The Software Testing Method Application and Research of Embedded Electronic System

Object-oriented software metrics are important in software engineering field for measurement of the software quality, size estimation, complexity and effort. Object oriented software development is the most popular and best practice in software development. Object oriented software metrics can be used for measuring extend of object orientedness of a program. These quantities are important information indicators, that can be helpful for a software developer in take decisions for designing good software. It is proven that the software metrics provide quantitative information about the structure of the code, which can be used to determine the reliability of software. The design of the software is highly recommended to be object oriented in the software development environment. Software metrics specific to programs that have object oriented design can be used to measure the quality of the software like inheritance, assessing the effects of coupling, the complexity of the code, size aspects, etc, of the software developed in such an environment. Software measurement is a way for assessing the quality of software. Many attributes can define quality of a software, internal (size, complexity) as well as external (reliability)[14]. Often internal attributes are contributing factors to external attributes. Reliability as a term means the degree to which a component, product or system executes specified functions for a specific period of time under specified conditions. Software reliability is the software being trustworthy of the specifications. The aim of the work is to model the relationship between reliability of object oriented software to the object oriented design metrics and predict reliability of software.

Precision agriculture is finding its roots in India. PA always deals with the accuracy and timely information about agriculture products. With the rapid development of computer hardware and software technology, the application of image processing technology in the agricultural research are playing key role [1]. Also, with the advantages of superior speed and accuracy, computer vision has attracted it as an alternative to human inspection [2]. In this paper, we have described a novel application of computer vision and color image segmentation for automating the precise yield prediction process of gerbera flower yield from the polyhouse images. The purpose of the present study is to design a decision support system that could generate flower yield information and serve as base for management & planning of flower marketing. Current study has applied the color image segmentation technique using threshold, to extract the flowers from the scene. Color is considered a fundamental physical property of agriculture products and foods in information analysis [3]. Using HSV color space and histogram analysis, flower color definition is done. Then by the image segmentation process, flowers were separated from the background & detected in the images. Image set with 75 images were tested with this technique.

Software metrics can be an effective measurement tool to assess the quality of software. In the literature, there are a lot of software metrics applicable to systems implemented in different paradigms like Objects Oriented Programming (OOP). To guide the use of these metrics in the evaluation of the quality of software systems, it is important to define their thresholds. The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of the thresholds in the evaluation of the quality of object oriented software. To do that, we used a threshold catalog of 18 software metrics derived from 100 software systems to define detection strategies for five bad smells. They are: Large Class, Long Method, Data Class, Feature Envy and Refused Bequest. We investigate the effectiveness of the thresholds in detection analysis of 12 software systems using these strategies. The results obtained by the proposed strategies were compared with the results obtained by the tools JDeodorant and JSPiRIT, used to identify bad smells. This study shows that the metric thresholds were significantly effective in supporting the detection of bad smells.

This paper shows that existing software metric tools interpret and implement the definitions of object-oriented software metrics differently. This delivers tool-dependent metrics results and has even implications on the results of analyses based on these metrics results. In short, the metrics-based assessment of a software system and measures taken to improve its design differ considerably from tool to tool. To support our case, we conducted an experiment with a number of commercial and free metrics tools. We calculated metrics values using the same set of standard metrics for three software systems of different sizes. Measurements show that, for the same software system and metrics, the metrics values are tool depended. We also defined a (simple) software quality model for maintainability based on the metrics selected. It defines a ranking of the classes that are most critical wrt. maintainability. Measurements show that even the ranking of classes in a software system is metrics tool dependent.

