The Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (Dematel) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) for Learning Material Evaluation System

Occupational health and safety (OHS) issues might be considered one of the main considerations among European countries as many employees encounter dangerous workplace conditions during work. Therefore, decision makers in these countries have initiated related projects to reduce the number of occupational accidents. Turkey is one of those countries that training activities have become mandatory due to a current OHS legislation amendment. In every workplace there are some OHS risks. It is well known that taking required precautions prior to occupational accidents is much more efficient and effective than doing it subsequently. In fact, only 2 percent of these OHS risks are unpreventable, whereas the remaining risks can be prevented easily (Kilkis & Demir, 2012). In Turkey, every year approximately 77.000 occupational accidents occur. More than 1000 employees lose their lives, while more than 5.000 employees become permanently disabled due to these occupational accidents (Korkmaz & Avsalli, 2012). In the institution, where this study was conducted, approximately 30.000 employees work. OHS training in the institution consists of theoretical and practical parts. In the practical part, when the necessity of gathering thousands of employees in various training centers and duration of those trainings are considered, it is obvious that OHS training activities would cost much and could cause administrative problems for the institution. Hence, the institution has decided to deliver theoretical part of the OHS training online in order to cope with this issue. Purpose: In this study, an online learning module on OHS, which had been previously developed by one of the biggest public institutions in Turkey, was improved. As the process of implementing improved learning materials takes much time, only preliminary findings were shared. The purpose of this study is twofold: first, to share the results of the impact of previous learning materials and staff’s thoughts about them; and secondly, to discuss features of new learning materials and process of improving them. Theoretical Framework: As the theoretical framework, Ricketts’s (2015) nine suggestions pertaining how to write safety stories were chosen so as to help designers write digital stories related to OHS. Besides, Cinar’s (2012) experience-based e-course design model was used to facilitate the process of improving the learning materials. Method Formative research method of Reigeluth and Frick (1999) was adopted as the study’s methodology. Approximately 9070 employees currently working at the institution filled in the online survey on the LMS. Staff were asked to answer nine survey questions related to their experience, attitude and thoughts about OHS module delivered via online learning. It should be noted that this survey was developed and administered by the institution at the end of the training without proving its reliability and validity. Since the number of the participants were quite high, this scale was used just to give some idea about staff’s experience, thoughts and attitudes towards OHS training. In addition to nine close-ended questions in the survey, there was also one open-ended question at the end to obtain staff’s detailed suggestions regarding how to deliver online learning more effectively. In line with Cinar’s (2012) suggestions, design team visited the institution to gain the broader sense of organizational culture. Then, OHS legislations and previous learning materials were examined carefully by each member of the design team. In order to analyze current situation of OHS training in the institution, survey results and staff’s posts on the LMS discussion board were also examined. After the analysis, it was agreed to write safety stories and use formative evaluation activities. An LMS, which had been previously used by the institution, was decided to be used in order to deliver the learning materials developed with an e-learning software. Safety stories and learning materials were shown to a line manager of the institution and a field expert to obtain their feedbacks. Following this, the design team checked the learning materials and gave feedback to each other. In this way, bugs and spelling errors were fixed. Finally, two short tutorial videos were recorded with the purpose of aiding staff to get used to new learning materials. Expected Outcomes As for findings, in a nutshell, previous learning materials lacked engagement, interaction, visuality, authenticity, and formative evaluation. Some staff of the institution demanded face-to-face OHS training claiming it was such an important training activity that it could not be risked by delivering via online learning. Possibly due to lack of visuality, many of the staff reported learning materials as quite boring. Another finding from the analysis indicates that institution’s staff request the learning materials to be customized to their workplace to better understand authentic implementation of the legislation. That is to say, rather than being generic to all institutional staff, they want it to encompass specific examples for each job title. Another one of the most prevalent complaints about the training was about the legislation’s applicability in workplaces. Personnel do not believe managers know regulations and are eager to implement those in the institution. In addition, some personnel expressed that an evaluation is necessary to be able to monitor to what extent the staff have learnt from the learning materials. As it is aimed to improve previous learning materials, it is expected to raise the awareness of OHS to reduce the number of occupational accidents in the institution. In addition, the new learning materials consist of different activities to enrich learning process, which can also be expected to contribute to interaction and engagement. By doing this, the legislations could be learnt easier and more effectively. Not only do improved learning materials contribute to learning process in a way of taking courses such as drag and drop activities, they might also promote transformative learning with safety stories to adapt the legislations to the staff’s workplaces. Finally, we expect to make contribution to the OHS field in order to improve training activities in different workplaces.

