The Development of Online Disaster Information System Using Location Based Service (LBS) Technology

This study presents the development of a Web-based Geographic Information System (Web GIS) aimed at mapping historical tourism sites in Sumenep Regency. The system integrates Location-Based Services (LBS) to enhance the delivery of spatial information and support tourism promotion. A prototype-based methodology was used in designing and building the application, which includes planning, requirements analysis, system design, data collection, and testing. The system architecture was modeled using UML diagrams, including use case, activity, and entity-relationship diagrams to ensure functionality and data integrity. Spatial and attribute data were collected through literature reviews and transformed into an interactive web platform that allows users to search for and visualize historical tourism locations. The system supports administrative features for data input and updates, alongside public-facing features such as maps and visitor statistics. Testing was conducted using black-box methods to verify the system’s performance and reliability. The final output is a fully functional Web GIS platform that enhances public access to tourism information and assists local authorities in managing tourism data effectively. This research contributes to the advancement of digital tourism infrastructure and promotes cultural heritage visibility in the region.

<p>This study aims to find out how to build a web-based assignment information system by applying Leaderboard and Quest gamification elements at SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta TKJ Expertise Program and determine the eligibility level developed according to ISO 25010 Standards. Information system development using the Laravel web application framework. Development is carried out using the agile development software development model consisting of 5 stages, namely planning to produce functional and non-functional requirements. The research applies the Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) method in the analysis and design process. Analysis produces use case diagrams, Design produces activity diagrams and class diagrams. Implementation produces program code from development results. The system produces products uploaded to the server, which can later be accessed online and in real time. This information system has three levels of users, namely admin, teachers and students. The suitability test results using the ISO 25010 Standard on the three sub-characteristics of functional suitability, namely functional completeness, have an average value of 1 (Good). Functional correctness has an average value of 1 (Good). Functional appropriateness has an average value of 1 (Good). Characteristics of performance efficiency obtained an average result of GTMatrix Grade 85% (grade B). The average largest contentful paint is 1.423s (OK, but considering improvement). Average total blocking time 97.82ms (Good - nothing to do here). Average cumulative layout shift 0.023 (Longer than recommended). Portability characteristics have excellent results in that the system can run on desktop or mobile devices. Usability characteristics of 85% (Very Decent). The results of the respondent gamification test average score of 4.44 indicate that respondents are categorized as strongly agreeing with the existence of a web-based assignment information system by applying leaderboard and quest gamification elements. From the results of these tests, it can be concluded that the web-based assignment information system, using Leaderboard and Quest gamification elements at SMK Negeri 2 Surakarta TKJ Expertise Program, meets ISO 25010 quality standards. </p>

The development of a tourism object is an important sector in the development of an area to support the economic power of the people in the area, this also applies to the East Kalimantan province. In order to improve the tourist experience, the development of a tourist recommendation information system is a necessity. This research discusses the development of a web-based Tourism Recommendation Information System and Tourism Chatbot specifically for East Kalimantan Province.Item-Based Collaborative Filtering method is implemented in the development of this system. This method utilizes historical data of user preferences to recommend suitable tourist destinations. The data collected includes user preferences for various attractions, such as location, facilities, and types of activities. The development process starts from data collection and processing, building a web information system, to integration with a chatbot.Tourist Recommendation Information System provides recommendations for tourist destinations tailored to user preferences. Through a user-friendly web interface, users can explore interactive maps, find out the details of attractions, and see reviews from previous visitors. In addition, the Tourism Chatbot provides real-time information and recommendation services to users through an instant messaging platform. The trial results show that the Item-Based Collaborative Filtering method is able to provide recommendations that are relevant to user preferences. Users feel more assisted in planning their travel trips. The system also succeeded in increasing user interaction and engagement through the use of a responsive chatbot.In conclusion, the development of a web-based Tourism Recommendation Information System and Tourism Chatbot with the Item-Based Collaborative Filtering method can be an effective solution in improving the tourist experience in East Kalimantan Province. This system provides accurate recommendations and empowers users to plan a better and memorable tour.

This research aims to overcome challenges in the sales process at Rahman Electronic Store through the development of a web-based electronic sales information system. This research also aims to improve the product marketing strategy at the store. This sales information system is expected to be able to produce reports quickly and provide convenience in accessing information about products available at Toko Rahman. The research methods used include literature study, field research through observation, and interviews with shop owners and employees, as well as system analysis. The system design includes the creation of data flow diagrams, database structures, output design, and programming. The result of this research is the development of a web-based electronic goods sales information system that facilitates the process of selling products online through the Rahman Electronic Store website. Some of the main findings from this study include: A web-based sales information system assists Rahman Electronic Store in managing product information and sales transactions efficiently. The product management system provided by this system allows shop owners to easily manage product stock and prices. This system also provides sales displays, product orders, and payment processes that make it easier for customers to shop. With the existence of a web-based sales information system, it is expected that Rahman Electronic Store can increase the efficiency of the sales process and provide a better shopping experience for customers.

