The Application of Complex Variables Function and Residue Theorem

The Cauchy integral formula is a fundamental and critical formula in the complex function, and it has a variety of applications in many aspects such as physics, engineering, and mathematics. This article focuses on the applications in the functions and two main theorems in the Cauchy integral formula. It explores the formula and provides corresponding proofs of the formula. To this end, the aim of the article is to use the Cauchy integral formula to cope with some difficult and complex integrals and functions. As a result, this article denotes to use the formula to simplify the complex and difficult problems and provides a practical and fast method. Hence, the article lists some examples to demonstrate the functions’ use of the Cauchy integral formula. At last, the article may serve as a reference for relevant research and survey in the field of the complex functions and provide insights into the Cauchy integral formula’s uses.

This paper is the Cauchy integral theorem and integral of complex function carried out a comparative analysis, summarized in the Cauchy integral theorem and Cauchy integral formula, higher-order derivative formula, residue theorem and the relationship between the derivations to be proved, the formula can be used in these areas, such as mechanics of materials.

ProfCom is a web-based tool for the functional interpretation of a gene list that was identified to be related by experiments. A trait which makes ProfCom a unique tool is an ability to profile enrichments of not only available Gene Ontology (GO) terms but also of ‘complex functions’. A ‘Complex function’ is constructed as Boolean combination of available GO terms. The complex functions inferred by ProfCom are more specific in comparison to single terms and describe more accurately the functional role of genes. ProfCom provides a user friendly dialog-driven web page submission available for several model organisms and supports most available gene identifiers. In addition, the web service interface allows the submission of any kind of annotation data. ProfCom is freely available at http://webclu.bio.wzw.tum.de/profcom/.

The Indian govt. celebrated 125𝑡ℎ anniversary of the great Mathematician of Indian soil Srinivasa Ramanujan on 22 December in the year 2012. Without any formal education and extreme poverty conditions, he emerged as one of great mathematician of India. His mathematical ideas transformed and reshaped 20th century mathematics and their ideas are inspiration for 21𝑠𝑡 century mathematicians. Srinivasa Ramanujan made substantial contributions to the analytical theory of numbers and worked on ‘elliptic functions’, ‘continued fractions’, and ‘infinite series’. He was a great Mathematician, who became world famous at the tender age of twenty-six. He was born into a family that had a humble background and that had no distinguished professional achievement, yet his mathematical ideas transformed and reshaped century mathematics and continues to inspire modern day mathematicians. Considered to be a mathematical genius, Srinivasa Ramanujan, was regarded at par with the likes of Leonhard Euler and Carl Jacobi. In spite of having almost no formal training in mathematics, Ramanujan’s knowledge of mathematics was astonishing. Even though he had no knowledge of the modern developments in the subject, he effortlessly worked out the Riemann series, the elliptic integrals, hypergeometric series, and the functional equations of the zeta function. The purpose of this paper is to introduce some of the contributions of Srinivasa Ramanujan in the field of mathematics.

In the paper we prove that the complex analytic functions are (ordinarily) density continuous. This stays in contrast with the fact that even such a simple function as G: R 2 --~ R 2, G(x, y) = (x, y3), is not density continuous [1]. We will also characterize those analytic functions which are strongly density continuous at the given point a E C. From this we conclude that a complex analytic function f is strongly density continuous if and only if f(z) = a + bz, where a, b E C and b is either real or imaginary. 1. The framework of generalized analytic functions arising from the related potentials (so-called k-harmonically analytic functions) has been developed in application to three-dimensional (3D) axially symmetric Stokes flow problems. Cauchy's integral formula for the class of k-harmonically analytic functions has been obtained, and series representations for k-harmonically analytic functions for the regions exterior to sphere and prolate and oblate spheroids have been derived. As the central result in the developed framework, a solution form representing the velocity field and pressure for 3D axially symmetric Stokes flows has been constructed in terms of two 0-harmonically analytic functions. It has also been shown that it uniquely determines an external velocity field vanishing at infinity. With the obtained solution form, the problem of 3D Stokes flows due to the axially symmetric translation of a solid body of revolution has been reduced to a boundary-value problem for two 0-harmonically analytic function...

