Locating the rotator cable during subacromial arthroscopy: bursal- and articular-sided anatomy.

In order to study the vibration response of continuous girder bridges under horizontal multi-vehicle loads, we used ANSYS to build the three-dimensional solid finite element model of continuous girder highway bridge, simulated three-axis self-dumping truck by three-dimensional models, and considered the impact of road roughness to establish the multiple vehicle-bridge coupled vibration equation. We studied the vibration response of bridges under the horizontal two-vehicle, longitudinal two-vehicle and single-vehicle conditions by running MATLAB program. The result shows that the impact coefficients of the bridge under horizontal two-vehicle condition are close to that of single-vehicle condition, and the impact coefficients of the bridge under longitudinal two-vehicle condition fluctuate around that under single-vehicle condition. The vibration response of the bridge under multi-row vehicle loads is related to various factors such as vehicle velocity, bridge span, vehicle spacing, and the quality level of the bridge surface.

Pro/E was developed by the American company PTC CAD / CAM software, it is a new generation product modeling system with features as parametric design, three-dimensional solid model, feature-driven and single database. Pro/E software uses object-oriented unified database and parametric modeling technology, which has conceptual design, basic design and detailed design features,and provides excellent platforms for integrated manufacturing molds.Take Mug for example, the process of product modelling and mold design used by Pro/E software was introduced. The mold design cycle , the parting surface, the mold die space and the core was focused. The high efficiency characteristic of plastic mold design used by Pro/E was elaborated.

Abstract. With recent government initiatives for smart cities, 3D virtual city models are in demand for managing and monitoring the urban infrastructure. 3D building models forms an important component of 3D virtual city model. LiDAR remote sensing has revolutionized the way the third dimension can be precisely mapped and proved to be an important source of data for 3D models. The model thus generated should be in an open data format to be used across various applications. CityGML is an open data model framework that enables storage and exchange of 3D models which can be used for diversified applications. The main objective of this research is to develop a methodological workflow to create 3D building models in CityGML standard from airborne LiDAR point cloud. Initially building points were isolated from the airborne LiDAR data using point cloud processing algorithms. 3D building models with levels of detail (LoD1 and LoD2) were generated from the building points in CityGML standard using commercial (ArcGISPro) well as open source packages (3dfier, Citygml4j). Results prove that the models developed using open source packages are comparable to that provided by commercial packages.

Three-dimensional solid modeling and structural design of the simulation turntable damper were carried out by three-dimensional software, and the intensity checking of the main parts of the damper was carried out by finite element software. The tests of the damper samples were carried out, and the electro-hydraulic servo MTS fatigue test rig was used to test the dynamic characteristics of the two dampers, and the dynamic stiffness values of the dampers at different frequencies were obtained. The test results show that the dynamic stiffness values of the two damper samples are 5282N/mm and 4356N/mm respectively, which are basically consistent with the design values; due to the production variability, the dynamic stiffness values of the two damper samples have some differences; the dynamic stiffness values of the damper samples increase slightly with the increase of the loading frequency. The dynamic characteristics of the dampers were obtained through the tests, and it was verified that the structure and performance of the simulation turntable damper met the design requirements.

Introducing three-dimensional modeling technology into the teaching of modern engineering graphics is a hot topic for graphics areas in recent years. Three-dimensional geometric modeling principles, methods, and skills will be integrated and infiltrated to modern engineering graphics course, and this will form a new teaching theory, content and process with modern engineering graphics teaching trends. The teaching reform of modern engineering graphics in the three- dimensional modeling environment must be imperative. This paper analyzes the shortcomings of a traditional teaching system, and explores the teaching mode which three-dimensional modeling is as the mainline and integrates two-dimensional design. Also proposes a combination of teaching methods, and makes the exploration of teaching reform.

When the human face is on the edge of field of the camera which has a large view, serious deformation will be captured. To correct the distortion of the human face, we present an approach based on setting up a 3D model. Firstly, we construct 3D target face modeling by using the data and depth information of the standard human face, which is set up by the three-dimensional model with three-dimensional Gaussian function with sectional type. According to the size of the face in the image and the parameters of the camera, we can obtain the information of relative position and depth of the human face. Then by translating the virtual camera axis to the center of the face, we can achieve the goal to correct the distortion of the face based on the theory of three-dimensional imaging. Finally, we have made a lot of experiments, and we study the influence of parameters of the 3D model of human face. The result indicates that the method presented by this paper can play an effective role in correcting the distortion of the face in the edge of the view, and we can get better results if the model appreciates the real human face.

The engineering perspective on the physiology and anatomy of living things has led to the emergence of the science of biomechanics. Developing computer technologies have made it possible to examine the behaviour of living things in more detail and to develop technologies that enable kinetic and kinematic analysis of movements to imitate real limbs. In this study, the natural gaits of horses (Walk, Canter and Trot) were analysed with image processing techniques, kinematic analyses were made and three-dimensional solid models were created. Giving movement ability to the extracted solid models was carried out with the simulation software prepared on the Matlab-SimMechanic platform. By comparing the findings obtained as a result of image processing and simulation, the success of transferring the movements to a developed system was evaluated. After mathematical equations were created in the MATLAB environment, the equations were tested on the developed system and their performance rates were determined. With the developed system, joint angles, ability to reach the correct position and movement ability were analysed and it was shown how the mathematical equations required to perform the movements could be derived. As a result, a design process model for movement analysis, simulation and control of different living groups is presented with the equations obtained by formulating the information obtained from the developed system.

