Navigating Social Media in #Ophthalmology
Increasing numbers of smart phone users and Social Network Services (SNS) created a new pattern and characteristic called Social Lifestyle, the way of smartphone users to supply and consume various social media contents. Many SNS services provide individual solutions to group users within a physical location or those who share a common interest in order to exchange and share personal knowledge and contents. Although some of the web-based open platforms are trying to integrate the individual social applications and APIs, there are limitations of sharing social contents and social network information across the separated service providers and platforms. In order to solve such limitations and complexities, there needs to be a generalized model which supports a unified way of social content sharing as well as the system architecture for support the cross social media sharing mechanism. To do so, the paper initially proposes the Place-Content-Social Network based content sharing model (PCS Model) which supports a sophisticated way of connecting user interests for sharing contents within the boundaries of the locations and social network information. The PCS model also provides a social trust for sharing contents based on the analysis of the attributes of the social contents including the user participation, communication patterns and contents sharing activities called the Social Activities.

Despite increasing attention to the influence of customer involvement and social media in developing innovation in small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), few studies have specifically investigated how to improve the effectiveness of social media–based customer involvement. Drawing on the knowledge-based view, social network and capability theories, we address this question by arguing that Social Customer Relation Management (CRM) enhances the effect of social media–based customer involvement upon innovation. Two key capabilities further enhance the moderating effect of Social CRM: social media network and customer information processing capabilities. The results from a longitudinal dataset of 317 SMEs indicate that SME customer involvement, enabled by Social CRM, social media network and customer information processing capabilities increases innovation. These findings have important implications for researchers and managers interested in enhancing the efficacy of SME customer involvement using social media.

The Internet anonymity for a long time made it difficult for journalists to use the content presented in it. Now, thanks to the convergence of the "virtual" personality and the "real" one, this problem has been mitigated. Journalists begin to perceive social networks as sources of information, and they start to interpret what is published in them as reliable data or public statements. This research shows the extent of penetration of social networks information to the media, characterizes structural-functional features of this recent journalism tool. This work shows how often, when and for which purposes Media uses the social networks and how does this situation influences the articles. The continuous selection from RIA Novosti, Life.ru and Lenta.ru (683 articles) allowed us to examine features of representation of information from social networks. It was found that journalists use social media materials to confirm some fact or position of a person, as an information guide, they borrow there photos or videos, and, analyzing the comments, reproduce the "opinion of the audience". In general, it is shown that social networks have already secured the place of information providers for the media. The media began to trust this information, learned how to work with it, to process it for certain genres. There are even special software tools that allow Internet media to integrate very organically posts from social networks into their pages with publications when creating a site. The identical virtual personality of a real person, created now in social media, increasingly brings communication within the network closer to communication in real life, which expands the professional journalistic toolkit.
Read moreSocial media content aesthetic quality and customer engagement: The mediating role of entertainment and impacts on brand love and loyalty
Customer engagement is a key metric for gauging brands' social media success. Luxury fashion brands increasingly use social media to connect with customers. This paper tests a model of the antecedents and consequences of engagement with luxury fashion brands on social media. Developing a content aesthetic quality scale with a sample of 1166 buyers of luxury fashion brands, we identify two routes for how social media content can augment brand loyalty and foster brand love for luxury fashion brands. We reveal that the effectiveness of social media content in generating customer brand engagement depends on its ability to be entertaining. Specifically, our findings demonstrate that entertainment affects customer engagement and mediates the relationship between content marketing (specifically, content aesthetic quality and celebrity endorsement) and customer engagement with luxury fashion brands. Customer engagement fosters brand loyalty and brand love. Managerial implications for luxury brand managers and social media marketers are discussed.

Fuzzy soft set decision-making model for social networking sites
The 'social media' has become synonymous of today's generation. Approximately two third of Indians online spend time on different social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Whatsapp, Qzone, Google+, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc. Interaction, live chat, status updates, image- as well as video-sharing are few of the major aspects that play a role in the popularity of social media. This popularity provides an opportunity to study and analyse the characteristics of online social network graphs at large scale. Understanding these graphs is important to improve current systems and to design new means to determine them by important parameters such as: security, reliability, value added features, connectivity to other online social networks, etc. Hence, social network analysis (SNA) is becoming a vital tool for researchers, but all the necessary information is often available in a distributed environment. This paper presents fuzzy soft set decision-making model, which gives a new hypothesis for determining the popular social networking sites by involving significant parameters. The model has applied fuzzy soft set theory on 14 significant parameters to predict the popularity of social networking sites. The experimental result shows that the FSS decision-making model provides a new algorithm which is to determine the most popular networking site.

Read morePhenomenon of Sharenting in Slovak Parents
The study focuses on the growing phenomenon of parent sharenting. The research data was obtained by using a structured interview method. The research population comprised 11 respondents, ten females and one male aged AM=35 years. All respondents are parents of children between 2 and 25 years old, who use social networking sites and have at least once shared content about their children or adolescents in an online social networking environment. The research is unique in its focus, as there is a lack of research on the topic in Slovakia. The results of our research have shown that the age of parents does not influence the frequency or form of sharenting. The research results suggest that parents are mainly guided by personal preferences when sharing content about their children. Most of the parents consider sharing content about their children on social media a natural part of their lives. We found that parents are concerned about not knowing who can access the shared content. The risks associated with sharing content about children on social media perceived by parents are mainly misuse of photos and child abduction. Most parents inform their children about what content they want to share about them.
Read moreBystander Apathy and Intervention in the Era of Social Media
Bystander apathy has been a source of debate for decades. In the past half-century, psychologists developed theoretical frameworks to understand bystander activity, commonly referred to as bystander intervention models (BIMs). More recently, BIMs have been modified to facilitate initiatives to prevent various forms of online victimization. This chapter begins with a review of BIMs and recent applications of bystander intervention research to online environments. We also present several future directions for research along with applications for reducing technology-facilitated violence, including programming recommendations and theoretical development.
