Integrated Security Framework for Private Cloud Computing On-Premise

Cloud computing (CC) has many benefits, so its use has spread rapidly, particularly in the business sector. An important consideration in the acceptance of CC is whether the CC system is dependable, and it can differ among industry and service type. However, little research has considered the effect of dependability (composed of availability, reliability, security, maintainability) on CC acceptance. Especially, group comparisons between high IT-intensive (Hi-ITi) and low IT-intensive (Lo-ITi) industries have not been reported, nor have comparisons between software-as-a-service (SaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS)/infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS). This study aims to explore how the dependability of CC affects users’ intent to accept it, with focus on how this intent is affected by intensity of IT use (by industry) and by the type of CC service used. To validate the proposed model, this study applied structural equation modeling and conducted multi-group analysis. A total of 230 business managers in South Korea represent the sample for our study. For the full dataset, the three dependability attributes (availability, reliability, security) do not affect the usefulness of CC, but do affect the ease of use of CC. The usefulness of CC is a determinant for positive intention to accept CC, whereas the ease of use of CC is not. Maintainability is the strongest determinant of CC adoption for the full dataset, and for all individual groups, except those that use SaaS. For Hi-ITi and Lo-ITi industries, results show that managers show no differences in their perceptions of the effect of dependability attributes (availability, reliability, security) on the usefulness and the ease of CC. The absence of such a difference in managers’ perception also applies to the relationship between two core variables of TAM (i.e., perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use) and behavioral intention to accept CC. For SaaS and PaaS/IaaS, managers have different perceptions of security on the usefulness of CC, and the effect of the usefulness of CC on the intention to accept CC. The findings can provide academic researchers and industry practitioners with a differentiated and in-depth perspective on the understanding and the spread of CC.

The advent of virtualization technologies and cloud computing has improved application provisioning speed, resource utilization, fault-management, availability using auto-failover and performance optimization using auto-scaling in distributed computing environments. However, heterogeneous virtualization technologies offered by different service providers with disparate infrastructure and their orchestration and management systems have also increased the complexity of managing distributed applications and vendor lock-in. In this paper we utilize new computing, management and programming models introduced using the DIME network architecture to provide end to end service visibility and control across distributed physical or virtual infrastructure. Resulting decoupling of application and service transaction management from myriad distributed infrastructure management systems at run-time enables policy based, secure, service mobility across physical servers or virtual machines deployed in data enters or public clouds. Using the new architecture we have implemented service self-repair, auto-scaling, live-migration and end-to-end service transaction security independent of server and network security mechanisms.

With the rapid development of national economy, our demand for power resources has also increased rapidly. The traditional power grid can not be achieved operational status of equipment for effective monitoring and control, we will not be able to ensure the quality and quality of electricity service. Cloud computing and big data: Technologies and applications

Virtual Machines (VMs) have garnered the attention of businesses in cloud computing as they eliminate the requirements for setting up high-cost computing infrastructures for IT-based services. VMs work by virtualizing entire systems, thereby allowing several virtual systems to run on a single hardware unit. VMs, however, are not infallible. This paper aims to explore the potential scenarios where attacks may be used through virtualization in cloud computing and provide a better understanding of how crucial security is for cloud computing.

A key aspect to realize Internet of things applications such as industry automation and smart agriculture is to enable realtime and networked automatic monitoring via cloud computing and computer vision. However, to design a networked monitoring system, it is necessary to realize a balance between the monitoring accuracy and monitoring cost, for instance, between the network traffic to transmit images and the computation load. Although the monitoring cost can be decreased by increasing the sampling interval of cameras, it becomes more likely that informative images cannot be obtained; in other words, the monitoring accuracy decreases with a reduction in the amount of data. Moreover, although on-device image processing can decrease the network traffic, a large computation delay may be incurred, limiting the sampling rate of the monitoring system. The objective of this study was to examine the balance between the monitoring accuracy and cost and to develop a joint optimization technique for the sampling interval and computation offloading to minimize the monitoring cost in a networked monitoring system while ensuring a high monitoring accuracy. The main contributions of this paper are that we prove the joint optimization problem can be solved explicitly and to develop an algorithm to obtain the solution of the joint optimization problem. The simulation results demonstrated that the proposed algorithm can reduce the monitoring cost by 24-48% while maximizing the number of nodes ensured to achieve high monitoring accuracy.

