Literature Review On Future Technology Trends In User Interface Development In Human Computer Interaction

The rapid expansion of digital technologies has transformed how people interact with information, services, and social networks, making inclusive design an essential priority in user interface (UI) development. While universal usability has long been a guiding principle, individuals with disabilities often encounter significant barriers in accessing digital platforms, ranging from limited visual contrast and non-intuitive navigation to the lack of assistive technology integration. These shortcomings highlight the pressing need for design frameworks that not only comply with accessibility standards but also proactively adapt to diverse user needs. Inclusive interfaces aim to bridge this gap by moving beyond rigid, one-size-fits-all solutions toward adaptive systems that personalize user experiences. Adaptive UI accessibility principles leverage advances in responsive design, artificial intelligence, and multimodal interaction to create dynamic interfaces capable of adjusting in real time to a user’s functional abilities, preferences, and contextual environment. For example, adaptive text resizing, alternative input modalities such as voice or gesture control, and context-aware adjustments can significantly enhance usability for individuals with visual, motor, or cognitive impairments. Furthermore, incorporating accessibility at the initial stages of design ensures equity, reduces retrofitting costs, and fosters broader user acceptance. This paper explores the evolution of inclusive interface design, reviews best practices in adaptive accessibility, and highlights case studies where adaptive UIs have demonstrably improved user engagement and satisfaction for people with disabilities. By embedding adaptive accessibility principles into mainstream UI development, designers and developers can create digital ecosystems that are not only compliant but also genuinely empowering, supporting full participation in the digital society.

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has the potential to revolutionize teaching and learning, particularly in the development of students’ critical thinking skills. This study explores science instructors' familiarity, perceptions, and experiences with using AI to enhance students' critical thinking skills, as well as the level of institutional support for AI integration in teaching. A quantitative survey was conducted among 20 science instructors from higher education institutions in Isabela, Philippines. The findings reveal that while instructors acknowledge AI's potential to improve educational outcomes, there is a significant gap in formal AI training and literacy among educators. Positive correlations were found between AI literacy, AI integration, and critical thinking development, suggesting that as AI literacy increases, AI integration and enhancement of critical thinking skills also increase. Regression analysis identified AI integration as a significant predictor of critical thinking development. Challenges remain in the effective implementation of AI, including concerns about overreliance on AI-generated responses and the need for clear assessment guidelines. Interestingly, years of teaching experience did not significantly influence participants’ AI literacy, perceptions, or integration. This study highlights the importance of developing comprehensive AI literacy programs for educators and integrating AI into curriculum structures to balance AI-enhanced learning with human-centered pedagogy. These findings emphasize the need for thoughtful implementation and ongoing research to effectively leverage AI in promoting critical thinking skills in science education.

Human-computer interaction for virtual-real fusion

The development of computer technology has materialized into the term of human computer interaction. Research studies in human computer interaction studied young age groups that are educated and technically inclined. This paper will study the mental model in Human Computer Interaction that could be useful in some area. There are a number of types of this review paper on the Internet. One will lay out the current approach, result, trends, in the human computer interaction and the other approach will look into research construction that have been around long before but are now forgotten. In this paper, the author is also looking at the landscape in the emotional intelligence of a user so that they are more user like, fidelity prototyping. The development and design of an automated system that performs this task is still being undertaken. The notion of human-computer interaction is conceived as a result of the evolution of the development criteria of computer technology. The next generation of individuals (those at a younger age cohort) in which is termed an educated, technical, or at least knowledgeable individual will also be the focus of individual (tech) research experiments in human-computer interaction. Human-computer interaction (HCI) refers to both technical and human behaving aspects. The central tenets of practical studies in human-computer interaction are to reveal implicit knowledge about human behaviour and human interaction with technology. Resilience is set of behaving contextually taken collectively reacts to challenges. The term resilience has been applied to virtually everything from the economy, real estate, sports, psychology, business, and education, and the list could and can go on. Resilience is mainly comprised or made of a number of different abilities and skills as a way to be able to relate effectively to others, build relationships, self-efficacy, optimism, and self-awareness, creating meaning from other experiences form these are essential combination of competencies. In this manner people should use this in order to optimize the value of the resilience of an organization. This becomes important resourcefulness knowledge of the help available to increasing capacity to deal with the challenges facing change, overcoming (wasting time) relative to everything that could be done alternatively.

