Abstract

I am a homosexual male nurse working on a stroke unit and 1 can fully appreciate what Daniel Allen (perspectives June 2) is saying. However, I do not feel that I have to act straight or asexual. I am a nurse treating a patient not a ‘gay’ nurse. Sexuality should not be an issue; it does not define whether you are a good or a bad nurse. It is the way you conduct yourself as a professional.