To benefit from cloud computing and the advantages it offers, obstacles regarding the usage and acceptance of clouds have to be cleared. For cloud providers, one way to obtain customers' confidence is to establish security mechanisms when using clouds. The ISO 27001 standard provides general concepts for establishing information security in an organization. Risk analysis is an essential part in the ISO 27001 standard for achieving information security. This standard, however, contains ambiguous descriptions. In addition, it does not stipulate any method to identify assets, threats, and vulnerabilities. In this paper, the authors present a method for cloud computing systems to perform risk analysis according to the ISO 27001. The authors' structured method is tailored to SMEs. It relies upon patterns to describe context and structure of a cloud computing system, elicit security requirements, identify threats, and select controls, which ease the effort for these activities. The authors' method guides companies through the process of risk analysis in a structured manner. Furthermore, the authors provide a model-based tool for supporting the ISO 27001 standard certification. The authors' tool consists of various plug-ins for conducting different steps of their method.

Recently, Cloud computing, as one of the hottest words in IT world, has drawn great attention. Many IT companies such as IBM, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Yahoo and others vigorously develop cloud computing systems and related products to customers. However, there are still some difficulties for customers to adopt cloud computing, in which many security issues exist, because data for a customer is stored and processed in cloud, not in a local machine. This paper briefly introduces cloud computing and its key concepts. In particularly, we intend to discuss security requirements and security issues involving data, application and virtualization in cloud computing, as well as current solutions to these issues.

Recently, technology of cloud computing has been rapidly developed, and it is expected to apply for various network services. Virtual technology is a part of significant technology which has been contributed for the development of cloud computing. Various virtual technologies such as virtual OS and VDE become very important for server and network management in these days. Furthermore, such a virtual technology becomes possible to provide efficient resource management or QoS with virtual network configuration. Thus, it will be important for network construction to provide hardware and software service in near future. Autonomous network configuration in virtual layer is one of such a service. Not only network configuration is constructed in physical layer, but also it should be constructed in virtual layer for providing optimal resource and QoS management. In this paper, Overlay Cloud Computing Service is proposed, and it is consisted of virtual autonomous network configuration in cloud computing service including various server and network services. In our proposal methods, first of all, there are various kinds of user policy such as eco mode, high power mode, and secure mode. Then, virtual network and server configuration is automatically held in virtual layer with the mode setting and hardware configuration. Besides, with observation values of network and server condition, virtual configuration is changed optimally. In this optimal configuration changes, Kalman filter is used for the calculation of network and server condition. Then, with the results of calculation, virtual network topology is changed. In this paper, first, introduction and cloud computing service is discussed. Then, our proposed Overlay Cloud Computing Service by autonomous network configuration is introduced. In the chapter, optimal control method by Kalman filter with observed values is also introduced. Finally, conclusion and future study is discussed.

With the development of cloud computing, its security problem gets more and more attention. This article comprehensively analyses many problems about cloud computing and virtualization security, elaborates the research status of virtualization security and puts forward the development direction in the future. This paper first describes cloud computing architecture, and then introduces the virtualization technology, focusing on virtualization security issues and research status, and takes Xen platform for example, introduces the Xen virtualization security issues, finally the future development was prospected.

RESEARCH ON CLOUD COMPUTING SYSTEM OVERALL DESIGN The overall architecture of cloud computing system This study mainly uses cloud computing technology’s huge amounts of data computing to set up complete mobile Internet data mining analysis system. Realize the analysis for Internet user behavior engine, and according to the user's preferences online habits and behavior, provide users with targeted personalized service and form a unified organic whole of data collection, analysis and service type and marketing strategy to improve enterprise's marketing efficiency. In addition, cloud computing system mainly realizes data collection with the help of FTP server, and makes distributed computing and data batch processing at the system interface. Large data shall be deposited in Hbase database. The system can not only realize mass data storage, but those unstructured data storage. Then through Hive integration layer and summary EIL processing, use MapReduce data analysis model to transmit the processing result into the database. The aspect of vast data management problem in healthcare sector and implementation of cloud computing technique

"Cloud Computing" is a technique which content software and web-services. We use it on pay-per use demand services. Central to all issues related to Cloud service lies under the establishment of an effective load balancing algorithm in a dynamic session. In this paper, we propose an approach of Round Robin technique in a circular way and by this method we try to clarify the load balancing scenario of a cloud server during its execution. It will help to get an effective and fast execution environment of task assigned by the user which helps in to create an effective communication framework between broker and virtual machine (VM) to optimize the time and minimize the cost. We implement it over CloudSim 3.0 under VM scheduling (Space and Time sharing) policies. Scheduling over Virtual Machine and Cloudlets are being analyzed over Round Robin and FCFS scheduling policy.