This study investigates the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) integration on teachers’ professional identity and job satisfaction using a quantitative research design involving 251 respondents. Descriptive statistics showed relatively high levels of AI integration (M = 3.98, SD = 0.62) and professional identity (M = 4.12, SD = 0.58), indicating strong engagement with AI tools and a well-defined sense of professional role among teachers. Pearson correlation analysis revealed a moderately strong, statistically significant positive relationship between AI integration and professional identity (r = 0.612, p = 0.000), demonstrating that increased use of AI is associated with a strengthened professional identity. Mediation analysis further indicated that institutional factors significantly influence the relationship between AI integration and job satisfaction, with AI integration positively predicting institutional support (β = 0.54, p = 0.000) and institutional factors strongly predicting job satisfaction (β = 0.47, p = 0.000). Both a significant direct effect (β = 0.29, p = 0.001) and a strong indirect effect (β = 0.25, p = 0.000) were found, confirming partial mediation. These findings highlight that AI not only enhances teachers’ identity and satisfaction but that successful implementation relies heavily on institutional readiness and support. Overall, the results underscore the importance of adopting teacher-centered AI strategies that reinforce professional identity, reduce workload, and enhance well-being.

The question of whether artificial intelligence (AI) can be considered conscious and therefore should be evaluated through a moral lens has surfaced in recent years. In this paper, we argue that whether AI is conscious is less of a concern than the fact that AI can be considered conscious by users during human-AI interaction, because this ascription of consciousness can lead to carry-over effects on human-human interaction. When AI is viewed as conscious like a human, then how people treat AI appears to carry over into how they treat other people due to activating schemas that are congruent to those activated during interactions with humans. In light of this potential, we might consider regulating how we treat AI, or how we build AI to evoke certain kinds of treatment from users, but not because AI is inherently sentient. This argument focuses on humanlike, social actor AI such as chatbots, digital voice assistants, and social robots. In the first part of the paper, we provide evidence for carry-over effects between perceptions of AI consciousness and behavior toward humans through literature on human-computer interaction, human-AI interaction, and the psychology of artificial agents. In the second part of the paper, we detail how the mechanism of schema activation can allow us to test consciousness perception as a driver of carry-over effects between human-AI interaction and human-human interaction. In essence, perceiving AI as conscious like a human, thereby activating congruent mind schemas during interaction, is a driver for behaviors and perceptions of AI that can carry over into how we treat humans. Therefore, the fact that people can ascribe humanlike consciousness to AI is worth considering, and moral protection for AI is also worth considering, regardless of AI’s inherent conscious or moral status.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) and GUI (Graphical User Interface) are the two most cutting-edge technologies. These technologies individually can make a comprehensive change in industries and alter economic and social interactions and connections. In general, Now-a-days AI is integrated with human technology and used in some wide range of sectors like healthcare, finance to education, banking, manufacturing, transportation, etc. GUI is used in gaming, designing, AR (Augmented reality) and VR (Virtual reality), media, smart home devices, etc., Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Graphical User Interface is beneficial for both users and app developers. The convergence of AI and GUI gives dynamic applications like Data Visualization, Insights, Smart assistants, Adaptions, Navigations, and Predictive analytics. This integration will increase the ease of access for new information to users. Now we are facing some general problems based on these technologies like Adaptive User Interfaces, Automated user interface testing, AI-Enhanced data visualization, Intelligent GUI Design Assistance, Real-Time Emotion Recognition for GUI Adaptation, etc., User interfaces are often designed with a one-size-fits-all approach, which does not account for individual user preferences and abilities. Designing perceptive and attractive GUIs requires significant space and time. This chapter focus on how can we develop a UI (User Interface) with base of AI which can be capable of solving the above obstacles and gives the simple objectives and technical solutions. By this integration we can execute some future projects like AI-Enhanced Customer Support Portals, Adaptive Gaming Interfaces, Interactive Financial Management Systems, and more.