With the rapid development of hardware and software technology, modern industry has produced a large amount of high-dimensional unlabeled data, such as pictures and videos. As clusters of these data sets may exist in some subspaces, traditional algorithms are no longer applicable. The related algorithms based on sparse subspace can find clusters in the subspace, which solves the problem of high data dimension. However, their clustering process based on only one single feature, which results in their performance being particularly sensitive to this single view. Affected by the integrated algorithm, a large number of multi-view methods began to emerge. These methods improve the clustering performance by integrating the subspace expressions of multiple views, but the problem is that the complementary information of multiple views cannot be fully considered. In addition, the problem of non-uniform distribution in clusters also exists in high-dimensional data sets. In this paper, based on the multi-view subspace clustering method, a clustering algorithm based on tensor low rank expression is proposed to solve the clustering problem of high-dimensional datasets. On the one hand, this paper solves the problem of noise and data corruption by combining the method of $\ell _{2,1} $ norms, which transform the optimization problem of solving multi-view subspace expression into a low-rank expression problem of tensor to fully consider the complementarities between views. On the other hand, the proposed scheme solves the problem of non- uniform distribution in clusters in high-dimensional data by combining with the density peak algorithm based on hierarchical strategy. Experiment results show the effectiveness of the algorithm.

Welcome to the International Conference on Software and Systems Process (ICSSP) held in Zurich, Switzerland, on June 2nd and 3rd, 2012. Having grown from a Software Process Workshop in 2005 to the International Conference on Software Process (ICSP) in 2007, and finally to the International Conference on Software and Systems Process (ICSSP) in 2011, this conference series has established its place in the software engineering community as a respected conference focusing on research and practice related to software and systems development process. Software and software systems development use processes as one major means for achieving and ensuring the quality of the final product. This leads to specific challenges regarding software processes such as simplicity, adaptability, standard conformance, the coordination of multiple domains and lifecycles, etc. Processes from other domains (e.g., health care, manufacturing, business, aerospace, automotive systems, and others) face similar challenges. Yet, they share interesting similarities with and differences to software processes. The question is: How can we in the software domain learn from other domains to meet our software process engineering challenges? The ICSSP conferences hence connect the traditional software and systems process community with outside views and insights, broadening its scope of software development processes to system development and explicitly including processes of other domains such as health care, business, and manufacturing. By sharing process development theories and practices from such domains, ICSSP 2012 is investigating novel solutions to today's process challenges. Correspondingly, the main theme of ICSSP 2012 is Beyond Software and Software Systems Processes, signaling our goal of learning from domains other than the traditional software process community.

The selection of software metrics for building software quality prediction models is a search‐based software engineering problem. An exhaustive search for such metrics is usually not feasible due to limited project resources, especially if the number of available metrics is large. Defect prediction models are necessary in aiding project managers for better utilizing valuable project resources for software quality improvement. The efficacy and usefulness of a fault‐proneness prediction model is only as good as the quality of the software measurement data. This study focuses on the problem of attribute selection in the context of software quality estimation. A comparative investigation is presented for evaluating our proposed hybrid attribute selection approach, in which feature ranking is first used to reduce the search space, followed by a feature subset selection. A total of seven different feature ranking techniques are evaluated, while four different feature subset selection approaches are considered. The models are trained using five commonly used classification algorithms. The case study is based on software metrics and defect data collected from multiple releases of a large real‐world software system. The results demonstrate that while some feature ranking techniques performed similarly, the automatic hybrid search algorithm performed the best among the feature subset selection methods. Moreover, performances of the defect prediction models either improved or remained unchanged when over 85were eliminated. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

