IT has a role to play in the current debate on climate change. The current discourse on IT and climate change views IT in a negative light, as a polluter. What remains unrecognised is the critical role of IT as a source of solutions to the climate change problem. We live in a massive, inter-connected Planet Earth Supply Chain. IT provides a range of tools to model, manage and optimise this supply chain.The University of Wollongong Carbon-Centric Computing Initiative (CCCI) seeks to seed a program of research that addresses the climate change problem with a range of computing technologies including (but not limited to): optimisation technologies, supply chain management technologies, business process management/process improvement technologies, grid computing (e.g., utility grid) and virtualisation technologies, ICT-enabled conferencing and collaboration technologies as well as ICT for knowledge sharing and network-centric advocacy.The contours of this new and exciting space for research and industry development are described in this report. The report provides insights into a set of representative points within this new space. It describes how existing web infrastructure could be leveraged to devise the optimising web a massive, globally inter-connected network of optimisers helping support decisions that would reduce the global carbon footprint. It describes how computer simulation models can provide the basis for sustainable manufacturing and environmental management in the enterprise. It describes how IT based techniques can help support supply chain optimisation audits to determine if and how value might be best derived from the judicious use of optimisation technology. It describes the critical role ICT-enabled collaboration technologies can play in reducing the carbon footprint. It also addresses the key role ICT-based knowledge sharing and network-centric advocacy can play in obtaining broader social engagement in this debate. The report addresses the policy dimension to these issues and the need for an industry-academia consortium to drive such an agenda forward.The DSL: The Decision Systems Lab has engaged in cutting-edge research in the areas of industrial optimisation, business process management, service-oriented computing, software engineering and the applications of artificial intelligence technology for over a decade. The National Academies Board on Human Systems Integration (BOHSI) has organized this session exploring the state of the art and research and design frontiers relating to the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to Healthcare. Advances in AI, machine learning, and robotics promise to revolutionize access to and quality of healthcare. At the same time lessons learned from earlier applications of AI technologies suggest a need to carefully consider the user and use context and the need for effective human-machine teaming design to avoid brittle systems that fail to be used or worse that negatively impact patient safety. The Panel brings together prominent researchers from both the Human Factors and Computer Science and AI communities to discuss promising applications, challenges and short-falls and ways forward for achieving the promise of enhanced delivery of health care through application of AI technologies.

When ChatGPT-3.5 entered the consumer-grade market, artificial intelligence (AI) technology has developed at a rapid pace and become an important driving force for the progress of human civilization. Up to now, the landscape of large AI models has gradually presented a situation of a hundred schools of thought contending, playing important roles in industries such as industry, healthcare, education, and finance. However, it is undeniable that there are structural resistances to the application of artificial intelligence technology in social, ethical, and other aspects. Therefore, this paper, from an organizational perspective, comprehensively analyzes existing literature on organizational inertia and its impact on the application of artificial intelligence, clarifying the definition and dimensions of organizational inertia as well as the impact of each dimension on the application of artificial intelligence technology. The study found that organizational inertia has six internal dimensions: structure, resources, cognition, path, routines, and culture. Moreover, through searching for studies on the impact of organizational inertia on the application of artificial intelligence, it was found that the number of relevant representative papers is relatively limited, and only the structural, resource, cognitive, and path dimensions of organizational inertia have been verified to hinder organizations' application of artificial intelligence technology, while there is a lack of research on the impact of the routines and cultural dimensions of organizational inertia on the application of artificial intelligence technology

Battlefield Spectrum Management (BSM) has become an increasingly complex function in modern warfare. Many factors contribute to this situation, two of which are the proliferation of dedicated electronic warfare (EW) systems and the exponential increase in speed and volume of information exchange. Manual BSM techniques are no longer responsive to the modern electronic warfare battlefield requirements. Automated aids such as the Army Tactical Frequency Engineering System (ATFES) and adaptive HF technology to assist in network management have been introduced, are helpful, but do not provide a total solution. The application of artificial intelligence (AI) and expert system (ES) technology is explored in this paper as a means to enhance modern BSM.

