Preface

It was a great pleasure to welcome all the participants from different countries to the 2021 6th International Symposium on Advances in Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering (ISAEECE 2021) in Nanjing, China during March 12-14, 2021. ISAEECE 2021 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of electrical, electronics and computer engineering to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in electrical, electronics and computer engineering and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in electrical, electronics and computer engineering and related areas.The conference model was divided into two sessions, including oral presentations and keynote speeches. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given 15 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. Then in the second part, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches. In this conference, we were greatly honor to have invited four outstanding researchers to serve as our Conference Chairman.During the conference, we invited three industry elites to present their insightful speeches. The first keynote speaker, Dr. Sunil Kumar Jha, from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China. He presented a speech: Data Fusion Approaches in Human Body Odor Data Mining. The objective of the present research talk is to introduce audience about the data fusion and human body odor and to demonstrate research results related to search for an optimal subset of VOCs in body odor, which can produce differentiation in an individual by using the combination of analytical methods and chemometric analysis. The second keynote speaker, Prof. Chunbo Xiu, from Tiangong University, China. He shared a speech on his specialty related to Memristive Cellular Neural Network & Its Dynamic Characteristic Analysis. He demonstrated that chaotic memristive CNN system can be used in the secure communication by the chaos synchronization based on sliding mode control. Assoc. Prof. Pavel Loskot, from Zhejiang University-University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Institute (ZJUI), our third keynote speakers. He presented a speech: Monte Carlo Simulations Revisited. Their insightful speeches made every participant praised this conference for disseminating useful knowledge.We were glad to share with you that we received lots of submissions from the conference and we selected a bunch of high-quality papers and compiled them into the proceedings after rigorously reviewed them. These papers feature following topics but are not limited to: Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and other related topics. All the papers have been through rigorous review and process to meet the requirements of International publication standard.We were grateful to the International/National advisory committee, keynote speakers, session chairs, organising committee members, student volunteers and administrative assistance of the management section of University, including accounts section, digital media and publication house. Guest Editorial: Situational awareness of integrated energy systems

It was a great pleasure to welcome all the participants from different countries to the 2020 International Conference on Smart Grid and Energy Engineering in Guilin, China during November 13-15, 2020. This three-day conference was organized by AEIC Academic Exchange Information Centre and co-organized by GUANGZHOU Computer Society. SGEE 2020 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Smart Grid and Energy Engineering to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in Smart Grid and Energy Engineering and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Smart Grid and Energy Engineering and related areas.The conference model was divided into two sessions, including oral presentations and keynote speeches. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given 15 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. Then in the second part, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches.In this conference, we are greatly honored to have invited Prof. Om P. Malik from University of Calgary, Canada to serve as our Conference Chairmen. During the conference, we were pleased to invite six distinguished experts to present their insightful speeches. The first keynote speaker, Prof. Z.Y. Dong, The University of New South Wales, Australia, held a speech on Promoting Renewable Energy with Virtual Power Plants. In this talk, the energy market rules which provides opportunities for VPP development were presented, together with methodologies on smart energy management for VPP applications. Prof. Juan Yu from Chongqing University, China, talked about Data-driven Methods for Operational Reliability Assessment of Power Systems Integrated with High-penetration Renewables. Her speech focusing on the computational efficiency of the operational reliability assessment in power systems that contain high penetration renewables, this presentation lays a theoretical foundation to support practical applications of an online high-accuracy operational reliability assessment. Prof. Alberto Borghetti, University of Bologna, Italy, shared a speech on his specialty related to Scheduling problems in local energy communities. This presentation is aimed to describe some models that could be useful for the operation of energy communities and distribution networks where trading between neighbors becomes significant. A/Prof. Farhad Shahnia, Murdoch University, Australia, made an insightful speech on Recent and Future Research on Microgrid Clusters. This talk briefly introduced the progress of research in this field around the world and Australia, and also discussed some of the technical challenges associated with interconnection of neighbouring microgrids as a key step to improve their survivability in the course of unexpected imbalances between the demand and the available generation from intermittent renewable resources. Prof. Xinyu Chen, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, delivered a speech: Towards Higher Penetration of Renewable Challenge and Opportunities. This talk focused on deepen the understanding of how the environmental regulations and low carbon polices influence the operation, planning and markets for power systems in different counties. As the last keynote speaker, Prof. Shouxiang Wang from Tianjin University, China. His