Abstract

Chapter 3 focused on Schrodinger’s argument that quantum mechanical wave functions (evolving always in accordance with Schrodinger’s own equation) cannot be understood as providing complete descriptions of the physical states of individual systems. In this chapter we focus on a second argument, due largely to Einstein, for the same conclusion – namely, the incompleteness of the quantum mechanical description of physical reality.