The Monte Carlo method for high‐energy photon and charged particle transport is the most accurate means for predicting dose distributions in radiation treatment of patients. Owing to rapid development of computer hardware and network technologies the use of this method is not restricted only to big research centers any more. A new parallel Monte Carlo electron and photon transport (PMCEPT) code [Kum and Lee, J. Kor. Phys. Soc. 47 (2005) 716] for calculating electron and photon beam doses has been developed based on a three dimensional geometry defined by computerized tomography (CT) images and implemented on the Beowulf PC cluster. The PMCEPT code was validated on the homogeneous and multi‐layered targets for megavoltage electron beams by comparing with the results of experiments and calculations from conventional Monte Carlo codes of the MCNP5, EGS4, and DPM. The computing time of the PMCEPT code was approximately twenty times faster than that of MCNP5 on the IBM ThinkPad X40 (laptop) with 1.2‐GHz CPU and 512‐MB ram memory operated by RedHat Linux 9. The PMCEPT results in general agreed well with others in homogeneous and heterogeneous media within a maximum of 2–3 % error. At the conference, we will show various benchmark results for the PMCEPT. In recent years, with the rapid development of computer hardware and algorithm technology, artificial intelligence has shown significant advantages in product design, medical diagnosis and finance. This paper applies the method of visual analysis to reveal the research hotspots of user-centred product design in the field of artificial intelligence and discusses the future development trend of this field. The data for this study comes from 670 documents in the Web of Science database. Using visualisation tools such as CiteSpace 6.1.1 and VOSviewer, the literature on "Artificial Intelligence (AI)", "Users" and "Product Design (PD)" was analysed for the period from 2004 to 2024. Product Design (PD)" literature was analysed. Product Design (PD)" literature was analysed. It was found that over the past two decades, research in this field can be broadly categorised into three phases: initial development, rapid development and fluctuating growth. China has become a major force in this research area and has made a significant impact. The main research directions focus on technology and management innovation, advanced technology and industrial change, information technology and applications, and technology and user experience. The results of the study expose that user-centered product and service design needs to pay more attention to intelligence and personalization as a way to drive the development of service quality improvement.

Summary form only given. Software metrics have become an integral part of software development and are used during every phase of the software development life cycle. Research in the area of software metrics tends to focus predominantly on static metrics that are obtained by static analysis of the software artifact. But software quality attributes such as performance and reliability depend on the dynamic behavior of the software artifact. Estimating software quality attributes based on dynamic metrics for the software system are more accurate and realistic. The research presented in this paper attempts to narrow the gap between static metrics and dynamic metrics, and lay the foundation for a more systematic approach to estimate the dynamic behavior of a software system early in the software development cycle. Focusing on coupling metrics, we present an empirical study to analyze the relationship between static and dynamic coupling metrics and propose the concept of pseudo dynamic metrics to estimate the dynamic behavior early in the software development lifecycle.

Today, multicultural classrooms are prevalent in American schools. One of the prominent characteristics for multicultural classrooms is that more and more English as a second language speakers are participating in classrooms in which English is the main language for delivering instruction. Furthermore, with the rapid development of computer hardware and software, instructional system developers are able to employ different graphics display strategies in developing hypermedia instruction. Thus, a research study has been conducted to investigate the relationship of learners' language backgrounds and different computer graphics display strategies. Four versions of hypertext instruction were developed with identical text in each instructional program but with different levels of computer graphics displays in each. Data were collected from 100 graduate students at a large southwest state university. After analyzing the data, a significant result that learners' language backgrounds did make a difference in their academic performance was found. Conclusion and implications for future studies were provided.

DDMTS: A novel dynamic load balancing scheduling scheme under SLA constraints in cloud computing

Histopathological examination, as the "gold standard" recognized by the medical community, can easily reach the resolution of microns and is a qualitative examination. With the rapid development of computer hardware and software, deep learning has been triggered in the computer-aided diagnosis of medical images. To create an algorithm to identify metastatic cancer in small image patches taken from larger digital pathology scans, we proposed a hybrid deep learning model which combining Resnet and Densenet We combined Resnet and Densenet to extract image features. We introduced some related work about the histopathological examination. In the experiment, we compared our model with other models, the elevation metrics is accuracy and Auc-Roc score. From the definition, the higher Auc Roc Score and accuracy are, the better performance the model will gain. On the modified version of the PatchCamelyon (PCam) benchmark dataset, Our model achieved the highest AUC score (0.971) and highest accuracy (0.982) on the test set.

Developing from IC and PCB, the SIP (system in a package) has already been one of the most important development directions of future electronic system; therefore, we desiderate the study of testing design and test method. Being incapable of adding circuits for testable design, the SIP can only design test method and process according to the existing resources. Test method in this paper takes into account both the IC characteristic and the PCB characteristic of SIP, using the test results of bare dies and substrates in SIP, combined with the SIP production process, identify the steps may cause failure, determine the test projects, and finally complete the test method design. At the same time, consideration has already be given to both test coverage and the cost, it fulfill the actual requirement of SIP.