research area: microgrid, smart distribution system, uncertainty analysis of power system.We are glad to share with you that we received lots of submissions from the conference and we selected a bunch of high-quality papers and compiled them into the proceedings after rigorously reviewed them. These papers feature following topics but are not limited to: Smart Grid Information Engineering, Electric Drive and Applications, Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and other related topics. The 2020 4th International Conference on Water Conservancy, Hydropower and Building Engineering (WCHBE 2020) was planned to be held in Lanzhou, China during July 3-5, 2020. WCHBE 2020 was hosted by AEIC Academic Exchange Information Center. Due to the impact of COVID-19, many communities from all over the world were under strict health measures and strict travel restrictions, and participants of 2020 4th International Conference on Water Conservancy, Hydropower and Building Engineering (WCHBE 2020) also meet with the difficulty of travel restrictions. For communities, if our conference was not held in a virtual form, it would add huge work on traffic system, Exit-Entry system, medical system, etc., which is quite a serious issue, to actively respond to the call of the government, to strengthen the protection work, to effectively reduce people gathering and prevent COVID-19, considering the situation that most of the authors would like to publish their articles and make academic communications as scheduled, WCHBE 2020 was held on-line instead of postponing the conference. It was a challenge, not only to the organizers, but also to the participants who were delivering their speeches using videoconference tools, under different time zones.The conference is an international conference for the presentation of technological advances and research results in the fields of water conservancy, hydropower and building engineering. The conference will bring together about 97 leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from China, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico and Thailand. The conference model was divided into two parts, including keynote presentations and online discussion. In the first part, each keynote speakers were allocated 30 minutes to present their talks via Zoom. After the keynote talks, all participants joined in a WeChat communication group to discuss more about the talks and presentations. We are honored to have invited three distinguished experts as our keynote speakers. Prof. Hengjia Zhang, Gansu Agricultural University, China, was the first one to perform a thought-provoking speech on Optimization of Limited Irrigation Schedules for Spring Maize (Zea mays) in a Desert Oasis Region. He also was the Conference Chair who mainly devoted to the teaching and research work of the efficient use of agricultural water and soil resources. Secondly, Prof. Shaohua Marko Hsu from Feng Chia University held his speech on Using Porous Material for Riverbank and Riverbed Protection. Thirdly, Prof. Ahmad Safuan Bin A. Rashid from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia talked about Application of UAV-TLS Photogrammetry in Determination of Rock Slope Stability. Their insightful speeches had triggered heated discussion in the second session of the conference. The WeChat discussion lasted for about 30 minutes. Every participant praised this conference for disseminating useful and insightful knowledge.We are glad to share with you that we still received lots of submissions from the conference during this special period. Problem. The quality of higher education is achieved by compliance with the conditions for the implementation of educational activities and learning outcomes with the requirements of legislation and higher education standards, professional and international standards, as well as the needs of stakeholders and society. Obviously, the requirements, recommendations and opinions of stakeholders play one of the main roles in the process of ensuring the quality of higher education. It should be noted that without ensuring and improving the quality of higher education, it is impossible to obtain accreditation of an educational program (EP) in the relevant specialty. Goal. Obtaining feedback from employers and representatives of the academic community with experience in working and teaching in 141 specialties "Electrical Power Engineering and Electromechanics" to improve the quality of education in the Master's EP "Electric vehicles and energy-saving technologies". Methodology. The method of questioning consists in obtaining information by means of written answers of respondents to a system of standardized questions. Methods of information processing and synthesis method - the study of an object in its integrity, in the unity and interconnection of its parts. Results. An analytical review of decisions on EP and publications on the introduction of innovative teaching methods and methods of maintaining the quality of the educational process into the educational process was carried out. In a number of educational components, the list of literature will be expanded due to the technical documentation of automakers and references to modern research by foreign authors. It is proposed to improve the existing and develop new laboratory and practical work on modern equipment purchased through the CybPhys project and on the equipment of interested employers. It is proposed to expand the practical component of the educational components of the EP related to the cycle of professional training disciplines. It is proposed to add the topic "Alternative power sources" to the cycle of disciplines of the applicant's free choice (professional training section). Originality. It is proposed to conduct practical and laboratory classes and conduct research on the topic of the thesis directly in production and in the daily work of service stations and car service. Practical value. Based on the results of the feedback received from stakeholders, appropriate changes will be made to the courses that will improve the quality of education and make the master's EP "Electric vehicles and energy-saving technologies" even more relevant and relevant for the labor market in the field of electric power, electrical engineering and electromechanics, in particular, with regard to the industry electric vehicles and energy saving technologies.

