Interpolation and sampling in small Bergman spaces

Grand and small Bergman spaces of functions holomorphic in the unit disc are introduced. The boundedness of the Bergman projection operator on grand Bergman spaces is proved. The main result consists of estimates for functions in grand and small Bergman spaces near the boundary, which differ from those in the case of the classical Bergman space by a logarithmic multiplier with positive (for grand spaces) or negative (for small spaces) exponent.

It is known that essentially every function which has the wandering property in either space is the composition of a univalent mapping with a classical inner function, and that the identity mapping has this property in both spaces. The present paper gives a partial converse to this, and shows that in both settings there is a large class of bounded univalent mappings which fail to have the wandering property.

On the Bergman space in the unit disk, we study the intertwining relation for Volterra type operators, whose intertwining operator is a composition operator. We also investigate the “compact” intertwining relations for Volterra type operators. As obvious consequences, the essential commutativity of Volterra type and composition operators are characterized. At the end of the paper, we find a new connection between the Bergman space and little Bloch space through this essential commutativity.

The topological structure of the set of (weighted) composition operators has been studied on various function spaces on the unit disc such as Hardy spaces, the space of bounded holomorphic functions, weighted Banach spaces of holomorphic functions with sup-norm, Hilbert Bergman spaces. In this paper we consider this problem for all Bergman spaces $$A_{\alpha }^p$$ with $$p \in (0, \infty )$$ and $$ \alpha \in (-1, \infty )$$ . In this setting we establish a criterion for two composition operators to be linearly connected in the space of composition operators; furthermore, for the space of weighted composition operators, we prove that the set of compact weighted composition operators is path connected, but it is not a component.

In this paper we discuss some basic properties of octonionic Bergman and Hardy spaces. In the first part we review some fundamental concepts of the general theory of octonionic Hardy and Bergman spaces together with related reproducing kernel functions in the monogenic setting. We explain how some of the fundamental problems in well-defining a reproducing kernel can be overcome in the non-associative setting by looking at the real part of an appropriately defined para-linear octonion-valued inner product. The presence of a weight factor of norm 1 in the definition of the inner product is an intrinsic new ingredient in the octonionic setting. Then we look at the slice monogenic octonionic setting using the classical complex book structure. We present explicit formulas for the slice monogenic reproducing kernels for the unit ball, the right octonionic half-space and strip domains bounded in the real direction. In the setting of the unit ball we present an explicit sequential characterization which can be obtained by applying the special Taylor series representation of the slice monogenic setting together with particular octonionic calculation rules that reflect the property of octonionic para-linearity.

The commutative C*-algebras of Toeplitz operators on the classical (weightless) Bergman space were classified in Chapter 9 by pencils of geodesics on the unit disk, considered as the hyperbolic plane. Theorem 10.4.1 shows that the same classes of defining symbols generate commutative C*-algebras of Toeplitz operators on each weighted Bergman space. At the same time the principal question, whether the above cases are the only possible sets of defining symbols which might generate the commutative C * -algebras of Toeplitz operators on each weighted Bergman space, has remained open.

Norm Approximation by Polynomials in Some Weighted Bergman Spaces

This paper studies algebras of functions on the unit disk generated byH∞(D) and bounded harmonic functions. Using these algebras, we characterize compact semicommutators and commutators of Toeplitz operators with harmonic symbols on the Bergman space.

Let \Omega be a subdomain of \mathbb{C} and let \mu be a positive Borel measure on \Omega . In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of the eigenvalues of compact Toeplitz operators T_\mu acting on Bergman spaces on \Omega . Let (\lambda _n(T_\mu)) be the decreasing sequence of the eigenvalues of T_\mu , and let \rho be an increasing function such that \rho (n)/n^A is decreasing for some A&gt;0 . We give an explicit necessary and sufficient geometric condition on \mu in order to have \lambda _n(T_\mu)\asymp 1/\rho (n) . As applications, we consider composition operators C_\varphi , acting on some standard analytic spaces on the unit disc \mathbb{D} . First, we give a general criterion ensuring that the singular values of C_\varphi satisfy s_n(C_\varphi ) \asymp 1/\rho(n) . Next, we focus our attention on composition operators with univalent symbols, where we express our general criterion in terms of the harmonic measure of \varphi (\mathbb{D}) . We finally study the case where \partial \varphi (\mathbb{D}) meets the unit circle in one point and give several concrete examples. Our method is based on upper and lower estimates of the trace of h(T_\mu) , where h is a suitable concave or convex function.

In this paper we construct concrete convolution polynomials for which quantitative results in approximation of functions in Bergman spaces on the unit disk are obtained, with the estimates expressed in terms of higher order \(L^{p}\)-moduli of smoothness and in terms of the \(L^{p}\)-best approximation quantity, \(0<p<+\infty \).

If α>-1-1$$\\end{document}]]> the space of Dirichlet type Dα2 consists of those functions f which are analytic in the unit disc D such that f′ belongs to the weighted Bergman space Aα2. The space D02 is the classical Dirichlet space D. If g is an analytic function in D, we study the generalized Hilbert operator Hg defined by Hg(f)(z)=∫01f(t)g′(tz)dtacting on the spaces Dα2 (0≤α≤1). We obtain a characterization of those g for which Hg is bounded, compact, or Hilbert-Schmidt on the Dirichlet space D. In addition to this, we use our results concerning the operators Hg to study certain Cesàro-type operators C(η) acting on the spaces Dα2 (0≤α≤1). We give also a characterization of the positive finite Borel measures μ in [0, 1) for which a certain Cesàro type operator Cμ associated to μ is bounded on the Bergman space Aα1 (α>-1-1$$\\end{document}]]>). This is an extension of the previously known results for the spaces Aαp with p>11$$\\end{document}]]> and α>-1-1$$\\end{document}]]>.