In response to Deming's arguments and in light of perception that software industry is unable to produce quality products on schedule, and within budget, more software development organisations are now emphasising process measurement, monitoring, and assessment. This paper describes what is meant by software process and discusses an approach for its measurement and improvement. INTRODUCTION Unreliable software makes big news, from emergency services disasters to social security payment blunders. Improved software quality is essential to ensure reliable products and services, and gain customer satisfaction. While software development has existed for more than four decades, we failed so far to make as an industry and as an engineering discipline rather than craft. Developing reliable and usable software that is delivered on and within budget still represents difficult endeavour for many organisations. As role of software becomes increasingly critical for businesses as well as for human lives, problems caused by software products that are late, over budget, or that do not work, become magnified. If lives are lost or people inconvenienced due to incapable computer software, news media is there to make big stories. Organisations are realising that their fundamental problems is immaturity of their software process. Robert Lai (1993) proposes that process improvement is second maturity wave of software industry. He states that the first wave of software was developed using waterfall model in 1970's. Taking lead in this area has been Watts Humphrey (Humphrey 1989, 1990, 1991), and Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University. SEI started in 1986 to develop process maturity framework to help organisations appraise maturity of their software process, and to provide guidance for organisations to improve their software process capability. A brief description of framework was released in September 1987, including maturity questionnaire. SEI evolved model and questionnaire into 5 -Level Capability Maturity Model (CMM) in 1991. In February 1993, released CMM version 1.1 (Paulk et al 1993). This paper discusses software process and describes capability maturity model (CMM). It also shows how CMM can be used as basis to measure maturity of software process of an organisation and plan its improvement. SOFTWARE QUALITY AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT In his book Quality is Free Phil Crosby states that: Quality is free. It is not gift, is free. THE SOFTWARE PROCESS Adopting process view of software development represents revolutionary change in perspective. A process orientation to software development involves elements of structure, focus, measurement, ownership, skills, and supporting technology. In this section we investigate what is meant by software process. What Is Software Process According to Webster's dictionary, process is a system of operations in producing something .. series of actions, changes, or functions that achieve an end result. Chambers Concise Dictionary defines process as a series of actions or events .. sequence of operations or changes undergone. IEEE defines process as a sequence of steps performed for given purpose. In general business context, process is defined as a structured, measured set of activities designed to produce specified output for particular customer or market (Davenport 1993). These definitions put strong emphasis on HOW work is done, in contrast to product focus's emphasis on WHAT. Accordingly, process can be considered as a specific ordering of work activities across and place, with beginning, an end, and clearly identified inputs and outputs: structure for action. Even if you get best people available, if they do not follow common process, if everyone wrote in different programming languages, used different conventions, or didn't co-ordinate their design and code changes with their peers, results will be chaos. Successful software organisations have learned that even best professionals need structured and disciplined environment in which to do cooperative work. Software organisations that do not establish such disciplines condemn their people to endless hours of repetitively solving technically trivial problems. obvious fact is that attracting best people is vital, but is also essential to support them with an effectively managed software process. Technology and Software Process Another myth is widespread belief that some technologically advanced tool or method will provide magic answer to software crisis. This is not only wrong, but is dangerous. Organisations which jumped on bandwagon of CASE tools, and ended up in failure and wasted and effort have learned their lesson hard way. Just ask yourself before introducing technology: What do I want to automate? In absence of defined, practised, and managed process, introducing automation can lead to increased chaos. There are several factors which limit effective use of software technology: an illdefined process, inconsistent process implementation, and poor process management. Software technology cannot be fully effective until these problems have been properly addressed. Need for Defined Process If no effort is made to define and enhance software development process across whole organisation, each software development project latches on to its own tools, methods, and practices with little guidance available on how to use them. This ad hoc approach will not be sufficient to tackle task of developing complex software systems. goal of software process management is to enable organisations to produce software that meets cost, schedules, and quality objectives. principles are same that underpins statistical process control-principles that have been successfully used in controlling scientific experiments and in high -volume manufacturing operations. Statistical concepts have been found to be just as applicable to software development as they are to production of manufactured goods such as motor cars. Applying such concepts will only be possible if there is defined and managed process.