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 2022 3rd International Conference on Smart Grid and Energy Engineering (SGEE 2022), held during November 25th-27th, 2022 in Nanjing, China (virtual conference). The conference is a continuation of the international academic conferences in 2020 and 2021, respectively.The primary goal of SGEE 2022 is to provide an international forum for researcher and practitioner to share ideas in all aspect of how to enhance the vocational capability related to Smart Grid and Energy Engineering under the changing and advancing domestic and international situation. Besides, the conference promoted scientific and academic information interchange among all the participants working all over the world. And it will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in related fields.During the conference, we had about 100 participations both as speakers and participants, including researchers, teachers, students, industrial experts, and professionals. To make this conference on schedule, we had a three-part plenary including a keynote speech delivered by resources persons from different parts of China and other countries. All the keynote speakers have delivered expertise lectures by imparting the latest findings from their respective research domains. Among them, Prof. Yifei Wu from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China addressed a keynote speech on the title Research on Economical DC Interruption Technology. In his presentation, the economical DC interruption technology based on arc voltage enhancement was proposed, in which the complex current commutation module was avoided and reduced the cost and volume by more than 30% compared with the existing schemes. Base on the research, a series of 10kV DC circuit breakers based on arc voltage enhancement have been developed and applied in Jiangsu and other DC distribution demonstration projects. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the participants to interact with the experts and specialists to get their advice or suggestions.The proceedings of SGEE 2022 contain quantities of excellent papers grouped by topics. All submissions were performed double blind review to check their quality of content, level of innovation, significance, originality and legibility, covering but not limited to the following topics: Smart Grid Technologies, Power Transmission and Distribution, Renewable Energy, Electricity and Energy System Applications, etc.We would like to express our gratitude to all the participants for their fruitful work and excellent contribution to the success of SGEE 2022. 2021 Asia-Pacific Conference on Image Processing, Electronics and Computers (IPEC 2021) was taken place on 14-16 April, 2021 via online platform due to the pandemic of COVID-19. In light of the prevention and control of COVID-19 and travel restrictions worldwide, the organizer could not hold the conference physically, that’s why we have to adjust the format to online meeting to avoid personnel gatherings, so that the conference could go ahead as scheduled.IPEC 2021 provided an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology and applications of image processing, electronics and computers. The advent of the fourth information revolution has made the digital economy a major driver of energy transition and low-carbon development. The overall architecture of smart energy is based on intelligence as the core, and based on infrastructure platforms such as intelligent cloud and IoT, as well as AI middle platform, Data middle office ether, etc. And with the help of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, digital twins and other technologies, smart energy can promote the intelligent transformation of energy enterprises ultimately.Against such background, the 2023 2nd International Conference on Smart Energy and Electrical Engineering (SEEE 2023) was held via hybrid form during December 22nd to 24th, 2023 in Malaysia. It was attended by about 50 researchers, scientists, engineers, and students working