A new safety risk assessment model for battery pack production processes was developed using the DEMATEL-ANP method to analyze the impact and complex relationships of risk-influencing factors. Initially, five major risk-influencing factors were identified, leading to the construction of a 15-factor indicator system. Through the DEMATEL method, these factors were categorized into cause and result factors. Subsequently, by combining the DEMATEL and ANP methods, key risk-influencing factors were identified by comparing ANP weights with hybrid weights adjusted through the DEMATEL-ANP method. Finally, integrating the DEMATEL-ANP method with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method allowed us to assess the overall fire safety risk level. Our findings highlighted “hazards in the test process” and “fire hazards” as critical risk factors needing control and elimination in the highly hazardous battery pack production process. This method offers dynamic evaluation and valuable insights for safety management in battery pack production.

Some factors of low interresting of Mathematic learning material for student on Junior High School grade (SMP/MTs) are design of learning material that is less animation and the difficuties of use the learning material. Therefore, the use of learning material should be inovated for increasing the learners’ interrest, to make them easy understanding the subject that has been learnt, and still capable to increase reigion value in their ownselves . One form of this effort is to create learning material in the form of flash mathematics with c onsits Islamic v alue . Flash application is an application that can be developed in accordance animatif developer creativity. The purpose of the research is the developing of learning material in the electric learning form that consi s ts Islamic value in Transformation subject. The method of research is research and development, and the design of the research is using the steps of ADDIE model, there are analysis , design , development , implemetation , and evaluation . Data collection techniques included interviews and observations with research instruments are questionnaires, observation sheets and tests. Further analysis of the data conducted by researchers consists of qualitative and quantitative analysis to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the teaching materials developed. The results of the expert evaluation consisting of a material expert and a media expert, shows that the average velue obtained from every aspects: content qua l ity and purpose , instructional quality of learning material, aspects of the charge Islamic value, and the technique quality was 4.37 that very good category. The results of t he assessment by the teachers of Junior High School grade (MTs) Nurul Huda Munjul which consist of two Mathematic s teacher and a teacher of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) , shows that the average velue of each aspect was 4.46 with very good category. Than the student q uation n a i re responses result data obtained by the average velue of each aspects: the quality of learning and instructional, technic al aspects of the display, and payload integrit ion aspects of Islamic value in learning material, namely 3.98, with good categories. The data test scores of student learning outcomes gained an average of 82.34 > KKM (75) with the classical completeness of 89.19% > 85%. The conclusion showed that the quality of Mathematic learning material s charged Islamic velues are developed with m acromedia f lash and c atamsia aplications is feasi ble and effective to be used in the learning process. The development of the digital era requires a breakthrough in the learning process physical education. This to a paradigm shift in the learning process from used traditional media that become uses digital media. The use of digital teaching materials has been applied in several subjects, but the use of digital teaching materials is still limited in physical education learning. To optimize the use of digital teaching materials in learning physical education a supportive learning model is needed. Personalized system of instruction (PSI) is one of the learning models that becoming with the digital teaching materials in physical education learning. This study purpose describe application digital teaching materials in aligned with personalized system of instruction model (PSI).

This research is motivated by the fact that the quality of the teaching of the English for Tourism needs to be improved by modifying learning patterns and materials that are more suited to the character of Generation Z. The aim of this research is to provide an overview of the learning process for courses related to tourism so that it matches with the characters of generation Z. This research was carried out using descriptive and experimental methods. It is called descriptive because the researchers describe the learning conditions according to the theme of this research and the completeness of the learning documents. Meanwhile, this research is called experimental because the researcher carried out practical teaching experiences with ideas and learning processes that suit the character and psychological nuances of Generation Z. The results of this research are modifications to the Semester Learning Plan or RPS which was prepared before the experiment was carried out; so that an activity model and learning materials that are appropriate to the research theme were obtained. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide inspiration for similar learning in other courses.

