The Effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning Model in Improving Collaborative Capabilities and Student Learning Outcomes in Class XI SMA

This purpose of this study is to describe the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students learning interest in class XI buffer solution material at MAN 5 Kediri, to describe the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student learning outcomes in class XI buffer solution material at MAN 5 Kediri, and to describe the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student interest and learning outcomes in class XI buffer solution material at MAN 5 Kediri. The sample for this research was 33 students of class XI MIPA 1 and 35 students of XI MIPA 2 at MAN 5 Kediri. This research data collection technique uses a questionnaire method to obtain learning interest data and a test method to obtain learning outcome data. The data analysis technique used is statistical parameter data analysis using the Independent Sample T-Test and MANOVA test. The results of this research show that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students learning interest in the buffer solution material for class XI at MAN 5 Kediri as evidenced by the average posttest interest in learning class XI MIPA 1 is greater than that of class XI MIPA 2, namely 139,82 ≥ 129,23 and the value of Sig. (2-tailed) experimental group, namely 0,000 ≤ 0,05, so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student learning outcomes in class XI buffer solution material at MAN 5 Kediri as evidenced by the average posttest learning outcomes for class XI MIPA 1 is higher than class XI MIPA 2, namely 81,21 ≥ 68,29 and the value of Sig. (2-tailed) experimental group that is 0,000 ≤ 0,05, so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student interest and learning outcomes in class XI buffer solution material at MAN 5 Kediri as evidenced by the significance value of interest and learning outcomes being 0,000. The significance value show 0,000 ≤ 0,05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

The aims of this research is to determine the chemistry instructional model to improve student learning outcomes, communicative and self confidence character’s for XI grade of senior high school on teaching solution chemistry. The 3 experiment class as a samples were taken by purposive random sampling respectively from 3 units of state senior high school (SMA Negeri) in Medan. These experiment class were taught by various teaching model. The experiment class-1 (Ec-1) taught by direct instruction strategy, experimen class-2 (Ec-2) by problem-based learning without media and experiment class-3 (Ec-3) by problem-based learning using the Internet media. The achievement test about solution chemistry used as instrument to know student outcomes, and quisionary and observation list used as intrument to know how communicative and confidence student characters. The one-way ANOVA in SPSS 19 for windows program used to hypothesis testing at α = 0.05 level of significance. The results shows (1) There is a significant differences of students' learning outcomes between students which taught by direct instruction model, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning model using internet media on teaching solution chemistry. (2) There is a significance differences of student communicative character between students which taught by by direct instruction model, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning model using internet media on teaching solution chemistry. (3) There is a significance differences of student self confidence character between students which taught by by direct instruction model, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning model using internet media on teaching solution chemistry. (4) There is a significant corelation between student communicative character with student learning outcomes in class who taught by problem-based learning using internet media. (5) There is a significant corelation between self-confident character with student learning outcomes in class who taught by direct instruction, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning using internet media.

One part that cannot be separated from efforts to improve learning outcomes is improvement in the form of innovative learning media. By using learning media in the teaching and learning process can help teachers to clarify the presentation of material so that it is verbal and provide stimulation and arouse student learning interest. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using instructional media on student learning outcomes using the Power Director video on the material of the name of the capital city and currency of ASEAN class VI at UPT SDN 317 Gresik. This study uses the True-Experimental Design method using the PretestPosttest Control Group Design. Data collection was carried out in two meetings. Two classes were obtained as research samples by dividing class VI students into two classes, namely VI A as the control class and VI B as the experimental class. To determine the effect of using Power Director video media, students were given PreTest and Post-Test. Pre-test is given to students before being given treatment at the beginning of learning while post-test is given after receiving treatment at the end of learning. From the results of hypothesis testing it is also stated that Ha is accepted with the provisions of 𝑡𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡(3,042) > 𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 (2,262), Thus it can be concluded that Media Video Power Director has an effect on student learning outcomes in social studies class VI at UPT SDN 317 Gresik.

