This research aims to develop and validate the Android-based Unsil Basketball Guide (PUBbG) application. The method used in this research is the Research and Development method. Three experts were involved in validating the design and feasibility of the android application made and user validation by 66 students using the proportional random sampling technique. The instruments used are media and material expert validation instruments and user validation instruments using the System Usability Scale (SUS). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the overall application validity test results obtained percentages of 84%, 80%, and 90%, which means that the developed application is valid and feasible to use. The results of user validity using the SUS score are in the excellent category with a value of 72.95, and the results of the application effectiveness assessment based on a user survey get 8.68 results, which means that the application is practical to be able to improve the basic techniques of Bolabakset. This study concludes that the application product that has been made is in the appropriate category based on the results of expert evaluations and is effective for improving basic basketball techniques based on survey results to users.

Chapter 6 - Low-power integrated circuits for wearable electrophysiology

The article considers labyrinths in the context of the task of their creation and completion for use in the gaming IT industry. Artificial intelligence is currently used to simulate human behavior in computer games, which, depending on the algorithms, more or less imitates the intelligent behavior of a computer opponent. The peculiarity of a computer player is that at the software level, computer opponents have access to all objects of the game situation: the level map, the game board, etc. For a better human imitation of the behavior of the agent, the data coming to it is suppressed in such a way that it coincides with the data that a person in the same situation can receive using the senses. Therefore, it is important to apply appropriate algorithms for finding a way out of it, as well as recognizing their structure. The study of path-finding algorithms and the structure of the labyrinth for the detection of "human-like" approaches, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of such algorithms, allows us to identify better algorithms on the basis of which it is possible to develop games with a more interesting plot. Thus, this work is devoted to the research of algorithms for finding the structure of a labyrinth. Achieving the final goal involves the practical development of software in the Java language for visualizing their structure and obtaining specific values of the performance parameters of the selected algorithms. The work provides basic information about labyrinths, their main varieties and structures, and provides a mathematical model of an ideal labyrinth. Questions related to the selection of parameters for evaluating the effectiveness of their work, the direct analysis of algorithms, the design of a test application in Java and the analysis of the obtained results are investigated and resolved. During the performance evaluation, several structure research algorithms were analyzed in terms of speed of operation, and recommendations were given to choose the most optimal of the ones presented.

This paper proposes an innovative framework for analyzing execution times in distributed systems. This evaluation framework is designed to support both software development and production monitoring by providing valuable insights into how the application’s response time is broken down by operations. In addition, it should also help to spot abnormal behavior. Due to the large popularity of the Spring Framework for enterprise systems and its mature ecosystem, the evaluation framework is designed on top of it, and implicitly functions as a Java application. The evaluation framework integrates seamlessly with the popular metrics collectors, such as Prometheus, and provides the flexibility to export to other data sinks, such as Apache Kafka, enabling the clients to fully customize the flow of metrics through the system. The evaluation framework is purposefully designed to have a very flat learning curve, coupled with minimal CPU and RAM overhead. This means it is inexpensive to integrate into both new and existing projects, as well as to run.

The United States Air Force Test Pilot School (TPS) performs six to eight flight test management projects (TMP) annually. The TMPs cover all aspects of flight test including performance, flying qualities, avionic systems, and human factors. The flight tests are performed for a wide variety of government agencies and commercial sector companies. Test teams are composed of TPS students with a broad base of aviation and research flight experience. Student teams consist of four to six students made up of a 50/50 percent pilot/engineer mix. The test projects address all phases of testing from program introduction, through test plan working groups, technical/safety review boards, and test execution, to final oral and written reports. The test execution occurs over a period of 3 to 4 weeks and generally encompasses 4 to 20 flight test sorties. This paper provides the background of the USAF Test Pilot School program in general and the test management projects in particular. An overview of TPS technical capabilities and resources is provided. Examples of recent TMPs are detailed. These examples include efforts with Air Force research laboratories, Air Force major commands, and Technology Transfer programs using Cooperative Research and Development Agreements between the government and private companies INTRODUCTION The United States Air Force Test Pilot School (TPS) is the premier institute for training test pilots, test navigators, and flight test engineers in the conduct of flight test and evaluation of research, prototype, and production aerospace vehicles, systems, and weapons. The capstone event of the TPS curriculum is the test management program (TMP) in which student teams perform an extensive flight test project in support of a broad base of outside agencies. The TMP provides comprehensive end-to-end training in all phases of test management and execution. These programs provide students with practical hands-on test experience from program introduction to writing the final report and providing oral presentations of test results, conclusions, and recommendations to the customer and Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTQ leadership and technical personnel. The program presents students the opportunity to apply the technical, management, and leadership concepts taught during the course. Emphasis is placed on understanding customer technical requirements within the constraints of cost and schedule demands. To date, TPS has been exceptionally successful in meeting customer requirements and providing real world training for its students. The purpose of this paper is to highlight our recent programs, and to inform outside agencies of our capabilities to perform low cost, quick-reaction flight test programs. USAF TEST PILOT SCHOOL COURSE OVERVIEW The USAF Test Pilot School provides training in three courses: the Experimental Test Pilot Course, Test Navigator Course, and Flight Test Engineer Course. The courses are integrated to instill cooperation and understanding between test team members which is essential for successful flight test operations. Data group teams plan, fly, evaluate, and report on selected test projects throughout the course. The flying program for the pilots develops the knowledge, flying precision, and powers of observation necessary for successful flight evaluations. The flying program for navigators and engineers leads to an understanding of problems pilots encounter and familiarizes them with airborne test tasks needed to accomplish precise flight test techniques. Navigators and engineers perform extensive evaluations of airborne avionics and weapons systems to determine suitability under operational conditions. The course is divided into four phases: (1) Performance, (2) Flying Qualities, (3) Systems Test, and (4) Test Management The Performance Phase develops the theory and methods of evaluating aircraft takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, turn, acceleration, propulsion, and landing performance. The Flying Qualities Phase examines the stability and control characteristics which influence the ease of safely flying the aircraft during steady and maneuvering flight in execution of the total mission. During this phase, aircraft are tested to determine static and dynamic characteristics, estimate stability parameters, evaluate flight control system effectiveness, and measure engine-out handling quality characteristics. The Systems Test Phase evaluates aircraft avionics and their system integration. The Performance, Flying Qualities, and System Test Phases all have integrated academic and flying programs to maximize student training effectiveness. The Test Management Phase academics are integrated throughout the program with the actual test management project execution occurring during the latter part of the course. USAF TEST PILOT SCHOOL TECHNICAL RESOURCES The curriculum is supported with state-of-the-art instrumented aircraft and contemporary data acquisition and analysis systems. TPS serves as a self-contained Combined Test Force (CTF) providing extensive technical capabilities for complete flight test engineering. TPS instructs basic flight test techniques with four instrumented T-38A aircraft. The T-38A aircraft are instrumented with sensitive cockpit instrumentation (airspeed, altimeter, mach, g, angle of attack, and sideslip gauges) and a programmable data acquisition system. All four aircraft possess onboard data recorders and telemetry

