Abstract

Este artigo evidencia como os aspectos concernentes à tradição oral e à ancestralidade africanas, em Jesusalém (2009), contribuem à reafirmação da identidade cultural moçambicana. O romance de Mia Couto é uma narrativa da pós-independência de emancipação política de Moçambique que problematiza e desconstrói alguns dos estereótipos que edificaram, historicamente, determinados “paradigmas identitários” em África. O trabalho está ancorado nas teorizações de Fourshey, Gonzales e Saidi (2019); Bhabha (2019), etc. O estudo possibilitou o entendimento de que a reconstrução identitária de sociedades pilhadas, para além do discurso denunciativo, se dá e se efetiva pela valorização das tradições autóctones.
