Slice Holomorphic Functions in Several Variables with Bounded L-Index in Direction

We develop an approach to the theory of growth of the class H(𝕋n) of holomorphic functions in a multidimensional torus 𝕋n based on the structure of elements of this class and well-known results of the heory of growth of entire functions of several complex variables. This approach is illustrated in the case where the growth of the function g ∈ H(𝕋n) is compared with the growth of its maximum modulus on the skeleton of the polydisk. The properties of the corresponding characteristics of growth of the functions in the class H(𝕋n) are studied with their relation to coefficients of the corresponding Laurent series. A comparative analysis of these results and similar assertions of the theory of growth of entire functions of several variables is given.

Hartogs' theorem concerning analytic continuation of functions of several complex variables is generalized to the case in which part of the variables are real and the continuation is carried out over the complex variables.

Let $\mathbf{b}\in\mathbb{C}^n\setminus\{\mathbf{0}\}$ be a fixed direction. We consider slice holomorphic functions of several complex variables in the unit ball, i.e. we study functions which are analytic in intersection of every slice $\{z^0+t\mathbf{b}: t\in\mathbb{C}\}$ with the unit ball $\mathbb{B}^n=\{z\in\mathbb{C}^{n}: \ |z|:=\sqrt{|z|_1^2+\ldots+|z_n|^2}<1\}$ for any $z^0\in\mathbb{B}^n$. For this class of functions there is considered the concept of boundedness of $L$-index in the direction $\mathbf{b},$ where ${L}: \mathbb{B}^n\to\mathbb{R}_+$ is a positive continuous function such that $L(z)>\frac{\beta|\mathbf{b}|}{1-|z|}$ and $\beta>1$ is some constant.There are presented sufficient conditions that the sum of slice holomorphic functions of bounded $L$-index in direction belong this class. This class of slice holomorphic functions is closed under the operation of multiplication.

Circular centered forms for rational functions in several complex variables

This paper presents results on some boundary value problems for holomorphic functions of several complex variables in polydomains. The Cauchy kernel is one of the significant tools for solving the Riemann and the Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problems for holomorphic functions as well as for establishment of the connection between them. For polydomains, the Cauchy kernel is modified in such a way that it corresponds to a certain symmetry of the boundary values of holomorphic functions in polydomains. This symmetry is lost if the classical counterpart of the one-dimensional form of the Cauchy kernel is applied. The general integral representation formulas for the functions, holomorphic in polydomains, the solvability conditions and the solutions of the corresponding Schwarz problems are given explicitly. A necessary and sufficient condition for the boundary values of a holomorphic function for arbitrary polydomains is given and an exact, yet compact way of notation for holomorphic functions in arbitrary polydomains is introduced and applied. The Riemann jump problem and the Riemann-Hilbert problem are solved for holomorphic functions of several complex variables with the unit torus as the jump manifold. The higher-dimensional Plemelj-Sokhotzki formula for holomorphic functions in polydomains is established. The canonical functions of the Riemann problem for polydomains are represented and applied in order to construct solutions for both of the homogeneous and inhomogeneous problems. For all three boundary value problems, well-posed formulations are given which does not demand more solvability conditions than in the one variable case. The connection between the Riemann and the Riemann-Hilbert problem for polydomains is proven. Thus contrary to earlier research the results are similar to the respective ones for just one variable.

Many authors, e.g., Bavrin, Jakubowski, Liczberski, Pfaltzgraff, Sitarski, Suffridge, and Stankiewicz, have discussed some families of holomorphic functions of several complex variables described by some geometrical or analytical conditions. We consider a family of holomorphic functions of several complex variables described in n-circular domain of the space C n . We investigate relations between this family and some of type of Bavrin’s families. We give estimates of G-balance of k-homogeneous polynomial, a distortion type theorem and a sufficient condition for functions belonging to this family. Furthermore, we present some examples of functions from the considered class.

The theory of analytic functions of several complex variables enjoyed a period of remarkable development in the middle part of the twentieth century. After initial successes by Poincare and others in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the theory encountered obstacles that prevented it from growing quickly into an analogue of the theory for functions of one complex variable. Beginning in the 1930s, initially through the work of Oka, then H. Cartan, and continuing with the work of Grauert, Remmert, and others, new tools were introduced into the theory of several complex variables that resolved many of the open problems and fundamentally changed the landscape of the subject. These tools included a central role for sheaf theory and increased uses of topology and algebra. The book by Gunning and Rossi was the first of the modern era of the theory of several complex variables, which is distinguished by the use of these methods. The intention of Gunning and Rossi's book is to provide an extensive introduction to the Oka-Cartan theory and some of its applications, and to the general theory of analytic spaces. Fundamental concepts and techniques are discussed as early as possible. The first chapter covers material suitable for a one-semester graduate course, presenting many of the central problems and techniques, often in special cases. The later chapters give more detailed expositions of sheaf theory for analytic functions and the theory of complex analytic spaces. Since its original publication, this book has become a classic resource for the modern approach to functions of several complex variables and the theory of analytic spaces.