In this paper, the application of Artificial intelligence (AI) methods in power system protection and inspection has been discussed. In this paper particularly AI application of line scout Robot is used. Line scout robot is an inspection based Artificial intelligence Robot. Line Scout robot is able to work on the power lines while they are operating (at very high tension). The robot can patrol in a substation and inspect equipment with a visible-light camera and thermograph. It has possess a vast array of cameras and tools that allow the remote operators to inspect and conduct (albeit minor) repairs on the power lines without needing to put the off-service or risking their lives. It is preventive arrangement for detection of fault (very high temperature). This article will explore the application of artificial intelligence based image technology in the field of cultural relic and museum restoration. Firstly, the importance of restoring cultural relics and artifacts was introduced, as well as the limitations and shortcomings of traditional restoration methods. Secondly, elaborate on the development and application of artificial intelligence technology, as well as its potential and advantages in the field of cultural relic restoration. Next, we will introduce the application of artificial intelligence based image technology in cultural relic restoration, including image enhancement, segmentation, recognition, and reconstruction. Finally, the application prospects and challenges of artificial intelligence based image technology in the field of cultural relic restoration were summarized, and future research directions and suggestions were proposed.

The subject of this article's are scientific studies dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence in various aspects of human life in general, and its application in law enforcement activities in particular. The focus of this study is a comprehensive legal assessment of the potential application of artificial intelligence technologies in law enforcement activities, as well as the identification of legal and organizational issues arising during their implementation and practical application. The importance of the research is determined by the necessity for a thorough and comprehensive analysis of the possibilities for broader integration of artificial intelligence technologies in law enforcement activities. The author analyzes the existing scientific works in the Russian legal reality that explore the potential applications of artificial intelligence within the law enforcement system, highlights several areas of using artificial intelligence in law enforcement agencies, identifies problems arising from the use of modern intellectual technologies, and offers recommendations for overcoming these challenges. The methodology of the research consists of regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation, as well as the works of Russian scholars. Both general scientific and specialized research methods were employed in the article. The novelty of the research lies in the author's comprehensive approach to the examined issue, the attempt to systematize the existing scientific experience of Russian scholars, and the formulation of recommendations regarding the studied problem. As a result of the research, the author reaches the following conclusions: the study of the use of artificial intelligence in law enforcement activities cannot be fragmented; it must be conducted within a cohesive interdisciplinary approach that allows for the development of a scientifically grounded concept of the functioning of intelligent systems in law enforcement activities; the regulatory framework governing the procedure for the implementation and operation of algorithmic technologies must be characterized by a high degree of legal certainty, internal coherence, and completeness, excluding the possibility of ambiguous interpretation of the conditions and limits of using artificial intelligence in criminal law relations; the digital transformation of the law enforcement system should be proactive rather than reactive; a significant condition for the effective functioning of intelligent technologies is the creation of a reliable infrastructure for data storage, processing, and protection, which includes technical, organizational, and legal mechanisms for ensuring information security, as well as the continuous updating of data sets and the integration of software complexes used.

In my country’s development strategy, it is clearly required to promote the development of AI and regard the power system as one of the main application areas of AI. The rapid development and advancement of artificial intelligence can provide powerful tools in many aspects of the power system, including power system planning and design, coordinated control, simulation, prediction and estimation, diagnosis and identification. Herein, we summarized past research on AI and reviewed the challenges faced and future development opportunities associated with the application of AI in gastrointestinal diseases.Therefore, herein we collected 17,758 data on AI techniques to identify and diagnose 13 common digestive disorders.

The development of the domestic Internet has promoted the reform and progress of the pharmaceutical industry, but the policy development of digital applications needs to catch up. The digital transformation of the pharmaceutical industry faces problems such as the need for digital technology support for new drug research and development, medical data security problems, and the need for service platform construction for pharmaceutical enterprises. Finally, this article provides feasible suggestions for the better application of AI technology in Pakistan’s pharmaceutical industry by reviewing the research status, development trends, and development bottlenecks of AI technology in this area.