This study reports the implementation of ICT-based learning materials using Blendspace in phonology classes. The ICT-based learning material was developed in the academic year of 2016/2017. The study was conducted in two stages. The rst stage was the validation of the teaching material by two expert judges. The second stage was trying out of the teaching material in the classroom using classroom action research. The learning material developed has been validated by experts using a checklist as an instrument, which has been analysed using the Gregory formula. The expert judges showed that the content validity of the learning material is 90.9%, which means very valid. In order to test the effectiveness of the learning material, it has been implemented in phonology classes joined by the second-semester Diploma III students of the English Department of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, using classroom action research. Based on the teaching and learning process using the material, more than 70% of the students obtained scores between 76 and 100. Fewer than 30% of the students had scores below 75. Therefore, the learning material is considered effective for learning phonology.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to develop teaching and learning materials for artificial intelligence(AI) math classes, to confirm the appropriateness of the contents and methods of materials for high school students, and to understand educational effects as math education materials.
 Methods Teaching and learning materials were developed by selecting a linear regression and Monte Carlo method containing mathematical learning elements of the high school curriculum among machine learning of AI. The developed learning materials were applied to 5 second-year high school students, and based on the results, teaching and learning materials were finally completed.
 Results As a result of the study, math classes using AI stimulated students' reflective thinking in the learning process and helped them understand math progressively. In addition, it stimulated students' interest and curiosity in mathematics and had a positive effect on improving the affective domain of mathematics.
 Conclusions The result of this study provides some useful implications to development of teaching and learning materials that can understand AI mathematics using Python programming, and experience internal-external connections. And it is expected to be a useful guide for construction of teaching and learning materials for AI math classes.

The learning process is a series of interactions between teachers and students to achieve predetermined learning goals or in other words learning is a form of learning process and maturation of students. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the government adopted a policy to implement online learning as an effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Online learning activities require creative and innovative learning models so that students can carry out learning activities effectively. With e-learning, learning materials are also delivered in detail and help students make it easier to understand learning materials. The purpose of this study is to determine the e-learning learning model in schools. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative approach with data obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the e-learning-based learning model in schools had two systems in delivering learning materials to students, namely; 1) Synchronous (directly), the teacher provides learning materials and students can directly listen to them, and 2) A-Synchronous (indirectly), messages or learning materials are not directly conveyed to students but recorded first.

Learning media are all forms of tools or materials used in the learning process to help students understand and master the subject matter. This media can be in the form of physical objects, technology, or a combination of both designed to communicate information more effectively and facilitate understanding and retention of learning concepts. The learning and teaching process that uses web-based learning media for distance education is required to be independent and responsible for the learning process because one can learn anywhere, at any time. The important thing is that the tools are available. This research uses a systematic literature review method using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA). The research aims to explain web-based learning media for distance education. The research results show that through web-based learning media, students can search for and retrieve information or learning materials based on the syllabus or criteria set by the teacher or education manager. Students will have a wealth of information because they can access information from anywhere related to their learning material, through web-based learning media used for distance education can be increased by using learning materials that are well-designed professionally and pay attention to and use the characteristics of characteristics of multimedia.

With regard to the studying styles preferred by the students, analysis has been made to find if students can be assisted in their learning process by the application of advanced information technologies. Students who prefer various studying styles expressed their positive, though diversified, opinions about the merits of using information technologies. Realizing the value of the students’ positive assessment regarding the utilization of information technologies in the learning process, conditions should be created for them to have the opportunity to broadly use them in modern technical education.

One of the important keys to improve undergraduate students’ learning process is by using a good learning material, especially for those who are from mathematics department. In this study, the learning material was developed not merely by considering the characteristic of the materials and supported by appropriate models, methods and approaches. Further than that, it also pays attention on learning obstacles faced by the undergraduate students from both internal and external perspectives. By this way, the learning material was made based on epistemology, didactic, and learning trajectory. This study was undertaken by applying Didactical Design Research (DDR) which has three analytical phases: didactical situation analysis prior; metapedidactical analysis; and retrospective analysis. This study was beginning with problems (concept founding or even concept reinforcement), then the problems was analysed by the students by referring textbook for students and lastly making the teaching guide based on the learning obstacle, didactical, and learning trajectory. After learning process and learning obstacle test was done, an analysis was carried out and it shows that the didactical design successfully improved the undergraduate students’ representation and communication skill. However, it seems that the undergraduate students’ representation skill does not significantly affect to their communication skill.