Introduction: The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into higher education is swiftly revolutionizing pedagogical methodologies, in conjunction with learning processes and research paradigms. The interdisciplinary potential of AI within academic settings was examined in this study, employing a case study conducted at the University of Tirana. Through the utilization of bibliometric analysis and survey-based research, this study comprehensively investigates the swiftly emerging trends in AI applications, students' significant familiarity with AI technologies, as well as the substantial challenges impeding broader adoption. The bibliometric analysis highlights significant exponential growth in AI research, particularly within pivotal domains such as finance and accounting, thereby emphasizing the swiftly increasing relevance of blockchain and automation. The survey indicates a robust enthusiasm among students for AI in educational settings. More than 90 percent of students actively incorporate AI tools in their project work. Nonetheless, resource limitations and ethical considerations, including privacy, data security, and algorithmic bias, pose considerable challenges to the widespread adoption of AI, despite the prevailing enthusiasm. Objective: The aim of this research is to examine the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the realm of higher education. This analysis concentrates on the applications, advantages, and challenges associated with AI, with the intent of advancing interdisciplinary research and educational methodologies at the University of Tirana. Theoretical Framework: This research expands upon the principles of AI adoption within the educational sector, alongside an examination of ethical considerations and multidisciplinary collaboration. Theories pertaining to technological integration and adaptive learning systems serve as the foundational framework for comprehending the implications of AI in the realm of education. Method: The methodology employs bibliometric analysis to examine AI-related research trends utilizing data from SCOPUS and conducts a survey to assess students' familiarity with and perceptions of AI. Data collection was facilitated through bibliometric instruments and an online survey incorporating Likert-scale and open-ended questions. Results and Discussion: The results underscore an increased focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain within scholarly research, wherein students exhibit considerable engagement and interest in AI applications. Nevertheless, limitations in resources and ethical issues, including privacy and bias, persist as primary challenges. The discourse underscores the imperative for investment in infrastructure and the incorporation of ethical education. Research Implications: This research highlights the imperative for higher education institutions to integrate artificial intelligence tools, cultivate adaptive curricula, and address ethical considerations in order to adequately prepare students for a future shaped by AI. The implications of these findings also pertain to educational policy and the formulation of interdisciplinary research strategies. Originality/Value: The study contributes by delivering a comprehensive bibliometric analysis and gives insights into student engagement with artificial intelligence. Its significance resides in presenting actionable recommendations to enhance the integration of artificial intelligence in higher education.

This workshop aims to design advanced empathic user interfaces for in-vehicle displays, particularly for high-level automated vehicles (SAE level 3 or higher). Incorporating model-based approaches for understanding human emotion regulation, it seeks to enhance the user-vehicle interaction. A unique aspect of this workshop is the integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the design process. The workshop will explore generative AI’s potential in crafting contextual responses and its impact on user experience and interface design. The agenda includes brainstorming on various driving scenarios, developing emotion-oriented intervention methods, and rapid prototyping with AI tools. The anticipated outcome includes practical prototypes of affective user interfaces and insights on the role of AI in designing human-machine interactions. Through this workshop, we hope to contribute to making automated driving more accessible and enjoyable.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into teacher education (TE) is said to change, or at least challenge, traditional pedagogical approaches and ways of preparing teachers to teach in an increasingly technological world. This paper identifies emerging themes and critical issues arising from a cross-analysis of the papers in this special issue. It offers insights that should be considered by both teacher educators and TE institutions. The following themes are discussed: AI tools and technologies in TE: Use cases, affordances and constraints; AI literacy in TE; (Teacher) educators’ identities; Pedagogical transformation and innovation through AI; and Ethical and political issues of AI in TE. Moving beyond adoption with optimism or scepticism, this paper highlights what AI enables and limits. We conclude by reflecting on how AI in the context of TE might be used without losing sight of ethical considerations, human interaction, and the broader social, pedagogical, and political aspects.

The ongoing integration of IT systems is offering computer users a wide range of new (networked) services and the access to an explosively growing host of multimedia information. Consequently, apart from the currently established computer tasks, the access and exchange of information is generally considered as the driving computer application of the next decade. Major advances are required in the development of the human-computer interface, in order to enable end-users with the most varied backgrounds to master the added functionalities of their computers with ease, and to make the use of computers in general an enjoyable experience. Research efforts in computer science are concentrated on user interfaces that support the highly evolved human perception and interaction capabilities better than today's 2D graphic user interfaces with a mouse and keyboard. Thanks to the boosting computing power of general purpose computers, highly interactive interfaces are becoming feasible supporting a variety of input and output modalities. Multimodal interaction not only makes working with a computer more natural and intuitive but can substantially help to disambiguate the exchange of information in both directions between the user and the computer. Recent approaches aim to create a (virtual) three-dimensional interaction environment where users find a clear arrangement of the media objects, paths and links used, as well as highly responsive tools supporting continuous interaction. The article overviews the current concepts in general and describes an approach developed by the authors in greater detail as a case study of a 3D PC (the mUltimo3D project). This particular approach uses 3D displays which do not require stereo glasses to present a 3D graphic user interface. A newly developed 3D display makes it possible to seamlessly integrate the virtual interaction space into the real working space. Video trackers remotely sensing the user offer new modalities for unencumbered interaction with the displayed objects. Interface agents watch and interpret the user's actions with regard to the task context, fuse the input from different interaction modalities, and organize the visual interaction space accordingly. The concept aims at the vision of a command-free, continuous human-computer interaction. A test bed has been implemented and used for system evaluation with users. First results are reported.

