Study of an improved Apriori algorithm for data mining of association rules

The effort of data mining, especially in relation to association rules in real world business applications, is significantly important. Recently, association rules algorithms have been developed to cope with multidimensional data. In this paper we are concerned with mining association rules in data warehouses by focusing on its measurement of summarized data. We propose two algorithms: HAvg and VAvg, to provide the initialization data for mining association rules in data warehouses by concentrating on the measurement of aggregate data. These algorithms are capable of providing efficient initialized data extraction from data warehouses and are used for mining association rules in data warehouses.

Product arrangement, known as product display, is the layout or way of structuring products, especially products companies apply to attract consumers. Although one of the scopes of sales in the market is the delivery of information through galleries, storefronts require specialization and the ability to arrange products or displays following the standards and specifications of the company and the product itself. The resulting output directly affects the level of sales and information to be achieved in a store, especially in modern retail stores with a self-service format (self-service) such as minimarkets. To implement a display system, Data Mining is applied as a determinant of the layout of the merchandise. According to (Kusrini & Lutfi 2009), data mining is used to extract knowledge from databases. The discovery of association rules in data mining is an important issue, the core of which is the frequent pattern mining, Apriori algorithm is classical for the association rule mining, but it should repeatedly scan the database and can produce plenty of candidates. By examples, it is proved that Boolean matrix association rules algorithm can improve the algorithmic efficiency by reducing the times of accessing database and without producing candidates.

Mining association rules is one of the most important tasks for uncovering hidden patterns in datasets to aid organizations in making efficient decisions based on customer behavior and preference. In overcoming such problems engendered by data mining association rules, a better efficient Fp-TDA algorithm using advanced FP-Growth algorithms has recently been developed. Association rule mining is one of the fundamental research topics in data mining and knowledge discovery that identifies interesting relationships between itemsets in datasets and predicts the associative and correlative behaviors for new data. Rooted in market basket analysis, there are a great number of techniques developed for association rule mining. They include frequent pattern discovery, interestingness, complex associations, and multiple data source mining. Data mining is the process of finding correlations or patterns among dozens of fields in large relational databases. In this paper we propose a novel association rules for data mining to improve the famous algorithm Apriori. The proposed approach uses the intersection operation to generate frequent item sets. It is different from the existing algorithm as it scans the database only one time and then uses the database to mine association rules. The proposed technique has been implemented in a teaching evaluation system, to enhance the foundation in performance evaluation for staff in teaching issues.

Under the background of Internet big data era, the amount of data information in all walks of life is increasing day by day. How to filter, mine and manage different kinds of data information has become an important topic of network communication, public service data analysis, privacy protection and other activities. This paper mainly discusses the algorithm of association rules mining based on Apriori algorithm. The association algorithm is used to process the raw data and privacy data of different network data sets, and dig out the multi-level frequent itemsets in the database.

Analysis of Transaction Database Using Apriori Algorithm. This study examines the use of the Apriori algorithm for analysing transaction databases. In this paper we deal with association rule mining in the context of a complex, interactive and iterative knowledge discovery process. After a general introduction covering the basics of association rule mining and of the knowledge discovery process in databases we draw the attention to the problematic aspects concerning the integration of both. Actually, we come to the conclusion that with regard to human involvement and interactivity the current situation is far from being satisfying. In our paper we tackle this problem on three sides: First of all there is the algorithmic complexity. Although today’s algorithms efficiently prune the immense search space the achieved run times do not allow true interactivity. Nevertheless we present a rule caching schema that significantly reduces the number of mining runs. This schema helps to gain interactivity even in the presence of extreme run times of the mining algorithms. Second, today the mining data is typically stored in a relational database management system. We present an efficient integration with modern database systems which is one of the key factors in practical mining applications. Third, interesting rules must be picked from the set of generated rules. This might be quite costly because the generated rule sets normally are quite large whereas the percentage of useful rules is typically only a very small fraction. Smart online university party building system based on association rules data mining is designed and shown in the paper. According to the need of data patching, the association rules related to the target attribute will be searched by reasonably reducing the value of support, that is, find the corresponding conditional functional dependencies. For enhancing the data robustness, the neural model is applied into the training stage of the model. Furthermore, the system is implemented through the platform design. The user interface and the experience are jointly improved through the test.

Association rules in data mining are considered from a point of view of Chellas’s conditional logic. Thereby the association rules with full and no confidence can be naturally translated into conditionals. Further, an extension of conditional logic is introduced for dealing with association rules with intermediate values of confidence based on fuzzy-measure-based semantics.

The development of the Cafe / Restaurant business in Indonesia is growing rapidly, this can be seen from the many cafes / restaurants that have emerged which provide attractive interior design venues and offer a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere to gather with family and friends. Many competitors in business, especially in cafes / restaurants, require developers to find strategies that can increase sales, one of which is the use of transaction data.Data Mining is the process of extracting information from data sets through the use of algorithms and techniques involving the fields of statistics, machine learning, and database management system. A priori algorithms are a type of association rule in data mining. In this study using secondary data. The results of calculations and analysis of consumer research using Data Mining with the Apriori Algorithm method, overall from the sales sample data obtained 52 association rules that meet support above 20% and 50% confidence. Based on the test results using Rapidminer, it can be rejected by that the product that consumers are more interested in is the minimum confidence above 50%.

In this paper a system for voice of customer analysis is proposed, which will produce strong rules to help organization to take business decisions. It uses parallel association rule mining for rule generation and data usually tends to be very huge so partitioning is done on the basis of sentiment of customer. For this purpose text mining algorithm is used which extracts information from unstructured data. On these partitions of data association rule mining algorithm is applied which determines strong association rules and kept in a database. Domain experts can use these rules to take business decisions which can help an organization to have a better understanding of customer's all needs and wants.

In this paper we have proposed a new approach of Encoded Bitmap Indexing [3] that makes the Encoded Bitmap Indexing Technique well defined for most of the selection queries by using association rule of data mining. Furthermore, this approach makes Encoded Bitmap Indexing (EBI) up to date after specific duration. Actually, this thesis incorporates an idea of using dynamic n-items pattern selection for Encoded Bitmap Indexing technique lookup table to be well defined. We have used 2-items pattern selection of query predicate, 3-items pattern selection of query predicate up to n-items pattern selection of query predicate to select the most frequent pattern for the lookup table dynamically, consisting of database table attribute distinct values of character string and numbers (integer). The main feature of our work is that we have used association rule of data mining to determine the most frequent n-items pattern. It is the first time we select the n-items most frequent pattern dynamically for each attribute of the table which involved in indexing the table data.