Statement of the problem. The analysis of the deplanation hypothesis for linear and angular deformations in reinforced concrete in bending with torsion has been carried out. Results. A simple new method from the method of grids has been developed for complex functions under the combined action of bending and torsion. Diagrams of linear and angular deformities and a new hypotheses have been analyzed. Complex functions have been found to determine the linear and angular deformations, bending and torque moments in the compressed area of concrete. The author has found the projection coefficients of linear and angular deformations using diagrams of compressed concrete and main reinforcement. Deplanations from a special geometric figure of deformations in a complex function have been found. There are vectors of several triangles and gradients where the proportions of a hypotenuse, cathetuses and vectors have been derived. Conclusions. It is also important that similar relative values can be obtained for any vectors. A field of small squares have been plotted and jumps from lateral, normal and other cracks appear have been determined. Fillings of the deformation (stress) diagrams have been obtained for the analysis of the moments in bending with torsion using simple expressions or in a full form. The research on the complex function of linear and angular deformations and the approximation of a function from Timoshenko-Goodyear have been carried out. The error of the deformations value of using the complex function at the points under study is 2% and is 7% at any points of the cross section.

In this chapter we use the Cauchy theory to study functions that are holomorphic on an annulus, and analytic functions with isolated singularities. We describe a classification for isolated singularities. Functions that are holomorphic on an annulus have Laurent series expansions, an analogue of power series expansions for holomorphic functions on discs. Holomorphic functions with a finite number of isolated singularities in a domain can be integrated using the residue theorem, an analogue of the Cauchy integral formula. We discuss local properties of these functions. The study of zeros and poles of meromorphic functions leads to a theorem of Rouché that connects the number of zeros and poles to an integral. The theorem is not only aesthetically pleasing in its own right but also allows us to give alternate proofs of many important results. In the penultimate section of this chapter we illustrate the use of complex function theory in the evaluation of real definite integrals. This paper develops the unique total variance evaluation index to analyze the effect of suspension on coach handling dynamics. The residue theorem was introduced to compute the integral of analytic function on the closed contour and general result was given. The three-axle coach model derivations were established to calculate the mathematical yaw rate transfer function considering the series of roll steer. According to the theorem of Plancherel, the energy of system total variance in the time domain is equal to the energy in the frequency domain. By residue theorem, the total variance evaluation index can be calculated as sum of the residues and the mathematical expression was developed to account for any arbitrary three-axle vehicle. The total variance index considers vehicle inertia parameters, tire cornering stiffness, and the complex three-axle series of suspension roll steer. It can be immediately available for computation without having to resort to Newton’s Second Law and summing forces and moments. This approach was validated with the simulation of 3DOF model. And the relationship between the total variance and the traveling speed with influence of suspension roll steer was analyzed. This work simplifies the analysis of studying comprehensive performance with effect of suspension on handling characteristics. The vehicle designer could use this approach to get optimization design parameters.

Limit summability of functions was introduced as a new approach to extensions of the summation of real and complex functions, and also evaluating antidifferences. Also, limit summand functions generalize the (logarithm of) Gamma-type functions satisfying the functional equation F(x + 1) = f(x)F(x). Recently, another approach to the topic entitled analytic summability of functions, has been introduced and studied by the author. Since some functions are neither limit nor analytic summable, several types of summabilities are needed for improving the problem. Here, I introduce and study functional sequential summability of real and complex functions for obtaining multiple approaches to them. We not only show that the analytic summability is a type of functional sequential summability but also obtain trigonometric summability (for functions with a fourier series) as another its type. Hence, we arrive at a class of real and complex function spaces with various properties. Thereafter, we prove several properties of functional sequential, and also many criteria for trigonometric summability. Finally, we state many problems and future directions for the researches.

