Simulation with DEVS-CLOS (abstract)

Research and design of simulation and verification system of intelligent expressway based on ETC big data

Based on the analysis of the broad band wireless communication, we design a wireless terrain network with some different subnet of satellite, microwave, LTE, and so on. OPNET provides a virtual network environment, through the modeling of the network. We give the simulation flow of the wireless communication. It designs the station node and satellite node, and builds a simulation system for the broad band wireless communication by OPNET. According the wireless communication topology, it realizes the network simulation system with six zone subnets which contain six single users and two communication vehicles. It contains the communication satellites which use the transparent transponders. The simulation system can display the dynamic route by the simulation system. It also can analyze the performance and efficiency of the wireless system with the parameters, such as: throughput, delay, processing delay, Packet Loss Ratio. It can use “Failure Recovery” module in the simulation system and set the parameters and analyze the communication system influence.

A simulation system was established in the Matlab/Simulink environment based on the bionic underwater vehicle propelled by multiple undulating fins. It was composed of motion and attitude controller and plant model including 6DOF rigid body kinetic model, carrier's hydrodynamic model, and multiple undulating fins' hydrodynamic model. All parts of the simulation system were designed in detailed, and a layered control system was put forward. Finally, the performance of the control channels for speed, depth and yawing were simulated in terms of the real design parameters and hydrodynamic coefficients. Results show that the simulation system has important significance to research on the dynamic of the bionic underwater vehicle and verify the design of control system.

Strap-down inertial navigation system (SINS) is widely used in military field, to facilitate the study of SINS algorithms and various coupled navigation algorithms, a simulation system of SINS is designed. Based on modular design, with good portability and expansibility, the system consists of four independent modules: analysis module of motion state, trajectory simulator, IMU simulation module and SINS calculation module. With graphical interface, the system can control every motion state of the trajectory, which is convenient to generate various trajectories efficiently. Using rotation vector attitude algorithm to process simulation data, experiment results show that the attitude, velocity and position error is consistent with the theoretical value, which verifies the rationality of the simulation model and the availability of the simulation system.

This paper designs and implements a simulation system that can verify the planning algorithms such as table tennis trajectory planning and robot leg movement planning. The simulation system and the humanoid robot’s control system are connected based on the RTnet real-time Ethernet protocol. The table tennis game of the humanoid robot is implemented using the simulation of the forward and inverse kinematics of the robot arm, the hitting planning, and the forward and inverse kinematics of the robot leg.

This paper introduced the background of LNG powered ship reliquefaction plant and its working principle, established the calculation model of simulation system, taking the VLCC ship LNG powered ship as the mother ship, provided the thermodynamic calculation flow chart, developed the software for the operation simulation system and the developed the assessment system and the equipment management system. This software can simulate the operation process and carry out the numerical calculation. It is good for the purpose of training students and has great reference value for research.

In this paper, an event driven strategy is used to design a distributed simulation system, and a distributed simulation architecture of three-tiers is proposed. Based on the service-oriented design of event-driven distributed simulation system, the hierarchical design of WCF-based simulation hierarchy is completed, and the data transfer and loose coupling between the components of the architecture are realized. Considering the system-level modeling idea based on the design structure matrix, an improved event scheduling method is proposed and the incident management technology is studied. Based on the above research, a simulation system was designed and developed. Taking the multidisciplinary modeling and simulation of the all-electric telecommunication satellite as a case, the simulation application integration and simulation results were analyzed to verify the versatility and correctness of the simulation system.

The Graduate Automotive Technology Education (GATE) Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) offers courses addressing the simulation, modeling, and control system design of hybrid electric vehicles (HEV). In the Spring of 1999 such a course was conducted to support the UTK FutureCar Challenge entry for 1999. The vehicle modeled is a Dual-configuration Hybrid Electric Vehicle (DHEV) which uses a planetary power-split device similar to the Toyota Hybrid System used in the Toyota “Prius”. The goals of the course included the development of a real-time simulator that could incorporate actual vehicle control hardware in the simulator loop. This “control-hardware-in-the-loop” (CHIL) configuration was used for simulation, control system design, and troubleshooting. This approach allows the simulation of normal vehicle operating conditions as well as emergency fault handling situations in which it may not be desirable to subject the actual prototype vehicle to a given test condition. Additionally, it is possible to do a great deal of control system testing and development without an operating vehicle.

