REMOTE CONTROL FOR SMART CLASSROOM WITH BLUETOOTH NETWORKS

The design of a wireless water level control system is introduced and discussed in detail. In this system, the wireless Proportional Integral (PI) controller is developed using the LabVIEW graphical user programming language. Zigbee wireless technology is chosen for the wireless data transfer system. The experimental testbed was built and the system software and hardware were implemented. In order to compare the performance of the wired and wireless system, a corresponding wired water level control system was built. Experimental results show that under the same PI parameters, the settling time of the wired system is 3.3 times faster than the wireless system. However, the percent overshoot using the wireless controller is 4% smaller.

In recent years, the use of social networks has become widespread in Armenia. In 2021, 2․02 million people use the Internet in the Republic of Armenia (68․2% of the population). In Armenia, 1.8 million people are active users of social networks (60.7% of the population). To find out for what purposes, how often Armenians use social networks, what impact they have on people's lives and economic decisions, a sociological survey was conducted using the Internet in the article. According to the survey results, social networks play a significant role in people's lives. Many people spend several hours a day on social media to chat with friends, get information, or for work or other purposes. Most users use social media over the phone and, according to the majority, social media both helps and bothers them. Half of the participants considered their dependence on social networks average, and 66% noted that if they wanted to, they could delete their accounts from social networks forever. According to the survey results, the Customer Satisfaction Score of participants with social networks was only 56%, and the Net Promoter Score was (-42)%. Despite the advantages of social networks, they have many disadvantages, so people are both "happy" and "unhappy" with social networks. To conclude, one should take into account the safety rules on social networks, work on time management in terms oftime spent on social networks, and try to use only the positive aspects of them.

In China, the natural gas industry has developed rapidly over the past two decades. The production, sales volume of natural gas and the length of gas pipelines have increased year by year. However, the accompanying safety issues in gas use have become increasingly prominent. In recent years, there have been hundreds of related accidents across the country every year, often causing significant losses to people's lives, personal safety and property. To enhance the safety of gas transmission and use, regular inspections of urban pipe networks and long-distance pipelines using mobile detection equipment serve as an effective supplement to existing gas leakage monitoring and detection methods. In terms of mobile detection vehicle-mounted equipment, there are currently a variety of imported and domestic devices available on the market. However, there is a lack of sufficient and reliable research results regarding the performance differences between devices of different brands. In this paper, one type of imported equipment and three types of domestic equipment were selected for on-site detection experiments. After statistical analysis of the detection results of the four types of equipment, the findings show that domestic equipment has already demonstrated obvious advantages in terms of detection efficiency and procurement & operation costs.

Wireless medical telemetry systems (WMTSs) are typical radio communication-based medical devices that monitor various biological parameters, such as electrocardiograms and respiration rates. In Japan, the assigned frequency band for WMTSs is 400 MHz. However, the issues accounting for poor reception in WMTS constitute major concerns. In this study, we analyzed the effects of electromagnetic interferences (EMIs) caused by other radio communication systems, the intermodulation (IM) effect, and noises generated from electrical devices on WMTS and discussed their management. The 400-MHz frequency band is also shared by other radio communication systems. We showed the instantaneous and impulsive voltages generated from the location-detection system for wandering patients and their potential to exhibit EMI effects on WMTS. Further, we presented the IM effect significantly reduces reception in WMTS. Additionally, the electromagnetic noises generated from electrical devices, such as light-emitting diode lamps and security cameras, can exceed the 400 MHz frequency band as these devices employ the switched-mode power supply and/or central processing unit and radiate wideband emissions. Moreover, we proposed and evaluated simple and facile methods using a simplified spectrum analysis function installed in the WMTS receiver and software-defined radio for evaluating the electromagnetic environment.

The wireless charging system now becomes one of the emerging technologies especially in the application of communication systems and beneficial to the wireless electronic appliances. Among them are mobile phones, cameras, personal digital assistance (PDA), cooler, torchlight and drill. Those wireless devices require battery to store and provide power before the device can be used. Hence, in order to solve the problem of short life of the battery of mobile phone, this project proposes adding a solar charging system base on inductive coupling method to the mobile phone to improve the usage of mobile phone in term of standby time, talk-time, online applications and power consumption especially in the remote area. Inductive coupling is among the effective method in wireless charging system to charge electronics device and reduce the constraint of the power cord or wired system. Meanwhile, solar cell is among the energy harvesting devices that is widely employed in many electronics application. The outcome of the project describes the comparison of the power consumption between the wire charging systems with solar-based wireless charging system. From the analysis of the results, solar-powered mobile phone with inductive coupling produced 21 h 46 min standby time after charging for 13 h 15 min compared to the existing charging system (wired system) which produce 17 h 5 min standby time after charging for 2 h 30 min. In addition, proposed system has high power consumption in term of standby time, talk-time and online application. Based on the results of the project, it could suggest that the wireless solar-powered mobile phone can replace the existing charging system in term of standby time.