This study presents evidence that a prototype touch interface technology emulating basic interaction techniques of a mouse pointing device is comparable in overall usability to a conventional mouse for a direct manipulation, graphical windowing software environment. The touch technology prototype involves using either a stylus or finger, with an overlay sensitive to changes in capacitance. Users practiced each technique (mouse, stylus, finger, keyboard with no mouse), in the context of carrying out office-related tasks on the first of a two day study, and then eight similar test tasks on the second day, in a completely within-subject design. Significant effects for time on task were found for Techniques and Tasks for five practice tasks on the second day of the study. The clearest significant effect was that the stylus technique was faster than the keyboard. A qualitative analysis of errors indicates that there were problems with the precision of pointing using the finger, and to a lesser extent the stylus and mouse. User comments and ratings indicate that the stylus and mouse were preferred comparably, and were preferred to the finger and keyboard techniques.

The Spring Framework is the most widely used framework for enterprise Java applications. It’s a complete platform with many Spring subprojects under the “Spring umbrella” that help you with almost anything you need. It has a great community, and it’s evolving much faster than Java EE (and has been since the beginning actually).

The last decade Digital Pathology is coming as a relevant and promising area for cancer research and clinical practice thanks to two main trends, 1) the availability of whole slide scanners for complete pathology slide digitalization, and 2) the development of several computational method for histopathology image analysis. However, there are very few works addressed to analyze the whole-slide digitized images (WSI) because their large resolution (e.g. 80,000 × 80,000 pixels at 40× magnification) resulting in huge computational cost for automatic analysis. This paper presents an application design of a meta-heuristic optimization method based on a genetic algorithm (GA) for exploration and exploitation of regions of interest for diagnosis in a WSI in combination with a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) trained in previous works [10], [11]. The preliminary results show that presented solution scales in computing time given the initial number of samples (initial population). The developed application in Java including the GA method for WSI analysis could be used for diagnosis support by pathologists thanks of its usability and visual interpretability through a probability map of the invasive tumor regions in the WSI.

In this paper we elaborate applicability of dependency injection pattern as a design solution for ad hoc network applications development. Dependency injection pattern promotes inversion of control. Inversion of control has to put the server to control the binding process. Our main idea was an architecture with a thin client and a server with more competences that promote competition of servers. We suppose that a server is interested to be occupied by servicing as much as possible. It discovers for possible engagements and optionally makes a dependency injection to a client. This is about servers that compete for an engagement, not about clients that find servers. Static and dynamical aspects of the application are specified by the UML. For the system implementation we used the LIME middleware and Java technology.

When different developer teams collaborate in the design and implementation of a large –and distributed– application, some care should be taken regarding the access to persistent data, since different components might use their own transactions and they might collide quite often, generating undesired blocking intervals. Additionally, when third-party libraries are used, they can provide unclear descriptions of their functionality and programmers might mistakingly use some of their operations. An access logger can be useful in both cases, registering the sentences actually sent to the database and the results of said sentences. Aspy is a tool of this kind, developed as a JDBC-driver wrapper for Java applications. It is able to save in a file the list of calls received by the JDBC driver, registering their parameters, starting time, completion time and either their obtained results or their raised exceptions. With such information, it is easy to identify common errors in database accesses and the set of transactions involved in blocking situations due to poor application design. We discuss three different techniques that were used for implementing Aspy, comparing their pros and cons.