Here we prove two propositions providing sufficient conditions of belonging positive continuous functions in to classes and These auxiliary classes plays important role in theory of entire functions of bounded L-index in direction and bounded L-index in joint variables, where are continuous functions. They help to constuct general theory of bounded index for very wide class of entire functions, because for every entire functions with bounded multiplicities of zero points there exists a corresponding function or providing boundedness of L-index in direction or boundedness L–index in joint variables respectively. Our result requires uniform boundedness of logarithmic derivative in all variables and for belonging the function to class Q^n. Another result requires uniform boundedness of logarithmic derivative in directions and for belonging the function to class Q^n_b where is the complex conjugate vector to b.

Spaces of entire functions of several complex variables occupy an important position in view of their vast applications in various branches of mathematics, for instance, the classical analysis, theory of approximation, theory of
 topological bases etc. With an idea of correlating entire functions with certain aspects in the theory of basis in locally convex spaces, we have investigated in this paper the bornological aspects of the space $X$ of integral functions of several complex variables. By $Y$ we denote the space of all power series with positive radius of convergence at the origin. We introduce bornologies on $X$
 and $Y$ and prove that $Y$ is a convex bornological vector space which is the completion of the convex bornological vector space $X$.

Beginning with Valiron [262], the value distribution theory of algebroid functions of one complex variable has been studied extensively. A few contributions are listed under references. The Nevalinna theory of meromorphic functions on a complex manifold M or meromorphic mappings from M into a projective variety has been studied (see Griffith-King [75], Stoll [239], Vitter [265]). Here we will concentrate on the value distribution theory and its application of algebroid functions in several complex variables.

The class of operator-valued functions which are homogeneous of degree one, holomorphic in the open right polyhalfplane, have positive semi-definite real parts there and take selfadjoint operator values at real points, and its subclass consisting of functions representable in the form of Schur complement of a block of a linear pencil of operators with positive semidefinite operator coefficients, are investigated. The latter subclass is a generalization of the class of characteristic matrix functions of passive 2n-poles considered as functions of impedances of its elements, which was introduced by M. F. Bessmertnyi. Several equivalent characterizations of the generalized Bessmertnyi class are given, and its intimate connection with the Agler-Schur class of holomorphic contractive operator-valued functions on the unit polydisk is established.

We study the universal overconvergence and its relations with Ostrowski gaps for holomorphic functions of several complex variables.

The concept of bounded $L$-index in a direction $\mathbf{b}=(b_1,\ldots,b_n)\in\mathbb{C}^n\setminus\{\mathbf{0}\}$ is generalized for a class of analytic functions in the unit polydisc, where $L$ is some continuous function such that for every $z=(z_1,\ldots,z_n)\in\mathbb{D}^n$ one has $L(z)>\beta\max_{1\le j\le n}\frac{|b_j|}{1-|z_j|},$ $\beta=\mathrm{const}>1,$ $\mathbb{D}^n$ is the unit polydisc, i.e. $\mathbb{D}^n=\{z\in\mathbb{C}^n: |z_j|\le 1, j\in\{1,\ldots,n\}\}.$ For functions from this class we obtain sufficient and necessary conditions providing boundedness of $L$-index in the direction. They describe local behavior of maximum modulus of derivatives for the analytic function $F$ on every slice circle $\{z+t\mathbf{b}: |t|=r/L(z)\}$ by their values at the center of the circle, where $t\in\mathbb{C}.$ Other criterion describes similar local behavior of the minimum modulus via the maximum modulus for these functions. We proved an analog of the logarithmic criterion desribing estimate of logarithmic derivative outside some exceptional set by the function $L$. The set is generated by the union of all slice discs $\{z^0+t\mathbf{b}: |t|\le r/L(z^0)\}$, where $z^0$ is a zero point of the function $F$. The analog also indicates the zero distribution of the function $F$ is uniform over all slice discs. In one-dimensional case, the assertion has many applications to analytic theory of differential equations and infinite products, i.e. the Blaschke product, Naftalevich-Tsuji product. Analog of Hayman's Theorem is also deduced for the analytic functions in the unit polydisc. It indicates that in the definition of bounded $L$-index in direction it is possible to remove the factorials in the denominators. This allows to investigate properties of analytic solutions of directional differential equations.

The principal objective of this paper is to introduce the ideas of relative $\varphi $-type, relative $\varphi $-weak type of entire functions of several complex variables and study some growth properties concerning them.

We prove a realization theorem for rational functions of several complex variables which extends the main theorem of Bessmertnyĭ (in: Alpay, Gohberg, Vinnikov (eds) Interpolation Theory, Systems Theory and Related Topics. Operator Theory Advances and Applications vol 134. Birkhauser Verlag, Basel, pp 157–185, 2002). In contrast to Bessmertnyĭ’s approach of solving large systems of linear equations, we use an operator theoretical approach based on the theory of Schur complements. This leads to a simpler and more “natural” construction to solving the realization problem as we need only apply elementary algebraic operations to Schur complements such as sums, products, inverses, and compositions. A novelty of our approach is the use of Kronecker product as opposed to the matrix product in the realization problem. As such our synthetic approach leads to a solution of the realization problem that has potential for further extensions and applications within multidimensional systems theory especially for those linear models associated with electric circuits, networks, and composites.