Monitoring and evaluation systems are used by organizations or governments to measure, track progress, and evaluate the outcomes of projects. Organizations can improve their performance, effectiveness, and achieved results in project success by strengthening their monitoring and evaluation systems. Moreover, various studies reveal the need for information and communication technology systems in monitoring and evaluation activities. Despite the advantage of the tools, most organizations do not employ computerized monitoring and evaluation systems due to their cost and limited expertise whereas those having these systems lack a systematic alert mechanism of the projects' progress. Currently, the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly, and Children of Tanzania monitors and evaluates its projects manually facing the risks and consequences of delayed project completeness. In this study, the evolutionary prototyping approach was used to develop the proposed system. This study describes the development of a web-based monitoring and evaluation system that aims to solve the monitoring and evaluation challenges, simplify works, generate quality data, and provide timely successful project implementation. The developed system was tested and evaluated against the user’s requirements and was positively accepted to be deployed at the Ministry of Health.

Learning activities during the Covid -19 pandemic were dominated by online learning, so digital learning materials are needed to help increase student learning motivation. The purpose of this development research is to develop digital learning material based infographic by instagram on environmental education that can increase student learning motivation in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This development research uses a method that integrates the Borg and Gall models. The data obtained were through documentation, interviews, expert validation and provision of ARCS questionnaires. The results of the validity test based on the analysis of the expert's assessment data stated that this learning material fell into the "very valid" category with an average score of 3.66. During the learning process using infographic learning materials assisted by Instagram, there was an increase in student motivation with an initial percentage value of 54.25% to 83.75% after using the learning materials developed, the magnitude of the increase was obtained from the n gain test with a score of 0.67 in the moderate category.

Through this paper, we will provide a brief overview of the 3D virtual library project and a more detailed review of its current application for English language learning. The implementation of the library project makes use of the innovative 3D presentation features of the MaxWhere Seminar System. As an innovative application of the project, we compiled a bilingual learning material for Hungarian students to improve their language skills and competence in English at an advanced level. The complex structure and organization of the learning material is based partially on the hypertextual relationships between entries of selected keywords containing various contexts from different works of world literature. We developed the learning material taking into careful consideration the appropriate characteristics of the hyperlink structure. Our basic hypothesis was that if the bilingual learning material is organized as a more or less scale-free network of interconnected nodes, this might or would result in an optimized and efficient knowledge transfer in the learning process. After the first version of the material had been completed, we wanted to evaluate the overall difficulty of the material. As such, we were using the Google Translate (GT) service to check the proper understanding of a set of selected English language phrases and sentences through their Hungarian translations provided by GT. As a result, we created a more or less scale-free learning material whose linguistic content has been properly checked.

Learning media significantly impacts the effectiveness of the learning process. The automotive industry is experiencing rapid development, resulting in a high demand for technicians with expertise in the automotive field. The purpose of this study was to test the development of Smart Apps Creator (SAC) to create interactive learning resources for Engine Management Systems (EMS). This research and development (RD) project used the ADDIE development approach. Five subject matter experts and five media specialists comprised an expert assessment group that validated and evaluated the media to ensure its feasibility. In addition, 62 students reviewed the learning materials as users of the application. The media specialists' evaluation of the feasibility of the learning media construction resulted in a score of 4.02, which is considered practical. The subject matter experts' evaluation of the feasibility of the learning media material resulted in a score of 4.15, which is considered practical. The students' evaluation of the acceptance of the learning media as users resulted in a score of 4.07, which is classified as practical. Meanwhile, the application implementation in the learning process proved to increase learning success among students who used the program development. All things considered, the findings of this study can be used as evidence that application-based learning materials are worthy of widespread use, which will further improve teaching standards. Furthermore, vocational teachers must innovate in developing learning media by utilizing and integrating technology into the process. The creation of such media is necessary in the 21st century to provide easily accessible and understandable learning materials so that students can effectively absorb the information.
