacy work. Additionally, findings suggest that community accountability helps institutionalize collective management of house digital assets and their use and management. The paper concludes by contending the complex uses by SPI houses and their members reveal ways that ICT providers ought to consider the complexities of activist work to design more adaptable systems, while supporting nonprofit.

Currently, in Vietnam the application of information technology management in general and the management of hospitals in particular are some essential issues. Some hospitals have started the application of information technology in the comprehensive management of the hospital. It has proved the effectiveness of the application of information technology in management. Previously, Vinh Phuc general hospital and several other hospitals in the country has a number of software applications such as HMIS, Medisosf 2003 but all of them failed Currently, Vinh Phuc general hospital has used YKHOA.NET software of Vetnam Medical Software Development Company Co.,Ltd 3 years, which has got a lot positive results The purpose of the study indicated that of the factors affecting the successful deployment of YKHOA.NET software at the hospital Vinh Phuc province from which to draw experience to deploy this software in all hospitals in the province. This study will be based on well-known technology acceptance model (TAM) with extension to use for analysis. Data of quantitative surveys, survey data were collected to quantify the staff using YKHOA.NET software in Vinh Phuc general hospital . Using software (SPSS17) for analysis data collected. The thesis will report the results of a study on factors affecting the success of the application YKHOA.NET software in Vinh Phuc general hospital . In addition, there are some suggestions for the application of information technology in hospitals management in the province.
