Abstract

The COVID 19 pandemic is unprecedented in scale and duration. The health, social and economic impacts were and still are significant. The tough measures, including lockdowns in the spring of 2020 and the winter period of 2020/2021, were necessary to prevent COVID-19 from becoming probably the second deadliest event in human history, after the Spanish flu.
