Integrating Spring with Other Web Frameworks

China is a country with vast ocean area, long coastline and abundant marine resources. In recent years, the State Council has put forward a series of strategic plans for building a powerful maritime country, which requires to strengthen the capacity of building the omni-directional stereoscopic ocean monitoring system. On September 12, 2017, the State Oceanic Administration issued the fax about notice on carrying out the research on aerospace science and technology serving in marine development. It is worth mentioning that the rapid development of UAV technology has brought new opportunities to the marine application. The UAV system can be used as an important supplement method compared with satellites, ships and helicopters, which could provide a good guarantee for reconnaissance, surveillance, intelligence collection, target positioning and emergency response missions with its high reliability, high efficiency and low cost and low risk. Construction and application of ocean big data platform based on UAV system is a hierarchical architecture including application layer, service layer, access layer and resource layer from top to bottom. Every layer has its responsibility and they cooperate with each other to provide the big data service and application throughout. The platform is obviously superior to others with its diversified, comprehensive, personalized and intelligent characteristics, which can efficiently provide real-time or quasi real-time marine environment data, continuously execute missions in all-weather condition day and night, flexibly approach the accident site and immediately take emergency measures. As what is shown in picture 1, the resource layer provides a wide range of hardware, software and data resources. The access layer provides a comprehensive access means with different kinds of UAV systems, which is the core component of the whole platform. The cruise altitude of CH-AUV, CH-804C, CH-3, CH-4, CH-5 and CH-T4 is respectively 1500m in the sea, 100m~3000m,80m~6400m,200m~7200m,500m~8000m,1000m~25000m, which could fully cover of the space base, air base ,land base and sea base. The max endurance of those above is10h,4h,12h,30h,40h,30days respectively, which makes it possible to execute the missions in all-weather condition. The max payload capacity ranges from 3kg to 1050kg, so the optical, microwave and laser payloads can be carried at the same time. The service layer is a data center providing big data modeling, retrieval, association, mining and integration service where users can get these diversified services and accurate data easily at any time anywhere. The service layer provides data security for the application layer and the application layer gives feedback to the service layer according to the application requirements. These two layers supplement each other to improve the quality and efficiency of the whole platform. The application layer consists of two parts: the basic application and the integrated application. The basic application meet the basic requirements of marine applications including ocean environmental protection, disaster prevention and mitigation, maritime law enforcement, ocean and islands monitoring and emergency response. The integrated application including environmental forecast, disaster warning and situation analysis shows the high intelligence of the platform, which just describes the real smart ocean system. Above all, construction and application of ocean big data platform based on UAV system can not only provide a variety of data accessing methods, but also provide intelligent services and applications. It will bring new chapters to intelligent monitoring, dynamic prediction, systematic analysis, emergency response and other marine applications with its capacity of all directions service, all time accessing and all business coverage.

The article provides a comparative analysis of web frameworks based on the Python programming language. The right choice of a software development tool will allow developers to speed up the process of designing and software implementation of web resources. With the development of programming languages, solutions have begun to appear that make it easier for programmers to create web applications. In recent years, many tools of this type have been developed, including web frameworks. Some of them are used to develop small web applications, and other frameworks are used to create large-scale systems. The existing web frameworks differ from each other, but choosing them can be a difficult task for a programmer. Therefore, it is necessary to specify several parameters that are common to frameworks, according to which the desired web framework should be selected. The selected criteria make it possible to evaluate the frameworks more qualitatively and more objectively and speed up the process of design and software implementation of web resources. Due to the high demand for web applications, developers need to develop cost-effective, secure and well-coded web applications. Analyzing the Django framework, it can be argued that it is the most popular for web development, written in the Python programming language and using the MVC architecture. It is ideal for application projects with limited time and a small budget. If the application is not very voluminous and only simple URL routing and templates with a simple context are needed, then the Flask framework can be used instead of Django. The framework for building a Flask application in the resulting HTML files contains additional tags and scripts. The mechanism of work of processing forms also works differently. Flask stores more information about form fields on pages. The size of HTML files created using the Flask framework turns out to be significantly larger.

Web applications service a gamut of users with a mix of static and dynamic resources: requests come from different devices running different Web agents (typically, Web browsers) with different capabilities. In a majority of such interactions, services are embedded in an HTML page and displayed on a Web browser. Consequently, Web application development has been tightly coupled with the platforms that a particular site intends to support; application developers have been asked to decide where to run what at design time to develop services using location-specific technologies and interweave them with static resources. Such difficulties stem from lack of adequate infrastructural support for platform-agnostic development and deployment framework. This paper presents the design and implementation of a framework for Web application development which hides the heterogeneity of the Internet and the underlying interaction model. It has been meticulously designed such that it is non-intrusive and requires little change to the existing Web infrastructure. The framework is built on top of a programming model that provides a uniform view across different platforms and thus hides the heterogeneity and distributivity of the Internet. Adaptive deployment involves placement specification and compiler translation. The uniformity gives rise to rapid prototyping and development, thereby reducing costs and improving productivity. The adaptiveness enables QoS aware service provisioning.