in the fields of smart energy and electrical engineering.The aims of SEEE 2023 are:To create an academic forum for sharing, communication and research at the international level, so that participants can be informed of the latest research directions, contents and results of smart energy and electrical engineering.To provide approaches to the main problems facing smart energy and electrical engineering, creating spaces that encourage discussion and joint development of research, technology development, and innovation.The excellent papers selected form the submissions were approved for presentation at the Conference and publication in this Conference Proceedings. Among the submissions are some submitted from abroad, but are unfortunately not accepted after rigorous review processes.There was an enabling environment for discussion and exchange of ideas, during which topics such as Core Technology of Intelligent Energy Equipment, Smart Transmission and Distribution, Power Grid Dispatching and Automatic Control, Power Systems and Energy, Electrical Theory and New Technology, etc. were presented. Some of the important issues were the sharing and discussion of Wireless Power Transfer and its Application on Electric Vehicle Wireless Charging by Prof. Yiming Zhang (Fuzhou University, China), Corona Loss Characteristics of EHV/UHV AC Transmission Lines by A. Prof. Shilong Huang (North China Electric Power University, China), Integrated Renewable Energy System based on Hydrogen by Prof. Mohan Lal Kolhe (University of Agder, Norway), etc.As in the last meeting, SEEE 2023 was again a space for the integration of undisputed knowledge and sharing of peer experiences within the specific areas of smart energy and electrical engineering. Both conference and presentation sessions were attended by many conference attendees, allowing closer relationships, both academic, as well as scientific and personal. The cordiality and good treatment of the attendees promoted a climate of friendship, which we could enjoy during all the development of the conference agenda.We would like to extend an enthusiastic round of thanks to all our conference authors and speakers for their excellent contributions. His research interest focuses on the investigation of the electronic structures and novel properties of quantum materials using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), including the topological quantum materials, strongly correlated materials, low-dimensional materials, and advanced functional materials. Our third keynote speaker, Prof. Ming Yan, from Shanghai university, China. Prof. Bin Zhu, our finale keynote speaker, from Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Solar Energy Science and Technology/Energy Storage Joint Research Center, Southeast University, China/Loughborough University, UK, performed a speech: Semiconductor-based superionic conductors for new generation fuel cell applications. Their insightful speeches had triggered heated discussion in the third session of the conference. ICTEC 2019 is the third international conference organized by Centre for Telecommunication Research and Innovation (CeTRI) together with Faculty of Electronic and Computer Engineering (FKEKK), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). This conference was organized in collaboration with Photonics Research Centre (PRC), Universiti Malaya (UM), Wireless Communication Centre (WCC), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universitas Sriwijaya, Indonesia and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).ICTEC 2019 was successfully organized in the heart of the Historical City of Melaka on 22-24 October 2019 with the theme “The 4th Industrial Revolution: Recent and Future Trend in Telecommunication, Electronic & Computer Engineering”.During the conference, a keynote speech entitled “The 4th Industrial Revolution: Disruptive Challenges to Higher Education” has been delivered by Prof. Ts. Ir. Dr Hj. Mohd Nasir Taib, Senior Professor at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).