This study aims to analyze the increase in learning outcomes for class IV Technical Services Unit (TSU) Elementary School (ES) 02 Silaut students in the 2022/2023 academic year. The research method used is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were 24 students of class IV TSU ES 02 Silaut. The research phase consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection methods are interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. Data collection instruments are used in the form of observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Before conducting classroom action research, namely, student learning outcomes in social studies class IV were low. The results showed that the learning outcomes for social studies content averaged 73 in the first cycle with 65% classical completeness, then increased in the second cycle with a significant increase to 82 and 85% classical completeness. While the indicator of success, namely 75%. So, it can be concluded that quartet learning media can improve student learning outcomes in Class IV TSU ES 02 Silaut.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model using Mind Mapping on student learning outcomes in class VIII of SMP Negeri 5 Bolano Lambunu. This research method is a quasi-experiment (Quasi Experiment) with a Non-equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. The sample of this study was 34 students, consisting of 17 students in the experimental class who used the Project Based Learning learning model using Mind Mapping and 17 students in the control class who used the conventional learning model. Data collection was carried out by conducting observations, interviews, and tests. Data analysis used prerequisite tests, namely, normality tests and homogeneity tests and hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-test and N-gain tests. The results of the study showed that (1) there was an effect of using the Project Based Learning learning model using Mapping on student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by a significant increase in student learning outcomes in the experimental class, with an average posttest score reaching 73.23, while the control class was only 64.70. The t-test shows a p value < 0.05, which means that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model using Mapping has a positive effect on student learning outcomes. (2) N-gain analysis shows that the experimental class has an average N-gain score of 0.65 (65%), which is included in the fairly effective category, while the control class is only 0.51 (51%), which indicates a less effective category. Thus, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning learning model using Mind Mapping is effective and can affect student learning outcomes in the science subject of class VIII-B SMP Negeri 5 Bolano Lambunu.

Based on the results of observations made by researchers at SDN Masangan Wetan in grade IV, with the implementation of the independent curriculum and face-to-face learning starting, the learning model used for energy material is not suitable for students' needs, besides that the project-based learning model has never been implemented, so that in learning activities many students are rowdy and do not focus enough during teaching and learning activities, and learning is not conducive which causes learning outcomes to be less than optimal, a study was conducted to determine the effect of the project based learning model on student learning outcomes in class IV energy material elementary schools and student responses to learning using the project based learning model. This research is a quantitative study with a one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at SDN Masangan Wetan, with a total of 40 grade IV elementary school. The results analysis of hypothesis testing using the t-test obtained Sig. 0.000 < 0.05, then H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the project based learning model on student learning outcomes in class IV elementary school energy material. The average results of learning outcomes in the pretest experimental class were 68.6 and 95.25 posttest, which increased by 39%, thus the use of these models affected student learning outcomes. The results of the questionnaire obtained a percentage of 99% with very good criteria.

This study aims to analyze the effect of problem-based learning (PBL) model on student learning outcomes in class XI Light Vehicle Engineering subjects at SMK Teknologi Plus Padang. The PBL model was chosen to increase students' activity, understanding, and interest in learning through contextual learning that can develop critical thinking skills. This study used quantitative methods with a Quasi Experiment design, involving 21 students in the experimental group and 21 students in the control group in the 2024/2025 school year. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Levene's homogeneity test showed that the pre-test and post-test data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the independent sample t-test revealed a significant difference between the experimental group (average 77.90) and the control group (average 50.48) with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.001 <0.05. These results indicate that the application of the PBL model can significantly improve student learning outcomes. The implications of this research provide evidence that problem-based learning models are effective in creating an active, collaborative, and meaningful learning environment, so they can be implemented in various learning contexts.

This research was conducted on Catholic students in class X at SMAN 1 Palangka Raya because the researcher experienced that the learning outcomes of the students were not optimal. Theerefore this study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Catholic students in Catholic Religion subjects, in class X, with the Problem Based Learning model. The object of observation in this study was cognitive student learning outcomes and the application of the elements of faith and morality to humans (Pancasila Student Profile). The outcomes were: in cycle I, only 18% included the proficient category, 45,45% included the proficient category, 33.4% included the appropriate category. Whereas in cycle II students who reached the proficient category reached 64%, the proficient category 36% and the feasible category 0%. Observational data related to the application of moral elements to humans in cycles I and II show that, on average, the achievement of the P5 indicator that has been determined by the researcher has increased by 45%. This it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model contributes positively to improving student learning outcomes in class X SMAN 1 Palangka Raya on the theme Human Beings Personal

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning by implementing a problem-based learning model. This research is experimental research. The research design used is one group design. The sample for this research was class VI MIN 3 West Aceh students. The data in this research was collected using observation and test techniques. The data obtained was then analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and t-test. The results of the research show that the problem-based learning model has a significant impact on student learning outcomes in class VI mathematics at SD Islam Negeri 3 Aceh Barat. This is proven by the t-test results which show that the significance value is <0.005, which means there is a difference between before and after treatment. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model can be used as a model that can overcome the problem of low student mathematics learning outcomes at elementary school level.