In a multifidelity structural design process, depending on the required analysis, different levels of structural models are needed. Within the aerospace design, analysis and optimization community, there is an increasing demand for automatic generation of parametric feature tree (build recipe) attributed multidisciplinary models. Currently, this is mainly done by creating separate models for different disciplines such as mid-surface model for aeroelasticity, outer-mold line for aerodynamics and CFD, and built-up element model for structural analysis. Since all of these models are built independently, any changes in design parameters require updates on all the models which is inefficient, time-consuming and prone to deficiencies. In this research, Engineering Sketch Pad (ESP) is used to create attribution and maintain consistency between structural models with different fidelity levels. It provides the user with the ability to interact with a configuration by building and/or modifying the design parameters and feature tree that define the configuration. ESP is based an open-source constructive solid modeler, named OpenCSM, which is built upon the OpenCASCADE geometry kernel and the EGADS geometry generation system. The use of OpenCSM as part of the AFRL’s CAPS project on Computational Aircraft Prototype Syntheses for automatic commercial and fighter jet models is demonstrated. The rapid generation of parametric aircraft structural models proposed and developed in this work will benefit the aerospace industry with coming up with efficient, fast and robust multidisciplinary design standardization of aircraft structures. Metallic aircraft wings are usually not optimized to their fullest potential due to shortage of development time. With roughly \$1000 worth of potential fuel savings per pound of weight reduction over the operational life of an aircraft, airlines are trying to minimize the weight of aircraft structures. A stiffness based strategy is used to map the nodal data of the lower-order fidelity structural models onto the higher-order ones. A simple multi-fidelity analysis process for a parametric wing is used to demonstrate the advantage of the approach. The loads on the wing are applied from a stick model as is done in the industry. C program is created to connect the parametric design software ESP, analysis software Nastran, load file and design configuration file in CSV format. This problem gets compounded when it comes to optimization of composite wings. In this study, a multi-level optimization strategy to optimize the weight of a composite transport aircraft wing is proposed. The part is assumed to initially have some arbitrary number of composite super plies. Super plies are a concept consisting of a set of plies all arranged in the same direction. The thickness and orientation angles of the super plies are optimized. Then, each ply undergoes topometry optimization to obtain the areas of each super ply taking the least load so that it could be cut and removed. Each of the super plies are then optimized for the thickness and orientation angles of the sub plies. The work presented on this paper is part of a project done for Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) connecting the parametric geometry modeler (ESP) with the finite element solver (Nastran).

Component Identification and Interpretation

This paper presents a new approach for the classification and retrieval of three-dimensional images and models from databases. A set of retrieval algorithms is introduced. These algorithms are content-based, meaning that the input is not made out of keywords but of three-dimensional models. Tensor of inertia, distribution of normals, distribution of cords and multiresolution analysis are used to describe each model. The database can be searched by scale, shape or color or any combination of these parameters. A user friendly interface makes the retrieval operation simple and intuitive and allows to edit reference models according to the specifications of the user. Experimental results using a database of more than 400 range images and 1000 VRML models are presented.

Along with simulation method's increase, the visualization simulation because of its good visualization effect, has become one of day by day current research hot topics. In airplane synthesis health management study, to realize the highly effective low cost simulation confirmation, needs to carry on the visualization simulation to the airplane essential component. Here has first established the airplane and the stabilizer essential component's three-dimensional model, then in VC++6.0 under the platform MFC frame, has developed using Vega based on the duty actuation airplane essential component visualization simulation system, and carries on the load to the essential component fault model. Has realized when the different aerial mission tail plane and internal macro-axis's visualization simulation. The result indicated that this simulation system has the straight-forward lifelike interactive contact surface, is advantageous for the simulation process the observation and the essential data gain, provides an general visualization simulation experiment platform for the airplane synthesis health management.

Generalized multi-protocol label switching (GMPLS) has emerged as a very promising protocol technology for the next generation optical networks. GMPLS successfully combines the best features of IP and ATM in terms of quality of service (QoS), privacy, flexibility and scalability. GMPLS introduces enhancements to the existing IP routing and signaling protocols by supporting not only networks that perform packet switching (IP), but also networks that perform switching in the time (TDM), wavelength (DWDM), and space domain (circuit switching). This paper discusses the design and implementation of a modeling tool for analysis of GMPLS optical switching routers (GOSR). A model of the GOSR has been built using OPNETTM modeling and simulation platform, in lieu of a prototype. The virtual model contains all the necessary GMPLS functions of an optical backbone router. The description on the design features and the key implementation elements of the internal mechanism of GOSR forms the introduction of this paper. The virtual model of the GOSR has the capability of giving a more integrated and realistic simulation on wavelength routing, wavelength assignment, wavelength switching, dynamic label switching path (LSP) setup and tear down, and blocking mechanism of GMPLS light paths. The OPNET process modeling methodology was used to develop the virtual GOSR models. The simulation results obtained include the blocking rate, OSPF-TE bandwidth analysis, and CPU utilization. The modeling environment developed in this project provides a simulation platform for further development and future enhancement of GMPLS protocols, routing protocols, and optical switching router implementations.

To realize multiuser collaborative virtual maintenance training of large complex equipment and solve the collaborative work problems such as parallel and competition for resources, a method based on synthesis of Petri nets sharing a kind of subnet for modeling collaborative maintenance process was put forward and the key technologies such as hierarchical modeling of the simulation task, virtual prototype modeling, maintenance process modeling, visual simulation and the program driver were realized. Through the analysis of the functional requirements of the system and based on the human- machine interaction of the virtual reality development EON Studio function node and the integrated communication function between EonX and Visual Studio, a system framework is presented for multiuser collaborative virtual maintenance simulation training platform and the multiuser collaborative virtual maintenance simulation training system was developed. Take the main power device of a type of ship gear box fault bearing maintenance conversion as an example, we illustrate the working process of the collaborative virtual maintenance system and verify the key technologies of the system.