At the lunar patrol detection stage, effective and accurate inspection path planning is the prerequisite and basis for lunar missions. This article designed and implemented lunar surface inspection simulation and validation system, the system is to verify the part inspection technology by computer simulation technology, with a view to provide some technical support for autonomous navigation, autonomous mission planning, and related research of the future Chang'e-third surface inspections.

Design of unmanned swarm intelligent operation simulation and evaluation system based on the technologies of modeling and simulation, intelligent operation, effectiveness evaluation, is presented for the requirements of unmanned equipment demonstration, combat concept demonstration, combat application research. According to the basic function of traditional operation simulation system, the simulation function and model of unmanned swarm mission command are put forward in this design, which can provide effective simulation of unmanned swarm intelligent operation with platform unmanned and system manned. Moreover, general and extensible system architecture is provided in this design, which is useful to extend the unmanned swarm mission, command function and simulation model to comply with the development of unmanned equipment and intelligent operation mode.

We present a manufacturing simulation system based on autonomous agents and a dynamic price mechanism that explores routing flexibility and provides a programming language for modeling manufacturing environments, based on autonomous agents and a dynamic price mechanism. The simulation system contains a control simulation module and a manufacturing environment simulation module. The control simulation module consists of a collection of autonomous agents who negotiate with each other to reach job processing decisions based on negotiation protocols and built-in price adjustment algorithms. The manufacturing environment simulation module is an event-based simulation system that couples with an input simulation language called Flexible Routing Adaptive Control Simulation Language. The language can be used to model complicated manufacturing environments and to specify flexibility in part process plans. By integrating the control framework with the FRACS simulation system, a sophisticated test bed is created for research of different control and negotiation strategies. The simulation system allows quick turn around time for software prototyping, and the modeling language enables easy model adjustment and performance tuning. Many experiments in the control and scheduling of manufacturing systems have been conducted using this simulation system. Several of these experiments are discussed in the paper.

Aiming at the lack of actual telemetry data samples under satellite power fault conditions, and the gap between pure digital simulation data and actual telemetry data, this paper designs a semi-physical simulation system that can simulate satellite power typical faults. The system can simulate the electrical characteristics of the satellite power system under fault conditions, so the data obtained from this system is closer to the real satellite telemetry data. The STM32 single-chip microcomputer is used as the controller, and the hardware and software of the fault simulation system are designed, such as solar array simulator, battery pack simulator, power controller simulator. The simulation results show that the system can simulate the normal state and typical faults of the satellite power supply with high fidelity.

The variety of shipborne weapons as well as the importance and affect of naval gun mounting servo system are narrated. The existing conditions and problems of naval gun mounting servo system in type approval test are introduced. A new kind of shipborne weapons shock simulation testing system based on electrohydraulic servomotor is given, which could simulate all levels of ocean wave strokes, weapon system inertial moment and shooting strokes. The nominal pressure and flow of both high-power low-frequency hydraulic motor and miniwatt high-frequency hydraulic motor are confirmed by analytical calculation. The experiment demonstrates that the performance of this simulation system meet with the designed technical requirements.

In this paper, design and implementation of a radar signal simulation system is introduced. It is based on standard CPCI bus and follow the design principle of standardized, modular and extendable in design process. This system is made up of standard hardware and the simulated waveform can be obtained from any algorithms. This system is felxible to extend based on complexity of the algorithms.

The amalgamation of pervasive computing and simulation technology is very useful and important. The HIL (Hardware In Loop) simulation is a specified system and one of simulation system compositions. It will bring more convenience resource sharing and serving to users by amalgamation of pervasive computing and HIL simulation system. Design of HIL simulation system is just finding an approach of reforming and expanding a HIL simulation system to apply to pervasive computing. Such as analysis of designing objective for HIL simulation system research, designing scheme of system, key technologies correlating to system design, and so on.