This study began with the low student learning outcomes in class III caused by the learning process that is not optimal. This type of research is a classroom action research. This class action research includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were students in grade III SDN No.152 / II Renah Jelmu with a total of 18 students. Data collection techniques used were tests and observation sheets. The research instruments used included the Learning Implementation Plan with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, test questions and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis while the research approach is quantitative. The research results obtained are as follows; (a) the teacher conducts learning interactively so that the learning process in cycle I runs well and increases in cycle II with very good criteria. (b) Students become active in the learning process, this is shown from the learning activities of students in the first cycle with good enough criteria and then increase in the second cycle with good criteria. (c) Problem Based Learning Model taught coherently will train students' understanding ability, this can be seen from the results of student learning that increased from cycle I only by 78% to 89% in cycle II with very good criteria.

This research aims to apply the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with a Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach assisted by animated videos to improve student learning outcomes in descriptive text material in class VII.2 of SMP Negeri 10 Palembang. This research uses the classroom action research (PTK) method which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle involves planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Trial research subjects in class VII.2 research at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang with a total of 35 students. Collection of observation data, learning results tests, and documentation. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, it can improve the learning outcomes of class VII.2 students at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of student learning outcomes in cycle I by 71% and in cycle II by 88%. The average value of students' abilities in cycle I was 75.14 and in cycle II 84.85. So it can be concluded that applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with a Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach assisted by animated videos in descriptive text material is able to improve student learning outcomes in class VII.2 of SMP Negeri 10 Palembang.

Learning models have been proven to impact student learning outcomes in specific subjects significantly. One of the effective models that teachers consider is problem-based learning (PBL). This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in the Plurality of Indonesian Society subject through the PBL learning model at SMP Negeri 1 Jatisari. The research was conducted in class VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Jatisari in two cycles with two face-to-face meetings. The data collection techniques involved observation using the following instruments: (1) observation of student activities during the learning process; (2) a questionnaire about students' responses to the application of learning models; and (3) student learning outcomes. The findings of this study show that learning with the PBL learning model can enhance student learning outcomes and their understanding of the subject matter. Based on the students' perceptions, the PBL learning model and student learning outcomes can be summarised as follows: (1) student activity in implementing learning has increased, and the teacher's activity is excellent because they are always actively involved in the learning process; (2) the PBL learning model can improve student learning outcomes; and (3) applying the PBL learning model for two cycles can change the mastery of the subject matter among students individually and classically.Keywords: Learning models, problem-based learning, student learning outcomes.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the PMRI approach with the context of cone rice on cone volume material on student learning outcomes in class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam 2018/2019 academic year. The method used in this study was True-Experimental Design with a pre-test design posttest control group design. Sample of students including 30 students in the experimental class (IXH) and 32 control class students (IXI). The data collection techniques used were test and documentation. To measure student mathematics learning outcomes in this study used a written test in the form of essays totaling five questions. The hypothesis of the research is PMRI's approach to the context of cone rice in cone volume material is effective on student learning outcomes in class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam 2018/2019 academic year. The results of students' mathematics test data using the PMRI approach with the context of cone rice on cone volume material on student learning outcomes in class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Pagaralam in the 2018/2019 academic year were obtained from the average.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) berbantuan media video terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada sistem pencernaan pada munanusia kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kanatang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Dalam hal ini penelitian memilih nonequivalent control grup desain. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 26 siswa kelas VIIIC sebagai kelas kontrol dan 26 siswa kelas VIIIB sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 2 Kanatang, semester genap, T.A 2022/2023. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes tertulis sebanyak 15 soal pretest dan 20 soal postest berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan uji statistik, yaitu uji validitas dan uji reabilitas, normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji t (paired sampel t test) menggunakan SPSS versi 22. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diperoleh data rata-rata nilai postest kelas siswa kelas eksperimen yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) berbantuan media video adalah 79,73 lebih tinggi dari kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode ceramah sebesar 68,58. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan uji paired sampel t test diperoleh hasil sig (2- tailed) < 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) berbantuan media video terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem pencernaan pada manusia kelas VIII di SMP N 2 Kanatang.