The RRI019/020VN valve of Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant uses 80L/110/K1 electric device made by Bernard for valve switching control. RRI019/020VN uses W wedge-type gate valve made by VELAN, and as the valve is a forced-seal valve, the valve requires the electric device for torque shut-off valve control. However, these eight valves are subject to the influence of the electric device torque switch can not be locked, which leads to the electric device can not use the torque shut-off valve control. Since the torque switch could not be self-locking, valve damage failure had occurred using the torque shut-off valve control. In this paper, the reasons why the 80 L electric device could not self-lock will be analyzed and solutions will be provided, and finally the feasibility of the solutions will be studied.

High-pressure hydraulic hoses are used throughout industry to transmit fluid power. The current state of the art in hose replacement consists of two strategies; these are (1) replacement upon failure and (2) time-based replacement. For the replacement upon failure method, end users inspect hoses and either replace when there is obvious physical damage or the hose has burst and allowed the release of fluid under high pressure. Hose users that employ time-based replacement cycles often collect data and either subjectively or statistically choose a replacement frequency intended to prevent unexpected failures. Engineers at Eaton Corporation worked with Purdue University to develop an alternative. A novel hose construction using two conductors with an isolating layer provides a component in an electrical circuit which can be monitored to determine the status, or health, of a hose in operation. The first step in this development was the realization that hose failure is a process and not an event. By tracking a hose’s electrical signature and characterizing the change that occurs when the internal structure begins to break down, a user is alerted prior to a catastrophic hose failure. Eaton is developing notification systems capable of both monitoring the hose’s electrical signature and alerting an equipment user prior to unexpected failure. The system requires direct electrical connection to the hose fitting for monitoring. There are currently two strategies in development, a wired system and a wireless system. The wired system uses a remote diagnostic unit with cables running to each hose assembly to query the hose and alert an equipment user directly. The wireless system employs battery-powered sensors installed on a hose assembly which communicate with a gateway located nearby. When a hose approaches its end of life a warning is issued by illuminating a warning light or issuing a remote warning through a cellular or wireless network. There are significant gains in the ability to prevent hydraulic hose failures. These unexpected incidents lead to downtime, damage to equipment, environmental damage, and serious personal injury. Additionally, using this advanced warning system allows users to use nearly a hose’s entire life. This improves asset utilization considerable when compared to the useful life sacrificed by using time-based replacement schedules. This technology will reduce operating costs and prevent downtime, environmental incidents, and the threat of personal injury present when hydraulic hose fails.

Currently, mobile communications are provided convenient methods to explore and communicate with each other people. A multitude of services have converged on the smartphone platform, and potentially the most notable is social networking. Thus, the electronic Mobile Chat (MC) plays a very important role in the social networking. With the increasingly growing reliance on Mobile Chat System (MCS) in one hand, and the growing number of vulnerabilities and attacks on the other hand, there is an increasingly demand for the security solutions. Despite of the critical role of MCS in the typical Internet mobile user's life, electronic MC services are not so secure. Therefore, the secure End-to-End Mobile Chat (SE2E-MC) scheme is proposed to be one of the suitable solutions. The basic framework for SE2E-MC scheme and its associated requirements are also designed in this paper. The proposal is implemented to provide mutual authentication and prevent the password guessing attack and the undetectable on-line password guessing attack. Finally, the scheme is a password-based authentication and key agreement (AKA) having easy remembered property.