Written by a master of the subject, this text will be appreciated by students and experts for the way it develops the classical theory of functions of a complex variable in a clear and straightforward manner. In general, the approach taken here emphasises geometrical aspects of the theory in order to avoid some of the topological pitfalls associated with this subject. Thus, Cauchy's integral formula is first proved in a topologically simple case from which the author deduces the basic properties of holomorphic functions. Starting from the basics, students are led on to the study of conformal mappings, Riemann's mapping theorem, analytic functions on a Riemann surface, and ultimately the Riemann-Roch and Abel theorems. Profusely illustrated, and with plenty of examples, and problems (solutions to many of which are included), this book should be a stimulating text for advanced courses in complex analysis.

This article discusses the development of a method for processing the integral characteristics of electromagnetic devices, which are complex functions. In cases where a complex function has a dependence on a nonmonotonic function, its hyste-resis character is manifested. Such functions are difficult and sometimes impossible, to be processed by numerical dimensional-ity reduction methods (for example, the method of principal components, Wavelet transform). The developed method makes it possible to represent integral functions in an "expanded" form, i.e. get rid of back loops due to the monotonic representation of the nested function. The performed analysis of the dynamic characteristics of electromagnets shows that such processing does not result in the loss of important information, and the charac-teristics can later be transferred to the space of principal components. In this space, characteristics that have already been pro-cessed form a structured dependence and can be separated into clusters.

Fractal geometry plays an important role in the description of the characteristics of nature. Local fractional calculus, a new branch of mathematics, is used to handle the non-differentiable problems in mathematical physics and engineering sciences. The local fractional inequalities, local fractional ODEs and local fractional PDEs via local fractional calculus are studied. Fractional calculus is also considered to express the fractal behaviors of the functions, which have fractal dimensions. The interesting problems from fractional calculus and fractals are reported. With the scaling law, the scaling-law vector calculus via scaling-law calculus is suggested in detail. Some special functions related to the classical, fractional, and power-law calculus are also presented to express the Kohlrausch–Williams–Watts function, Mittag-Leffler function and Weierstrass–Mandelbrot function. They have a relation to the ODEs, PDEs, fractional ODEs and fractional PDEs in real-world problems. Theory of the scaling-law series via Kohlrausch–Williams–Watts function is suggested to handle real-world problems. The hypothesis for the tempered Xi function is proposed as the Fractals Challenge, which is a new challenge in the field of mathematics. The typical applications of fractal geometry are proposed in real-world problems.

Constructal design for a boiler economizer

Replication of minute virus of mice (MVM) induces a sustained cellular DNA damage response (DDR) which the virus then exploits to prepare the nuclear environment for effective parvovirus takeover. An essential aspect of the MVM-induced DDR is the establishment of a potent premitotic block, which we previously found to be independent of activated p21 and ATR/Chk1 signaling. This arrest, unlike others reported previously, depends upon a significant, specific depletion of cyclin B1 and its encoding RNA, which precludes cyclin B1/CDK1 complex function, thus preventing mitotic entry. We show here that while the stability of cyclin B1 RNA was not affected by MVM infection, the production of nascent cyclin B1 RNA was substantially diminished at late times postinfection. Ectopic expression of NS1 alone did not reduce cyclin B1 expression. MVM infection also reduced the levels of cyclin B1 protein, and RNA levels normally increased in response to DNA-damaging reagents. We demonstrated that at times of reduced cyclin B1 expression during infection, there was a significantly reduced occupancy of RNA polymerase II and the essential mitotic transcription factor FoxM1 on the cyclin B1 gene promoter. Additionally, while total FoxM1 levels remained constant, there was a significant decrease of the phosphorylated, likely active, forms of FoxM1. Targeting of a constitutively active FoxM1 construct or the activation domain of FoxM1 to the cyclin B1 gene promoter via clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-enzymatically inactive Cas9 in MVM-infected cells increased both cyclin B1 protein and RNA levels, implicating FoxM1 as a critical target for cyclin B1 inhibition during MVM infection.IMPORTANCE Replication of the parvovirus minute virus of mice (MVM) induces a sustained cellular DNA damage response (DDR) which the virus exploits to prepare the nuclear environment for effective takeover.
