The Impact of Utilizing Uno Stacko on Arabic Learning Vocabulary Acquisition

A Arabic language learning, especially in understanding Arabic vocabulary at MTs Abu Bakar Ashshiddiq Lampung Utara is still relatively minimal and is constrained by low student enthusiasm for learning, as well as students' difficulties in understanding Arabic itself, so that innovation is needed in interesting learning methods to help students understand Arabic vocabulary. The purpose of the study was to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of mind map on improving students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary with a constructivist learning approach. The type of research used is classroom action research with the Kurt Lewin model. The research data sources were obtained from the results of observations and interviews, and written tests. The test serves to assess the level of student understanding in understanding Arabic vocabulary. The respondents of this study involved 27 seventh grade students. The test was used to measure students' ability to understand Arabic vocabulary. The results of the study proved an increase in student learning outcomes in cycle I of 59.26% with an increase in cycle II reaching 85.18%. This study proves that the application of mind map integrated with constructivist approach is effective for learning Arabic vocabulary. This research can be used in other subjects. Exploring the implementation of the Think Pair Share model with the drill method in Arabic vocabulary learning is the main objective of this research. Using a qualitative approach through interviews and observations, data analysis was conducted iteratively and in-depth. The research findings indicate that there are four steps in implementing the Think Pair Share model with the drill method in Arabic vocabulary learning. First, the teacher introduces new vocabulary and explains its meaning and usage in sentences to the students. Then, students are given time to process and understand the vocabulary they have just learned through the thinking stage. Next, students are paired with classmates to share and memorize the vocabulary they have learned in turn. Finally, the results of the discussion are shared with the whole class, where the teacher selects several pairs randomly to come forward and convey their understanding of the vocabulary and its meaning to the entire class.

The purpose of this study is to investigate; (1) the method of using storytelling to learn Arabic vocabulary, (2) the emotional state of students when using storytelling to learn, and (3) the impact of storytelling on boosting students' Arabic vocabulary. This study uses Mixed Method Research. Students from the al-Imam Islamic boarding school Metro Kibang East Lampung, a total of 40 students, participated in the study. Observation and testing are the methods used to obtain data. The method of observation was employed to obtain data on the process of using storytelling to acquire the Arabic language vocabulary. The test was conducted to collect information regarding the level of knowledge of Arabic vocabulary before and after using the storytelling. Data was analyzed in two ways. First, qualitative analysis. Second, quantitative analysis was carried out with prerequisite tests and t-tests. The study's findings show that (1) the use of storytelling to learn Arabic stimulates teachers' creativity in developing interesting learning strategies, makes Arabic learning easier, and increases positive emotions, (2) the use of storytelling to learn Arabic has increased children's positive emotions in learning, such as creating enthusiastic and happy behavior in following a series of learning processes, and (3) the use of storytelling to learn Arabic has a significant effect on mastery of Arabic vocabulary. Learning Arabic is easier with the use of storytelling in the form of intriguing and enjoyable stories that are relevant to children's development.

This study examines the application of picture cards to improve the Arabic vocabulary proficiency of seventh grade students at Noor El Hikma Preparatory School, Tolada, North Malangki. Kimis and McTaggart's working research approach was used to monitor the effectiveness of this method in two educational sessions. The results of the study showed that the application of photo cards was effective in improving students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary. This is proven by significantly increasing the average score and level of completion of vocabulary exercises in each course. In the second cycle, 100% of students achieved a minimum completion score of 70%, demonstrating excellent vocabulary proficiency. These results show that picture cards can be a useful educational tool to improve Arabic vocabulary learning, especially for students who have difficulty with traditional educational methods.. This research aims to find out the influence of the ability to memorize the Qur'an on the Arabic vocabulary mastery among students of the boarding school for tahfīdz Qur’an Balikpapan, and follows the analytical descriptive approach to this goal. The methods used by the researcher to collect data are testing, observation and documentation. It is quantitative research with the design of causal association research with a sample of 31 students from the second stage in the preservation of the Qur'an. For data analysis, the researcher used regression equation, selection factors and importance testing. The results of this research show that there is a significant impact of the preservation of the Qur'an with the mastery of Arabic vocabulary. By calculating the importance test analysis that indicates that tvalue (7,482) is greater than ttable (2,045), H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, which means that there is a significant influence between the ability to memorize the Qur’an to the Arabic vocabulary mastery. The percentage of the influence of Qur'anic memorization ability on the ruling of Arabic vocabulary is 65.9%, and 34.1% by other factors. This study investigates the effectiveness of integrating the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with mind mapping techniques in improving students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary at MTsN Batu. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, the research involved two distinct groups: an experimental class and a control class. Vocabulary assessments were conducted both prior to and following the intervention. The findings revealed that students exposed to the PjBL and mind mapping approach showed a notable increase in performance, with their average vocabulary scores rising from 50.17 (pre-test) to 81.67 (post-test). An independent samples t-test produced a p-value of 0.001, confirming a statistically significant difference between the two groups. The results indicate that the use of project-based tasks supported by visual tools like mind maps effectively enhances vocabulary acquisition. Additionally, the strategy promotes greater learner engagement, autonomy, and creativity, offering a promising alternative to traditional lecture-based instruction.