The study aims to desgin social networking mobile application for tourism users with mobile devices by their context. By p ractical research methods, such as online questionnaires, telephone interviews and user interviews,user habits and needs were digged out. The paper simulated and reproduced the process of user traveling by scenario analysis method, then extracted the context. Final prototype design of social networking application on context of tourism is approved that it can meet the demands of the user personalization and improve user satisfaction. Analytical data from social networking platforms allow companies and businesses to determine a person's inclinations, beliefs and preferences. Correct use of the social network within the organization can increase the level of personnel involvement in the business process. And employee involvement in this process is akin to customer loyalty. As a result, he not only spends more time on tasks, but also does his job better, as he cares for the result. The purpose of the study is to diagnose the impact of social networks on the effectiveness and efficiency of staff. The article describes the impact of social networks on people's lives, as well as offers information on popular networks and highlights problematic issues, offers solutions for communication in companies through social networks without contradicting the rules of work and data protection. The article will be useful for company managers and their managers for the proper organization of the work process in the team, taking into account the development of social networks. In today's world, social networks are a combination of many possibilities, such as communicating with friends, reading publications, watching movies, the ability to share information, participate in discussions, create a community and much more, which fully allows you to call them a great technological achievement. But there is also the other side of the coin. With the great possibilities comes the trouble. You can't argue that social networks are one continuous trouble, any more than you can say the same about computer games, for example. With a disciplined and correct approach, you can get some benefits and make your life easier. But there is always a risk that addiction to social networks will have a detrimental effect on your psyche.

Background: Developing the knowledge base on the impact of aphasia on people's social lives has become increasingly important in recent times to further our understanding of the broad consequences of communication disability and thus provide appropriate services. Past research clearly indicates that relationships and social activities with family members and others undergo change with the onset of aphasia in an individual, however more evidence of a quantitative nature would be beneficial. Aims: The current research furthers our knowledge by quantifying chronically aphasic older people's regular social contacts and social activities, and places them in context by comparing them with healthy older people of similar age and education. Methods & Procedures: A total of 30 aphasic participants aged 57 to 88 years, and 71 non‐aphasic controls aged 62 to 98 years were interviewed by a speech and language therapist using self‐report measures of Social Network Analysis (Antonucci & Akiyama, 1987) and Social Activities Checklist (Cruice, 2001, in Worrall & Hickson, 2003). Demographic information was also collected. Descriptive statistics are presented and independent samples t tests were used to examine differences between the groups. Outcomes & Results: Participants with primarily mild to moderate aphasic impairment reported a considerable range of social contacts (5–51) and social activities (8–18). Many significant differences were evident between the two groups' social contacts and activities. On average, aphasic participants had nine fewer social contacts (mainly “friend” relationships) and three fewer social activities (mainly “leisure” activities) than their non‐aphasic peers. The majority of controls were satisfied with their social activities, whereas the majority of aphasic participants were not and wanted to be doing more. There were some general similarities between the groups, in terms of range of social contacts, overall pattern of social relationships, and core social activities. Conclusions: Older people with chronic aphasia had significantly fewer social contacts and social activities than their peers. People with aphasia expressed a desire to increase the social activity of their lives. Given the importance of leisure activity and relationships with friends as well as family for positive well‐being, speech and language therapists may direct their rehabilitation efforts towards two areas: (1) conversational partner programmes training friends to maintain these relationships; and (2) encouraging and supporting aphasic clients in leisure activities of their choice.

Distance Education is more preferable by both learners and institutions in the 21st century. The technology, teaching-learning and communication processes are in a change that each stakeholder should comply with. One up-to-date form of these processes is social networking. Social networks have the potential of providing access to more resources and improving the quality of communication and interaction. Social Network Analysis and Network Weaving approaches are useful to determine the social network structure and improve it. Further to that, in this chapter, “Social Network Synthesis” approach is introduced, obtained by applying synthesis process on Social Network Theory. The approach is thought to allow for the establishment of optimum relationships between the concerned actors in a newly configured goal-directed social network. An illustrative framework that can be used for building Distance Education programs is also presented.

Virtual social network is a new generation of social media space that, although not very old, have been able to open their place in people's lives. Many people of different ages and from different social groups come together in virtual social networks and communicate from a far in the real world. The present study examines the political and managerial participation of young women compared to men in Gilan. This research is based on grounded theory method and with in-depth interviews of 30 male and female political and managerial activists in Guilan province. The results of the research show that social networks, especially Telegram, have played an effective role in political consultation of young women compared to other media in Iran. The difference between national media and social networks in presenting images of political participation of men and women as a condition for intervention in the paradigm of research has been investigated. The results showed that social networks have an effect on the political participation of young women. The findings of the present study can be used to moderate phenomena such as lack of equal organizational growth and its irreparable consequences on sustainable development, women's progress and self-confidence, as well as changing men's beliefs, and the loss of human capital and avoid exorbitant training costs.