International Conference on Hydrodynamics, Energy and Electric Power System (HEEPS) is an annually held conference, it aims to provide a forum for participants to exchange their experiences, share research results in all aspects about Hydrodynamics, Energy and Electric Power System and discuss the encountered practical challenges and the adopted solutions. The 2024 8th International Conference on Hydrodynamics, Energy and Electric Power System (HEEPS 2024) was held in Beijing, China from June 28th to 30th, 2024. This esteemed conference, as the eighth in its series, continues to serve as a premier platform for researchers, scholars, and industry professionals to converge, share insights, and collaborate on the latest advancements in hydrodynamics, water resources and hydropower engineering, energy systems, and electric power technologies. HEEPS 2024 was organized with the aim of fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and innovation within the rapidly evolving fields of fluid mechanics, energy systems, and power engineering. Building upon the success of the previous seven editions, this conference attracted a diverse and vibrant community of participants from around the world. The event was hosted with the support of esteemed institutions such as the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Universiti Putra Malaysia, further enhancing its international reach and impact. HEEPS 2024 was an outstanding three-day conference and a reference that attracted many remarkable keynote speakers, including: Professor Jizhong Zhu (South China University of Technology, China), Professor Ishak Bin Aris (Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia), Professor Lin Chen (Chinese Academy of Sciences, China), Associate Professor Sohrab Mirsaeidi (Beijing Jiaotong University, China), as well as Assistant Professor Jianxiao Wang (Peking University, China). The program kicked off with a series of keynote lectures delivered by renowned experts in their respective fields, setting the tone for an intellectually stimulating conference. These presentations covered a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from fundamental research in hydrodynamics and fluid mechanics to the latest developments in energy systems and power grid technologies. Besides, during all parts of the conference, the attendees actively interacted with the speakers and each other on specific topics. The conference’s Proceedings of HEEPS 2024 contains the papers accepted and presented at this great conference. All these contributions were carefully reviewed by program committee members and took into consideration the breadth and depth of the research topics that fall into HEEPS scope. The 2021 2nd International Conference on Electrical Technology and Automatic Control (ICETAC 2021) was held on October 23, 2021 as a virtual conference due to the growing concerns over the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19), and in order to protect the well-being of our attendees, partners, and staff as our number one priority.ICETAC 2021 brings together more than 70 national and international researchers from industry, government, and academia. We invited submissions of papers and abstracts on all topics related to Electrical Technology and Automatic Control. The conference provides networking opportunities for participants to share ideas, designs, and experiences on the state-of-the-art and future direction of Electrical Technology and Automatic Control. ICETAC 2021 will feature a high-quality technical & experiential program dealing with a mix of traditional and contemporary hot topics in paper presentations and high-profile keynotes.During the conference, the conference model was divided into three sessions, including oral presentations, keynote speeches, and online Q&A discussion. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given about 5-10 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. Then in the second part, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches.In the second part, we invited four professors as our keynote speakers. Prof. Yuanchang Zhong, our first keynote speaker, from Chongqing University, China. His mainly research focus on Electronic Technology, Electronic Measurement Technology, System Engineering etc. And then we had Prof. Qinmin Yang, from Zhejiang University, China. He presented an insightful speech: Theoretical research and practice in intelligent control design for wind energy. In this talk, challenges faced by control community for high reliable and efficient exploitation of wind energy are discussed. Prof. Badrul Hisham Ahmad, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, performed a speech: Switchable Absorptive Bandstop to Bandpass Filter using Parallel-coupled Resonator. Our finale keynote speaker, Prof. He Yan, from Chongqing University of Technology, China. He presented an insightful speech: Research on Key Technologies of Semantic SLAM for Mobile Robot in Dynamic Scene. Their insightful speeches had triggered heated discussion in the third session of the conference. Every participant praised this conference for disseminating useful and insightful knowledge.The proceedings are a compilation of the accepted papers and represent an interesting outcome of the conference. Due to recent pandemic, 2022 8th International Conference on Applied Materials and Manufacturing Technology (ICAMMT 2022) was held virtually online on April 15th-17th, 2022. The decision to hold the virtual conference was made in compliance with many restrictions and regulations that were imposed by countries around the globe. Such restrictions were made to minimize the risk of people contracting or spreading the COVID-19 through physical contact. There were 160 individuals who attended this online conference, represented many countries.ICAMMT 2022 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Manufacturing Technology and Applied Materials to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in manufacturing technology and engineering materials, and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. His research area includes Characterization of mechanical and mechanical properties of polymer hydrogels, research and development of biomimetic electroactive hydrogels, and applications of polymer materials in microfluidic devices and biomedicine. Lastly, we were glad to invite Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) of The National University of Malaysia as our finale keynote speakers. He studied on the design and synthesis of new organic heterocyclic compounds for EL device application. Their insightful speeches had triggered heated discussion in the third session of the conference. Every participant praised this conference for disseminating useful and insightful knowledge.The proceedings are a compilation of the accepted papers and represent an interesting outcome of the conference.