Purpose of the study: This study aimed to develop and evaluate a web-based patient service management information system to improve administrative efficiency at Su’adah Clinic in Palembang. Methodology: This research employed a research and development approach using the Waterfall system development model. Problem identification was conducted using the PIECES framework (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Service). Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation analysis at the clinic. The developed system integrates patient registration, administrative data management, payment processing, and automated reporting into a single web-based platform. Main Findings: The implementation of the developed system significantly improved administrative performance at the clinic. The average patient registration time decreased from approximately 10 minutes to 3 minutes, while average patient waiting time was reduced from 25 minutes to 10 minutes. The time required to retrieve patient records decreased from 5–7 minutes to less than 1 minute, and the preparation of monthly administrative reports was reduced from 2–3 hours to approximately 15 minutes. In addition, daily paper usage decreased from about 120 sheets to around 30 sheets after system implementation. User evaluation results indicated high acceptance of the system, with an overall satisfaction score of 4.5 out of 5. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study lies in the development of an integrated web-based patient service management system specifically designed for small-scale healthcare clinics, combining online patient registration, administrative management, payment documentation, and automated reporting within a single accessible platform.

We present a novel technique to send GPS coordinates to other mobiles through short message service (SMS) based on Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. Two algorithms, Kalman filter and velocity renovation, which can be used in conjunction with GPS are used as a basis for location tracking. This technique can be used to help people, using their mobile with or without GPS, to find the location of a friend using Google maps. The first coordinates are generated from a GPS assisted mobile on Google map, this location is then sent through SMS to another person. The latter can then see the exact location of the sender on his map with an accuracy of 0.57 m (Table 1). The advantages of this technology is by using existing equipments and free services like Google maps and GPS, we can construct a very reliable location tracking system. The basis of this program is GPS. GPS is a satellite-based navigation system made up of a network of 24 satellites placed into orbit by the United States (US) Department of Defense (DoD). GPS was originally intended for military applications, but in the 1980s, the government made the system available for civilian use. GPS can show you your exact position on the Earth in any weather conditions, anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day. There are no subscription fees or setup charges to use GPS. The improved location tracking algorithm which uses the Kalman filter with the velocity renovation process is implemented. The velocity renovation process consists of a velocity estimator and direction finder. By this process, the proposed algorithm can use accurately estimated velocity in the location estimation.

The dissemination of information at the village level is crucial for ensuring transparency to the residents. To facilitate the quick and easy communication of such information, a web-based village information system was developed. This system can be accessed by all community members, both within and outside the village, as long as they have an internet connection. Currently, Hegarmukti Village does not have an effective web-based information system, leading to delays in information delivery and a lack of accuracy. Moreover, the potential of the village remains under-promoted. This study aims to design and implement a web-based village information system for Hegarmukti Village using the Waterfall method. The system is developed using HTML for programming and MySQL for the database, with the goal of enhancing transparency and the efficiency of information dissemination. The system provides features such as village profiles, news updates, and population data searches, improving the accessibility and reliability of village information.

Location-based service (LBS) is a kind of mobile valueadded services in mobile communication systems. The development of mobile positioning techniques promotes application of LBS. This paper presents a type of architecture of LBS. In this architecture, TDOA positioning modules are appended into the mobile basestations in order to implement LBS. LBS gateway and application platform are two vital parts in this architecture. LBS gateway modules are added into MSC of the mobile communication networks. LBS application platform is similar to a mobile location server. TDOA positioning modules deal with rough location testing and simple data computing. LBS gateway is a comprehensive management device which processes location information related to the mobile users. LBS application platform incepts location information processed in LBS gateway, cooperates with the mobile terminal and sends location information to the mobile users by proper data format. LBS application platform is developed based on ArcIMS map server which provides a lot of APIs. The application programming flowchart for LBS is implemented in detail in this paper. The real testing in the mobile communication systems shows that the proposed LBS can provide exact location services for mobile users.

This chapter examines the causes of failure in a Web-based information system development project and finds out how complexity can lead a project towards failure. Learning from an Information System Development Project (ISDP) failure plays a key role in the long-term success of any organization desirous of continuous improvement via evaluation and monitoring of its information systems (IS) development efforts. This study reports on a seemingly simple (but only deceptively so) failed ISDP to inform the reader about the various complexities involved in ISDPs in general, and in developing countries in particular. An existing framework from contemporary research is adopted to map the complexities found in the project under study and the critical areas, which lead to the decreased reliability and failure in Web-based information system development, are highlighted.