Learning Arabic as a foreign language often causes challenges for school students because of the significant differences to their mother tongue and the unappealing methods of traditional teaching and learning. This development research of online digital game application aims to develop and evaluate an innovative, simple and interactive learning method by adapting the traditional Hangman childhood game by using web-based application development technology of HTML, JavaScript and CSS. The development methodology of this application involves an iterative process between needs analysis, designing, developing, and testing prototypes to ensure that the game produced is of high quality and hopefully meets the needs of students in improving their mastery of Arabic vocabulary. The Hangman digital game that was developed is expected to overcome non-interactive traditional learning methods, with aim to increase students’ motivation in mastering their Arabic vocabulary. The results of the study are expected to contribute to the field of Arabic education by providing an effective learning alternative that attract school students.

This study aims to analyze the effect of using the “Arabic-Indonesian” E-Dictionary application by Ristek Muslim to improve the mastery of Arabic vocabulary of students in Riau. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey and interview method design to obtain comprehensive information about the students' experiences. The population were Arabic Language Education students in Riau who used the "Arabic-Indonesian" dictionary application. A sample size of 33 students was selected using the saturated sampling method. Data collection was done in the form of a questionnaire, which was then analyzed using SPSS. The results of the data obtained showed that there was a significant effect of using digital dictionaries in increasing the vocabulary of Arabic Language Education students in Riau. This can be seen from the percentage of the results of the distribution of questionnaires in the form of a satisfaction survey questionnaire on the dictionary application of Ristek Muslim. In addition, the presence of this application is a solution to the use of digitization so that it can be used anytime and anywhere. The study's recommendation is that educational institutions facilitate the utilisation of digital dictionary applications in the language learning process, and that students be provided with training to optimise the use of these applications. Furthermore, it is anticipated that application developers will continue to update and enhance features in order to better align them with user needs.

Limited vocabulary mastery can interfere with the fluency of the Arabic language learning process. However, not many studies describe the causes or factors that can affect vocabulary mastery in detail and deal with this problem in the Malaysian education system. This case study explores further the main factors that can influence the mastery of Arabic vocabulary at the secondary school level. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with six experienced teachers from four National Religious Secondary Schools (SMKA) in Kedah. Research interview data was analyzed thematically using NVivo 14 software. The study's findings show five main factors affecting vocabulary mastery: self, teacher's approach, syllabus, environment, and the Arabic language program. Based on these five factors, the self-factor is the most important and can affect how well students learn vocabulary. It includes internal factors (belief, interest, and attitude) and external factors (vocabulary use and learning strategies). Thus, teachers are suggested to focus on the students’ self-factor from internal and external aspects to help improve vocabulary mastery. It is believed that encouraging and promoting the various learning strategies, students will be more proactive and creative in enhancing their mastery of new vocabulary.

Project based learning method learning is based on creating and creating and learning the material to be studied, while mastery of student vocabulary is carried out to improve students' abilities in Arabic vocabulary. In its implementation, researchers have tested it on January 5, 2024 at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahussa'adah in Tangerang city. This study aims to determine how much influence the project-based learning method if applied to Arabic language learning that can improve students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary in grade 5 at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahussa'adah Tangerang city by testing in the control class and experimental class. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a population of 80 students, while the sempel taken was grade 5 with a total of 18 students. Data collection techniques used in the form of interviews, documentation and tests with 10 essay questions. The results of the study were found to obtain a value of 4,325 < 5,005, so that the data obtained could be significant that Ha was accepted while Ho was rejected, with the conclusion that this research could improve students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary by applying the project-based learning method in grade 5 at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahussaadah Tangerang city.

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of utilizing the Shuffle and Recall game, a component of the Clash of Champions program, on the Arabic vocabulary mastery among tenth-grade students at MAN 1 Semarang City. The underlying phenomenon was the low level of Arabic vocabulary proficiency among high school students, which is often attributed to the dominance of less interactive conventional teaching methods and the perception that Arabic is a difficult language to learn. The research method employed a quasi-experimental design featuring a pretest-posttest control group. The research population comprised all tenth-grade students at MAN 1 Semarang City during the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 350 students. The results indicated a significant increase in scores within the experimental class. Prior to the intervention, the average pretest scores for both classes were relatively similar or homogeneous (Experimental: 64.57; Control: 63.71). Conversely, the posttest results demonstrated a significant difference, with the average posttest score for the experimental class reaching 84.29, while the control class achieved 72.86. The conclusion is that the Shuffle and Recall game proved to be an effective tool for improving the Arabic vocabulary mastery of tenth-grade students at MAN 1 Semarang City. This game facilitates active learning, enhances short-term and long-term memory through retrieval practice, and fosters increased student learning motivation.

