The Development and Application of Extensible Computer Network Design System

Nowadays, the development of computer network technology (NT) is so rapid that the 21st century is called .net century and the computer network has become indispensable communication medium for human beings. The application of NT in transportation infrastructure administration has also been developed these days. This paper presents a feasible approach of combining NT with Transportation Infrastructure Management System (TIMS), including building available network structure for transportation infrastructure administration, organizing reasonable data flow in TIMS based on network and designing comprehensive software frame and function of TIMS. As a result, a novel frame for TIMS based on computer network has been constructed in this paper. Furthermore, the proposed approach has been applied in building City Infrastructure Management System (CIMS) of Shanghai Municipal Engineering Administrative Department, China, which has been operated for several years successfully.

Under the background of the development of computer network technology, the new Internet media has developed rapidly in the information age, and penetrated into people's daily life. I will first elucidate these convergences; I will then discuss cultural characteristics of specific East Asian cultures, focusing on South Korea, China, and Japan.

Virtual networking laboratories have been very popular in the past few years, especially for training and education of network professionals. These laboratories are emulated computer network environments, based on virtualization technology, and have a number of advantages comparing to classical laboratories. Even with a large number of developed laboratory platforms, there are a small number of attempts to evaluate these systems and to find out how effective they are. This paper presents an approach to the evaluation of the virtual networking laboratory, primarily by the evaluation of its exercises used for a computer‐networking course at the university. We are going to employ an approach based on the relation of indiscernibility and the rough set theory in order to produce a model based on if–then rules, starting from low‐level data. This model helps to identify the most important parts and eventual mistakes in the evaluated exercises, creating the possibility for their improvement and overall student's achievement as well. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In the specific development process, the detailed business requirements and functional requirements of the entire school online teaching management system will be analyzed in detail. Based on this, by adopting an object-oriented approach, the system management included in the school's hybrid teaching management system will be further analyzed. Detailed analysis and design of the specific functional structure, work flow, work sequence diagram and class diagram of the online learning management and article management functional modules, and finally complete the implementation and testing of the various functional modules of the system.