This study explores the perception of some university professors regarding the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education teaching. Using a qualitative approach, fifty professors from various disciplines were carefully selected and interviewed to obtain their perspectives on the impact of AI in the educational field. The professors responded to a semi-structured questionnaire covering six key aspects: their general perception of AI in education, the use of AI-based tools, perceived benefits, concerns, recommendations for successful implementation, and the future vision of AI’s role in higher education. The data obtained show a positive attitude towards AI, highlighting its potential to personalize learning, automate repetitive tasks, and improve educational efficiency. However, concerns also emerged, such as the privacy of students’ data, the cost of accessing AI with better tools, and the risk of dehumanizing the educational process. Respondents emphasized the importance of a gradual implementation, combining technology with human interaction, and ensuring adequate training for teachers and students. This study contributes to the understanding of how AI can be effectively integrated into university teaching, providing a foundation for future research and educational practices. It concludes that AI has the potential to significantly transform higher education, as long as it is handled with care and responsibility.

Abstract. Introduction. Today, characterized by the rapid digitalization and intellectualization of the global economy, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in transportation services is gaining ground. Consequently, maritime logistics, as part of international trade, places new demands on the training of highly qualified personnel capable of continuously acquiring professional competencies to optimize processes, improve safety, and enhance economic sustainability. This article examines the challenge of training future transport industry specialists capable of adapting to the continuous integration of innovative digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the maritime economic sector. The aim of this article is to develop a scientifically sound concept for training personnel for the transport industry that takes into account the specifics of integrating artificial intelligence into the maritime economic sphere. The methodological foundations of the study include comparative pedagogical and personal-activity approaches, systems analysis, and modeling methods. Advanced concepts and theories in the fields of artificial intelligence, pedagogy, and transport economics are used as a methodological basis. Research Results. The author attempts to present conceptual aspects of training specialists for the transport industry, taking into account the specifics of AI implementation in the maritime economic sector. Based on an analysis of the current state of AI integration in the maritime economic sector, a core set of competencies and skills necessary for working with AI in transport is identified and the structure of a training model for transport specialists is presented. The conclusion describes the potential impact of this model on the development of the maritime industry as a whole.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Indonesia’s education sector is transforming personalized learning and institutional management, offering improvements in student engagement, administrative efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. However, widespread adoption remains limited due to technological disparities, algorithmic bias, data privacy concerns, and low AI literacy among educators, especially in rural and under-resourced areas. This study aims to explore the role of AI in Indonesian education, identify key implementation challenges, and propose strategic approaches for ethical and inclusive integration. Using a qualitative descriptive analysis, the research synthesizes data from academic literature, policy documents, and case studies to evaluate the current landscape of AI-driven educational transformation. Findings reveal critical gaps in digital infrastructure, regulatory policy, and educator readiness, which restrict the scalability and effectiveness of AI applications. While adaptive learning technologies have enhanced individualized instruction, their deployment is uneven, exacerbated by regional inequalities. AI also supports educational administration, yet unresolved concerns about data transparency and privacy persist. This study concludes by proposing a multi-stakeholder approach for sustainable and equitable AI integration within Indonesia’s educational context. Recommendations include targeted infrastructure development, AI literacy initiatives for educators, robust data governance frameworks, and culturally responsive AI solutions. These insights contribute to ongoing efforts to bridge the digital divide and optimize AI's potential in education.

Understanding the implications of AI is crucial for navigating these changes effectively. This study aims to investigate the transformative impact of AI on traditional Indonesian businesses, specifically analyzing the opportunities and challenges associated with AI adoption and its implications for business strategies and operations. Utilizing a qualitative method, this study examines the influence of AI technologies on traditional Indonesian businesses. The study compiles data from academic literature, industry reports, and real-world case studies to analyze the intricate dynamics between AI technologies and human behavior. The findings reveal that AI integration offers numerous opportunities for traditional businesses in Indonesia, such as enhanced operational efficiency, improved customer experience, and innovation potential. However, significant challenges, including high implementation costs, data privacy concerns, and the lack of skilled AI talent, hinder widespread adoption. Despite these challenges, businesses that successfully navigate them can gain a competitive advantage in the digital age. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing fresh insights into the transformative impact of AI on traditional Indonesian businesses. It synthesizes recent research findings and case studies, offering valuable guidance for businesses aiming to leverage AI for strategic advantage.