Purpose- The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model of the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) type in improving Arabic vocabulary acquisition among eighth-grade students at MTsN 2 Kota Surabaya. Design/Methodology/Approach- This research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study involved 33 eighth-grade students as research participants. Data were collected through objective tests consisting of multiple-choice and essay questions administered before and after the implementation of the TGT model. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test. Findings- The results revealed a significant increase in students’ average scores from 55.30 in the pretest to 93.00 in the posttest. The t-value of -12.993 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05 indicates that the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted. These findings provide strong evidence that the TGT model is effective in enhancing Arabic vocabulary mastery. Research Limitation/Implications- The implications of these findings suggest that the use of the TGT learning model can serve as an innovative strategy in Arabic language instruction at the secondary level. It is hoped that the results of this study will serve as a reference for educators in selecting more interactive, collaborative, and effective teaching approaches that significantly improve students' learning outcomes.

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Snakes and Ladders-based learning media in improving students' mastery of Arabic vocabulary. Traditional methods like textbooks and static visual aids often fail to engage students actively and ensure consistent vocabulary retention. To address this, the study applied a pre-experimental design with a quantitative approach, using a one-group pretest-post-test format. The intervention involved a life-sized Snakes and Ladders board placed on the classroom floor, where students physically moved as game pieces and answered vocabulary prompts at each square—this setup aimed to provide an interactive learning experience, reinforcing vocabulary through repetition and contextual application. The study involved 18 fourth-grade students, with an initial average pretest score of 71.61, which increased to 94.11 in the Post-test, showing an improvement of 22.50 points. A paired t-test revealed a statistically significant improvement (t(17) = -12.144, p < 0.001), with Cohen's d = 3.79, indicating a substantial impact. These results demonstrate that Snakes and Ladders game-based learning can significantly enhance vocabulary acquisition. Incorporating physical movement, peer interaction, and visual stimuli is vital in reinforcing vocabulary retention, offering a promising alternative teaching method to support Arabic language learning at the elementary level.

This research is to find out the effectiveness of using dubbing and subtitle methods on Arabic vocabulary. The purpose of this research was to determine students' Arabic vocabulary before and after the dubbing and subtitle methods were applied. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The sample of this research was 72 students of class XI MAN 1 Ponorogo. Based on the results of data analysis before being given treatment, the average value of students was 45.76 while after being given treatment was 77.01. This means that there is an increase of 31.25. In the Wilcoxon test, a significance level/p value of 0.001 is obtained, if the Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) smaller than < 0.05 then Ha is accepted. This shows that there is a significant difference between the pretest scores and posttest scores. This means that there are differences in Arabic vocabulary mastery of class XI MAN 1 Ponorogo students before and after using the dubbing and subtitle method.

Introduction: Canadian undergraduate medical Emergency Medicine (EM) rotations are often completed at either tertiary care centres or regional community hospitals. While the latter offer students exposure to different practice settings and population needs, many students perceive that teaching at tertiary care EM departments is superior to that in community hospitals. At our institution, third year undergraduate medical students complete three-week EM rotation at either a tertiary centre or a community hospital. We compared academic and clinical performance between students trained in tertiary care centres and students trained in community hospitals. Methods: Academic and clinical performance in EM was evaluated based on the results of an EM-specific multiple choice examination (MCQE) and an annual Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) assessing competency in a broad range of clinical scenarios commonly addressed in EM. The 40-question MCQE is administered quarterly and a mix of old and new questions are used to ensure consistency. The OSCE is administered annually and relies on the same principal to remain consistent. OSCE scores are binary: pass or fail. We reviewed MCQE and OSCE scores from three consecutive cohorts of students. Students were pooled into two groups, tertiary and community, based on the site of their EM rotation. Mean MCQE and OSCE performance were compared between the two groups of students using two-tailed unpaired T tests. Chi squared tests were used to identify significant differences in scores between cohorts. Results: MCQE and OSCE scores from 312 students over three consecutive cohorts were analyzed. Cohorts included 104, 100, and 108 students with 61% trained in tertiary centres (N = 191). Students trained in tertiary centres had a mean MCQE score of 77%. Students from community centres had a mean score of 78%. There was no significant difference in MCQE scores between tertiary- and community-trained students (p = 0.6099). The OSCE pass rate was 97% for students trained in tertiary centres and 98% for students trained in community centres. OSCE pass rates were not significantly different between the two groups (p = 0.8145). Conclusion: Despite student perceptions that training in tertiary care EM centres was superior, objective analysis showed that academic and clinical performance were similar regardless of training site.