This study aims to develop a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) for searching medical practices. The system is designed to provide the public with easy access to information on the location of medical practices in the city. The Haversine method is used to calculate the distance between the user's location and the medical practice locations, and the system displays the nearest locations on the map. The system was developed using the PHP programming language, MySQL database management system, and Google Maps API. The user interface was designed to be simple and user-friendly, with a search bar and filters for narrowing down search results. The system's feasibility was evaluated through a questionnaire answered by 20 respondents with seven questions. The average score was 84.42%, indicating that the system is highly feasible for use. The developed system is expected to facilitate the public's access to medical practices and provide a more efficient way to find the nearest doctor.

Digital technology can be used to solve problems that arise from business activity. One company that has not optimally used digital technology is PT Tiga Tapak Mutiara, which is engaged in manufacturing shoe labels. In its business process, each related division collects data, and the data collection results will be reported to the manager to unify work activities. The production data collection process has not been carried out optimally by the relevant divisions because the conventional recording is still carried out using a spreadsheet application which can slow down the reporting process to be monitored by the leadership. As a result, a slow process can impact not completing production on time. In addition to the problem of data collection, another problem is that the completion of orders received earlier is not compared to the orders received last. The aim and contribution of this research are to integrate business processes to overcome these problems in data collection, monitoring, and order completion activities. It is necessary to design a web-based monitoring information system with the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method and the application of the First In, First Out (FIFO) method so that the ordering process can run according to the time of order. The result of this research is a web-based information system that is useful for integrating business processes to monitor and optimize production activities to be completed on time. This web-based information system has also passed the functionality test using black box testing and is following the company's needs.

The aim of this study is to ascertain the attitude, intention and consumer behaviour of millennial generation toward the implementation of marketing communication by using Short Message Service (SMS) technology according to consumer location. In current technological developments, the promotion strategy, particularly advertising, has adapted through various digital marketing media. Mobile marketing, one of them is SMS Advertising still used by various companies in order to increase potential consumer awareness as the first step to trial product and encourage the purchases. Several previous researches discovered that most consumer attitude toward the SMS advertising tend to be negative. Moreover, SMS with Location-based advertising service disturb consumer privacy. This study tries to see the indicators which can be optimized to develop attitudes, intention and positive behaviours and the affordable effort as suggestion that the advertisements can be delivered by SMS with location-based advertising services and more effective to get attention and accepted by consumers of millennial generation.

PT. XYZ is an internet service provider thatowns various network devices such as routers, switches,and servers. Device management is still performedmanually without digital record-keeping, leading toinefficiencies, particularly in the process of requestingand checking device availability. This study aims todevelop a web-based inventory information system tomanage network devices systematically and efficiently.The system is developed using the Laravel frameworkand PHP programming language, and it is equipped witha dynamic QR Code feature that is automaticallygenerated for each recorded device. The inventoryinformation system website was tested through aContract Acceptance Test involving three user roles:Admin, NOC, and CTO, with an average evaluation scoreof 97.5. In addition, system functionality testing of thesystem was conducted using the black-box testing methodon 75 scenarios, all of which were successfully executed.Security testing results indicated a low security risk level.These overall testing results show that the systemfunctions as intended and capable of meeting user needsoptimally.

Waste management issues in Indonesia, particularly household waste which contributes 38.2% of the total national waste, demand a more systematic approach through waste banks. However, current waste bank operations are still dominated by manual recording, which is susceptible to human error, data loss, and inefficiency in generating periodic reports for the Environmental Office (DLH). This study aims to develop a Web-Based Waste Bank Information System to optimize customer data management, transaction accuracy, and financial report integration. The research methodology employed is Research and Development (R&D) using the Waterfall development model, which includes stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The research population involves waste bank administrators and customers as the primary subjects for operational trials. The results are expected to produce a digital platform capable of enhancing customer balance transparency, minimizing data entry errors, and accelerating administrative reporting processes, thereby supporting more efficient urban environmental governance.

PKBM Satria is a non-formal educational institution that still conducts its student registration and provision of learning materials manually. The main problems include incomplete data, swapped attachments, the risk of document loss, and limited learning access due to shared classroom usage. This research aims to develop a web-based information system using the Agile method to overcome these issues. The system's primary features include online registration, management of student and teacher data, and online learning. Black Box testing showed that all features function properly. The User Acceptance Test (UAT) results indicate the system is well-accepted by its users: admins gave an average score of 80% (very good), teachers scored 80.4% (very good), and students scored 67.1% (good). This study proves that implementing the Agile method is effective in producing an adaptive digital solution for non-formal education.