Secure and quality-of-service-supported service-oriented architecture for mobile cloud handoff process

Web application frameworks are a proven means to accelerate the development of interactive web applications. However, implementing collaborative real-time applications like Google Docs requires specific concurrency control services (i.e. document synchronization and conflict resolution) that are not included in prevalent general-purpose frameworks like jQuery or Knockout. Hence, developers have to get familiar with specific collaboration frameworks (e.g. ShareJS) which substantially increases the development effort. To ease the development of collaborative web applications, we propose a set of source code annotations representing a lightweight mechanism to introduce concurrency control services into mature web frameworks. Those annotations are interpreted at runtime by a dedicated collaboration engine to sync documents and resolve conflicts. We enhanced the general-purpose framework Knockout with a collaboration engine and conducted a developer study comparing our approach to a traditional concurrency control library. The evaluation results show that the effort to incorporate collaboration capabilities into a web application can be reduced by up to 40 percent using the annotation-based solution.

Modern web applications are built on top of web frameworks, which offer benefits such as feature reuse and productivity improvement. By relying on web frameworks, developers can safely handle the multiple needs of real-world web applications. Despite the benefits of web frameworks, they are not intended to address all requirements to create web applications. In particular, the Django web framework provides a rich software ecosystem of reusable applications to support developers with advanced development aspects, such as modern authentication, caching, and deployment. However, currently, it is not clear what solutions developers can reuse or how active and reliable this ecosystem really is. To overcome this gap, this paper proposes an empirical study to assess the Django ecosystem of reusable applications. We analyze 487 reusable applications to understand their target domain, activity level, frequency of tests, and compatibility. We find that reusable applications are mostly concentrated in three categories: developer tools (27.8%), user interface (17.1%), and persistence (15.9%). Overall, these categories have distinct characteristics; for example, developer tools have the highest concentration of young and inactive applications, while persistence applications are the oldest. The reusable applications are 7.7 years old but have 10.17 months without commits, on the median. We also find that 80% of the reusable applications include the supported Python versions, 64% include the Django versions, and only 61% include both Python and Django versions. We detect that upgrading to recent versions of Django and Python may not be supported in some reusable applications, but compatibility issues become less problematic in recent Django and Python versions. Finally, based on our findings, we provide implications for practitioners and researchers.

Along with the development of Internet, Geoinformation Sharing and Open GIS are of increasing importance for GIS application fields. Spatial Information Grid (SIG) is the fundamental application of Grid technology in spatial information application service domain. This paper presents a pilot platform for Resource and Environment Geo-information Sharing for Southwestern China based on Web Services, .NET, OGC, Web GIS and SIG is constructed. The architecture in the pilot platform consists of 3 tiers: application layer, service layer and resource layer. Via the pilot platform, distributed heterogeneous geo-information, software and hardware resource from four provinces and one municipality in Southwestern China is integrated.

This paper presents F4F (Framework For Frameworks), a system for effective taint analysis of framework-based web applications. Most modern web applications utilize one or more web frameworks, which provide useful abstractions for common functionality. Due to extensive use of reflective language constructs in framework implementations, existing static taint analyses are often ineffective when applied to framework-based applications. While previous work has included ad hoc support for certain framework constructs, adding support for a large number of frameworks in this manner does not scale from an engineering standpoint. F4F employs an initial analysis pass in which both application code and configuration files are processed to generate a specification of framework-related behaviors. A taint analysis engine can leverage these specifications to perform a much deeper, more precise analysis of framework-based applications. Our specification language has only a small number of simple but powerful constructs, easing analysis engine integration. With this architecture, new frameworks can be handled with no changes to the core analysis engine, yielding significant engineering benefits. We implemented specification generators for several web frameworks and added F4F support to a state-of-the-art taint-analysis engine. In an experimental evaluation, the taint analysis enhanced with F4F discovered 525 new issues across nine benchmarks, a harmonic mean of 2.10X more issues per benchmark. Furthermore, manual inspection of a subset of the new issues showed that many were exploitable or reflected bad security practice.

MVC is an important module of the Spring Framework. It builds on the powerful Spring IoC container and makes extensive use of the container features to simplify its configuration.

Based on the three popular open sources as Struts, Spring and Hibernate (SSH), an integrated framework for e-human resource (E-HR) is proposed in this paper as an effective web application framework. E-HR is generally regarded as a complicated enterprise information system and the proper application framework is supposed to improve the system expansibility and the enterprise competitiveness as well. The presented framework derives from model-driven approach with high usage of code generation tools and application layout templates. It not only separates the presentation layer, business layer and data persistence layer, but also provides a convenient platform for software reuse. Furthermore, it allows for speeding-up development of Web applications. By comprehensively analyzing the distinct characteristics of the framework such as scalability, maintainability and less coupling complexity, the specific application of the framework in the file management module of the E-HR system is carried out to further shows the advantages of SSH in software development efficiency.
